I went into the store because I wanted to pay off my phones. I want to try to lower my monthly bill for the new year. I told the Verizon employee that I wanted to do this. I had no idea that my son's phone was a buyout on a promotion agreement. He is in college in another state. I pay all of his bills. Anyway, the Verizon employee just ran my credit card right through. I paid $750.00 for a phone that was basically "free" because of the promotion agreement that I was not aware of. The employee could have taken a moment to look at my plan. I feel that it is his job to look at my plan and review it with me before swiping my card. My son traded his phone and got this agreement. I was not with him when he made this transaction so I was unaware of this "deal". Again, he is a college student in another state. When I got home, I looked at my account. My bill only decreased by $68.00. I noticed that a 4th phone magically appeared on my statement. It was a phone number that I had never seen before. I went back to the Verizon store to see what went wrong. The employees told me that I had just thrown away $750.00 by paying off my son's phone because it was basically "free" under the promotional agreement. They did help me remove the mystery phone number and charges that had magically appeared. I appreciated that. I asked if they could, please, refund my money and add the phone back on my statement. The Verizon employees told me that it was not possible. When I asked to speak to the man who ran my credit card, I was told that he was on a break. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told that he was busy in the back. I went home and spent 3 hours on the phone trying to get in touch with someone in the Verizon customer service department. After HOURS of trying to get through, being put on hold for 30 minutes, hanging up because nobody answered, calling back, being put on hold again, nobody answering, etc. I called the Verizon store and one of the managers put me directly through to the lady in the Philippines. After about an hour and a half spent talking and being put on hold, she said that she was going to try to cancel the $750.00 charge and restore my son's phone to my monthly bill. I was so grateful to her! Yet, at the same time, I have never felt more taken advantage of in my whole life by the way I was treated at the Verizon store. Verizon, please don't treat anyone else the way you treated me. Take a minute and review the person's plan before taking their money. Offer your expertise. We come to you for GUIDANCE with our phone plans. Everyone has a job. Most of us try our best to do our jobs to the best of our ability while treating people with kindness, respect, and offering guidance, because that is what a good employee is supposed to do. You might want to try to work on being part of the solution instead of part of the problem. I probably should have been more knowledgeable of my plan, but I wasn't. Thank you to the kind lady in the Philippines who understood that not everyone can know everything about everything all of the time, and that being helpful to others is really what it is all about. read more

Too expensive! Also customer service has consistently gone downhill. Getting help with this business is nearly impossible. End up with multiple representatives who transfer you or drop your call, then repeating your problem over and over. It's such a monopoly here. Depressing! read more

I'm actually in the store right now. There are TWO people actually servicing clients. The other guy is just on his phone and doing coffee runs. When I came before the hours on the door didn't match the online hours and they wouldn't even open the door when I knocked (it was locked) before either of the closing times. It's really sad to see the decline in service since the store aesthetic improved drastically. Would not recommend. read more

Good store. Looking to switch my current provider and was provided with some great options. Location can be a little crowded depending on when you go, but the workers do there best to make sure you're taken care of. The location was clean and there was plenty of room to roam around. read more

One of the worst experiences I have ever been too. As a former Verizon employee, I am disgusted at what I saw here. I was a former manager and never in a million years would I leave my reps alone to handle my responsibilities without giving them the right tools for success. I don't blame the reps for being as unprepared as they are with not knowing basic knowledge you can find in "info manager". The manager needs to do her/his job and check to see if this is what they want because at this moment, the store is not representing what Verizon's Credo preaches. read more

We were able to upgrade our phones and so my wife took our current phones in for our upgrade. As finances are pretty tight at the moment, my wife explained that we could not afford anything too fancy. The lady my wife was dealing with was very nice, gave us a very good deal on trading our old phones, plus gave us 2 wireless chargers, 2 regular chargers, a Boze wireless speaker to go with our new phone. All we had to pay out of pocket, was less than $60, this lady saved us a ton! We have been with Verizon for many years and will continue to remain their customer. read more

Staff not helpful at all but this seems to be the norm for the Verizon Brand. Policies are the worst & staff is rude & of no help. They stand around doing nothing & cannot help you with anything other than purchasing a new phone. Do not waste your time on the Insurance because the so called replacement phones are refurbished. Stick to used phones because 9 times out of 10 your phone has been recycled. read more

Was in dire need of a new phone and because I work from home I could not be with out! During these trying times I did not expect Verizon to be open. But a kind women met me at the door and escorted me to a representative that handled all my needs. Douglasville has always been my go to store and they are always nice. Rude RUDE RUDE. I wanted to start a service. Got approval online but went to the store to try and find what phone I wanted. The employees here are under the assumption that they are doing you a favor by being there. We walked out after being talked down to and went to a different provider all together. read more

My plan is paid thru my upgrade date next month, so I went in to this store to see about upgrading early. Associate Burke said I could if I gave them my old phone. I told him I read that sales associates could authorize early upgrades as deals for customers, and I want to keep my old phone to give to my son. He said that was true, but "you'd have a better chance getting elected president than me giving you a deal." His smug arrogance angered me so much I just walked out of the store to avoid making a scene. Tried calling the store three times and was hung up on each time. The line would be answered and then a hangup click. I will never go to this store again. I may cancel my service just based upon this treatment. read more
