In addition, my data would be unrecoverable. So, after doing my own research into logic board repairs for my specific model, I learned that it was possible to fix my MacBook and recover my data. So, after searching for local specialists, I found ThinqMac. My first conversation with one of their employees immediately made me feel that I was in good hands. The gentleman corroborated a lot of the information I had found out through my own research. The technicians ran some tests on my computer and eventually sent it out to a company that specializes in logic board repair. In the end, after being told by UBreakIFix and Apple that my data was unrecoverable and my computer would never turn on again, the folks at ThinqMac proved them wrong. My computer has been as good as new for the last 4 months and I was able to recover my data. Don't waste your time anywhere else, the folks at ThinqMac know what they are doing. Thank you again!

Incompetent, overpriced, gross experience. Unprofessional technician came to "help" me program a new smart key for my car. His van had clearly been in an accident, and even standing outside the van the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. 2 hours in, he left me with a key that didn't even work fully. Paid over $700 for that key, the genuine key from my dealership, with THE CORRECT programming for a key that actually worked was $500. They wouldn't issue a refund. Terrible company.

Tom was on time, patiently understanding my frustration with the situation. Within no time he was able to make a key from my car I not only he kept his number but when you I was telling you people about the service and how pleased I was with the gentleman that they sent over, they asked me for the name of the company since they need a good locksmith, in case of an emergency. Tom was very polite and professional, and I felt safe with him. Late at night. I hope I am never in this position again. But if I am, I know what I will be doing. Marc walked me through several different options and gave his advice after learning what specifically I was looking to accomplish. I followed his advice and couldn't be happier with the result. He booked the job for only 3 business days later and was able to complete the entire job in just under a full day. Other places I looked into were booking 3-4 weeks out and suggested my install would take at least 2 days. Not only does the system sound incredible, but the price was very fair. Finally, the install itself is flawless. No evidence that any work was done at all and everything works exactly as it did...only the sound is incredible. These people came in five years ago and set up our system, claiming we had all of these technological issues from the previous owners and that they had a solution to fix it -- Control 4. They hooked our sonos, apple tv, cable, and pool controls to this app. They got rid of our regular fios cable remote and replaced it with a control 4 remote and had us download the control 4 app. This worked fine for a few years, but then there started to be problems. At first, they were responsive and came by to help. But then, they stopped returning our calls. The control 4 app stopped working so we couldn't control our pool. Our cable view is completely zoomed in and cuts off the edge of the frame but since we don't have the Fios remote anymore, we can't fix it, and since they won't answer our calls or emails, they won't fix it. Our TV randomly flickers like strobe lights. The remote works half the time. The TV really only functions as an apple TV because of how badly they messed up the cable connection. If they called us back and fixed the issues, I wouldn't have a problem with their complicated set up. No other company wants to touch what they've done. If you've used them already, good luck if you run into any problems. I hope they answer your calls. We are still desperately looking for any IT company or person willing to help dig us out of this tangled mess untangled created.
