So I found Cyber Dish online and gave them a call to come out and troubleshoot the problem. Chris came out, charged me $200, added an amplifier and moved the antenna around a bit in my attic (didn't actually mount the antenna, just laid it down against something, so it was pointing the desired direction). The signal strength seemed to be good on all of the channels, so I let him go. Then, just a couple of hours later, I started losing several of the channels again. It's arguably worse now than it was. This is all very intermittent. Sometimes they all come in clear, sometimes several go out. And of course, it's worse with the weather is bad. I also see that there is foil backed plywood all through the attic, and everything I read says that this is a huge blocker of digital signals. I reached back out to CyberDish, indicating that i was still seeing reception issues and voiced my concern about the foil backed plywood in the attic. I called Chris today and voiced my concerns. He gave me several things to try to troubleshoot the problem. All good things to try, but all along I'm thinking why after paying $200 is it my responsibility to troubleshoot this stuff. When I brought this point up on the call, that's when things went South. Instead of Chris just offering to come back out and make this right, it just turned into an argument. At one point, he said that it was working when he left. Seriously? He also said that the antenna could be faulty, as if to say that's not his responsibility. And let's see, he said that he's never had this issue with anyone else. OK, what's the point? I'll be happy to give Chris/CyberDish one more chance to make this right, and once this is working as it should, I'll be happy to alter my review. But as it stands, I cannot be more dissatisfied with not only the service, but also the follow-up.

We signed an agreement for bundled service at a set price that we were very happy with. Wow did the nightmares start after that. DO NOT TRUST what they have you sign. Ours turned out to be useless. He didn't run anything through correctly, ATT&T depts don't let you email what you signed, they just tell you what they can see on their end. We spent no less than 10 hours on the phone over 2 weeks with dept after dept in a bureaucratic mess. I felt bad for the call center people who tried very hard but are stuck with what they are allowed to do even when they try to fix it and understand the ridiculousness of what happened. They said it's an issue with these neighborhood sales. You are taking a bet that any of it will actually stick. The useless contract you sign doesn't seem to go beyond their tablets. They either have to enter the deals they promised you later or you will just get a zero discounted, way more than whatever company you gave up, crazy bill. And then another and another in a short time. I am looking clearly at exactly what we signed but no one can do anything about it. And they do not accept emails. Minimum 2 hours at a time on the phone. Almost every day. Told repeatedly it's being escalated. Only to start over with the next agent/higher dept. Never fixed. No accountability. Ghosted by the manager who only left us with a girl he was training's number. She (Areli) seemed sweet but stopped responding when I said the department I was talking to was asking for his full name and contact information so they could clear this up. He clearly told her not to give it. Left decades with Verizon for this absolute nightmare that we still can't get out of.

I'm writing a glowing review concerning the Spectrum Field Technician, Jamie Emmons. Back on April…read more3rd, my wife and I it felt that Mr. Emmons went above and beyond his scope of procedural tasks to make sure that we were pleased with the newly internet configuration for our new residence. Unfortunately, due to the topographic location of our new residence, we get zero cell/phone service through Spectrum Mobile. Hint's is why I requested that a Spectrum Tech come out to test/look over our service to increase our WIFI signal (WIFI calling) and to also confirm that the WIFI Spectrum Pod was properly installed, as the previous tech (Mr. Sergiy) failed to do so. Also, noteworthy to add is that the previous Spectrum Tech., (a Mr. Sergiy) who internally installed our internet in our new residence a couple days prior (April 1st) did a basic (not a good job). Yes, he hooked up the WIFI router and modem into our Smart Panel which is located in the back of our master bedroom closet, of course this diminishes our WIFI signal significantly (poor line of sight). However, since I was aware of Spectrum Mobile's zero/no signal (no 5G or even no LTE serve) before taking occupancy into our residence, I had requested that the initial Tech (Mr. Sergiy) brings out a Spectrum WIFI Pod (internet booster) to be installed during this initial installation. But this didn't happen. Let me elaborate on this. Once Mr. Sergiy initial installed the (poor WIFI signal) internet service, he handed me the Spectrum Pod while still packaged inside the box and left our residence. I called this the "hot potatoe" effect. Failing to install this device, just handing it over to me, forcing me to take action to make sure I installed it correctly. Hint's the reason why I had to request that another Spectrum Tech, Mr. Emmons had to come out to test our internet setup. During this call he (Mr. Emmons) relocated our WIFI Router in our living room and then installed the Pod upstairs. After this, it's appeared that our internet WIFI signal has doubled. Mr. Emmons also gave us his personal cell phone, so we could reach out to him concerning any further questions concerning this WIFI issue. We just wanted to say "Thank you" very much Mr. Emmons. Your initiative, drive and savvy technical background in this field is remarkable. I can see why Spectrum Management had identified him (Mr. Emmons) a Field Training Officer (FTO) also, as he had a new hire with him (shadow). Here's an ironic and hilarious thing to mention... Because our Spectrum Mobile Plan doesn't work here (residence), Mr. Emmons requested to login into our WIFI settings with his cellular device, so he could close out the work ticket. "Hilarious!" Unfortunately, we have no choice but to drop Spectrum Mobile as they cannot resolve their mobile service to us, forcing us to go with another provider.

He told me to check in after I shared that I was there to return the router in my hand. I waited 30-35 minutes before getting called up. The worker asked me what brought me in and I repeat what I shared with the worker who greeted me at the door. However, this worker told me that the Spectrum store no longer accepts return equipment. UPS and some FedEx's take the equipment you want to return now. I'm pretty sure I made a face and a visible body jerk like I had been punched lol. After seeing my reaction, she added that she would go ahead and take care of it and she did which I appreciated. If I could offer a suggestion to the store though, it would be to make sure all employees know about the latest changes. Had the first worker told me that at the door, I could have google'd the nearest UPS and not waited.

I initially wanted to transfer to a North Carolina location but was told I could not because I had not been employed with the company for a full year. After resigning, I was then informed that I had to wait three months before I could reapply. I followed those instructions and reapplied once I became eligible. Unfortunately, the process only became more confusing from there. After completing an interview, I was told I was not selected for the position. Then, sometime later, I was contacted again regarding the exact same position and asked to go through an entirely new interview process. Throughout the process, communication was inconsistent, and I often felt like I was getting conflicting information from different people. What should have been a straightforward transfer or rehire process turned into months of delays, mixed messages, and unnecessary complications. I invested a significant amount of time and effort only to be met with confusion and a lack of clear communication. Based on my experience, Spectrum's hiring and internal mobility processes need major improvement.
