We took our new iPhone into the store and were greeted by Yoav who took the time to set up the new phone and get all data transferred from the old phone to the new phone. He was very courteous and helpful even though we did not purchase the phone from Verizon however have our service with Verizion. I was in town as an essential employee. A govermment certificate holding essential employee. I call ahead of time to see if they had the products that I needed. I explained my reason for being in town, and further ask them for their hours so I would not come when the store was closed. A man explained my 2 options and answered my questions. I walked a 1/2 in 106' heat. When I arrived at the store there was not one customer in the building. When I open the door I was told that I could not come in because I was not wearing a mask. I explained that I was government certification essential employee and that I just needed to buy 1 item. I also reminded this employed that I was at least 36' away and that there was no other person in the store. The female employee that addressed to me was extremely unprofessional in her appearance, action and speech. She was dressed in ripped jeans and high top converse . I asked if I stepped outside if she would not mind ringing me up. I stepped outside she brought the product to me to view and I gave her my credit card. Once again I offered for her to view my government certificate as and essential employee waving me from the restrictions in place. The Verizon representative by the name of Hayley once again refused to look at my certificate. I respect those who want to ensure that we are doing the best possible behaviors to contain the pandemic however if she is going to be an enforcer she must also know all of the guidelines for essential employees. This establishment was extremely unprofessional in many ways. I would not suggest the store for any of your needs. By the way their return policy requires a 25% restocking fee or $25 for restocking a phone or Internet device $35 for a smartphone and $70 for watches and tablets. Not even worth returning an item to them, AVOID this store. read more

This store is a huge sham. It is not a corporate location, so making exchanges or following through on their false claims is impossible. They won't mention this, in fact, they'll say things like 'exchange at any Verizon store.' It turns out that's completely false. The rep, Elvia and the management are all full of misinformation, about the phones, claimed upgrade discounts, to mandatory insurance, and other upsells. Details about the phone I purchased (a Galaxy S8+) were so completely wrong, it was laughable, my favorite being told the phone was completely metal during my initial purchase. Now, I didn't do my due diligence ahead of time and actually trusted what they said. Well, turns out the phone is plastic with a coating of glass on the back...I repeat, the phone is entirely glass. My favorite line from the rep when I called them about the discrepancy to exchange was, "In my opinion, the back of the phone is metal." Come to think of it, the amount that makes me laugh every time I think about it probably makes up for this entire transgression. Anyway, they pulled the same thing with "upgrade discounts," stating that the discounts would be reflected in my Verizon bill in a month or two. That's also bogus, and their manager told me 3 different versions of things. The best was how they discounted a phone that normally retails for ~ $870 to $870. How very generous! It's more of a reverse discount. If I didn't do a payment plan, they would have charged me $970, apparently. Long story short, buy your phones online or from a corporate store, and if you absolutely have to buy here, don't trust a word they say. I don't think it's outright fraud, I just don't think they know what they're doing or just don't care very much. read more

I, like everybody else, should have read the reviews before stepping inside the store. All I wanted was a rapid charger & 32 GB memory for my Galaxy S4. The employee acted as if she couldn't be bothered. She showed me a cheaper charger (the one I want costs more) & all they had was 8 GB of memory. I asked her if she could order the 2 items & I would come pick them up. She acted as if she couldn't be bothered. I've worked in Customer Service all my life. If I was the Manager, that would have been her last day. Anything that I need from Verizon, I will buy online from now on. read more

BE PREPARED TO BE EXTORTED ... LITERALLY! I visited this store on a Wednesday and purchased a $200 flip phone. I also added a new line to our family plan. I also inquired about the new iPhone 6 but they didn't have any in-stock. By the time I left the store I had spent more than $200 dollars. 2 days later they called to tell me they had an iPhone 6 for me. I went back to the store, and after waiting almost 30 minutes in the store I was told they would NOT SELL ME AN IPHONE UNLESS I PURCHASED A CASE AND ACCESSORIES. The "wireless consultant" told me that if I really wanted the phone that day, I would pay for the case and accessories. This is how they treat their repeat customers? If I could give them half a star, I would. I wish I had read the yelp review of this place before I went in. DO NOT BUY YOUR PHONES HERE. While, they are authorized to sell you Verizon account/services, they are contracted out and there are NO WARRANTIES on their phones. I only found this out after purchasing a defective iPhone and tried to return it to a different corporate Verizon store, only 10 days after I purchased it. The corporate store couldn't match account numbers or product numbers and would not take it back because it was not technically sold by them, but sold by a contractor. Lucky for me it was an iPhone and Apple has great customer service and they warrantied the phone. You might not have such luck if you purchase a different brand of phone from here. Not only that, they set up the Verizon service incorrectly, because I was switching from TMobile to Verizon onto another person's plan. The customer service was horrible but I overlooked it because I was so excited to get my new phone. I guess I should have known better to buy a phone from a guy, who while assisting me, was talking to his friend on his cell phone about the new club he went to the previous night. read more

Better to just call Verizon directly. And order accessories online. 1)Bought a car-charger; it didn't work; took it back and they said it's not their problem - I have to send it to the manufacturer. 2)Had a second phone I was no longer using for work and was hoping to cut my bill a bit; they said there was nothing really they could do - no way to cut my bill any. I called Verizon and they told me about the suspend the line option which automatically cut my bill down. Not to mention the understaffed 45 minute wait time just to hear them tell me there was nothing that they could do to help me. read more

