What a horrible wireless service provider Verizon Wireless is. If you are on a contract and cancel early, in addition to outrageous cancellation fees they can continue billing you even without providing you service as they see fit, then report you to a collection agency and ruin your credit as they so please. Once in a contract you are locked in for years & new customers get way better deals than you. Play it safe and choose prepaid wireless with T-Mobile. They're the best out there. read more

There's a reason why Verizon and it's stores have such low ratings. Customer service isn't all that great. The staff are friendly but not helpful. All these staff members want to do is up-sell for commission and they make it obvious. I dislike the fact that they always discontinue accessories for any phone I have with the company once they always come out with an upgrade or a newer phone. This place is a hit or miss. Some days they may not have a wait time and over days they may have a 30 minute plus wait time. It has definitely changed over the years. They remodeled it back a few years so it looks real nice but like I said, the staff are friendly but not helpful and they never have the accessories I look for. I went in for a simple upgrade, and after an hour the clueless sales rep gave up and told me to call customer service. I called customer service, and not only was I told that the information given to me in the store was wrong, but the telephone customer service had me upgraded and done in 12 minutes! i originally went here on july to switch from tmobile we were helped by marvin he was very patient explained everything we had no suprises on our bill we payed exactly what we expected. Two months later i go across the street in the mall to try and pay my bill they say they cant i have to call. The person who helped us (cant remember) his name then offered us 2 free tablets he said all we have to pay is sales tax we said great he then said he could change our plan to pay lower we said great and proceeded to make a long story short now we are paying close to $400 every month! I have been a loyal Verizon customer for over 20 plus years with 5 phone lines and I like Verizon but some store locations just have horrible customer service. I went to the one in Van Nuys, CA exact address 8300 Van Nuys Blvd Panorama City, CA to renew my 2 phone contracts purchased 2 new phones! I ended up purchasing a bundle! It took a while for them to ask me to sign in on wait list so again more waiting. Josue is the specialist that processed my transaction. He provided Poor explanation on the details of the bundle, my daughter & I had to ask him to explain again, and again and again so I finally gave up & ended up agreeing to purchase 2 new phones and got the bundle because I was just annoyed and tired. He left us saying he is going back inside to pick up the phones. He was gone for a while and when I walked closer to see what's taking so long, I see him helping other customers one after another; I saw at least 4 customers he helped before he saw me looking at him. So I went up to him to ask how much longer do we need to wait & that's when he went back inside and came out in minutes with phones! Finally he came with our phones; again tried to explain the bundle. I told him I already have screen protectors and will come back to return old phones for the trade along with my screen protectors if they can help put it. One day I went to drop off the 2 old phones for the trade/get credit. Another day I sent my 2 daughters back to same Verizon location, same staff Josue happened to be there, he refused to help put screen protector saying they were not purchased there so he can't help. What a horrible customer service!!! It would only take 5 mins tops for both phones. Where are the friendly people of Verizon!! I hate to write negative feedback but this location needs help. Now I know why they only had 2 stars Yelp rating; I should have checked before heading there. Employee seem cocky and they need to learn to better explain product/packages clearly so customers don't get confused; draw pictures if they have to!! My daughters ended up going to another phone carrier company's kiosk inside mall nearby; they helped my daughters and it took only 5 mins for both phones. DO NOT GO HERE!! Terrible and shady service. The rep's name was Josue. After a few weeks of opening 5 lines with them, we got our bill and found out he had set us up on the wrong plan and added a mobile protector plan when we did not sign up for it. In addition, we were promised that our activation fee would be credited, but it did not happen. We were overcharged $265 on our bill. We tried several attempts to contact the manager of the store but was constantly left on hold for a long time. Then was told the manager would call us back but never did. This was the most frustrating and upsetting experience ever. Please go elsewhere for your Verizon service. read more

