1 Star - This Verizon Store Is a Disgrace This specific Verizon store should be ashamed of how it operates. I came to pick up my SIM card after switching my service, only to be told at 6:15 PM that they were "closed," even though their posted hours say they close at 7 PM. Doors locked. No assistance. No accountability. We're in the middle of a snowstorm, and I need working phone service to stay in contact with my family. Instead, this store chose to shut down early and leave a paying customer without communication. That's not just poor service -- it's negligence. A Verizon store represents the Verizon brand. If this is how they operate, it reflects badly on the entire company. Taking customers' money is easy. Providing actual service when it matters is what counts -- and this store failed completely. I will be filing a formal complaint and warning others to avoid this location. read more

The giant sign outside that says 'Any person Any phone any condition!' Is only for new users or people who want to upgrade and change their plan to the 'newest' most expensive (but they'll try to convince you like the worst used car salesman that it's not) plan. We had a broken phone WITH INSURANCE and that wasn't even good enough to meet their advertised plan. When the salesperson attempted to explain the upgrade options for our phone with FULL INSURANCE BUT STILL NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE ADVERTISED UPGRADE SOMEHOW, they explained that we could 'pay off' our current phone and then, and only then, would they be able to tell us what we were eligible for in trade-in. So, pay off the phone in full between 200-300 and then they tell us IF we qualify for an upgrade and for how much and it 'could be anywhere between 300 and 1000 depending on the plan' (and here they took another opportunity to try and hard sell an entirely new plan even though we only needed a new phone). Finally out of exasperation we asked to just get the 'old' replacement phone with the Insurance we have fully paid for, but, that is a separate service NOT HANDLED AT ALL BY VERIZON AND YOU HAVE TO CALL AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT! Just terrible horrible no good very bad service from a customer perspective. It may not be the employee's fault, it seems like Verizon set them up for failure with all of the ridiculous rules and plans. In any event, we just walked over to AT&T and traded everything in without a challenge or upsells or bs. I'd avoid this store and Verizon if possible. read more

I dropped into this location when I dropped my phone and filed an insurance claim. I got my phone delivered the next day and had to go back into the store to get help with activation. I was in and out both times in less than 20 minutes. I had an awful experience at a different location last year and didn't have high hopes but they were awesome both times. I will now be going exclusively to this location and had a positive experience! read more

Verizon overall is not a good company unless you just have a bunch of people to make your bill cheaper a month. I bought out my phone & my boyfriends phone & spent WAY to much on such little benefits. We were paying 219$ a month for 2 phones. Then after paying off his phone they informed me mine was still going to be 152$ which didn't make since to me. I then decided to buyout my payment plan & switch to straight talk. Funny enough I have better service then I did with Verizon, rewards on the app were the only thing that was given to us and they take that away the second you don't have an account with them anymore so... wouldn't supposed Verizon wireless as your phone company. read more

From reading other reviews, it's evident the staff at this location are creatures of habit when it comes to omitting important details. My wife and I switched from Sprint to Verizon, and did so with the "help" of this Verizon Store location. To spare you a novel's-worth of reading, the salesman by the name of Ryan Connor was deceptive in his conversational tactics with us, and omitted providing instructions on how to redeem a "switch credit" to pay-off the remainder of our agreement with Sprint. We both stated and reiterated we did not want the "Hum by Verizon" service added to our account, and he spun the deal to appear and sound as though it was part of the package which could not be removed. I wound up canceling the Hum service and returning the device anyway, but the headache and extra steps could have been prevented if Ryan had listened to us from the beginning. If you visit this Verizon store location, I STRONGLY recommend avoiding this salesman. Because of his deceptive behavior and ineptitude when it comes to explaining the process behind things like "switch credits" (carrier provides funding for switching to them over a competitor), my wife and I both now have to foot the bill to Sprint for $400+ dollars. At no point was it explained to us that we had to submit online forms to process receiving such credits within 30 days of account activation, and I only discovered these facts by calling Verizon (for an hour and a half) after the 30 day time frame. Again, I STRONGLY encourage avoiding this salesman (Ryan Connor). The store itself is well-kept, and presentable. All the other staff (save Ryan) were very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, no amount of aesthetics can earn this Verizon Store location more than a single star. Perhaps some training in people skills is necessary. read more

