I have been coming here for years and have always had a great experience. With the iPhone 6 craziness we were I. And out in less than half an hour and My bestie was out quicker than my boyfriend and I. Everyone was always nice and I haven't had any problems with the phones. I will say that it's better to deal with the source than an authorized retailer since they aren't as knowledgable about Verizon plans as they should. If I could give this store zero stars I would. Jason wasn't helpful at all, I'm assuming he wanted to end his shift for the night because of his lack of customer service skills. I was told over the phone that I was eligible for a $200 credit towards any new device. Jason's reply was "it's not stated in your notes from the representative" I asked him if there was a promotion on line or in the store, he said no. I ended up calling the next day and walking into a Verizon corporate store in Burbank. Ryan was so helpful, discussed the differences in phones which Jason didn't, when I asked he said screen size. Wow! Was expecting some of the same service I received at the Baldwin Park Verizon when I got my new iPad (their crew was a bit off and I felt terribly uncomfortable while there) however..... Ts place surprised me. It was big and I was greeted with smiles as came in. The guy who ended up helping me was extremely nice and made my phone purchasing experience rather pleasant and quick. Only part I didn't like about either store was all the up-selling they try to do. It's a bit annoying but aside from that, I recommend this place if you're looking for a phone,et.c. Many issues in activating a replacement iphone 6s. I went to other Verizon store for help initially an honestly it worsened the situation. (I am not tech savvy, need a lot of support to make that clear.) Today was my 4th visit to Verizon, this time I went to the Lake Avenue corporate store. I was greeted by Angel G. He patiently listened to my long story (email not coming through, Insurance requests) which I had tried to take care of myself over several hours, over two days. Within minutes, if that long, the phone was up and running. I love him. So frustrating to be old and not understand at all what to do. I just want the phone to work. Very positive experience. My GF and I went on 09/06/15 to inquire about possible upgrades although we were not due for an upgrade. We were just very unhappy with our Samsung Galaxy phones. We were assisted by Abbas, a very helpful young man. Abbas was able to get us exactly what we wanted, and then some. He was funny, attentive and never did we feel pressured. My husband and I came in to buy a phone. We were instantly greeted by Artin. This is a surprise to us since eye contact is hard to come by at this store unless your name is called on the board. Artin went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations to get our issue resolved. He was more concerned with giving us the help we needed rather than focusing on making a sale. Before I write me reviews I usually like to read what other people say about their experiences at the place I am reviewing. 2-1/2 stars is terrible for a company that boasts about being number one. Before googling this location out of sheer convenience I saw it had terrible reviews and I was prepared to be extremely disappointed. My husband and I are shopping for a new phone company to save some money on our phone bill. He wants us to keep Verizon, I am team T-Mobile. We both currently have Verizon but I regret getting them. We had gone to a different location and it was garbage. They were rude and all we wanted was information on what we would save if we both got on the same plan. We were looking to purchase an iPhone for me too. We left with a bad taste in our mouth and shopped at all the major carriers. We decided that we would stay with Verizon. But we were not going to go to that store. We even thought about purchasing my phone at the Apple Store. We were at the Apple Store in Pasadena and decided not to purchase there since they only had the 128gb option and I wanted the 64gb. We googled the store and that is my back story. For the Review: We walked in and were told the wait would be 15 minutes. Which it was. Our support was provided by Artin. He approached us with a friendly smile and a service oriented attitude. We vented about our terrible experience and asked him to be gentle. He laughed, apologized and promised he would try his best to help us. He was wonderful. He understood what we needed and proceeded to help accordingly. We paid off my current phone to be able to upgrade. Removed my husband's insurance, bought a new phone, connected it, and also purchased a really nice case for my phone. That was all we wanted to do. He even helped us extend our government discount to the case. Bottom line we were very happy and he was very sweet, personable, and friendly. He was really the only person we dealt with and he was great. Also something I admired was his humility in his knowledge, when he didn't have an answer he excused himself to ask. These people are pathological liars. On several occasions i have called, asked if an item was available, went there after 20 minutes and the item was not. When i'm there, some how every item they have, just happens to be the last one... Like really? Verizon is into to the business of cheating people. Beware of their promotions! They always have add on fees and strings attached. My brother and I inquired about a business account last December, we were very closed to moving our account over to them. They even ran our credit but the final bill was so much higher than advertised and their explanation of the added fees did not make sense to us, so we decide not to go with Verizon. We did not purchase phones with Verizon, we did not sign up for any services with Verizon, yet we have a bill from Verizon! Been trying to resolve this matter, been passed around on phone from one person to another SIX times with no one knowing what to do with this bill. read more

