Chase, the Retail Associate, quickly asked me what my need was and listened patiently as I explained to him that I was not happy with my current AT&T plan and wanted to make changes. What transpired next is what I call the epitome of a perfect customer experience. Chase patiently explained my options, showed me exactly what they looked like from a financial standpoint, and then showed me the products (phone, watch, etc.) that could meet my needs. By the time it was all done, I was set up with a much better plan, had an upgraded phone, and a new Apple watch, and had a much better understanding of what to expect from my bill than I ever had to leave a phone set up before. I think the best part was the ease at which the young man went about doing his job. He was very easy to talk to, did not try to oversell me on a bunch of things I did not need (which sold me on shopping around the store! ), and was just very pleasant with all the customers. Chase not only made a huge impression on me, but he greatly improved my opinion of AT&T in the market (Southern/North Carolina). That young man has success in his future. After the repair, I noticed they did not install an authentic Apple screen. Instead, they used a cheap aftermarket screen that did not even include the MacBook logo branding that normally appears on startup. Only a few months later, the replacement screen completely failed. In November 2025, the computer suddenly shut off and the screen went black despite the laptop not being dropped, damaged, or mishandled in any way. It had mostly been sitting untouched. When I contacted the store, instead of taking responsibility or offering a reasonable solution, I was told that "MacBook cases can sometimes cause screen damage," which makes absolutely no sense considering the circumstances. For the amount of money they charge, customers should expect genuine parts, quality repairs, and accountability when something goes wrong. My experience was extremely disappointing, and I feel misled about the quality of the repair I paid for.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the manager stood in the back near the doorway the entire time, watching silently as I was disrespected in front of my daughter. Eventually, the manager did step forward--but not to help. Instead, he doubled down on the rudeness, repeating everything the first employee said with an even more condescending tone. At one point, he even told me not to bother calling the corporate office because "they wouldn't do anything either." That level of arrogance and complete disregard for accountability was absolutely unacceptable. I came in ready to not only resolve the battery issue but to purchase another for a new key. I was willing to continue doing business here despite the inconvenience--but after how I was treated, I wouldn't spend another dime with this company. As a long-time customer, I was shocked at the blatant disrespect, lack of professionalism, and refusal to take responsibility. It's clear customer loyalty means nothing here. I will be taking my business elsewhere, and I won't hesitate to share this experience so others are aware of the way customers are treated.
