The guy who was helping me was incredibly slow and condescending. I was there to switch out my old phone for a new one and it took over 45 minutes. After I chose my new phone, he literally rips the package open and takes it out the box. He claimed he needed to be the one to set it up, which is completely wrong. It's so easy to set up a phone, he acting like I was some grandma. Then he rips open the case without even asking me, puts his dirty hands all over the new screen trying to fit the case on... he said something along the lines of "this is the best part" while opening MY BRAND NEW PHONE. At the end I'm ready to pay, he goes "Your all set up with the monthly payments". I was like No I want to pay now, he goes "sorry I already did everything" then just takes a phone call and leaves. Would give zero stars if I could. The employees here are completely misleading and borderline fraudulent. When upgrading an old phone, they told my family that we were getting a free ipad (or apple watch) with no strings attached. After tons of questions about it to make sure there weren't any additional costs, they said it even makes the international plan better for no cost too. The first bill comes around and the free ipad is tied to a data plan/new phone number and 36 month plan. After hours on the phone with corporate verizon, corporate is correcting all of this and do not know why this store and employee mislead us with a promotion that didn't exist. The employee's name is Kyle who initially helped. When we had to go back to return the old phone, we mentioned to another associate that we were frustrated with this miscommunication and they double downed and said this was all disclosed since that's their training program and implied we were stupid for thinking we would get a free ipad. This was a totally different employee who just jumped down our throats without even asking the associate who initially helped sell all of this. He also got mad at us for not accessing a multi factor authentication code within 60 seconds because we had to power up a device to do so. Just all around completely unprofessional experience. The most arrogant, condescending and rude people work here. They lock the doors before 7 after saying they will be waiting for your arrival (they close at 7 and I got there around 6:50 to the doors locked) when I knocked, I was ignored. I've had nothing but issues with Verizon since signing up for their service. I would've gladly saved my uber money and waited had I known they would lie and not let me in. ***Please head to Mercer Mall for the company-owned Verizon store, and avoid this franchise store. Service will be better at any company-owned store. You'll get much better deals, and they won't add extraneous charges to your monthly bill. Read some of the negative reviews here and on Google, and you'll realize that most of the positive cookie-cutter 1-2 sentence reviews were forced upon by the salespeople onto the customers. The salespeople make their customers click 5 starts and instruct them to copy a specific line into their reviews and do it in front of them. If I could give this store zero stars, I would. I went in to upgrade my phone three years ago. The store gave my iPhone 8 Pro Max $400 trade-in value and slapped a $20/month insurance plan on to it even though I specifically told the salesperson, Jacob Fryland, that I didn't not want any insurance. By the way, Verizon Customer Service told me over the phone who the salesperson was after I made a complaint. My husband and I have been Verizon customers since 2001, so we trusted Verizon not to add any extraneous services. Fast forward two years later, when I discovered the $20/month charge that I had been paying, I went back to the store and disputed this. The store manager's attitude was one of total nonchalance, saying he was willing to do nothing, that it was entirely my fault for not checking my bill. I was getting ready to transfer my number to T-Mobile when a friend told me about this trick to always go to a company-owned store. I did, to the one at Mercer Mall. After hearing my story, they ended up giving me and my husband two free iPhones of the latest model along with a heavily discounted iWatch that my son needed; they also gave me three months of credit for the insurance plan I explicitly rejected. I checked my bill for two cycles after the phone upgrade. No extraneous charges whatsoever. What a day and night difference! I later heard from the same friend that it's an open secret that franchised phone stores like to add on unnecessary monthly charges and push accessory sales for revenue. After all, to a franchise / third-party owned Verizon store, the one-time sales they get are more important than keeping you as a happy customer on the Verizon network long-term. Don't be fooled by all the positive reviews. This store can be very friendly when you're purchasing a phone, but dishonest to the core!!! read more

Verizon has predictably begun their fusillade of texts and emails announcing the imminent arrival of "5G" suggesting I should smash my current device as I rush down to load up on the best and brightest technology that fifteen Benjamins can buy. Oh I know I can keep my current phone (for the time being before they stop supporting 4G and literally force me to upgrade) but the daily barrage of "don't be a luddite and a loser clinging to outmoded tech" messaging has only just begun along with a tsunami of advertising that will only reinforce the notion of my impending obsolescence. So, two stars for Verizon service that is better than good most of the time and bupkis for trying to turn me into a phone zombie and fetishist who sleepwalks every ten months to the Apple Store for my latest dumb phone fix whether I want it or not. Costumer service at this location was very rude. The employee who gave me my pick up items was not helpful. I asked him how would I find my account PIN to pick up my order and he made unhelpful remarks such as "Only you would know it" or "You had to make one when you opened your account" and did not show me how to change it or view it. The email I received explained what I needed for the pick up and an account PIN was not listed but he said the PIN is required for every pick up. That's not true at all locations and I stated this however he made another off handed remark saying "I know how these things work". I'm never coming to this location again and would not recommend if you want quality service. read more

