All I can say is wow, amazing customer service experience! These guys really went to bat for me, going so far as to keep calling the Verizon customer service hotline 4 times, waiting on hold for me, and dealing with multiple customer service reps just hanging up on them, just to help me get a discount. I've never had such a positive experience in any carrier store before. In fact, I'd go so far as to say I haven't had such positive customer service in a retail store in a long time. Don't remember the names of the people I was being helped by there (I'm terrible with names) but they mentioned that they had recently undergone a management change, and were really trying to up their customer service game. To anyone who had a poor experience there previously, I'd urge you to try again. You won't be disappointed! read more

Date of Visit: 04/15/16 Time: Approximately 11:15 AM I walked over to this Verizon location during my lunch break to check out the Galaxy S7 Edge. I love my old Galaxy Note, but figured I'd switch if the camera took better photos like it claimed to do. A lady salesperson greeted me pretty quickly, so that was nice. However, when I tried to answer her question as to what I was looking for, she didn't bother listening to my answer and cut me off. Me: I heard this model had a better - Sales Lady: Memory, Performance (What I was going to say was camera for low lighting) It's a real put-off when someone in the customer service/sales industry doesn't actually listen to what the customer has to say. She told me the display wasn't a working unit, but could ask her manager if I could try out the camera on his phone since he had that model. It would have felt weird to check out a stranger's phone. I asked the sales lady if other stores had working display models, and she said likely. I let her know I'd just try the one by my home instead. Rather than trying to save the sale, she immediately said "Okay" and walked away. (I didn't personally care, but it wasn't great salesmanship.) Summary: The sales lady was nice enough, just lacking a bit in etiquette. I might have overlooked it had the store carried a working display of the phone I was interested in. According to Yelp, 2 stars = "Meh. I've experienced better.", and that's pretty much how I felt. read more

I went into the Victra location at 8342 LINCOLN BLVD LOS ANGELES California 90045, on 18 May and I won't go back. While "Geo" was helpful by making a call and may have been finally successful in getting my Verizon bill mailed to my home, he was really quite deceitful in many ways. While the iPhone 12 cost was $810, Verizon was offering an exchange special of $579 for my old iPhone and that brought my total down to $231. At that point I was happy. However, during my review of phone options, Geo spontaneously stated four or five times, with no questions or prompting whatsoever from me, that he did not want any surprises and that he wanted to be very forthcoming with all cost matters. I told him I appreciated that and before I purchased an iPhone 12, he even sketched out the payments that would be made per the Verizon contract --and also how it would take Verizon 3 to 4 months to credit back the payments (!) I would be initially making --which, by the way, makes no sense whatsoever. As the sale closed --and AFTER all data from my old phone had been transferred to the new one and while I was reviewing the sale invoice, low and behold, there were FOUR SURPRISES that Geo failed to mention despite his rhetoric about being "forthcoming:" 1) That I would be paying CA Phone Tax of 9.5%, and CA Sales Tax of 9.5% on the original iPhone cost of $810.00; 2) that Verizon will charge me $35.00 for the "upgrade" to the iPhone 12; 3) that Victra was charging me $19.99 for a "Set Up and Go Service"; and 4) that the phone did not come with a charger, and his lowest priced charger was $34.99. Products in the store are not priced, so Geo hesitated before naming his "best price". In any case, surprises totaled $137.15. When I asked him about the charges totaling $137.15 he specifically stated that "Everybody knows" to at least two of the surprise charges. I told him that everybody does not know; that I did not know. "How would I?" I asked. He had no response to that. He then offered to sell me insurance on the phone. And then I remembered a former very negative experience I had at that very same location many years earlier. My phone had been stolen from my luggage at an airport and the replacement phone that my "insurance" with Victra was nothing short of a piece of junk. When I replaced it soon thereafter at APPLE, they reported to me that the former owner's name and some of her data were still in that phone! When I mentioned this to Geo, he said, "Everybody knows you're getting a refurbished phone." Once again, I said I did not know and even if I had, I would have expected more than a piece of junk routed to me loose in a large cardboard box. Needless to say, declined their "insurance". Ultimately, Geo removed the $19.99 "Set Up and Go" service which had included tax(!) for a total of $21.89. I am left feeling resentful and will NEVER return to any Victra store. I will go back to APPLE where I have had excellent service and products with honest, straightforward pricing and some semblance of integrity. Geo, stop with the integrity B.S.; you have none! read more