My mom and I went to this Verizon yesterday to renew our contract for my phone. When we walked in, the Solutions Specialist by the name of Ana greeted us and showed us the phones on display. I asked her questions about the different characteristics of each phone and I noticed she couldn't answer the questions directly. For example, I asked "what's the difference between this phone and the other phone" and she didn't really answer my question, she just popped out her own phone and compared the sizes. I proceeded to check the phones out and decided to do my own research of each phone and finally decided on one. I let her know and she directs me to a table while she goes to the back of the store to bring the phone out. When she comes back out, she brings a bunch of stuff that I had no interest in buying. I understand she's a sales person, but when I say "no thank you," I mean no thank you. She kept insisting on adding a watch, a tablet, or a speaker. I declined every time and said I just want the new phone and she gave me a rude look and said "why." The reason why is because it's my money. Later on, she continued to try to sell us new plans and she would give us one price at first and then come up with a whole different price later. At the end of the whole sale, I just paid for the new phone that I wanted. So then she does the transaction and I ask her if she can transfer my contacts from my old phone to my new phone. She says no. In the past, Verizon has always done this for me so I said ok (assuming it might be a new policy) and thanked her for the sale and left. When I got home, I called the 1-800 number for Verizon and the guy on the phone did the entire contact transfer for me and he said that Ana should have done it at the store. Verizon is a great company overall and my family and I have been with them for 13 years. I just had an uncomfortable experience at this specific location. I felt rushed the entire time. Especially because she had another customer waiting who also had a bad experience. He vented to my mom and me that it was his second time returning a phone at the store because it was not working properly. My new phone is working great btw, so I'm glad I don't have to return to that store like that guy. read more

Called today trying to get buy two new iPhone 11 Pros. I was prepared to buy the phones outright and just had a few follow up questions regarding the available plans. The call representative seemed irritated that I had a few basic questions and was rude when I mentioned I was unaware of the application process and that there was a credit check - to clarify, I'm perfectly fine with their process but had not done it before and therefore had some questions. As I've been with Verizon for 15+ years having to now do a application and credit check was just new to me. The call representative intimated that I was lying about not knowing about the process and the hung up on me. It was bizarre and unexpected as I was just trying to buy my new phones. I understand that COVID has affected everyone differently, especially in retail, however customer service and basic decency is easy to maintain even over the phone. Do not even bother visiting this Branch. I had ordered through Verizon iPhone X and it came to me on the first available day, however it came defective. I noticed I the 3rd day that he 3D Touch was not working and didn't responded. So I called Apple and Verizon. They both confirmed that the unit was defective and suggested to return it since it was within 14 day return period. So this location was closest to me and I stopped by to explain and have it returned. But these guys was sooooooo rudddeee and not helpful. While helping me they were also talking to each other about other matters that are not related to me, so instead of focusing to me they were dealing with other stuff and other matters. Never shop at this Verizon location! My daughter's IPhone crapped out and since she had an upgrade waiting she visited this nearby Verizon store looking to upgrade from a 4 to 5S. The sales person lied and misled, even offering up two 'free' Samsung tablets on the account. Of course they weren't free as they had a $32/month charge each. My daughter, nor I, had any use for the tablets and once we figured out the charges they initially refused to take them back. Only pressure from above got them to relent but 2 weeks later and 3 hours on the phone with Verizon I still haven't been able to confirm how much of the various charges associated with the tablets I will get refunded. Myra, the sales person, should be fired. I have to say that the Verizon contact center folks have been great trying to resolve this complicated mess. Myra even changed our plan during the midst of this upgrade without explaining the impacts. If it wasn't for the customer service by phone, who promised to refund all charges for the tablets, I'd be cancelling. read more

I had upgraded from my old phone to an IPhone at the Verizon location at 8300 Van Nuys Blvd. in Panorama City, CA, and needed to have my contacts transferred. The employee helping me said this could not be done from a Samsung to an Apple cell phone. You can imagine my frustration as I have "tons" of contacts. In comes Mauricio and I told him the aforementioned and he said it could be done, and he did it, plus other issues I had and he answered favorably to all of them.
