I am pasting an email that I sent to the CEO of Verizon today. This location is an absolute JOKE. Don't even bother attempting to receive help from them. And if the "employees" that were there and remember me, please know I have the entire audio of our interaction before you try to respond with lies. I am writing to formally report an extremely concerning and unacceptable experience I had at a Verizon authorized retail store located at 2465 Iron Point Rd., Folsom, CA 95630 on April 16, 2026, at approximately 1:45 PM. We remained in the store until 2:35 PM attempting to resolve an issue caused by Verizon, yet the situation escalated due to the conduct of the store's employees. As the account holder and a Verizon customer for nearly 14 years with multiple lines on our account, I expect a far higher level of professionalism and customer care than what we experienced. The reason I am contacting you directly is because I am genuinely livid with how I was treated. I understand that poor service can happen from time to time, and I typically give the benefit of the doubt and move on. However, this experience was far beyond that. Even an hour after leaving the store, I am still extremely upset by how the situation was handled. I know this is not the level of service Verizon expects from its employees, and that is why I feel this needs to be brought to the top level for review. We visited the store to return a Verizon home internet modem that was sent to us in error. The equipment was never opened or used. Instead of receiving assistance, we were met with dismissive and unprofessional behavior. I was told they would get someone on the phone to help us, and he walked away. We waited at least 10 min and only heard him and 4 or 5 others in the back, laughing and talking about things not related to work. Nobody was calling anyone like we were told. So, I called 611 on my own. They were gathered in the back of the store socializing and laughing while customers, including ourselves and another individual who entered during our visit, were ignored. The exception was one employee who was with a customer and seemed like the only one wanting to work. After waiting and observing this, I expressed frustration about the lack of service. Rather than de-escalating the situation or assisting us, an employee accused me of having an "attitude," which further escalated the interaction. My frustration was a direct result of being ignored while employees were visibly not working. Because of my "attitude", I was told to leave the store. I didn't, because I did nothing wrong. I informed the representative that I would be placing her on speakerphone so she could directly communicate with the store employees. She then clearly advised that the equipment could be accepted and returned at that location. Despite hearing this directly, the employee still refused to process the return. Due to how escalated the interaction had become, the representative then instructed us to leave the equipment at the store and exit immediately, confirming that the return would be considered complete. As we were leaving, store employees continued to contradict this instruction and yelled for us to take the equipment with us, stating, "we aren't processing this, so take it." We followed Verizon's direction and left the equipment in the store before exiting. This experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. At no point did we feel respected or supported as customers. The refusal to follow direct instruction from Verizon customer support, combined with the behavior displayed by staff, raises serious concerns about oversight and accountability at authorized retail locations. Given the severity of this situation, I am requesting a formal review of this incident, including the conduct of the employees involved and the store's refusal to follow Verizon customer support direction. Verizon: How do you propose to escalate my case, as you promised in your posted response to my initial review? You don't have the account number, not even my last name! I strongly encourage you to read the reviews posted here and heed the warnings! As others have indicated, I too fell victim to their unscrupulous sales people. They promised me all sorts of wonderful things, that I'd save money by switching from Xfinity, and that they would reimburse me for the cost of ending my contract with Xfinity and my mobile provider. Once they got me signed up, the sales person literally disappeared. For over a month, he failed to return calls, and when I went into the store, they would tell me he was "out sick" and couldn't be reached. After about six weeks he finally called back and gave me a bunch of confusing nonsense about how I was getting the things he promised even though it wasn't reflected on the bill, and to just be patient. The "be patient" routine is just to blow off the customer until it's been long enough that it become hard to dispute. He also added a second Internet gateway, for which I have no need, but which was billed to me each month. Trying to reach anyone by phone or chat is pointless. If you ever do manage to connect with someone, you will be shuffled around to one person after another, and eventually someone will tell you that they can't hear you so they are disconnecting! I was totally screwed over by Verizon, and my only hope at this point is that a class action suit will be initiated, because it is clear that this is a widespread pattern of behavior for this company. No lube and a 30 min wait. Ready to upgrade, great here's a deal. Get this watch and add a free line (which will save you an extra $10 off your total bill ) waited 3 weeks and my bill went from $108 to $235 and $139 there after. Where it should have been a grand total of $127 total. They said they'll wave the activation fees and save me money just by taking a free SIM card with a basic line. W T F BS is this. I don't mind paying a premium service but not when I get bent over and F'd without lube I've been with Verizon for over a decade. Ordered a new phone online, once I walked in I had to wait a little since there was a line which is NO PROBLEM. After waiting for 10 minutes another customer and his kid with an ice cream cone comes walking in blowing by me in the line and starts demanding help, one of the employees sitting behind the counter advises him that I'm next in line and he is going to have to wait his turn, but then another employee decides to help him first instead of me, completely ignored the fact that I was next in line. After waiting another 20 minutes, someone finally helps me, I was at this location for a pickup for my new phone. He asks for the name it's under and goes into the back. Comes out about another 8 minutes later and asks me for the name again with the phone in his hand, told him I'm on the account and that my mother was the one who ordered it and I'm there picking it up. He tells me I'm not on the account manager setting and to call customer service (even though he's an employee for Verizon and should be able to help me on the spot) though on the website it said I was, I told him I'll call my mother to put me on it through the app since I guess their website and Apps aren't linked. He returns to the back once more. After 5 minutes I got it linked on the app but he was no where to be found. He then proceeded to come out of the back, and sits down at the back counter with one of his employees and a lady that was already being helped by an employee. I stood for another 15 minutes until finally a nice employee came to check on me and helped me finish my reason for being at this terrible location. Besides that one employee who had a great demeanor, attitude, and was nice, everyone else had this depressing attitude and obviously none of them wanted to be there. read more