if you CARE about your photos on your phone-DONT GO TO THIS STORE-I went there today to buy a new phone-I asked MANY times for assurance that my photos on my phone would be transferred to the new phone without a problem. They said, no problem -THEY LIED. THEY LOST ALL THE PHOTOS. They must think people are stupid-tafter 30 minutes, the person that was supposed to be competent disappeared into the back room with another employee for about 20 minutes. Came out and asked me if I had done something to lose the photos-SHE had my phone the entire time. Yes, BLAME THE CUSTOMER when you screw up. All in, I was in that store for more than 2 hours. They said I could bring in my laptop and maybe they could do something there. DO YOU THINK I WOULD TRUST YOU WITH MY LAPTOP AFTER YOU SCREWED UP THE MOST SIMPLE OF TRANSACTIONS. I have to say, I had my doubts about this place considering that it is an authorized retailer (privately owned) and not a corporate-owned location, but my husband and I could not be happier with the service we received from Zielo and her manager. I'm afraid I was a bit rude when we first walked in (sorry, Zielo!) as I had read the reviews and was afraid of getting ripped off, but she graciously and calmly answered all of my questions. We were only planning to get some information from this location and actually do the contract and purchase at a corporate Verizon store later, but after speaking with Zielo and Verizon customer service, decided to proceed with 4G -- and I'm so happy we did because we walked out that same day with our new phones! Which, by the way, was amazing because they didn't have the phone I wanted in stock, so Zielo personally drove to another location in Beverly Hills to get it for me and was back within the hour. Amazing service! I also found her (and the manager on staff; I did not catch his name but he was great too) to be professional, kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable about the phones and contract options. I can't pretend to have all the answers about the difference between authorized retailers and corporate stores, but here is what I understand: 1) I asked Verizon customer service if we would pay more or have a different contract because we were working with a retailer and he said "no, and in fact retailers can save you money by waiving initiation fees and providing other discounts" (which, by the way, Zielo did and saved us $80 right off the bat) 2) I also asked customer service if our phones would cost more and he did say retailers can charge different prices so I should compare online. I did, and saw that the iPhone 6 / 64 GB is $299.99 online and $299.99 at this store (with a new contract), so it was the exact same price. This is the phone that both my husband and I got. I would just say do your research before you come in so you know what price to expect and you won't have a problem. 3) Zielo's manager also gave us a huge discount on our accessories because we bought several in the store. I really appreciated that and have never received a discount on accessories at any other Verizon store. I also thought their prices on accessories were very reasonable. I will say that several people came in and waited for service while we were setting up our complicated contracts and transferring to our new phones (which can be a lengthy process) and they did not have enough staff on hand to service all the customers. However, you really can't blame them because this was on a Sunday in downtown LA and I bet it's usually unpredictable in terms of traffic. I think you just need to be prepared for a wait when you go to any service shop like this as you never know when it is going to be busy and they can't have six people standing around on a Sunday just in case. Don't buy your phone from here. The phone they sold me cost way too much. I literally couldn't find a price that even matched their price. When I tried to return the phone they tried to charge me a $70 restocking fee. Which was even part of their contract. Also they made it seem like they gave me a discount on a phone when really they just locked me in to a 2 year contract to finance the phone. They were deceptive on nearly every aspect of the deal. Went in to upgrade my BF's phone from an iPhone to a Google Pixel. Needless to say, Apple makes it challenging to switch to something other than their own products. This Verizon store is very SHADY. I came in asking about my cracked screen and if they can repair it. They offered me a brand new iphone6 for a such a great dea atl $180. The manager told me the only thing I have to do is go to a mom and pop shop, repair my cracked screen and mail back the phone to Verizon. 2 months later, my phone bill hiked up almost double the original amount. I called Verizon and they told me that I signed up for the Edge plan. I didn't even know about the Edge plan because the store never broke it down and explained it. I'm making monthly payments on the $600 iphone6. If I knew about that, I wouldn't have signed the papers. I don't have the money to buy a phone at full price. The store never explained to me that I was signing this payment plan contract. At the end of my transaction, all they did was have me swipe my credit card and sign the receipt. Little did I know that I actually bought the phone full price and making a monthly payment. Now it's too late and I can't return. They said they gave me a screen me a screen protector and case too. When they said "gave" I didn't know they were charging me for that too until I looked at my receipt. They are a scam. They will withhold any important info just to make a sale! Awful! read more

