    "Excellent " condition open-box item

    "Excellent" quality open-box. I received this. BestBuy said I would have to go to a store to fix the issue. I than explained I would keep the receiver if the price was adjusted based on condition, they weren't accommodating. Started a chat online, was told I would receive an email on how to proceed. Never received email. Unit overheats and shuts off within minutes. Fix this.

    This review is dedicated to Matt who was working in the TV and home entertainment section when we were in yesterday. We stopped by to drop a computer with Geek Squad and I had been playing with the idea of upgrading our living room TV. We were looking for something OLED but also wanted something that could help us cast sound or give us quality blue tooth speakers to better optimize the audio all the way back in our kitchen. I told Matt the budget I was trying to stay within and he spent a good half hour explaining the different OLED and QLED options with us. Talking us through manufacturer differences, technology differences, the best sound systems to connect to said TVs, etc. the entire time, he NEVER pushed us to buy something. He gave me unbiased, quality information, and between the two I had narrowed it down to, he actually pointed us to the more affordable one, saying he felt the quality was better and the current sale would be a more cost effective way to go. He also gave us a run down of the Sonos sound bar systems and gave us a ton of good information we didn't already have. I have no clue if Best Buy employees in these sections work on a commission at all, but when I told Matt that he gave me a lot of good stuff to think about, he didn't hesitate at all to let us walk away. Just shook our hands, thanked us for coming in, and let us know we could let him know if we had any further questions. I had no real thought of green lighting a tv purchase that day because I am someone who really wants to dive in and do my research. After going home and researching additional stuff for about twenty minutes, I placed an order for the tv online. Pickup was ready within half an hour, I shot over there and grabbed it along with a Sonos sound bar that he recommended. Picked up some Phillip's Hue lights and called it a day. If it hadn't been for Matt's professionalism, wealth of knowledge, and total no BS, helpful attitude, I wouldn't have gotten the TV that day. Instead, we now have a brand new LG OLED decked out TV that we spent the afternoon installing and it looks AMAZING. Huge props to Matt. Somebody give this man a raise or a promotion. Or let him teach a workshop to other employees on how to be the best sales advocate you can be. Great experience overall. Would absolutely recommend if you're looking for a new TV. And ask for Matt!

    I am sure sometimes we will need things immediately, if it is an electronic device, a cable, a keyboard, or a mouse. At least we have a local store we can get it. Best Buy is perfect when it happens. They don't have the best price. But they are more convenient. Also, you can feel and touch the product before you bring it home. The store doesn't look as good as in the old days when Best Buy first opened in California. It seems a little disorganized, but not as bad as Fly's Electronics before it closed the business. I hope Best Buy will survive. I hate to see I have to get everything online!

After I purchased the item, the order confirmation showed "pick up in store". How is that possible when I put in my home address for delivery, paid for delivery, installation and haul away of old item. Tried calling several times and could not reach anyone at the Folsom store. Finally called the 888 number for customer service. When I explained what happened, I was instructed to "in the future" to cancel the order and place it again and stating to deliver to my home. This is what I did in the first place! Then I was instructed to call back to schedule to have it installed. I informed them I would NOT be purchasing from Lowes in the future, but will go to Home Depot instead, since this has never been an issue with HD. The lack of customer service or support of what should have been a simple transaction to include allowing me to pick a date upon when it can be delivered. Very disappointed and buyer beware if you plan to try and purchase online for delivery!

It took about less than a week to get it back, but they said it had a faulty NVME so I needed to pay nearly $300 for a replacement. They also verbally said Windows couldn't load but the paper they gave back clearly stated it did boot. But by the time I took it home, I tested it out myself. I inserted the "so called faulty NVME" and my laptop DID boot up. I thought I still had a battery issue because it would only boot up while it was charging. I then saw they disconnected the thin wire to the battery which directed current from the power supply. They never plugged it back in. After finding that out, I did my own diagnostics and couldn't see any issues with my NVME. I used the Windows Powershell terminal to check on the NVME's health and there were no issues what so ever. I went back to ask what exactly the issue was and what actually got my laptop to turn on, because clearly it wasn't the NVME. The man got mad and wanted me to take down any review with the return of the $100, but I refused. I will never know what they did to get my laptop to turn on again, but I do know they scammed me into believing my OS couldn't boot and I needed their NVME replacement for $300... Usually NVMEs fail early on when getting a new laptop (infant mortality rate of 3-6 months) and I've had this laptop for many years now. NVMEs don't even have anything to do with the battery so this tipped me off. They used simple NVME health tools which I replicated (they mentioned CrystalDiskInfo) and saw NOTHING wrong. They either don't know what they're doing/talking about or they're intentionally scamming. Get your laptop issues fixed else where and save your money. They are not transparent and will create issues rather than fix it. Glad they turned on my laptop at least. That's all I needed. Do your own research as well and understand what EXACTLY they're telling you.