Wrote this on Google yesterday and still no refund or contact other than a canned answer. Verizon doesn't care.....buyer be ware! How can I put zero stars? Horrible experience as I did an internet order and went to pick it up at the Concord Mills Store. I stood outside and waited for a minute and a pleasant young lady went in to grab my phone and case and brought it out quickly. Unfortunately they had a rose case instead of a smoke grey. When I let her know she started helping others and asked me to wait. I stood there for a few minutes and I was feeling ignored when she said she didn't forget me. Then a young man comes out and starts talking to her and they started looking at their pads. She told him I was waiting on a case exchange and he looked and then looked back at his pad and started calling other people. When I inquired about getting my case switched out he told me I would have to wait as he had a list in front of me. I'm not on the list as I have been standing here and all I need is a case swapped. He never even tried to understand what was going on or how long I had been standing there. My receipt had the correct case on it so we are talking about a quick get the right case and when I asked for the manger he quickly informed me in a smug way he was the manger....Christan J Ruiz Ayesta is his name and it would have taking him 40 seconds to view my receipt and give me the case. Again my receipt was correct. I asked for a full refund and he put his hands up like he wouldn't take the bag or help and that he was going to make me wait either way!. I left the bag in front of him on the sidewalk as that's where we were standing due to Covid with phone and everything......maybe its time for a new phone provider. For what I spend monthly and the money I've given Verizon over the past 20 plus years this is absolutely unacceptable. This is one of the nicer VZW stores I've had the pleasure of visiting. However, the wait is always long and the gimmicks are always in play. I only go when I have to. The displays are live and you can play with various devices until your heart is content. The salespeople are always locked in to whatever Verizon tells them they can or can't do. The customer service is lacking when it comes to troubleshooting or satisfying a customer's true needs. If you simply want to buy a phone, they are all over it! Good luck! read more

Shout out to Mark for being SUPER helpful! Went in to transfer an existing number/line from ATT. Waited only a few minutes before Mark came to help us. Things hit a snag when we realized ATT put a lock on my fully paid off iPhone. Mark not only knew exactly what to do but even had the customer service line for ATT memorized and walked us through the whole process. He knew the shortcuts to bypass the obnoxious automated response service and get through to an actual person Asap and he knew the correct lingo to get the phone unlocked asap. Even with the road bump we were in and out in about a half hour. Which is incredible for what I thought was going to a serious process but mark made it simple! Thanks again!! read more

The store is overall very nice, but as stated, it is always busy. I came last year to upgrade my device and was ready to pay my $200 upgrade fee. The sales guy informed me of this new "Edge" plan. Well... I was misinformed. He only told me about half of the real agreement. I was told instead of paying the upgrade fee, this would be spread over the course of a year and I had the option to upgrade at the end of the year and keep going with it, or I could keep the device and my bill would lower to the original amount. Long story short, the guy that sold me the phone lied. What he told me was not at all what I signed up for. Now I am stuck in this TWO YEAR agreement. Be careful what the sales people are telling you. Make sure you know your stuff beforehand. read more

OK, Verizon...I pay $200ish for three phones with limited data. So with Verizon giving this new deal of $35 ($105 for the 3 phones) unlimited data I give them a call and they tell me, "oh, no it will cost more for you to be on the unlimited plan!" Oh really what the heck!!!! This is so crazy....Why is it going cost more!!!!!! WTHECK??? So I wonder what Sprint is like????!!!! Verizon I give you one star rating. I've been a Verizon Customer since 2004 and received the worst service in 12 years from Daniel Dye, Manager at 8603 Concord Mill Blvd Concord, NC this past Friday. One of his associates did not fully explain to me back in October how the promotional trade-in works. Daniel told me - She did not have to disclose how the program works and pretty much tried to demean my character as an individual and a customer. It was very shocking and upsetting to know that Daniel as a "manager" would treat a customer as if "customer service" not longer exists. Neither Daniel Dye or Krista bothered to simply apologize for not informing me fully how the program works. If she had explained, I would've postponed purchasing a phone. Hopefully, Verizon Wireless will use this feedback as a training opportunity for their staff, especially at the store location mentioned above. read more

The customer service at this authorized retailer is lousy. I ordered an iPhone through them and was told I could pick it up from the store when it was delivered. I received the email notification from Verizon that it had shipped and was able to follow the shipment through the tracking number. The phone was delivered to the store yesterday morning (Fri, Oct 19, 2012). I called the number on the receipt from my order at around 5:00 yesterday and left a message stating I would pick it up soon. I went to the store after work - was there at 6:00ish and the phone was not there!!! The employees in the store searched the entire store - then called a few other employees. That's when we all found out the phone was taken out of the store. Apparently there had been some thefts at the store (yikes) so someone decided it would be best to take the phone I ordered out of the store for safekeeping. I was not contacted that the phone was being taken out of the store. Arrangements were made to have the phone delivered to a store that is closer to where I live (I work close to Concord, but live much farther away) and I'm able to pick it up this morning. Two trips just to pick up my phone. Quite the inconvenience! read more
