Lolly helped me and knew who to call and when we hit a road block, she knew another angle of attack to get my account fixed. Where do I start? 611 told me to return something to this location and made notes in our account. This was after over 2 hours on the phone with 611 the day before. Notes were left on our account and it should have been an easy return. 30 mins later in the store the manager Yesenia said they couldn't take the return. So what do I do? Call 611 again, talked to a rep and she asked me to give her my phone and she will just tell the manager to give me a return mailer and I could get this done. Would Give Verizon ZERO stars, if possible. I was (WAS) a customer for over 20 years. Verizon has gotten well over $30,000 dollars from me over the last 20 years, by my calculations. Last Friday (3/5/17), I went into this store, and talked to a representative. I explained that both my phone and my son's phones were up for replacement and my Wife's phone would be available for update withing 6 months. I explained that my bill had become bloated, and data plan outdated. I asked him if there was anything that he could do to help lower my bill and get me to a better data plan.The rep told me, basically... "Good Luck with that," walked over to a terminal and got me my account and pin number and told me to go shop around. By far the WORST experience with Verizon EVER EVER EVER. I have been with Verizon since having a cell phone and have tried multiple times at this location. The employee's are unhelpful and just want you to upgrade. ie: A. I went in with my brand new Voyager. I had just gotten it and it had barley made it on the shelves. (I called in to customer service and had them send me one) Anyways, so I took it down there to have it activated. The guy told me something was wrong with it and I had to return it to him right away. I would have believed him...BUT...he didn't even open up the box to see the phone first. What an idiot. Turns out his "buddy" wanted the phone and was waiting for someone to return it so he could give or sell to him. Whatever. B. Sooooo...I later upgraded to the Pearl and had lost my car charger. My friends and I were in the area at Sports Chalet (great place) anyways so regardless of what happened before, I thought I would stop in just to buy the charger. When telling the guy what I wanted he tried to sell me the Blackberry Curve. I told him I had the chance to buy the curve and I was very happy with my Pearl. He said I made a mistake buying the Pearl and I should exchange. I asked to speak to his manager. He said he was the manager. I called the next day to corporate and had him written up. C. My mother is not very electronic savvy. When she has an issue with electronics she normally comes to me. Well she was shopping one day and couldn't call on her phone, so she went into Verizon on Blossom Hill, used their phone to call me and I met her down there. By the time i got there, the guy had her wrapped around his finger. She was convinced she needed all this computer software with 3 different chargers for a PDA phone. I then brought my mother over the phones with the BIG numbers, easy to read screens and easy to work phones. She ended up buying a practical LG. and due to upgrades, had to pay nothing. If she didn't call me, she would have walked out of there paying a fortune. My experiences have been less the perfect as you can see. read more

We recently decided that it was time to give my teenage daughter a mobile phone. We knew what we wanted and we've been with Verizon for years. We thought that it would be as simple as buying the phone at the store and adding her to our plan. It took TWO hours to add our daughter to our plan. We were told that our plan had expired and wasn't offered any longer and that to add her to our plan would mean that my rates would go up for my wife and I. We were offered several upgrade options, all of which meant that we would be spending significantly more dollars. I finally found the words though that changed the entire discussion: THANKS, BUT I'M GOING TO GO TALK TO T-MOBILE AND BUY MY DAUGHTER HER OWN PLAN. Like Moses parting the Red Sea (or red tape in this case) those magic words suddenly created a whole new path and a "customer retention plan" for which I was rewarded exactly with what I had asked for in the first place. The woman helping us was completely embarrassed that she was suddenly able to help us with our initial request. I understand that companies want to make money, but maybe if they'd simply show a little real loyalty to long-term customers, they'd be surprised at the loyalty they'd get in return. read more