We waited for 1.5 hours before our name was called- we had already left the store by then. No one seems to care one bit- one employee said sorry we are understaffed- hire more people then. I brought 4 lines from T-Mobile last year (Nov 2024). Today on Nov 28 2025, I went to the store to upgrade one of the lines. I asked about the upgrade fee charges and the representative Elijah and his supervisor meted out a rough treatment to me. They behaved as if they don't represent Verizon and that I should feel free to take my business elsewhere. The district management should really take notice of the customer feedback. This store needs better employee training on how to work with customers. Evan Rodriguez who helped me last year was so pleasant and nice to work with. I have been a Verizon customer for at least ten years. My iphone 11 stopped working because of a SIM problem. I tried every solution to remedy the situation to no avail. I called their support and they told to take it into the nearest Verizon, which was on Iron Point, Folsom, CA. James, the customer respresentive, waited on me. I asked him for a new SIM card and he told I needed a new iphone because my phone was 6 versions old and they're constantly upgrading their software. He was very unfriendly. He got snarky with me when I asked why my bill went up from $110 to $152, when I had a so called free trade in of my old phone. He said, "That's Verizon's new plan! You have the old plan!" He connected the new and old phone somewhat! Placed the two phones together and said, "Keep your old phone next to your new phone to finish connecting. You're good to go!" Didn't say goodbye! I'm home now and my old phone and my new phone don't work! What happened to good customer service! Go elsewhere! read more