This is not Verizon. My gf and I went to buy 3 cellphones and they lied to us. They said a plan of 6GB would be enough. The area manager and the store manager lied to us. We wanted to canceled and they charged us $240 dol even though we told them our needs but they didn't care. We went to Indio to cancel. Now, we got a bill for 160 dol more. Are you kidding me? We had the cell phones for 4 days and we lost $400 dol. We wrote to corporate to see if they care. No answer yet. Our phone got stolen during Cochella, and we came here at 7:01pm the next day to get a new phone, as their hours on their phone and website state that they are open until 8pm. This is a bitter misrepresentation , as they were closed, and the representative waved us off like yesterday's trash when we tried to ask to speak. Don't trust their hours - they are a cruel lie. We relied on their public statements about their hours to our detriment, and the joke is on us. read more

My iPhone that I bought through verizon was on the fritz so I brought it over to this local store to see why my "FaceTime" and finger print recognition were suddenly not functional. The guy in the store had know idea what to do. The woman working in the store thought that the problem just required them to do some up dates, and it would take about 20 minutes. I thought great. After the store woman finished the updating the FaceTime and finger print recognition remained non functional. She then told me I had to take my phone that I bought at verizon to the apple store located in palm desert. That they would have to examine my iPhone. Frustrated I went home and called verizon and spoke to a tech, who easily walked me through the problem which only needed to be reset. Bottom line: the people who work in store on palm canyon lack the necessary knowledge to be helpful and useful. read more

I bought a $700. plus Iphone7 3 weeks ago and needed a tempered glass screen cover. Went to Verizon on Palm Canyon and bought a "Gadget Gear Blk. Ice Screen Protector for Iphone 6 or 7 for 39.99. Today, less than 3 weeks after purchase, I noticed a sharp chip out of the tempered glass cover. The store told me they would give me the address of the manufacturer, I'd have to ship the cover to the manufacturer, and someday the manufacturer would send me a new one. ABSOLUTELY ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE STORE ON AN OBVIOUSLY POOR QUALITY, INEFFECTIVE ITEM THEY SELL. In the future I'll go straight to the Apple store though Verizon is half the distance. I seriously wished I would of read the reviews on here before going to this location for any type of service. Walked in there and Martin Gutierrez was the only employee in the store at the moment. I wanting to activate a used phone unfortunately the phone did not have a SIM card. I notified Martin I need a SIM card (while showing him my HTC Droid phone) he asked me if I was sure if I needed a SIM card or an SD card bc some ppl tend to confuse one with the other. He asked me this even after he had seen my phone. I replied with, "well your the expert here shouldn't u know what kind of card I would need." After that he stated that it would b a $10 charge bc they r a franchise store. I agreed he gave me a SIM card n even by looking at it I knew it was not the correct one for it was too small for the slot. He then suggested if it was ok for him to try putting it in, I agreed he slide the SIM card into the phone n of course it was not the correct one. He noticed that I looked annoyed at the the fact that he gave me the incorrect SIM card instead of trying to turn my customer experience around he instead said, sorry I'm not going to be able to help u tonight, these things sometimes happen. Walked out of there shocked! Couldn't believe that he simply didn't care to do his job!!!!! So please don't rely on this store to get the job done or give u great customer service! read more

I have been a long time customer of Verizon Wireless and after my experience with the store manager at this particular store, I highly doubt that I will renew my contract with Verizon. I happen to be on a trip when I accidentally dropped my cell phone. I went without a phone for a couple of days as I was overseas. As soon as I arrived in Palm Springs, Aug. 18th, I headed directly to this Verizon Store as they were open til 8pm. I was at the store at 730pm and dealt with Bryan, the manager. The guy was more anxious to close up than helping a customer. He basically looked at the phone and said it was shot. Fine, I was ok with it. I had an old Blackberry phone with me that I also purchased from Verizon, and asked him if he could activate it so I would have a phone in the meantime. He said he would do it but it would be $30.00 if he would have to do it, otherwise, I could call customer service/support to re-activate my Blackberry and it was free. It was obvious that he just wanted to close shop, I left. The following day, I went to the Ramon Rd./Gene Autry store as I was intent on purchasing a replacement. I dealt with Loren and she was so helpful, compared to Bryan. She re-activated my Blackberry in no time. I was ready to pay her $30.00 for the switch when she said there was no charge for it. Really? I called customer service at 630pm and spoke with Eunice (800)992-0204 and lodged a complaint about the store manager I dealt with, now I am curious as where and how far this would go! Went there for a new phone. Excellent service! Got a Droid Turbo and only paying an additional couple bucks a month... Not the hundreds I was expecting. Services were so good, my girlfriend bought a tablet and is only paying $10 a month for it! Went back two weeks later with my girlfriend and a friend and they both upgraded to the Droid Turbo! I visited the store 3 times during the process of upgrading from a flip phone to an iPhone 5c. On each occasion, I was greeted upon entering the store and helped immediately. Great customer service, and even the trainee appeared highly knowledgeable. My phone had to be ordered. When it arrived, Mark patiently walked me through the set-up and explained the phone's features. For some reason we weren't able to add one of my email addresses, but I am hopeful that glitch can be worked out. Excellent customer service! read more

My friend broke her phone during our trip. We went into this store with the intention of getting her set up with a new phone and new plan. The store representative was extremely rude and short with her. She was degrading and wouldn't help us figure out the plan options. She told my friend that if she wanted to buy an iPhone upfront it would cost $1,000, at which point I turned to my friend and said that it wouldn't be close to $1,000 because I know that the Apple Store has them for $650. The clerk proceeded to roll her eyes at me and insist that my friend wouldn't be able to find an iPhone for that price. She kept trying to talk my friend out of plans and phones, at one point saying it would "just be too hard" for my friend to get released from her parents' plan. I know that to be untrue because I went though this process less than a year ago and it was relatively simple. We walked out of the store with no phone and no plan because of this lady's horrible customer "service." Go spend your money somewhere else! read more
