This review is long overdue, as I was at the store back in September 2025. I'm giving 3 stats because I want to rant about the poor staffing and rave about the great service. I was there to get a new iPhone 17 shortly after they were released, and while there were at least three people there for the same thing each time I went, there was only one employee staffed. The appointment I had made meant nothing because it was ultimately first come first serve. I left and came back on two separate days in hopes of not having to wait hours. Finally, I sucked it up and waited my turn. Cam (Camden) was the man on duty, and he was a rockstar. He was able to help me and my older father while alternating between two other customers at the same time. He was incredibly efficient and friendly despite what seemed like a hectic situation. I so appreciated Cam's patience and help. My only complaint is regarding the staffing, as Verizon should have been able to anticipate more customers, and therefore the need for more staff, when a new iPhone is being released. read more

I usually loathe getting a new phone but the guy at the counter was super helpful and straight to the point. Super professional and courteous , we had to come back a few weeks later and it was Cam again, he really helped clear up my questions about my bill and helped me out with purchasing a lens protector and put in on for me. Least helpful Verizon store I have been to in years. Not a real Verizon store, can't help you return phones, deal with the company, and the employees can't wait to tell you how useless they are. I would give zero stars if I could. I was visiting from out of town; phone died. Went to Verizon Moorpark thinking all Verizon's same. Not true. This is a dealer. Experience was. 1. Said I could get 2 lines so payments would be same with a new phone and they would just delete other line. 2. Did not give me receipt (yes I should have asked for it but after 2,5 hrs just wanted to get out and thought (foolishly Verizon would send it to me) 3. When I got home I looked on estimated bill and I was charge for 2 lines - doubled my bill. 4. Went to Verizon corporate to undo and they could not help because dealer is not tied into their system. 5. Called Moorpark and supervisor"Jacob" said that he could not give me receipt it would take 24 hours, also said 2nd line would come off after next billing cycle. Went to another dealer of same Franchise an hour away and they gave me receipt of which I was charged over $200 for accessories I did not get and if I waited for next billing cycle my 30 days to return phone would be up. BOTTOM LINE: I was scammed. Fortunately there was an honest person at other franchise that corrected all this for me. read more

My wife and I came in to upgrade our phones. Mike helped us out and was very patient with us and answered every question. He also showed me the breakdown of all the fees and also explaining the change of our new monthly payment. He also walked us through the phone transfers easily. Mike was very personable and easy to have a conversation with. Overall, if I need to upgrade my device again or refer anyone to upgrade their phones, I would highly recommend Mike in the Moorpark location. read more

I've been coming here for the last 12 years. In the past the service hasn't been the best, but my family and I come back, because there's always been a Spanish speaker and both my parents prefer to speak in Spanish. We came back at the end of May to upgrade our phones, and let me tell you, the service was great! My parents are now older and have more questions. Although our sales guy didn't speak Spanish, he was SUPER patient with my folks. He answered their questions, and was helpful & friendly towards them. I went into the store this morning looking to consolidate our plan and upgrade phones potentially. They wanted 1700+ for two new phones and said that our monthly plan would go up. I asked what the number would be and the sales rep said he couldn't tell me, but it was around.....I asked for a solid monthly figure and he he kept hemming and hawing. He also told me that the deal for the IWatch/ iPad was over as well. I went to the Oaks Mall whereby Sergio took care of things in a professional manner. He even went to another store to grab a case that my wife wanted. The service between the stores couldn't be more different. I paid less than half of what the Moorpark Verizon asked for have two new phones with the option of the watch and iPad which still runs through this month. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!!!!! If I could give this store a zero, I would. How do you and your team sleep at night knowingly taking advantage of people who don't understand technology? My mother went to the store today because her Galaxy Note 4 randomly switched to all Chinese language. The store told her "they have never seen this happen before and they wouldn't know how to fix it". THEN the manager tried to convince her that she should buy a new phone instead because "it would be the same monthly payment anyway". First of all, any millennial would know that there is a language setting on all smartphones. Just because you cannot read it, doesn't mean you can't compare it to a different phone in English and find the right buttons to push. I sent my mom a YouTube video of how to switch it, and she fixed her own phone in about 45 seconds. Needless to say, we won't be going back to your store for any of our phone needs. Maybe you are on the border of having to close your doors like all the other stores in that plaza, but it doesn't give you the right to take advantage of people. read more

Michael was great! Got my new device, unlocked. But it only had ATT carriers and no Verizon ability. Got on the phone with Apple, they had no idea how to fix it. Got on the phone with Verizon, they had no idea how to fix it. Got on the phone with Verizon level 2 tech. It took him a while, but he figured out the solution. But at the same time the level 2 guy figured the solution, Michael was already on it. He activated a SIM card in another device then put it in mine. Problem solved! My device now works on Verizon - even though the Verizon support site says it is not compatible. Not only that, but he pointed out that with all our family devices, with the older ones, out of contract, it's probably a waste to keep buying insurance. When a vintage device fails, we'd most likely get a new one anyway. True. I'm very impressed! read more

