Fast forward 14 months later and the guy I putted my address incorrectly - didn't get my email for the account and now Verizon shows up on my three credit reports saying I owe $195 - for an account I used less than 24 hours and already paid for. To make matters worse I've twice Called the store and they are too busy to talk and don't return my calls. Turnover is high nobody I first spoke to is there to help me. Read all the fine print and try to get the person helping you to listen.

The photos were supposed to be held in the cloud in storage but were not. So Alex sent my phone out to another service, there was no communication for months thereafter, so when I called to see what the progress was with my phone and the photos being retrieved, Alex told me that the second service could not access anything in the phone and sent the phone out for recycling without asking me if I wanted it back. If they had asked me, I would have asked for my phone back and gone for yet another opinion before eliminating my phone or turning it over to some stranger, and not knowing if what was said was true. Very disappointed.

I did not go back to the store for three weeks because i was out of town for the Christmas holiday, but when I did go bakc to explain, I was told that there was nothing they could do about the non-functional accessories because it was outside the two week window from the purchase date. Very poor customer service overall, although the person I was working with very apologetic and I know that he was just the messenger. The person who did initally help me heard the entire exchange, but did not come over to help or apologize but rather just sat at his table having a snack. I will certainly not purchase there again.

This experience felt misleading and pressured. I recommend others be cautious and insist on exact prices upfront.

What I must pout out is that John makes it look easy. He makes you feel welcome, and you do get the feeling that he wants to help. His tone is patient and professional. But it's our good fortune to have the multi-generation owned Cos Cob TV & Audio that has been meeting this standard in our area even before my first happy experience with them 30-years ago. The store has expanded from its initial analog TV repair to major home TV theater, security systems and other large smart home projects. They also bring all this to the small residential projects like mine, which is also rare. When I first moved to Cos Cob, the original owner recommended an analog SONY Trinitron VEGA TV whose picture tube still works, but digital has passed it by. I've since bought two smart TVs from them, the latest needing a complex wall installation requiring cable concealment. From setting up the initial site inspection with Joe at the store, to Conner's perfect installation, which is separately charged, they are great to work with. I also wanted to redesign my "too little work space" 4' x 2' home office desk and install Ergotron arms for my computer displays. Their other tech, Jason, expertly took on the home office project, drilling the needed desk grommets, installing the Ergotrons and concealing the cables, giving me needed room to work.