I am so grateful for the honesty & customer service I experienced recently at this store, looking to start a new line. I asked about doing so with a new number and she explained all the deals, free phone options, pricing, etc. Then, despite knowing that she wouldn't get the commission, (which I wanted her to get because she has such marvelous customer service and I have always had a good experience) the dear saleswoman was able to suggest to me a way to transfer my number to a separate line. She is VERY caring, helpful, kind and humane and I was grateful for her honesty. read more

Truly obnoxious "customer service" rep. Acted like a slightly overgrown teenager on speed. I went in asking for a new sim card, to see if it might help with the poor signal strength I've been getting since Verizon upgraded its towers to 5G. He told me he would have to charge me $20 for a new sim. This is not Verizon policy, as confirmed by online rep, as well as by the ability to request a free sim online. Then he disdainfully told me that I couldn't expect good signal strength since I hadn't upgraded to the 5g ultra wideband plan, "for only ten dollars more." Which is BS, as ultra wideband, while faster, actually has less range, and isn't even available in much of the central NJ area in which that store is located. His demeanor throughout the encounter was disdainful, dismissive, and obnoxious. I left the store pretty much determined to switch carriers. About the worst representative the company could hope for. read more

Do not buy anything from this Verizon Store. They sold me a defective i watch for $530 and will not return, replace or repair the item.

When I think of the worst customer service, this is the number one place that comes to mind. THE WORST! Not only did I wait in line for over an hour, with only one other custoer in the store, (they kept saying they would get to me), one of the two staff members was more idling around. Seemed he was playing games on his phone vs. asking if he could help me or acknowlege me. When the other one got to me, he said he could not help and that I would have to go to another location (my phone simply was not holding charge any longer). They were rude and unapologetic...it was a BAD EXPEREINCE and WASTE of a Saturday... When I took the phone to the Princeton location off Route 1, completely different service and expereince...was greeted and within fifiteen minutes, my phone was being serviced and solution found...and this was while they were swamped with people milling around the whole store...how good they were made the previous expereince even WORSE! read more

When it comes to customer service, of course it is going to be based on the individual working at the time and not necessarily the store in general. That being said i recently stopped to have a new phone transferred which the Bridgewater Store royally screwed up. Dan was the customer service rep working that day when I got in at 11 AM and he was very knowledgeable and friendly and patient while working for four hours fixing what was initially messed up with my new phone. While doing this he also had to simultaneously attend to other customers in the store as he was the only person working at that time - he maintained a professional and helpful demeanor through numerous customers - some with short tempers, others with small children, etc. The bonus was he was capable and able to get stuff done and that's the bottom line. Really the five stars are for Dan. However, the store was very neat, clean, and they were running a promo with free book bags for kids sort of an educational give away which was nice. read more

Very, very disappointed. I have been Verizon customer for only a few months. MetroPCS would have treated me better in this dilemma. This is the first time I dealt with this store and will definitely be my LAST. I did not know it was not corporate but privately owned. Corporate does not have any guarantees or warranties about any of the products or services that this location sale. This location have their own set of rules and they can change them whenever and however they want. For example, they sold me a tempered glass screen protector that did not fit my size cellphone correctly for $42.65 with a "warranty" that if it breaks I can replace it for only $10.00. But not a full refund and without stating that it will take days for the replacement screen protector. Therefore, my expensive Galaxy 8s is unprotected for days. Secondly, the associates didn't enter this sale into the system, so Corporate Verizon cannot help me. Thirdly, when I called corporate to complain, Steven the representative, made this matter seem like it was my fault for not going to a "corporate" store. How am I supposed to know if a store is corporate or not when the sign states "Verizon" and the guy can look up my Verizon information in the system? Lastly, this area is inundated with seniors and I think they prey on the fact that we do not understand these new technologies. Very disappointed. I have been Verizon customer for over 20 years. This is a 1st time I dealt with this store last year. Didn't know it was not corporate but privately owned and don't have to follow some of their rules. For example, they sold me phone and the insurance plan, even though there was already a plan in my account. Then, they wouldn't replace accessories under warranty because one of the associates didn't enter it into the system originally. When I went to another store (corporate) I wasn't able to get assistance since the origination was at non-corporate store. Went to get an accessory there today and they sold my wife incorrect case. Won't go back there for any future purchases. read more

I never had a bad experience going to this Verizon store. The sales people are always so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. They have always been honest with all the charges and never tried to sell me on something I didn't need like the cooperate stores do. I would recommend going to this store instead of the cooperate stores because they are not liars and will actually help you set up your new phone.
