This Verizon store is a giant waste of time and money. The sales rep scammed me on their Verizon "Hum" application for my car. " Hum" is a total joke and a complete waste of money. Trying to cancel the Verizon "Hum" service is an absolute nightmare. I had it in my car for about an hour and realized that the device is not working and completely worthless. Trying to return it was a horrible experience. Even though I only had the device in my car for an hour... Verizon said i had to pay an early termination fee and activation fee taxes... Administration charges ... Etc.. Etc.. Etc... What a total rip off! This is a scam Verizon is notorious for their hidden costs and charges they never tell you about until its too late. Beware, one of their employees put my phone in someone's box after that person purchased. I was tearing up my bag looking for it. I keep ringing it and Ring it knowing I didn't leave it anywhere was only in the store in line. I went back the next day to see if they found it and they wouldn't bother to give any help. I keep ringing it and In the evening a guy picked up and said he had it, he heard his box ringing. Met the guy and he gave me my phone showed me the box from his new phone where they had put my my phone. I went to the store to let them know what had happened and they didn't even care and were rude to me, I asked them to help me get to the bottom of this by contacting corporate to look at the cameras, they only wanted to argue and say that never happens at there store, no caring at all that such a thing happened to one of there customers. The stress that it caused you would think they might even apologize show empathy something happened at their store to one of their customers. I said don't you care about your store or your customers and that rude manager said there was nothing he can do. I would never go to that store and will report him and that store to corporate. I was essentially just robbed by this store. Woke up this morning and thought I had lost my phone so went to Verizon to buy a new one. Was just finishing up with the purchase when I received a call that my original phone had been found. I proceeded to return the new phone, and was only reimbursed $50 of the $300 price for absolutely no reason. General Manager was rude and the associate was new and had absolutely no idea what he was doing. I left furious, spoke to Verizon and found out that they had completely cheated me (ex. charging me a $35 stocking fee which should only be charged after 14 days - I had the new phone for all of 10 minutes and didn't even leave the store!). Verizon stores are always pretty terrible, but this was my worst experience by far. Do everything in your power to avoid this place. read more

Please do not go to this store, I called Verizon and found out that they are NOT a corporate Verizon store! They are a 3rd party private vendor that is licensed to sell Verizon products. They do not answer to all the corporate rules and regulations and that is why they are running a lot of under the table schemes. They do not get reprimanded for all of their fake deals and cons. This is why they are able to continue to run their slimy business without repercussions. I went to this store to upgrade my iPhone and was greeted by the "manager" Sam. He was the slimiest salesperson ever. He lied to me and said that there was a "promotion" going on in the store and that every person that upgraded their phone that weekend would get a free tablet for no charge and activation fee. He also stated that I would be getting 5 accessories with my upgrade. Sounded like a great plan so I agreed. 2 weeks later I realized that he actually charged $200 for those accessories and a $40 activation fee for the tablet. I am also now stuck with a 2 year tablet plan that I can't cancel without a cancellation fee and that I have to pay for monthly when I never even wanted a tablet to begin with. My father has an Ivy League postgraduate education in business but all the employee saw was an older foreign man. I kept hearing him asking my father what language my father speaks .... just wow. I was helped out by an older white lady who seemed relatively new at this store by the way she was uninformed about many of my questions. Being a new employee however was not the issue, being focused on making a commission over customer service was the issue. She was more concerned about making her commission by trying to sell me accessories rather than finding solutions to the questions I had and decided to increase my bill by adding insurance I specifically said that I did NOT want. I'm usually not one to post reviews but I'm annoyed with Verizon's customer service overall as it took about 12 calls in 6 months to receive credits I was told I'd receive in no more than two months. This last action by the Verizon employee is what finally pushed me to speak up about their below par customer service. read more

