This would be a very different review if not for one customer service rep "Jake". When we arrived to have my son's phone checked to see why it was not charging. The first person who assisted us could not be more disinterested in helping us. He gave us the advice to contact our insurance and for a $99 deductible we can have the phone repaired. That's when Jake stepped in and saved the day! He went out of his way to assist us, checked the phone port and made suggestions on how we could get it service free of charge. His level of customer care went above and beyond. If we would have just been helped by Jake this would definitely be a five star review but we are taking a star off due to the employee who brushed us off in the beginning. Thanks Jake! read more

First it took FOREVER to get the switch overdone. We were there for two hours. After all that we signed up and both my wife and I made it clear what our new phone plan was and how much it was going to be. We get the first bill and it was $20.00 more, so I called in to fix it. Then the next month's bill came and it was correct. Now my third bill increased by $10 for no reason. It's more than we were promised in the store. Second, we were supposed to get a rebate which they said would be taken off our bill. Then we were told it would be a gift card, which was fine. now after 3.5 months, I called because we didn't get it and they said we didn't sign up for the rebate - WTF. Nobody ever told us to do anything. Verizon has been a complete disappointment so far....should have stuck with ATT. read more

Extremely disappointed. Here is why: 1- Wait time to speak with an associate was far longer than the "Solutions Manager" quoted. We waited for almost 45 minutes. 2- We visited to upgrade two phones, one was a Christmas gift for our daughter. We made this very clear to the associate. He gave us prices and options and we went to lunch to make a decision. 3- We returned to the store to make the purchase. The same associate was with a customer. Again the time we were quoted was inaccurate and we waited approximately another 30 minutes to speak with him. 4- I specifically asked "Will our daughter receive any notifications on her phone that we are upgrading it? This is a Christmas surprise." The associate answered no. He then followed up by saying "Well she shouldn't." We purchased two phones for $650 each plus all the fees associated with upgrading. 5- less than one minute later we received a text from our daughter with a screenshot of a text message from guess who, Verizon Wireless! It stated "Thank you for shopping at Verizon Wireless" and contained a link to our receipt for purchase. 6- Our Christmas surprise for our daughter is now ruined despite my request for her to not receive any notifications. 7- I returned to the store to notify your "Solutions Manager" about what happened. His approach to providing any sort of solution was disappointing to say the least. When I explained what had happened he replied "Oh wow, that shouldn't have happened. We will have to let out I.T. department know. It's nobody's fault really, it's just a system error." 8- No form of apology was offered. No solution was provided from the "Solutions Manager". The manager did not even ask for my information to notify your IT department of the issue; so I am quite confident this didn't happen either. As a retail manager myself, I can confidently say this Manager did not care about my situation or do anything to make the situation better for a disappointed customer of over 15 years who just spent another $1,500 with your company. The conclusion I can draw from this is the following: Your store was too busy to help the customers that came in. This was clear by the long and inaccurate times quoted. Your employees are either untrained or lazy. He didn't bother to check or ask if the notification would be sent. Your manager doesn't care if your customers leave satisfied or not. When they do leave unhappy the "Solution" is make an excuse, not own the incident, not apologize for ruining Christmas for a kid, and to go about business as usual. Extremely disappointed. Don't stand in line one hour before the Iron Point store opens to get the new IPhone because the manager will hold one for someone else further down the line!! I was actually in the process of buying one and then was told they were out of them....only to find out the person that showed up later than me purchased it! The manager went down the line asking me what they wanted and told them she would check for them. I was looking at the covers so I wasn't standing around and she didn't ask me! Then, I called the district manager and still haven't received a call back 3 days later. Don't go to this Verizon store. The management is not ethical at all. Horrible service. They offered a mask, I decline. The website states for this location if your Vaccinated you don't need a mask. So I said no thanks, and he got snippy with me. And told me I had to wear one or I could wait outside, which was fine and I did. He came out after speaking to the manager and told me they were unable to assist me, and my request to verify my identity for my discount wasn't even possible. Gwen did an excellent job in fixing my replacement phone. It only took her 30 minutes. The location is very clean & personable. They have a pay station at this location too. The first replacement phone, I spent over 12 hours! Verizon in Roseville, sent to Apple @ Galleria Mall. Was there for almost 4 hours! My name wasn't put on the list & had to wait an additional 1 1/2 hours. Problem wasn't resolved & had to return the first replacement phone. I'm a happy girl now. read more