I walked in and was greeted with the enthusiastic smiles of the staff, busy attending other customers, but not too busy to welcome me as I walked in. The staff member who assisted me, Jessica B., was genuinely happy to answer my wireless questions. She was so knowledgeable, I assumed I was lucky to get the store manager to help me upgrade my phone. I realized a few days later, when I returned to pick up my new iPhone, that Marilyn, NOT Jessica, was the manager. Marilyn assisted her team, working her knowledge to speed things up for all in the store. I don't write reviews, and I tend to view cell phone reps with the same disdain as car salesmen, but THIS store changed all that. As Jessica handed me my new phone I thanked her and told her how impressed I was. She smiled and said, " Teamwork makes the dream work". ~ I've been using that phrase ever since! LoL read more

AVOID THIS STORE--VISIT VERIZON'S CORPORATE STORES I had an extremely negative experience at a Victra store located in San Diego. My phone had been stolen the night previous and I was attempting to purchase a replacement iPhone 7 on my way out of town (to Sacramento). I went into the store and attempted to access my account. The sales associate required a PIN number to view any of my account information. She specifically requested a 4 digit pin number, so I gave her the 4 digit number I believed to be the passcode on the account. After 10 minutes of trying numbers and trying to get ahold of my mother, who is also an account manager, I finally discovered that it could also be a 5 digit number, which I then immediately gave her. Of course, the number of digits a PIN number contains is an important factor in remembering that number. Anyways, once she had access to my account she informed me that I did not have lost or stolen coverage on my phone. She showed me that the coverage I had was 'TEC' which only covered 'TEC'-hnical issues with the phone, and was essentially a glorified manufacturers warranty. This was a completely erroneous statement, but I had no way to know that at the time, as I generally trust the people I interact with, and had no means to look this information up my self. With this false knowledge, I attempted to purchase a replacement. Luckily between this store and the sister store across the street, they had only a single iphone 8 with 256 GB storage available, which I did not want. During the time spent looking up availability, I asked the return policy and was told only other Victra stores can accept a return, with the $70 restocking fee of course. This would have been extremely inconvenient for me as there are no Victra stores in the Sacramento area, where I live. After leaving the store and performing further research, I found in the Verizon wireless glossary that "TEC" in fact stands for "Total Equipment Coverage" which does, in fact, cover lost or stolen devices. In summary, had I followed the information given to me by the Victra sales associate, it would have cost me over $400 to finish the monthly payments on the stolen phone and then an additional $28 a month for the new phone replacement. Thankfully this store was woefully understocked and I decided I would have to be without a phone for a few days until I returned to Sacramento. I would advise everyone not to attend a Victra Authorized Dealer in the future; whether it be because of undereducated staff members in regards to Verizon Wireless policies or because of intentionally predatory sales tactics attempting to take advantage of customers with limited means of contacting those who are knowledgeable about those policies. read more