I recently came in to get a new phone and while I gotta say Verizon as a corporation is a terrible monolith concerned only with sapping as much money as possible out of each individual cog in their macro-financial-mechanism until we die and our surviving relatives are left paying off our last overages bills well after we've died (which happened to my Aunt - but that's another review), I would like to give props to their personnel on the ground - Manager Ricky, Nancy and John, the three folks at this location I worked with. Buying my phone on the Verizon app? Not my style but it was suggested by Ricky that it would save me a little money on activation fees, so John walked me through this process. Quick and painless. Of course the purchase got mysteriously held up somewhere in the theoretical "process" and Verizon the corporation swooped in to deny me access to the phone I had already paid fees and taxes for. Ricky and Nancy did their best to troubleshoot this for me, even letting me step away and window shop at some other shops at Beverly Connection in my down time (and when I returned, I was warmly welcomed back in by a fourth staff member, a burly red-headed gent who was very friendly and accommodating). Ultimately it was recommended I come back another time to get the phone as there was no reliable time table for the purchase being "approved." A couple days later I made a call to Verizon customer service where I was informed the first purchase of the phone would be refunded (in 5-7 days) but the purchase had to be reprocessed and charged again to push it through. There's your Verizon corporate math for you: you pay them twice and receive 0 phones in return. A few hours later I came back to this store to pick up my phone, Nancy and Ricky recognized me (even though we were all shadowed by secretive COVID masks), ushered me in, and helped complete my purchase. Ricky even gave me a deal on the otterbox I wanted to buy as well. Of course in classic Verizon fashion, he couldn't give me a discount, but I will get a bill credit on my next billing cycle. TL;DR: Verizon, you are a trash corporation that doesn't care at all about anything besides money and it shows, but since you are so good at screwing, twisting, pounding and squeegeeing every possible dollar out of customers who have no other choice, why don't you turn some of that money around and give well-deserved raises to your Beverly Connection staff, especially Ricky, John, Nancy and the unnamed burly friendly gent. These are good employees who treat customers politely and pleasantly and I give them credit for the excellent air-conditioned coolness of the store as well. read more

The story: I was uber riding to a cellphone store to upgrade my phone. He said: "why aren't you going to the Verizon a Beverly center? It's super close and all my family members go there. You'll be in and out easy." Me: "Sure. Let's try Beverly" And he was 100% right. I have never had such a refreshing professional and thoughtful service for cell phones. Sash, the rep, made sure I understood all my options and charges. And he was super patient with stupid questions. He ever hooked me up with a hotspot for all the upgrading. I had a TERRIBLE experience today at this verizon location. The security guard was lovely, but it was ALL downhill from there. First, I was informed it would be a twenty minute wait, but I ended up waiting an hour. Then, the young man who assisted me, I believe his name was Garrit, could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure... was AWFUL. Great experience. Best customer service of any phone store I've been to. Armaund went out of his way to help me and covered all the bases so it would be a hassle-free experience on my end. When I had trouble locating my At&t account number, he got it sorted. As we finished everything, he called me to confirm that my phone worked. Walked out happy with a working phone. It seemed like everyone else at the store was also being helped by an equally engaged and attentive employee. Writing that with a little shock and awe because none of my previous experiences have resembled anything remotely like that...the Hollywood location didn't even acknowledge my existence and then seemed incapable of actually providing help. Lost my phone about two months ago and naively assumed that, aside from the paying for a new iPhone, it wouldn't be a problem to replace. Had no idea the frustrating and exhausting experience it would be. Ended up going from Verizon to At&t and back to Verizon. By the time I came into Verizon's Beverly location, I had been to one verizon reseller, 3 At&t's stores, and made numerous calls (so so many calls) to both services' customer support. This store far exceeded any of my other experiences. read more

Usually the process of getting a new phone is long, arduous, tedious etc. A visit to the dentists office. Devin changed all that. He walked me through my options calmly and patiently, and was overall just a great person to be around. His demeanor was what I'd want anyone I obtain a phone from to behave like, legit a model employee. I hope this store recognizes his personality and that other people appreciate him the way I did because it is a true rarity to get someone that knowledgeable and also emotionally intelligent. I walked out of there with a new iPhone and phone case (which Devin helped me with also) and felt good about my experience. I would say the check in aspect of this store is a little off putting, but once you're past that the people on the floor also seemed generally nice. I went to this location to buy a gizmo watch for my child. The sales person said there was a promotion on the jet pack (hot spot) which would not cost me any additional money and the kids would love it for their iPads. I thought, sure. I don't need it. I don't necessarily want it, but if it Durant cost anY additional money, why not. Well surprise. My bill for the next month went up $150. I was charged for the jet pack. For an activation fee and it was an additional $20 a month charge. I called Verizon to fix this. Took multiple calls and then I was told I was going to be charged a $150 deactivation fee since it was part of a contract! FRAUD! Be careful here. read more

Very unhappy with my last experience at this Verizon store. The man who helped me (not sure what his name was..Robertson or something) was nice enough, but he had a hard time following requests for a very simple transaction. Asked me to repeat a phone number several times before I decided to input it myself, which is fine, but he seemed spaced out. I'm reasonable.. I don't give out one star for slowness. So why the one star? The sales guy SCREWED UP THIS SIMPLE PURCHASE. I bought the new samsung nexus galaxy, asked for it to applied to my # and that's that, right? NO, he applied the SIM card to a different number on the account, didn't bother checking, it took 20 more min to remedy this, and by applying the new phone to another person's number, he ultimately messed up my family member's SIM card by "retiring" it after he switched it back to my number.. My family member couldn't use their phone all weekend and had to spend hours on the phone with VZN to fix it. The guy at VZN inconvenienced me (fine..not a big deal), but then screwed up another person's phone and didn't even bother checking if he had "retired" another person's SIM by accident. VZN stores, in general, all have poor customer service, but this is just a bit too much idiocy for me to ever come back. read more