I called Verizon customer service and they can't reach you either. I ordered an iPhone for in store pick up and decided to buy it from apple using the upgrade plan instead. I was told by your store that I do not need to cancel it and that it would get automatically returned and refunded. That was July 18th, and I am STILL being charged monthly payments for this device, which I never picked up, on top of what I am paying to apple, for the device I purchased directly from them. Zero help or customer service. I needed to exchange my phone and called corporate office and asked what to do. They told me to make an appointment at a brick and mortar and go in to a local store. I called local store and was unable to get anyone to answer. After going online and making an appointment I showed up in a mask as advised. When I got to the store an employee greeted me outside and immediately told me she doesn't know why I would have came there for an exchange. I explained my situation she went inside and said her manager said no they can not help me. After trying to plead with her for help she continued to blame her manager, and had zero interest in trying to help and told me to call the corporate office. I went in to simply reconnect service for an iPad for my business account. Jake was the rep helping me and he and store manager, Jameson, said that they could upgrade my business plan to unlimited data "at no cost." I said "that sounds too good to be true. You're telling me my monthly bill will not go up a penny?!" They assured me it wouldn't. So of course I said sign me up! They said all my company's devices would not have service during the transition until 5pm later that day. Cool, no problem... or so I thought. My company's iPads did not have service into the following day. This costed my company money as we needed a working iPad for a job we had at 7pm the night before. I go into the store the next morning to complain and I'm met by another store manager and he feeds me some BS that it's a "system wide issue" that will be resolved by noon that day and that Jameson would call to confirm when they are turned back on. Fast forward to noon that day and all iPad's cellular service still not working. They continued to not work through the weekend which caused a huge nightmare of logistical issues for my company that relies on these iPads having service. Oh and never received a call or follow up from Jameson. For days this went on and several wasted hours of talking with Verizon customer service who was no help. They promised a few hundred dollars of credit to my account for the issue and still to this day haven't seen those in my account. Mind you, this was back in early March of this year. I return to the store when my schedule allowed a couple weeks later to find Jake, who originally promised unlimited data upgrade for no cost. Oh, and prior to going in, in looking at my online account, it still showed that my account was still under the original plan.... nothing saying that I was on unlimited data like I was led to believe! I explain the situation and my frustrations to Jake and he disappears to back of store to speak with Jameson who never showed his face. They end up finally getting all devices to work and Jake assured me "it's all been fixed". I then asked to re-assure the fact that this would not incur any additional costs to my monthly bill like they had promised. Jake confidently assured me my bill would not change. Additionally, Jameson called and emailed to apologize for all the inconveniences and said a credit of $400 would be applied to our account. Well, you probably know what's coming next; my monthly bill is now $100+ more than what it was before and I have yet to see any $400 credit. I've emailed and called Jameson at least a dozen times in the past 2 months to see what's going on and..... no reply.. radio silence. I finally had the opportunity to go into the store today and there was my good buddy Jake! He wasn't thrilled to see me as he had no excuse for why my bill is $100+ more than what it was before all this mess. I even said, "did I hear you wrong or misunderstand when you said my bill would not change?" And he said "No". All he said he could do was he would pass it on to management and they would call me. He said he's not sure when they will call though. I'm not holding my breath because they told me that before; probably to just get me out of their hair. I would strongly advise anyone needing competent Verizon service to NOT go to this store. read more