Like others have mentioned, this store has the worst customer service. I was the only customer when I walked in and the guy and girl working there kept their chat going as I looked over to them and waited for service. When the woman finally helped me, she at first seemed oblivious to whether I ended up purchasing anything and--worse yet--this store has fewer phones and items in stock compared to all other Verizon stores so, eventually, they were trying to get me to buy something I didn't want when I could go to another Verizon store and buy what I really wanted (which I did, albeit inconveniently). On another occasion, I walked in and asked the chunky guy with a goatee a few questions and he was very condescending and totally didn't care whether I bought something. He even seemed annoyed that I had asked him for help, as he was texting or surfing the 'net on his phone. It's too bad that this Verizon store is so poorly managed as it is very conveniently located relative to where I work. Don't bother with this store because, even if you don't plan to waste your time, the employees here will make sure to do that for you. read more

Awful! I came in here to get a new SIM card for my new phone and they charged me 10 dollars even though it's supposed to be free (which I didn't realize at the time). But here's the catch - when I called to authorize it, Verizon informed me that this sim card WAS REPORTED STOLEN!!! I paid 10 dollars for a STOLEN sim card!!! WTF???? I happen to work nearby this location and stop in from time to time for general questions about my phone. Recently my boyfriend and I came in and Julie is the BEST. She saved us hundreds of dollars, was attentive, called us with updates on our orders and it the utmost professional. In fact we had ordered items over the phone from Verizon, were promised competitive prices and then met Julie and she slashed the prices we were offered. Because this is a third party retail Verizon store they are able to give you some GREAT deals. I highly recommend you check out this store. I received horrible service here, and none of the employees cared at all whether I was satisfied. The only reason I didn't permanently cancel my Verizon service was that there would have been a $150 restocking fee for my phone. It's not my first bad experience with Verizon's awful customer service, but this was the worst by far. The manager is charismatic, but inept, lazy and careless. After he gave me bad service he didn't even have the constitution to look me in the eye and apologize. No sense of responsibility whatsoever. This place is incredibly deceitful and dishonest. I went after my phone had been stolen just to put my number onto a different phone, which I had brought into the store with me. While I was there, several employees including the manager tell me that my plan is outdated and that they can get me on a better, cheaper plan that comes with a free tablet. I carefully ask about all the charges and they even give me a printout comparing the differences. It all looks legit, so I sign on. Turns out they completely misrepresented everything about the plan and blatantly lied about the fees. I immediately return everything, and am again reassured that all fees relating to the return have been waived and the matter is settled. Fast forward another month and my cell phone bill is hit with a $200+ fee for early termination, etc. Now I am painfully arguing with Verizon about the whole incident. Of course this location is not a real Verizon store, so that complicates things. I am a college and grad school educated individual. Do not dismiss these reviews thinking "It won't happen to me." When they blatantly lie to you and omit fine print in your copy of the changes that are made, you cannot protect yourself. My phone had gotten stolen the night before, and my contract is part of my father's massive business account so it's very challenging to deal with. I had to call and get my name added to the account in order to get a new phone, and they allowed me to spend however long I needed on their phone in order to get in contact with who I needed in order to get my name added. Carlos did not give up on me and I am so appreciative. Honestly, I have been using verizon ever since it purchased Alltel, and this was the best customer service I have ever received at a verizon store. I was in shock as I was in the store, and a woman came in and was treating them terribly, blaming them for things that they couldn't control. I was appalled by this woman's self righteous behavior and urge everyone to think beyond themselves, as those working here are only trying to help you. read more

One of thee best experiences I have ever had at a Verizon location. The staff was highly professional and extremely knowledgeable about phones . They definitely know how to treat a Veteran and made sure I was well taken care of . The manager of the store forgot her name but it starts with a M. She is the best manger Verizon has , I can tell you now when I walked into the store I thought I would be walking out with no phone and depressed. She took care of my phone issues and helped answer any questions I had and followed up with me after she took care of me in store . Everyone in that store deserves a raise , if you have Verizon and are in DTLA, do yourself a favor and go here for all anything Verizon related.