LIARS!!!!! Came in knowing exactly what plan I wanted. Tried to make it as easy for the sales person to transition me over. Asked a couple of questions to verify exactly what I needed to pay. Salesman verified exactly what I had expected to pay. Right after I completed the process, "Oh there's going to be a $30 transition fee." I specifically asked if there was going to be a fee for that. Salesman then condescendingly tells me that it's fine because I'm getting a credit for bringing my old phone over. Three days later I'm already getting my first bill. I guess the first months bill is always doubled. I guess at least they are splitting the first month's bill over two bills. Even though I signed up for the auto debit to get the $5 discount, still charging me for the full amount. We will see how long it's going to take for me to get the credit. All my research prior said that Verizon is known for this kind of underhanded practice. I was hoping if I did my research and asked specific questions they would be upfront and honest. This rating is for the customer service I received from the store. The actual transition was pretty easy and so far seamless. The quality of the cell coverage has been good, though not as great as they say they are. If only they were honest and upfront. I was going to transition no matter what and came into the store telling the sales person as. There was no need to hide anything. I wonder how much do they lie when they are on full sales mode. Update: went in and got my transition fee refunded. The manager was quite nice though not terribly apologetic. I'll give them an additional star for that. read more

Not sure why all the bad reviews here, but this Verizon store is always very helpful whenever I have an issue with my phone. They've help me replace SIM cards, reprogram my phone, etc. I've never had to wait long to get help and am always out of there quickly. read more

I came in this morning to Verizon hoping that I could get help with a couple problems I was having with my phone. Colm Macnab helped me and whenever I was trying to explain what was going on he was very focused on what I was saying. He was very patient and understanding. After helping me fix my phone problems he even helped me transfer my pictures, messages, emails, etc to my new phone! If I have any problems or if my family has any problems I will definitely come back to have him help me or tell them to go with him too. Thank you for being so nice ! read more

What an interesting turn of events ! Sales rep Abby from Pasadena was able to get our grandma on her first texting phone !!! Grandma always had a crappy old flip phone and it was time to upgrade. Despite the heavy traffic, he spent time with her while she tried several options going back and forth to the stock room. Knowledgable, Friendly & patient goes a long way. if you are looking for a 5-star service, ask for him by name. Most important, Grandma finally managed to love to her text keypad despite her used to calling it "Useless new age technology" .. and now we get to chat constantly !! thanks to Abby and Verizon !! I give them one star just because they had the door open! This place is a hell-hole to be quite honest. The staff don't even bother to make customers feel welcome. You can stand around waiting for assistance for hours before they even approach you. They talk to each other, they have fun as they own the place! I found that you have to be very aggressive as a customer and seek them out yourself...hope you brought your war helm! Once you finally find someone to help you, the staff are not making any effort to be nice, and you will notice that customer service is not their priority. I had one of the employees basically admit that because Verizon has been doing very well this year, they don't have to work as hard to attract customers. ??? Really!!! WOW! I love Verizon service (having come from T-Mobile) but I don't like the attitude these employees have. For the money I pay for the service I expect to be treated as a real customer: I will take my business to the competitor. I needed a global team service and since he was not making any money with me selling a new service he dismissed me in 3 seconds. I am not kidding! So I left, I got home and I order on line what I need it from the competitor. LOL. I really cannot believe how desperate these people are to earn commission on sales. Went to the Verizon store on Lake ave because I was having a hard time at another location getting an IPhone 8. The store specialist, Andres, could not be more helpful with my purchase in-store that day. I was in and out within 15 mins. He helped me choose the lifeproof case I needed and a new wireless charger I heard about. He also gave me a discount on that as well. He did offer to help me transfer everything but everything was saved on iCloud that was no biggie. He still gave me his biz card and a help sheet in case I got stuck somewhere and needed support. I use to come here but with the wait times being long, I stopped for a long time. Now, wait times are less than 2 mins!!! Perfect!! Thanks Verizon in Pasadena. She was patient and very thorough in explaining phone plans, options and setting expectations. We need more individuals who are so dedicated and customer service focused. Okay I used to hate going here to get upgrades, but my phone broke and I needed a new one. I was going to pay full retail price, but they let me upgrade early! The reps and managers work with you to give you a great experience! So I thought it may have been a fluke, and guess what? My mom lost her phone 4 months later, and I took her here. And then guess what??? They upgraded her early AND gave us a tablet. I was like WHAT!? I didn't know why I hated coming here. If you need an early upgrade, come here first. I can't guarantee anything, but they really work to gain your business. Parking is free in the huge lot behind the store. read more