The absolute worst service I have ever experienced! I went in with my mom at 6:30pm to purchase her a new iPhone. As we are in the middle of a transaction, I step out to take a call, as I try to come back in the door is locked (6:59)! My mom is still in there along with several other customers , so I knock on the door expecting them to open, but the manager, Nathan, stares at me and starts making hand signals. I wait until a customer leaves the manager opens the door for them and I ask why aren't you letting me in? He exclaims that our policy is no one can come in once the doors are locked!!! I reply: my mom is in there and we aren't finished with our business. At this point my mother comes out, wondering what is going on with me, the manager jumps in the doorway to block her path too! We ask him what is his problem, he claims it's the store policy and we should make an appointment for tomorrow! My moms Christmas present was ruined by this obnoxious behavior! I have 13 lines with Verizon being loyal for 15 years and was going to add 2 more lines for my boys. I also have footage of the encounter , which I will be posting online immediately. All my friends and family will not be going to this location. I hope corporate is aware of this store and it embarrassing Verizon's reputation! In addition we had to drive to a different location, to take the phone out of the box ( which we didn't even get to in the first store!!) just to learn they hadn't even activated it, as it was under pending! They had to call corporate and finish their job. Even the other store said they probably just wanted the sale. I have been a Verizon business customer over 15+ years with multiple lines. I usually get better pricing and promotional discounts through the Verizon Wireless Enterprise business online channel than their retail stores. Accordingly, I recently ordered an iPhone X Max online and after receiving it and before activating the phone, I realized that the gold color was not what I ordered. I called this nearby Verizon retail store in Folsom for swapping the new phone. I spoke to someone name Umar and asked him if it would be possible to swap the new phone with a silver color phone. Umar assured me that swapping the gold iphone will not affect the price I paid online nor will it affect my business plan. He invited me to the store for an exchange. Accordingly, I showed up with the new phone and brought the receipt. The manager then told me that Umar mis-represented the terms of the exchange. He said that the discount I received from the Verizon business channel would fall off if they swapped the phone with a different color. I was upset by the misinformation conveyed and the lack of manager's ability to resolve the issue. I asked the manager to provide his manager's contact information so that I can advance my complaint. He refused. Then the employee Umar showed up and in an aggressive manner, repeated the same. I wasted my time and effort visiting this store based on misinformation of a poorly trained employee. Further, the inability of the manager to resolve the issue was even more confounding. Subsequently, I left the store, went to another Verizon store and had no problem swapping the new phone without losing the discounted price paid for the phone. Historically, the Folsom store had inconsistent customer service issues. The customer service or adequacy of their staff training is not their top priority. Therefore, I would advise consumers to consider other options before stepping into this store. Employee like Umar will give misinformation over the phone and the manager will do nothing to address the issue. In the end, the visit to the store would be a colossal waste of time. They will not accept responsibility for their incompetence nor will they compensate you, even with an apology, for your time. read more

These separate, franchise stores are just larger versions of the annoying kiosks you see at malls. The information I've received is always incorrect and/or inconsistent with what they tell me when i call Verizon. It's such a convenient location, right next to Target. I do not usually review places however after the many times I have received the most horrible service at this location I feel as if I must. Upon arriving to the store, I was not sure if they could be of assistance, I promptly informed the gentleman of the issue I was having with my phone, since I have waited for a very long time previously at this location I was trying to avoid the same scenario, he said that he 'may' be able to help so I waited and he took my phone, one hour and 15 minutes later I was still waiting in the lobby, I asked how much longer it would take and I was told not sure, that sometimes it could be quick and sometimes long, 20 minutes later I asked again, the gentleman that I asked was very rude and said ' well I can just give the phone back to you as is' I agreed that I did not wish to wait any longer and he gave the phone back, saying the work was already completed, so I have no idea how long it had been since it was ready. This IS a corporate store. Had a very good experience upgrading iOS phones with Graylan who was super competent and had us upgraded smoothly and very quickly. Later had an excellent experience with Kendrick who quoted me a great deal on LTR home internet and when things didn't show up right on the order he stuck to the original quote and got things worked out. Fantastic determination and commitment from the folks here! As always, depends who you get* but there are definitely competent, courteous people here. *Tried to upgrade another phone a different time and was greeted by super slick, pushy sales guy who tried to convince us to get a different color when they didn't have the right color in stock; he wasn't pleased when we decided to just buy online.. read more