I was going on vacation and needed a cell phone portable power charger. I procrastinated and then forget to buy one. Bu the time I remembered, I was in a time crunch. I needed to buy one ASAP. I hate paying full retail for items. But for this particular item, I needed something reliable. I did some online research for price comparisons and checked out my local Verizon store's inventory. The inventory they had had good review ratings. Plus the prices were competitive. They had items in stock, so off I go. The staff were wearing masks even though at this particular date of time, they weren't required by the County. They were taking extra safety precautions, which I appreciated. Plus they had partitioned plexiglass at the tables. Anyway, when I stepped into the store, I was greeted quickly and assisted. I cut to the chase with the associate with what I needed. He provided me with several options in different price ranges. He explained the features and the differences between each portable charger. He provided his recommendation which happened to be the lowest priced. He didn't push any other products. He rung me up and I was out the door. Wonderful. 3 months later. Disappointed in my experience there. I was approached by the so-called "manager" when I walked in and was looked up and down by him. His tone was very rude and I asked him my questions. Waited for over an hour for them to come and tell me there were no trade-in deals on my phone. The manager kept looking over and whispering to employees. I witnessed him be rude to pretty much every customer who walked in. The same day I made the trip to Roseville Verizon and had a wonderful experience. I had to share my experience with this particular Verizon location after visiting the store today. Though I had to wait a short bit to be seen, the wait was well worth it. Brandon, who was at the front desk, happily and courteously greeted each and every person that walked through the door. He immediately inquired as to the reason for each guest's visit, and quickly and efficiently got each logged in. In-between greeting guests and logging them in, he helped a couple of folks with some more simple issues, and received "hand bumps" from each, which told me they were very happy. One stated that Brandon had been very helpful and noted that he had explained the issue to them very clearly. In addition to Brandon, I worked with James, who was equally helpful and courteous. I have to honestly say that this was one of the most enjoyable customer service experiences I have ever had, and for what it's worth, would enthusiastically hire both of these guys in a heartbeat if I owned a business that was looking for over-the-top customer service staff! read more

Just left an appointment I had to pick up a device. Edward helped me. He was awesome. Very patient and helped me with all my options. He explained everything in detail and didn't make me feel pressure or rushed. Things are a bit more challenging because of the precautions due to covid but that didn't affect my overall experience in store. Edward went above and beyond what he had to make me feel comfortable with my purchase and make the best decisions for my phone and plan. I'm very grateful. I went in for a new phone and received wonderful service from Mario. Although I was just looking for a phone I walked out of the store with my arms loaded with goodies. Normally I would be irritated at upsells, but Mario actually listened to me and asked questions that guided him to suggest things to make my life easier. The next day I had to come back because my new iPad wasn't charging (user error) and I was helped by Julian. Julian managed to answer all my questions without making me feel like an idiot. This would be a very different review if not for one customer service rep "Jake". When we arrived to have my son's phone checked to see why it was not charging. The first person who assisted us could not be more disinterested in helping us. He gave us the advice to contact our insurance and for a $99 deductible we can have the phone repaired. That's when Jake stepped in and saved the day! He went out of his way to assist us, checked the phone port and made suggestions on how we could get it service free of charge. His level of customer care went above and beyond. If we would have just been helped by Jake this would definitely be a five star review but we are taking a star off due to the employee who brushed us off in the beginning. Thanks Jake! read more

First it took FOREVER to get the switch overdone. We were there for two hours. After all that we signed up and both my wife and I made it clear what our new phone plan was and how much it was going to be. We get the first bill and it was $20.00 more, so I called in to fix it. Then the next month's bill came and it was correct. Now my third bill increased by $10 for no reason. It's more than we were promised in the store. Second, we were supposed to get a rebate which they said would be taken off our bill. Then we were told it would be a gift card, which was fine. now after 3.5 months, I called because we didn't get it and they said we didn't sign up for the rebate - WTF. Nobody ever told us to do anything. Verizon has been a complete disappointment so far....should have stuck with ATT. read more

Don't stand in line one hour before the Iron Point store opens to get the new IPhone because the manager will hold one for someone else further down the line!! I was actually in the process of buying one and then was told they were out of them....only to find out the person that showed up later than me purchased it! The manager went down the line asking me what they wanted and told them she would check for them. I was looking at the covers so I wasn't standing around and she didn't ask me! Then, I called the district manager and still haven't received a call back 3 days later. Don't go to this Verizon store. The management is not ethical at all.