I recently came to this Verizon store because I was having issues with my phone & honestly had the best service. Someone greated me as soon as I walked through the door and helped me right away. The manager, Ray, listened to the issues I was having with my phone and my Verizon account and did his absolute best to fix the problem. He even took over and solved the issue himself. I even noticed they remodeled, the space is much more open and relaxing. It does not feel crowded at all. Will definitely come back to this location if I have any more issues! read more

Things got off to what I thought was a promising start. Our S8 took forever to charge so the tech support at Verizon asked us to go into the corporate store to see if it was a phone problem or a charger problem. Verizon even sent us a refurbished S8 to narrow down the problem. After about 45 minutes in the store, the rep tells us that he had no explanation. He claims that he tried multiple chargers on both our existing phone and the refurbished phone and they were both showing 2 hours to go from about 75% to 100%. Therefore, the speed charge feature on both phones were not working and he had no answer since "multiple chargers" were already tried. This is where the low rating comes in. He said that there is a Samsung vendor at Best Buy and asked us to drive there to see what they can do. This seemed reasonable to me since we had exhausted all of Verizon's suggestions. Driving 30 mins in L.A. traffic to the closest Best Buy, we finally get to the Samsung booth. Samsung said that Verizon was always sending them customers who had Samsung problems even though the store could take care of it themselves. Sure enough, the Samsung guys showed me that it was just the USB portion of the charger that was defective and the speed charge came back for the S8. Now Samsung is saying that I had to go back to Verizon to get the replacement USB cord. Driving another 30 mins back to Verizon, I asked to speak with the original sales rep or manager. The original rep was busy, understandable, so someone else helped me. I explained to him what happened and he said that they could sell me a charger for $20.00. When I said that my phone is only 3 months old and that I shouldn't have to pay for the cord, he said that the cord is not under warranty, only the phone. Finally, I asked to speak to the manger and explained to him what happened. Because the manager did finally agree to replace my charging cord is the only reason I'm giving the store two stars. However, during my conversation with the manager, I hear the rep that wanted $20.00 tell another Samsung customer to drive to Best Buy for their problem. Seems like they just want to pass the puck. I feel like that unless the reps were making a commission, don't expect to get good service. Too bad it's one of the only corporate stores close to me. read more

Don't bother. Call it in. As we walked into this store, I told my son to be patient, that this store hasn't had good service for at least 15 years. We go in, check in, and a few minutes later, a salesman named Chau comes to help us. We tell him we want to buy a phone. He goes to see if they have it. About 5 minutes go by, then I see him come out and start talking to a mom and her son. She tells him what they want, and off he goes to help, and I'm thinking...what? Wasn't he helping us? Another 10 minutes or so goes by...I'm getting annoyed, trying to make eye contact with him, then he walks past us on the way to the stock room and I say "So, did you have that phone?" And he said "what phone was that?" I explained, he came to realize that he mixed us, a mother and son, with another mother and son, goes to check and of course no, they don't have it in stock. Now, he made a mistake. It was a stupid mistake and it showed he paid VERY little attention to who he was helping, but I could see how it could happen. What made me write this review is that we went in the store, wasted our time, and they STILL did not have what we came for, but then when he discovered they were out I got the same response I got when he realized his mistake: an explanation. What is wrong with the words I AM SORRY? How hard is it to say, "I'm sorry, I got mixed up"? or "I'm sorry, we are out of stock." That makes a world of difference in the way a customer feels. Bottom line: I called on the way home and am having it sent to my house. I hoped we could go in and pick it up, but I've felt my time was wasted at 90% of my visits to this store over the last 15 years. read more

I am absolutely baffled by the balls of some of the people in this place. I walk in this morning so they can assist me on uploading my AT&T bill so I can "take advantage" of the so called promotion they have going on. As I am coming close to the deadline to get this submitted I called the store and spoke to a gentleman who assured me that I had until the end of this month to do the upload. When I got there I am bitterly greeted by some girl (the fat one not the skinny one) and first she tells me I need a PDF copy of my bill which I have in my phone and then she tells me that if I want them to do the upload on my behalf I need to bring in the physical bill. Before I leave to go get the physical bill I asked her to confirm that I had until the end of the month to do this and she tells me that she doesn't see any notes in my account and that I need to call customer service, so I'm not sure what the purpose of this woman is. She doesn't want to help with anything and she is not even good eye candy. She then has the audacity to tell me that I DIDNT speak to someone at that store, when I can clearly see what number was dialed from my phone. A few moments later I RE-DIALED the number I had called to get the same guy on the phone, and alas this useless stupid woman answers the phone, attempting to trick my intelligence telling that the number I called is not the right number. I have a smart phone & I know how to redial, I guess my phone has a mind of its own and it's apparently smarter than this idiot. Go have another cheese burger please, looks like that is all you are good for. read more