First of all, I very rarely give 1 star reviews. This is by far the worst Verizon I've ever been to. My mother called in and spoke with Manny. She asked if the iPhone 6s in rose gold and 64gb was available and he said yes. She repeated her question and asked if he could confirm he had it in the inventory and he said "Don't worry, we have plenty." With that, my mother and I canceled our other obligation to run over to Verizon ASAP. We showed up less than 30 minutes later, spoke to a sales representative, and as soon as we asked for the phone, he smirked and said they didn't have it. I haven't been to this location in quite some time until Saturday, Nov. 10th, at around 3 pm or so. The few times I have been to this location in the past, I've experienced great customer service. Not this time though. I had the unfortunate opportunity to briefly interact with the store manager. He was extremely rude and condescending, basically calling me a liar to my face when I told him I've gotten early phone upgrades in the past was interested in upgrading a week early. The tone in his voice, the attitude in his body language, and his determination to prove me wrong, are the most unprofessional qualities I have every experienced in a manager. I visited this Verizon store last night 10/23. The hubby was ready to upgrade to the new iPhone 5s. When we entered, we were approached by a reluctant, unfriendly greeter: "Hello, why are you here today?" Me: "We're interested in the new iPhone." Her: "Well there are 3 people ahead of you, do you want to give us your name now to be helped?" Me: (WTF? We need to sign up for help?!) "We're going to take a look then let you know." We were ready in about 10 mins. Hubby gave the lady our name. 20 mins. passed and still no sign of help. None of the three sales people acknowledged us while we waited. I knew we should have left soon as Ms. Sourpuss approached us. The staff here lacks diversity if you get my drift. Another 15 mins. passed and we decided to walk out. NO ONE cared! It was like we were never there. We came to this store because it's the closest Verizon store to Oakridge Mall where we ran an errand. We're rarely in this neck of the woods. Our experience was pure disappointment. We will never come back here. This place has poor customer service. What a turn off. We had a positive experience at the Verizon store on the El Camino in Santa Clara 3 years ago when we got our first iPhone. We will go back to the El Camino location at our next opportunity. All I needed was a SIM card. I didn't need any help with set up or activation. According to the Verizon customer service online representative, it should be a quick stop to the store and no appointment or waiting is needed. Stopped by the store with my kids expecting to pop in and out. 45 min later....we're still waiting along with several other people while there were multiple employees who did not appear to be helping anybody. One epic toddler tantrum later with all the waiting, we left without the SIM card. Called the Verizon customer service line and they will overnight the SIM card. Verizon is the best mobile phone carrier out there... and I've never been less than satisfied with its over-the-phone customer service. But this particular store's customer service has inspired me to write a review. My initial upgrade experience was fine - the usual attempts to upsell me on services and accessories, but I understand that's the nature of the commission-based sales beast. But less than a month into my new purchase (a LG EnV Touch) the screen started acting up, so I decided to take it back and exchange it. The young woman that was helping me was REALLY reluctant to let me trade in for an LG Chocolate Touch (a cheaper phone), even though I was under my 30-day warranty. I told her over and over again that I was unsatisfied with the phone and that I wasn't willing to deal with it for two years or pay $50 to keep replacing it. Instead of listening to me, she kept telling me that I already had the better phone, or that the just needed to update the software, or a whole myriad of other lame excuses. I stuck to my guns, and she finally went to the back to get my new phone. And that's when things started going downhill. First - her register didn't work. Instead of bringing me to another register, she crawled underneath and starts fiddling with the wires, though she clearly didn't know what she was doing.... needless to say, none of her ministrations worked. After taking my new phone out of the box, she spent ages trying to assemble it - several minutes each trying to get the back cover on, put the new case on, and turn the damn thing on. Except that it didn't turn on. Because she forgot the battery. By now, the whole process has been incredibly tiring, but I continued to watch in silent fascination as she subsequently spent another lengthy amount of time trying replace the back cover (she had it the wrong way but, for some unknown reason, was trying to force it on). She spent another 10 minutes trying to put the case back on until I stopped her and told her I'd do it later. I probably should have said something earlier, but I was honestly too stunned by this amazing display of incompetence. I should mention that during the whole time she was struggling with the phone, she was chatting to her neighbor... and didn't apologize once for the amount of time she wasted. Then when you call in to get it corrected they put you through the run around and say of I have pushed your refund up the ladder but I am getting resistance lol what bullshit. They have no clue about how customer service should be. My girlfriend and I upgraded our phones on our parents plans then signed up for our own plan with our new phones.. Some reason the slapped us with a single upgrade fee.. Makes no sense when we already upgraded. Then they would not reverse the $30 charge.. I entered the store around 8:02 pm to get an update fix for my verizon glyde phone and looked around for a quick minute to see if there were any available workers to help me. I found him pretty quickly and I told him what I needed. He looked at the time and told me that he wouldn't be able to do the update for me that night. uhhhh...what the hell?? I asked him why not and he told me "From 8 onwards, we don't do updates for phones." The store closes at 9, so I thought, "wtf? you have a whole hour and you can't do an update for my phone?" I asked him why again and he said "it may take up to an hour, depending on your phone and depending on our computers." I've been going to this location for many years as a happy customer without much of a fuss. Last week I came this location but they were unable to assist me because they are not taking walk-ins and only by appointments because of Covid. I saw about 4-5 employees (not including the lady that came outside to greet) sitting around with not many customers within the store. Okay I can understand the Covid and safety situations. So I've made an appointment at 11am another day. Within an hour before the appointment (Blake) a rep called me to tell me none of the employees showed up to work and that the store will be closed. Do they only have 1 employee working there now all of a sudden? It's an inconvenience because now I have to reschedule another appointment and waste more of my time because of a bogus reason. Customer service is the most important thing in a business to keep customer's satisfaction a success, but it's looking like this location has gone downhill from it now. read more

