Everything is a bit strange right now. Because of the COVID-19 virus, most small retail stores are closed and people are being told to stay at home. There was only one official Verizon store open on the west side of Los Angeles as far as I could tell. And my cell phone battery had been starting to go downhill a couple of weeks ago. I tried to get some kind of information over the phone from Verizon. Would a battery replacement take care of me or did I need to get a new phone? I just wanted some advice. I could not reach anybody at Verizon... At the store... Corporate... in chat... I was on hold for at least a half hour yesterday and I finally gave up. I didn't want to go out at all because of the pandemic...but I can't be holed up at home without a trustworthy phone. So I decided that I would call Victra because it's an authorized Verizon dealer. Someone actually answered the phone! He told me he couldn't install a battery but he could evaluate what was going on with my phone and we could take it from there. There were too many things going wrong with my iPhone 7, and the handwriting was on the wall. I needed to get a new phone. I'm glad I went to this place. Jake was personable and knowledgeable. He helped me get set up, transferred the info from my old phone, showed me what was different about this new phone... I know that if I have any questions I can go back to Jake and he'll help me. This was so much more pleasant than going to a Verizon store. Now I've got my new phone and I'm back in business. What a relief! read more

This was the worst Verizon experience of my entire life. I ordered a phone online to be picked up. It wasn't ready when it said it would be. I waited 20 minutes and they were unable to give me my phone. I called the store 2 hrs later and was told they didn't know when they would be able to get my phone to me. So I asked them if i should cancel my order. They told me they can't tell me to cancel my order but it might be the best option. So I canceled my order with the Victra Authorized Retailer. Usually I've had ok experiences from Verizon. Most of the employees would want to just get the sale. This is not the case for this location. The employees are patient and kind and take the time to listen to your questions without getting impatient or trying to get you to buy the product. Carlos helped me the first time to get an iPhone 7+. I had to call my parents for them to authorize me onto their account. Carlos waited patiently and answered every question I had and took time with me to see what would be the best option of a plan would be. Carlos helped give me some accessories and got me a discount as well!! The next time I went in I had help from another gentleman. He did nothing but help and again ask whatever questions I asked and did not act/seem impatient at all. This is the best Verizon store I've been to and everyone I've talked to treats you like you're important and that your questions are important. You walk into the Verizon store being prepared to spend a lot of money so it's nice to be able to leave the store feeling as little buyers remorse as possible. This was definitely the case. THIS IS A THIRD PARTY RETAILER, NOT A VERIZON STORE.That means terrible customer service because they don't care if you leave for another phone carrier. They already sold you stuff, that's all they wanted. Verizon the company is amazing. This store is not. They straight-up lied to me and it cost me a ton of money. To make the sale on two phones and a hotspot, which I was sending as gifts to my elderly parents, they told me a. If they want to return them, they can return them to any Verizon store (they live several states away from where I bought the stuff), and b. There will not be a restocking fee. This was the only thing that convinced me to get the gifts. Well, my parents aren't the most tech-savvy and they decided to return the gifts. C'est la vie. Now if turns out that a. There is a reason this place has 3 reviews including mine that have one star each...IT SUCKS. I went here last Saturday to purchase an iPhone 4S not realizing it was a third party store not a legit Verizon retail location. WHEN IN DOUBT CALL VERIZON and ask. Whoops now I know. Mark Petty the 'manager' helped me and helped is a word I used loosely. I went in knowing what I wanted and expected to see a print out cost as I have a corporate discount and new every 2 credit. First off they cannot give new every 2/loyalty credits because they are not authorized. I also didn't like how he had to ask my account password to access my account. I had never had to do that before and frankly I've thought about changing it since. Mark quoted me on tax on a iPhone 4 not 4S phone so when I came back after I left a deposit the total was 50 bucks more than he quoted. He tried to upsell me on a case, screen protectors, etc etc and I shut him down. He was able to transfer my contacts from my blackberry to new phone without hassle. I put a $ 100 deposit on the phone and expected it to arrive Monday but coincidentally they had 2 phones arrive at the store later that day so he called me and I returned. He said 'how quick can you be here?' as if their demand was so high. I said 30 minutes and was there in time to pick up my phone. He charged me another $ 277 and I had to remind him to refund the hold fee. He never properly closed out the original transaction because days later I received an automated email with FedEx tracking info from Verizon that my phone had arrived. Basically it arrived to the store and they reshelve it for another customer. I called verizon and got my $ 30 off and it looks like he only charged me $ 9 for a charger so who knows what calculator they