Believe it or not folks I actually had a very positive experience at this Verizon. I had a billing issue stemming from when I attempted to add my girlfriend to my account. I happen to do this when there was a meet and greet with "Far East Movement", a very chaotic time in the store. I went back on 11/9/11 and a young lady (forgot her name sorry) and Carlos helped me very promptly. Fixed the issue in a timely and efficient manner. I'm pretty sure with the volume of customers that visit this store people don't usually receive good CS, but I have to give credit where credit is due. -Thanks read more

Did an upgrade and walked out of there with my old phone and the new $1,100 phone and neither of them operable. They stopped the old phone without telling me that I have to do an hour of signing in to my new phone while I was having an emergency situation. Here I was with 2 phones and neither of them working! Bunch of idiots running the place with a security guard. No wonder they need a guard.. it's because of all the angry and frustrated customers! I have been with Verizon for over 20 years. This visit has been my worst experience ever. My iPhone wasn't working properly so I called 611 for help, they told me the corporate office in Pasadena is open with appointments only, and that they would be able to help me fix my phone, if not, I can get a new phone. I arrived 1pm sharp, Evelyn greeted me, told me no service on phones, can't buy a phone without online purchase first. Would not let me in the store, told me I need to upgrade to 5 g connection in order to order the new Samsung s20. I had to go back to my car and call 611 again, after trying to order the phone, Evelyn came out and told me she was wrong, I didn't need to upgrade my service to get the phone, her attitude from the beginning was not kind, not willing to help in any way, super rude. I told her I was done talking to her and ask for the manager. The manager never came out to let me know he's ready to talk to me, I had to go into the store and he was not pleasant or apologetic for his staff, he did help me get my phone but insisted evelyn did nothing wrong and that its all 611's fault. Evelyn never apologize to me for her rude attitude and her lack of knowledge, she made me felt super unwelcome at that store. I will never go back to that store, they are both super young with no people skills. read more

Longtime Verizon customer, but this was the first "100% trouble free" experience I have ever had. Lawson was amazing (transparent during the buying process, easy to work with and knowledgeable). No wait time (Thursday afternoon) and parking is easy. While I was buying a new iPhone, people came and went and were all met with help right away and left quickly with resolved issues. If you live close by, make this your go to Verizon store and if you are out of Pasadena...it's more than worth the drive. read more

I am a person who HATES going in to the Verizon store, and I have been a customer since my very first cell phone, a hundred years ago. I have been ripped off at the Glendale Galleria Verizon store twice (I know) and been given erroneous information at the Hollywood store. I have tried a couple of other locations and always feel similar - like I was on a used car lot. Came to Lake Ave, met Sean, and my fears and concerns were quelled. Besides getting me set up with an iPhone, he asked where I worked and found out I was eligible for an 18% discount. What??! Go to Lake Ave, ask for Sean, and relax. It will be alright. read more

CONSUMER BE AWARE!!! I always pride myself for being a savvy consumer, especially since I've been with Verizon for almost 10 years, I thought I could trust their corporate store on Lake Ave. I was WRONG! The sales rep named Cesar was very friendly in helping me picked out a Samsung phone and told me that it was on a promotion for half the price. So I happily purchased the phone at $5/month charge even though the listing price was $10/month. I called Verizon a month later to see if they can waive my activation fee which they complied. It was then that I found out that (a) they have snuck in a phone insurance into my monthly bill without my consent and (b) the discounted price was a lie, it was $10/month for 24 months - which means I signed a contract to be overcharged by $120 total!!! I was stunned when I was told the truth over the phone by the service rep. They said that there was no promotion. How could this happen? How can someone lie with open eyes in the broad day light? Well, Cesar in Lake Verizon store apparently pulled it off effortlessly! From the other yelp reviews - they seem to be pro's at doing this! (should have checked yelp) I must make this known through Yelp so other customers won't fall victim to this store in the future. Advise - avoid this store altogether! If you must shop with them, then get everything in writing (in paper specifically) and have them itemize each charge for you BEFORE you pay anything! Cesar told me he couldn't show me the itemized bill because it has to be processed by the back office - that's just not truth. They absolutely can! It's the law! We need to protect ourselves.