One of my worst experiences, and I came from AT&T so I thought no one could be more incompetent than that. Phil sold me an iPhone without asking what size I wanted. Me, I buy a phone roughly every two years, so it didn't occur to me that when I said "I want one just like this old one" a professional would instead sell me one with half the storage. Then when I came back the next day (I couldn't go back, since I was there right before they closed), they charged me an $80 restocking fee. Even though I wasn't the one who opened it! Then they charged me for insurance. I agreed to it since I was assured I could pretty much run over the car and it would be honored. I went to cash in on the insurance when my phone was inexplicably damaged, and they wouldn't honor it. Now I get to dispute 18 months of charges with my credit card for their fraudulent transaction. The phone portion barely works. Now I sign everything "F U V" so that when I sign my credit card statements, that's my legal signature. I can't wait to get out of this contract and switch to Credo or Boost or Cricket or Sprint or anyone but Verizon. read more

I came into the store to get a SIM card that I ordered online when I switched over to Verizon. I was checked in and had to wait a few minutes as all the employees were helping other customers. Mike helped me out. Mike went the extra mile to help me since the store closes as 7pm and he stayed until 7:20pm -- making sure that my number was ported correctly and that I could make and receive calls. Long winded review, but this was not a great experience today. Let me first say the bad review is not for the price of the plans, which I know are not set by the individuals in the stores. Walk in and am "greeted" (accosted) by about 4 different employees, at least let me get inside before you all start asking me what brings me in at the same time. Tell them I need to get off of my company plan and get my personal account set back up, so the manager decides he can help me with that. After looking over the account he informs me of what my options are, I am not going to go into details on the plan since that is not what the review is about, but my god they were expensive. Slight digression, it is REALLY unprofessional to have employees interrupt a customer to ask the manager a question about another customer's account once, let alone multiple times. If the manager needs to be available for employees, he should not start helping a customer. Anyways, the manager that was helping me started explaining the different plans and costs associated. I explained that I used to pay way less for way more data, and asked if they would reconsider letting me get set back up with my old plan since I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. The response was less than desirable, as I was not only shut down without any thought or conversation, but also made to feel stupid for even suggesting it. So naturally, I asked about what it would take to just close the lines out all together and get them off the company plan. That was met with the most exasperated eye roll that I have seen in quite some time, if not ever, as if to say "why did I even waste my time in pretending to care about you as a customer when you are just going to leave". I told him it was quite a difficult position (in different words) and that I was basically being forced to choose between paying off the phones (the cost of which would have been astronomical, but that is more about Samsung and Apple than Verizon) or paying the high monthly price for the ridiculously small amount of data usage. Now for the fun part. I told him I would need to look into all options so I would have to come back. He hands me a piece of paper with my credit application number. Let me first say that I know Verizon runs credit, and under most circumstances am ok with that. However, I am NOT ok with having the credit ran without my EXPLICIT consent to do so. No, asking me to type my social into a screen is NOT asking me for permission to run my credit. The screen had no writing on it other than the window where the asterisk gets populated when I enter a number. The manager did NOT inform me that they were asking for the SSN to run my credit, nor did the screen, so in my estimation, that is akin to running it without my permission. At this point, I am wondering if I should take legal action. I would not trust this store, if you are content with Verizon and need to go into a store, I would suggest driving the extra distance to a different location. Can't promise it will be a better experience, but can't be worse. read more

Seeing as I can run in and pay my bill via machine..good!! I try not to deal with their "sales people" if I don't have to. I needed a new battery for my phone and went in..I had called previously and one was on hold for me. The "sales person" - Irini I think was his name, brought out the battery and walked me to the register where he tried to ring it up then grabbed the battery and took off for 10 minutes. He came back to tell me the battery wasn't "in the system- but would be momentarily" ... So, he comes back, finishes the transaction, tells me to slide my card when the hand comes up (huh?) I do..then sign the little pad..he pushes the battery and receipt at me and that's it...no "Thank You for your business" , "Anything else I can help you with", "Kiss my a$$" , nothing...real good customer service skills there skippy. I hear the horror stories about phone salesman, but I never felt even a hint of pushy sales techniques from Crystal. She was awesome beyond all belief. I myself pursue a career in sales, and find myself to be very keen when it comes to picking up on people's intentions. I felt very comforted by Crystals ability to answer my questions, solve my problems, and deliver to me the services I requested in a reasonable amount of time. I was first surprised by the fact that I didn't have to wait after I was greeted by the front door liazon. Crystal immediately came from her seat behind the desk, and was ready to help me. She never tried to oversell me on the products, I think she had a clear understanding of my expectations, providing me with what I wanted. But she definitely exceeded my expectations by offering multiple options for lowering my monthly payment! At the end of the day isn't that what all of us are looking for??? Anyway, great job Crystal, as for anyone else working at this location, the manager seemed capable of intervening to solve any major issues. Great job Verizon! read more