are using because it says 75 % off which I am not complaining about. I am just annoyed that I gave this fool commission when he must have 2 brain cells. His manager who seemed like he belongs on that terrible show Shahs of Sunset was talking a mile a minute like he was hopped up on speed and raving about how Kobe Bryant and other celebs come into their Calabasas store. The service guy spend the whole time with me until my phone was completely switched over and works. The whole process was very stress free. Took about 20 mins to switch over (my AT&T number too). RIP OFF. Wish I could give them negative stars. This Verizon retailer was at the LA County Fair (building 4) and I upgraded some phones through them. Everything Bardia told me was lies, lies and more lies - the phones' capabilities, what we would be billed, insurance, return policy ... I could go on and on. The first lie Bardia said was that using my phone as a WiFi hotspot would overheat and damage the phone, so I needed to buy their "JetPack." I knew that was a lie because I have used my phones as WiFi hotspot for years with zero problems. I should have walked away, but he kept sweetening the deal so I foolishly went ahead and dealt with him. He was obsessed with getting me to subscribe to a new $10/mo line of service on the JetPack, I guess they make a huge commission on that product. I see that other Yelp users have had similar experiences with Bardia and his colleague, Arya. I've spent 20 hours trying to undo the damage they've done to my Verizon account. They can charge anything they want to your Verizon bill and they have zero accountability. Stay away from these swindlers! I won't know for a couple of billing cycles if I have rid myself of their bogus charges, I'll report back then. The fine print on their contract even says, "4G Wireless reserves the right to refuse any return." Hmmm... Keep in mind that in general 3rd party retailers are a gamble - they have unlimited access to charge your account and Verizon corporate seems unwilling/unable to do anything about it. Much safer to go through a Verizon corporate store or direct internet sales through Verizon's website. ------- Edit on 9/28: I returned all the equipment within the 2 week window but I still keep getting emails and phone calls from Verizon saying I haven't returned the equipment and they are going to charge me full retail for the equipment (like $1350). Of course I got a receipt when I made the return, but that doesn't seem to mean anything to Verizon's phone or chat people. They tell ME I have to contact the store and find out the tracking number for their return shipment to Verizon...? WHAT??? I am NOT responsible for what happens to the phones after I return them to the store and get a return receipt. I am not a postal detective! Apparently the scam artists at 4G Wireless didn't actually record the information with Verizon corporate that I had returned the phones and ask that Verizon remove that from my account, they just turned around and sold them to someone else so they could double bill for those phones. I'm up to about 40 hours invested in this, just to get back to what I had before I started dealing with La Cosa Bardia ... including 6 in-person visits to corporate and retail stores and about 10 chats and 5 phone calls. Verizon boasts a "Worry-Free Guarantee" - apparently that means it's guaranteed that they'll give you lots to worry about - but the worry is free. ------- Edit on 10/12: I now have a bill for $766 for all kinds of equipment charges despite the fact that I returned everything in perfect condition within the specified period. Need I say more about these frauds? ------- Edit on 12/23: After many months and dozens of phone calls and online chats with Verizon, they have concluded that 4G Wireless never returned the phones to Verizon corporate, 4G Wireless just turned around and resold them to other unsuspecting customers. I was charged $398 for the non-return of my two old phones that I kept when I returned the two new phones. Excuse me, how can I return both the new phones AND my old ones? Anyway I was told many, many times that everything would be taken care of, that I would get a return phone call (which of course I never did), that those charges would be removed, that my service would not be shut off due to unpaid charges ... and ONE DAY AFTER one of those calls, my service was shut off! Never, ever, ever deal with a 3rd party retailer ... and if you foolishly do, make sure it's not a scam organization like 4G Wireless. read more

This store stole our money, but we got made whole by Verizon. It took us 18 months to get our money back! I added another line to my account in March 2019. A sales person by the name of Robert, told me that by getting a new phone, I can also get a free tablet as part of a promotion. What he did not tell me was that there would be a monthly account and charges related to the tablet. After seeing being charged in the next cycle, immediately went back to the store to return the tablet and cancel the account. We were told that we would be getting a credit and it took a few cycles to show up. You guessed it right, the credit never showed up. Off we went to the store again. Only to be told by the manager that the promotion was only for the device and not the line and blamed the mistake on Robert. Then he escalated this issue to a person that we had never seen or spoken to before. Enter, Gaston! Gaston was supposedly some sort of a manager/representative that oversaw multiple stores and he was the one to approve our credit. Of course, Gaston does not work on premises. He manages multiple stores and shows up on certain days, and of course, those days are