Would give 0 stars if possible. Manager scammed us by giving us a promotion that did not exist on the Samsung S20's and threw in "free" tablets as a bonus. When calling and going back in person to ask about incorrect billing of that purchase, he kept telling us to wait for the system to sort things out and it should correct itself. He kept telling us to wait and did it purposefully long enough to be past the 14 day return policy. Would not accept the returns once we were fed up with waiting and we got screwed paying for everything. Avoid this location/manager, better to just call and order with Verizon themselves. read more

I have been in this store in the past and had terrible service and normally use the Simi location but today i did not have the time. Mickey went above and beyond. From the beginning, we were suspicious of this Verizon store. Here's the story, I called ahead to see if we can get a good deal on a pair of LG phones and a 2 year family plan. Sales rep "M" said that he would give me the two phones for $99 (plus $50 mail-in rebate) instead of $149 (plus $50 back from mail-in rebate) and he would wave the activation fees....sounds like a great deal...BUT.... this turned out to be a bait-n-switch tactic. I even called him back to reiterate the deal he was offering since it sounded too good to be true. Especially since I was driving about 20 miles to get to the store. He confirmed the deal. When I got there, Sales rep "M" never came out of the back room and the manager was not willing to honor the deal. I was not happy. After some strong words, she gave me the two LG phones for $120 (plus $50 mail-in rebates) and no activation fees. After less then a month later and very bad coverage in our area, we had to switch out of Verizon... since we were within the 30 days this should have been a very simple (full refund) process. The Moorpark sales rep was insisting that we had to come to the store and she could not access our account over the phone... I could not understand why we had to physically be there for them to tell me if we were going to be charged anything extra? She later told us that the manager would charge us a $35 "restocking" fee per phone. The manager would not talk to me directly on the phone. We spoke to Verizon Wireless (611 ) to verified this charge and they told us that we should NOT be charged any restocking fee for porting out and returning equipment within the 30 day limit. Finally, the Moorpark sales rep told us to go to the Thousand Oaks store to do the return, and that is exactly what we did... the rep at the TO store told me that there should NOT be a restocking fee and he would personally look into the actions of the manager at the Moorpark store. And he did not like that the Moorpark store suggested that I come to the TO store to return I highly recommend that you look at a different Verizon store to get your phone and service. There is a tinge of shadiness at this store. I was so unhappy with their actions that it forced me to open this yelp account and start getting the information out about this company and others. I hope to publish more 5 star reviews rather then 1 star. read more

Of the various Verizon Wireless stores I've been to, this one is arguably the best. The associates are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The wait here has always been short too. Most of the times I've gone in, there's no waiting at all. Unfortunately this store is rumored to be closing soon. Why do the good stores always close? A couple negatives here are the selection. Being a smaller phone store, their selection isn't as good as some of the larger regional centers. Also they're unfortunately tied indelibly to Verizon, which has some of the worst on-line and telephone customer service on the planet. It's not the fault of the management or staff at this individual store, but it's nonetheless frustrating. read more

However, this is by FAR the best Verizon store I've been in...and I've been in quite a few up and down the state. First of all, there is NEVER a line. The longest I waited was 10 minutes which is like a lightening strike in Verizon time. Wow !!!!!!!! I was given the best customer service that I have received in ages by Hunter at the Wireless Plus/Verizon store in Moorpark. My iphone had some issues just went there to see if I could get it fixed. Hunter, checked my phone and explained it couldn't be fixed and said don't worry I'll take care of it. He called the insurance company and spoke to several people to get the claim authorized over the phone, it took him about a hour. Not only did he go to bat for me with the insurance company to get my phone replaced he got it upgraded it to the next better model. I was quite pleased with just that. Slow service everytime I come in. Since its close im stuck having to come here.. The service used to be great, but the past year or so has been nothing but problems... Everytime I come in, theres only 1-2 staff members and it takes more than 20-30 minutes to actually get noticed when you walk in. Whats even better is this is not a "verizon" store. But some retailer names wireless plus. There is no distinction for this when they hang verizon all over the place and have their name hidden away. If I could give Mickey and Wireless plus 0 stars, I would. I called to ask if they had the iPhone X in stock. Mickey said they did and I drove to the store. Mickey was there and said they had the iPhone X model I was looking for. Great, I thought. Well...Mickey came back to tell me they have the phone, but that it is a "bundle deal" with a $10 per month tablet. What?! I came to buy a phone, not a tablet. Mickey then went on to try and convince me to change my data plan to a "throttled, but better" plan. I told Mickey I do not have any use for a tablet and am happy with my current data plan. I just want to buy the phone that he has sitting next to him for sale. Mickey said he can't sell me the iPhone without my also buying the tablet as part of his "bundle deal". Can you say BAIT AND SWITCH? Can you say HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE? Wow, just wow. Do not bring your business to this store. I hope this review helps others looking for a Verizon store.