I came in to activate my new iPad and was greeted by a friendly representative right at the door. I was helped by Kendrick who was very knowledgable and helpful. I got my iPad activated very quickly and without a problem. I had a couple questions and he was friendly and well informed with his answers. I came in on my lunch hour and had no problem getting in and out promptly. Kendrick was a great help, friendly, and knew his stuff. Highly recommended Verizon store. They might be busy and could use another floor representative but great customer service and experience overall. Only reason I am rating a 4 is because I was told the device activation was 10 dollars extra per month and it ended up being 17 dollars extra. On Monday, June 27, 2022, I went to Verizon store on Iron Point Rd. in Folsom to have my line added to an existing line. I was greeted by Cindy Chen and shortly after she found out that I wasn't there to purchase a new line, she made few attempts but tried to brush me off and basically asked me to call corporate to remove a pending order on the account because she didn't want to do that which I then did. Today, July 1, 2022, I went to the store and when I came in, Lexie was servicing another customer, there was another salesperson occupied with another customer and 1 customer was walking around the store. No one else was in the store. I waited 15 minutes until Cindy Chen, manager, arrived and she knew right away what I wanted and said I should wait because there is another customer ahead of me, and I did. She then went to the back and didn't come out anymore and in the meantime, she had informed Jarred about me and my needs because Jarred came out, ignored me completely and started doing something useless with displays cell phone. He then went to the back and came out again and did the same thing few times. By them another customer had arrived, and Cindy came out checked in the new customer and went to the back again. By this time, I had been waiting for 50 minutes, and no other customer was ahead of me. Jarred would come out on and off, play with the display phone and this time he shouted "we are paid hourly" and walked to the back. Few minutes later few other customers walked in and Jarred came out to check them in. I informed him that I was 1. in line, then the lady who came after me and then the two gentlemen. He rudely said: "thank you for the update but I don't need it". I kept waiting and Cindy and Jarred were not willing to help me and I waited for 1 hour and half until Lexie helped me. Finally, Lexie finished her customer, went to the back Cindy had informed her all the details and Lexie came out and helped me with most wonderful service because her focus was the customer. She did a great job and was able to take care of what I needed. I asked Lexie for Jarred's name and I already had Cindy's and informed Lexie that I will file a formal complaint about rude, incompetent and low etiquette of Cindy and Jarred's behavior and their useless customer service and I hope Verizon corporate can do something and remove Cindy and Jarred because they are rude, low class and discussing and dealing with people like them is awful. I would not recommend anyone going to this store and deal with Cindy and Jarred if you expect normal customer service, unless you are ok dealing with trashy service. I was at the store almost 2 hours and with Lexie's help I was able to get what I needed. read more

I had a specific question regarding the fine Galaxy phone that I purchased here and received some of the worst customer service that I have experienced yet again. Whatever you do, do not go to this Verizon location. We switched over from ATT due to poor phone coverage. The Verizon coverage is much better, so that is good. But this store completely bungled the switch over. I have been on the phone with Verizon for 8 hours so far trying to get our account switched over to the plan that we thought we signed up for. The people in the store some how mis-classified our account, so we can't get the benefits of the plan we signed up for until we wait 30 days to be re-categorized. I called the store to see if they could help and they made it worse, making me have to call Verizon to start the whole process over. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I purchased a phone from MICHAEL at the Roseville store. After the purchase he did not want to help me transfer my contacts and said it was easy to do myself. It wasn't so the next day I went to Folsom and ALEX was amazing, he spent so much time helping me. I had another issue and went back the next day, greeted by Celsea who was so friendly. The manager AMANDA was so helpful and friendly, she sets the atmosphere for a wonderful customer experience. NATHAN is the best, after being there 3 times in one week, he greeted me with a big smile and laughingly said back again? And immediately helped me. Came in to get an upgrade on 1 of our 3 lines. We got our other 2 lines upgraded at Sam's club because they had a special. That took maybe 20 minutes. Drive down to Verizon and it's been 40 minutes just waiting for someone to help us. Waiting still continue. There are 3 employees in total. 2 of the 3 are very busy helping customers. From my observation doing a great job. The 3rd employee is completely useless. Walking around checking people in and not actually helping customers. I don't see his purpose..why not train him to do another task to help elevate the wait. read more

If it wasn't for Andrew I would still be without a phone! My phone died on Saturday. Went in on Sunday to talk about seeing if my phone could be saved. I was lucky to have been paired up with Andrew who may be new with the company, but amazing! After a million roadblocks, Andrew made it happen! Verizon has changed, and not in a good way! We have been a customers of Verizon for over 10 years with somewhere between 3 and 4 cell phones and a tablet on our family plan, at any given time. I have no complaints about the store staff, they know their stuff and run the operation pretty efficiently. My problem is that the cell signal has dropped dramatically and I cannot make or receive calls at my home office for the past month or so. I am dropping calls with regularity on Greenback Lane between Folsom Auburn Rd and into Orangevale. Sometimes I call back 3 times in 2 miles trying to stay connected. Very frustrating when your business depends on being able to communicate with clients. When I inquired about what the problem was, they told me there had been no changes to signal strength and that I could buy a "signal booster" for $250 (for my office at home), if I felt it was needed!! The signal strength at home was never great and we had to go to a certain portions of the house to make or receive calls dependably. Now it is impossible to make or receive calls anywhere in the house day or night. Before you sign up, be sure to check the signal strength in the most important areas for you! read more

I stopped by the Folsom location, on Iron Point Road, and spoke with Alex. What a wonderful, helpful person.