I have purchased 3 phones from this crummy place ONLY because AT&T has had such awful coverage and so I felt I had to be with Verizon. Obviously, dealing with the purchase of a cell phone is almost as awful as buying a car. But I was ready. I walked in to BUY an Android Thunderbolt. I was ready to buy it, then and there. The staff person was unhelpful, bored and not at all interested in selling me a phone. The manager could hardly be bothered and when he did come over - after 2 requests to see him, he just shrugged his shoulders. When I said "Look, fellas - I am happy to leave here and just go to AT&T if that's easier" they just said "Okay." Seriously?! I happily walked out and away from the arrogant apathy. Since it looks like AT&T may be gaining terrific coverage, I am more than happy to ditch this place and move on! read more

I was shopping around for new service and a new iPhone. I have had AT&T since I had cell service, which is a very long time. Not about the store, or it's contents. and if it's a great review, then the individual writing the review will normally praise everything they can about the company. I'm writing this review primarily so that other current and future Verizon customers may steer clear of it or know what they are getting into. I have no issues with Verizon I think the service is great; but, I do think they need to seriously re-think this store and management here because it is deeply troubling. Yesterday I came in to purchase an iphone 6 and as I waited for the associate helping me he returned not only with an iphone but with an internet hotspot, a car charger (I had already informed the associate I do not drive and live in New York), an iphone case as well as a home phone device. The associate tried to explain to me how the home phone would essentially "lower my bill" and it was sort of a gift from Verizon since we have been with the company for over 10 years. Never heard of that but okay. I informed him that I did not need it and told him maybe my mother would be interested and if so she could go check it out at a Verizon near her. He assured me that this "deal" could only be available to me at that moment, given that I had just purchased this phone and I had changed our plan yadda yadda yadda. Long story short, I believed him that it would be a great deal especially after the manager came over and further coaxed me. So I'm thinking to myself it must be pretty legit if she is really pushing it as kind of a "no-brainer" deal. They also said they would ship the device to my mother. A couple of hours later my mother said she popped into her local Verizon about an unrelated matter and asked about the home phone and they told her there would be a monthly fee attached and that it wasn't actually making the plan lower; but when he also changed our plan he bundled it in there so it would look like it was. Not sure if I'm making sense but basically, nothing was free about this and he completely confused the hell out of me in order to get me to take this product that I had no idea was even under contract. I wen't back to the store and let my mother speak on the phone to the associate who basically rambled in circles and told her nothing of substance. Oh and to top it all off the associate put insurance on my phone that I never asked for. When I asked him why he did this he never apologized but just assured me that he asked me. This makes 0 sense especially because my last phone did not have it either. This store is confusing and just not right. I don't know why they feel duping their customers will be beneficial for them or the Verizon brand. Other language heard from other customers while I was in the store: "Wait, you are not making sense to me" "Slow down please". And just general confusion. This store is solely money/product driven and I would definitely advise all existing and potential customers to find another Verizon to shop with. read more

Terrible customer service. Went to return a portable charging device I purchased at another Verizon store less than month before which, turns out, is for the Android phone, not the iPhone 5 (which I purchased in conjunction with the device). I was MISLEAD by a employee at a different store that it would plug into my new iPhone. Thomson, the manager, was friendly enough, however he would not allow me to return the device because I had passed the 14 day return policy. Along with the original packaging, I had a receipt. Despite explaining to him and various employees that I was MISLEAD that the device would work for the iPhone.. I was not permitted to return the device After all, I ended up exchanging the device for a different one. However, it look three employees approximately 20 minutes to complete this basic transaction. Meanwhile, Thomson, the manager was bragging to other employees about his weekend plans for Vegas pool parties. I was completely caught off guard by the incompetency and lack professionalism of the employees at the store. I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more