never known. He can only be reached by phone, and that is, only if he picks up. He never picks up, because he is busy with so many stores. We asked for Gaston's number to call ourselves. They eventually caved and gave us a number. Gaston never picked up our calls. Lesson for you: You don't get a hold of Gaston, he finds you when he needs you which he never does. We got jerked around like this for months on end making numerous trips to the store. We were told we would get calls, emails, none of which ever happened. Seasons changed, and so did the management of the store. Manager at the time of our getting tricked by Robert left, another one came. New manager seemed to be more understanding and cooperative, made new promises, but nothing changed. (First manager that kept getting sick every time we asked for him and eventually got fired was named Donovan. I believe the second one, a gentleman was named David). We gave up and eventually started dealing with Verizon. It took us a lot of calls and another few months until Verizon finally agreeing to issue half of the credit and ask the store to foot the rest of the bill. The store did not, again. Another multiple calls with Verizon, during all of which, the Verizon customer service representative put us on hold to call the store, but to no avail. As the this review is for the store, and not Verizon, I will spare you the details of the calls with Verizon. Eventually, after one more call with Verizon, we successfully got the account disconnected, the rest of the credit issues, and additional credit for some extra payments we had to make along the way. Never ever shop at this store. If you absolutely have to, quadruple check what they are getting you into as their customer is black hole, a journey with no return. read more

Bad: - Very limited selection of phones on display - Phones on display are heavily secured to desks - can't get a good sense of how one feels over the other, or compare camera quality - Never contacted me when my device arrived - Hoodie-wearing younger girl employee that I made purchase with "not my job"/"just following orders" attitude - Deceptive practices After checking out phones on Monday with the skinny blonde guy and a newly hired guy with a beard, I had a good feeling about this store. The device I decided on wasn't in stock, so they ordered it and said it would take about 3 days. 5 days later, I decided to call to ask if it had come in, not having received any notification. Their phone went to voicemail, but the voicemail box was full (sloppy). I decided to just head over - it was the weekend, I needed a replacement ASAP, and I wanted to take a bike ride anyhow. One employee in the store: a younger female with a ponytail. I explained about the order - she was aware of it (good!), and retrieved the phone right away. She proceeded to unbox it, turn it on, and set it up, quickly choosing options without asking me what I preferred, not showing me what she was doing. I was perturbed, but let it slide because I knew I could just factory reset afterward (I did). I had to speak up to stop her from removing the protective plastic from the screen. I reviewed the box's contents after retrieving it from her - nothing was missing. I let her know that I didn't appreciate not being asked beforehand - she insisted that she was required to verify that calling and internet worked before handing it to me. If this is actually required, I very strongly suggest to the manager that this policy is changed - while I understand that technophobes will appreciate it, and that it protects Victra from an array of pains they might otherwise experience from dumb or malicious customers, it's invasive to the customers' digital privacy. At one point I mentioned that their voicemail inbox is full. The employee said she heard me call but was on lunch break. This means 1) They had scheduled a part of this day so that there are 0 employees "on the clock" during some period of posted business hours 2) She didn't think to return the call or check the voicemail. When I arrived, there were no customers in the store, and she was doing something idly on her personal phone, indicating that she failed to do these things out of negligence or laziness. I was then told that I would have to pay the taxes up-front, and directed to the payment terminal. Sure, makes sense. A service agreement appeared on the screen and the employee tried to press the accept button while telling me to sign - she missed (it would have been illegal for her to accept the agreement for me, and it's awful that she tried). I read through and noticed a few important things: - You are agreeing that any legal disputes are solved through arbitration or small claims court - You are agreeing to allow Victra to send you messages, although this can be revoked by emailing revokemyconsent@victra.com I was never presented with a copy of this agreement, so I'll be requesting one. Partway through this process, she mentioned that it was taxes and a $30 setup fee. Fine, whatever. AFTER paying, I was presented with an itemized receipt (no itemized invoice or total price was displayed on the payment terminal, the total was communicated verbally). Apart from the phone itself, the receipt had $19.99 for "Set Up and Go Plus", and $29.99 for "Redux Single Line Membership". I asked what the membership was - she explained that it was a part of the setup fee. I tried to get a better answer, but she was only able to repeat a couple of canned responses about it being a part of the setup fee (I call BS - you don't call one-time setup a "membership"). I asked I could have avoided the setup fee, or if it was waivable - she insisted that the $40 setup (no, $50, I corrected her), right the $50 setup is unavoidable no matter where I get my phone. I let her know that having received the details AFTER she transferred service to my other phone and had me pay left me feeling cheated and lied to, that I had a bad customer experience. She then proceeded to argue that I didn't have a bad experience, and refused to apologize. After some deliberation, I completed the purchase anyways, because I really did need this replacement ASAP, it was clear that I wouldn't get anywhere with this particular employee, and figured that the manager (who appears to be responsive and personally well-reviewed on Yelp) will be able to undo the bad impression left by the poorly trained employee. read more

After my iPhone stopped working after an upgrade (don't even get me started on that) - this store told me my only option was to buy the iPhone X. And then all hell broke loose. I was told the wrong information. I was charged the wrong things. They took my phone and sent in to Verizon, but then it was lost. Verizon told me this process was handled wrong and I should get my money back. But this store wouldn't give me my money back - they fired their own employee instead and said that was enough. After hours and hours of calls back and forth between Verizon and this BS-wannabe-jank-ass store, Verizon ultimately gave me money because they couldn't believe how ridiculous this Victra store is. The new manager, Chris, (bless his soul, he was hired on December 2nd and I can already tell the crazy storm he has gotten himself into) even LIED to Verizon. Chris told Verizon that the store never received my iPhone and they did not send it in. Well, Chris, there was evidence from when you guys sent in my phone you dummy! God, I wish there was bad business police so I can report this bozo. Verizon and myself had many official e-mails and things were tracked with my phone. Stupid, stupid Victra. I honestly can't believe I beat down big, bad corporate Verizon where they continually paid for the mistakes of Victra. Which they never do! The first time I came to this place was one year ago. I had just moved to the US and wanted to compare prices with operators like AT&T and T-Mobile. It took them almost 30 minutes to print out a simple quote for a basic personal plan, and when I told them that the price they were offering was way higher than T-Mobile's one, they got all upset and basically told me to go to T-Mobile. But wait, there's more. I finally signed up with Verizon for the supposedly better network quality. The thing is I happen to live in one of those "grey areas" where there is almost no service (I didn't know that by the time I signed up). So I went back to the store and explained my issue. I asked what they could do to help and they suggested me to buy a $150 signal amplifier that I could set up at my place to enhance the signal. Which I did. Long story short, it didn't help at all. I came back to the store and talked to the same guys again. They accepted to give me a full refund for the signal amplifier but said they couldn't do anything to help with my plan and suggested me to get a landline for when I'm home! I have come to this store on and off over the years. At times, they have indeed had customer service issues. Lately, however, they have worked on their customer service and have brought in new people. The manager, Michael, has been really helpful. A couple of months ago I went in because my new iPhone X was using tons more wifi. He went through everything with me until I understood what is causing the increase, and then showed me how to remove, disable, and change everything that was using up my allotted wifi. This Verizon shop has been my go-to for many years now since I live in the area. Very convenient for me. My husband & I were due for upgrade, and wewaited for the Samsung S10 to come out. Michael and Donovan have been very helpful especially when I decided to change my mind on the color of the phone after all the upgrade process was done and ordered. I had to go back 2x to the store to make the changes but everything have been taken cared of at the end of the day, I didn't have to wait for another 3-4 days for my new phone. First of all I have been with Verizon for 6 years. But this is the worst Verizon store I have ever been to, it's in the same complex as the El Pollo Loco. I have been to this one twice and the service was terrible. There was a lot of staff there (5) and they don't do a damn thing. I wanted to get a battery for my phone and they try to shove a new phone down your throat. All they want to do is sell you phones to get their commission. They are arrogant, ignorant and obnoxious. If you have to go to a Verizon store, go to any other one besides this one. I suggest the one on Wilshire and 26th. The parking is bad, but it is not as bad as dealing with these idiots. This is the best store I've ever visited, with awesome customer service. Scott is very patient, knowledgeable and easy to communicate. He tried different plans for me to find the most cost-effective one - it took him quite a long time and I really appreciate his patience. It saved me $10/month. I went there in the afternoon and there is no line to wait. I don't think it's a third party store - Scott has been with Verizon for several years and he knows lots of stuff (even including Verizon home service). read more

It doesn't get worse than ATT... I've taken their abuse for years and finally had enough of them and their Philippine call center so I drove down to Verizon. Donnovan Ham helped me out and he was really courteous, knowledgeable, and best of all efficient. In almost no time I was on my way with a brand new phone and good plan.