This might be the worst Verizon store in the United States. I walked in and told the greeter what my problem was, that my phone had broken and I had insurance but I wasn't sure what to do about it. She sent me to person #1. I told person #1 the same story. She said nothing and sent me to person #2. Person #2 asked me what the problem was, I told her, then she went to ask person #3 what to do. Person #3 hands me a pamphlet for the insurance company and just says to call the number in there. What friendly service. This store is totally hit or miss. I've been there and received fantastic customer service before. And then there was today. Today's experience was miserable (like most at this location). Some update came through that affected my Droid, I had problems with it, and the guy did nothing more than the factory reset. He was working on his "up-sell" and kept saying that it was because my phone was so old (1 yr) and that I needed to upgrade. And kept saying it. He gave the phone back to me and the update notification came back on the screen. He told me it would probably keep coming up until I upgraded my phone. Yes - he gave the phone to me saying that the "upgrade now" warning was going to continue until I gave up and upgraded. I went home, called Verizon tech support line and THEY gave me the usual fantastic customer service. They worked out the issue on my phone (yes, the update DID work - he was either lying, stupid, or lazy), talked me down about the jackass at the store, filled out a complaint form about the incident, and gave me some fantastic help in little fixes that I'd been having problems with. Unfortunately you have to go in to the store every now and then, but never let these jackasses bully you. Call Verizon and give your feedback. read more

My sister, Marcia, is getting an IPhone 7 plus to replace her badly working Android. The service she is getting from Travis and Randall is above and beyond what was expected. Do NOT go to this location if you want help or to set up a new device. Maybe just go buy accessories. I got a new Apple Watch - wasn't given a number so I could not use the watch. When I switched to Verizon, Verizon ported over my numbers but not my iPad so I was charged for my iPad with AT & T. I am very unhappy with this location. read more

Nice staff, they're doing their job, professional. But doing their job also means trying to get you to pay more. I've been there a few times to check on upgrade possibilities (I'm a Verizon customer for over 10 years) and each time they go back into the office to "check on options". There aren't any for existing customers, only for new ones. They'll try to sell you on some kind of new bundle with a free hotspot or whatever that will actually increase your contract costs for another 24 months. Pass. Source your phone somewhere else if you're an existing customer. There are much better deals in the market. read more

It's amazing what good customer service can do to turn an initial one-star visit into a 5-star experience! Seriously go see Imara and ONLY Imara. He was awesome. So, long story short I was turning in my company Crackberry and decided to join the dark side and go iPhone. Initially I had some issues porting my number back and ensuring an upgrade, but no less than 3 CSRs confirmed that I'd be eligible. Well, lo and behold I get to the store and TEAR the notes aren't sufficient to allow my upgrade. Imara was super patient and immediately got on the phone and escalated the situation up multiple tiers and magically got the phone gods to bestow upon me the mythical iPhone. (Clouds part, angels trumpet, etc.) I left a happy customer (which in the cell phone world seems sadly rare these days) and will be back in a month with the boy to buy his new Android phone. read more

I had to upgrade my phone from a 4s to a 5 that was given to me, only it didn't have a sim card, so I was nervous about how much that would cost. Carlos the manager greeted me and put my name on the list for the next sales rep. I told him what I needed, and he said "no problem, we can put in a new card free of charge! The wait was a little long, but you must realize that you are on a list, no one is going to get in front of you, and the time they are taking with other customers they will give to you as well. Andreas was the representative who helped me, and he was great!! very friendly and knowledgeable. I have been with Verizon since they were Airtouch and have never had an issue with them. read more

Came here to upgrade my phone. FYI!!!! ...if u have multiple lines u ARE ALLOWED to upgrade on another lines upgrade time. Do not listen to these workers....tryin to rip you off. I had to call customer service and put an employee on the phone to give me the upgrade. Made me wait an extra hr just dealing with this.... Jerry the manager was especially rude from the start. He fingered me to wait while he continued to chat w another employee instead of checking me in first.......so infuriating!!! Absolutely horrible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This store is poorly managed and has zero customer service. I walked in and gave my name to the guy just sitting there "takin names." He then just sat there staring at me while I waited about an hour. I just wanted to walk in, buy a phone and walk out. Instead he just stared at me and told me that there were four people who were in line ahead of me. As it turns out, the four people who were in line ahead of me were four individuals who wanted a class on how to use a cell phone. During this excruciating wait, numerous other store employees meandered around the store like zombies responding to my desperate questions for help that I "had to wait in line." I just wanted to buy an iPhone and leave. This was extremely painful. During my wait, I watched the phones go unanswered, I watched the employees hang out and just chat amongst themselves while customers sad staring at the walls and waiting for someone to help. I watched all the employees lounge around and text and Snapchat and scroll through their Instagram feeds. Also while I was waiting a small child pulled down his pants and started urinating on the floor. He was probably two or three years old. The staff watched and laughed and did nothing to stop him. An elderly woman walked in and literally stepped right in the puddle a few minutes later. No one noticed. This place gets a big fat solid zero. Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have four cell phone lines with Verizon and have been a customer for almost a decade.