When we arrived at 11:45 we were told we were NOT on the schedule and needed to wait for up to hours for walk in appointments. I worked with Lain Montrose to upgrade to the iPhone 6, & he was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and gave me amazing discounts so that I was able to not only upgrade for free, but receive great prices on all the accessories that I needed as well. Lain backed up the contents of my old cell phone onto my computer before adding them to my new iPhone 6. He made certain that my new iPhone 6 had all the applications, contacts, mail, etc. that I had on my old phone. I purchased a fitbit wireless wristband from him, & Lain even paired it to my new cell phone. He gave me the Edge billing plan which offered tremendous savings. His manager, Angie Nahe was extremely cordial...all in all a great experience, & I came home with everything done. Bravo!! read more

Today a girlfriend and I went to get new head sets for our phones the service okay we laughed and talked with the service rep. etc. My issue is this: I was asked to show my ID when I used my card to pay for my headset my Caucasian girlfriend was not. I called the guy out and pointed this out to him he gave some lame excuse and still he did not ask her for her ID. Now I don't mind showing my ID however if a store has a policy of asking everyone for their ID then you need to ask EVERYONE for their ID. I don't normally pay attention to these sort of things but today I did. I see why people have attitudes and feel they are discriminated against. Is there an option for less than 1 star? Some of the worst customer service I've received in my life has been from this Verizon. The odd thing is, my family spends thousands $$$$ of dollars through this company. Who ever is running this location should be fired immediately. Their supervisor or regional manager should be fired as well. I thought it was just me, but twice I've heard the reps speaking down to elderly ladies who clearly didn't understand the phrases and technology they were discussing. The spoke to her as if she was an idiot and snickered behind her back, oh, but it was in front of her and other customers. I was treated so badly that I called the main Verizon number to discuss what happened, they were so shocked and asked me to go back into the store. While I was still on the phone with the Verizon rep. the store personnel were so rude to me, the rep on the phone asked to speak to them on my phone! The rep. took the name, store #, and manager name. Turns out, that was the manager! The rep. heard how he and his reps. treat their customers, and was really upset! I could describe several other incidents, but this will be too lengthy. The last interaction I had was sending my 13 yr. old in to buy screen protectors with cash. I couldn't bear to go back into the store, but really needed them. He came out with an opened package of used ones with hair and fingerprints all over them. I sent him back in the store, and they removed one of the used ones, put one new one in, and sent him back out with two used ones and the one new one. I was furious! My son couldn't bear to go back in after two unpleasant customer service interactions. They were not pleasant to him and obviously thought they could scam him. After he returned the package of supposedly new ones, seconds after leaving the store, why would they let him leave with two used ones? I had to call Verizon to send me my order as this store is worthless. They were again, so shocked! My ex says all the staff at this store are super buddy, buddy chummy with him. After multiple accounts from him of how he's witnessed them treating other men, but not treating the women customers the same way, I have to conclude they just hate the elderly, women, and children! These five stars are ONLY for the representative Rigo. I came in to get a new phone for my dad since he somehow ruined his last phone. Rigo was very nice and patient with me. So nice that I agreed to come back later that day to upgrade me and my boyfriends phones. The store had already closed and Rigo was still working hard to get our phones done and did his best to save us money any way possible. He did have a little trouble with the rude manager lady, but still got his stuff done. I felt bad that he was one of the last ones to leave because he had to do two upgrades, but hey! that's great customer service for you! A few days later I came back to the store to transfer mine and my boyfriends contacts since the other night was already getting too late and I wanted to go home. I came here to switch out my HTC thunderbolt for a iPhone 5. I was helped by a sales representative name Monica. She gave me the run down, pros, cons, how to save money on my bill. She checked out my monthly data usage, and minute usage and found the perfect plan for the four of us on my family plan. She even offered to apply my screen protector. I liked this location until I came in to upgrade to the Edge program. they didn't have the S5 I had wanted, and the associate said he'd call me (he took down my number and everything) when they received them). He said they got them in and I could come in to get it. I arrived, and they sold them all. They didn't hold on to any even though they said I should come in. I figured it happens and they were probably high in demand, so I waited for their next shipment! He tells me to come in again, and they sold them all again. So I just went to a different retailer nearby (Premium Retailer) and they got me the S5 and on the Edge program immediately. We needed to switch from AT&T to Verizon, and I wanted to go to a store where Verizon staff could handle the transfer so none of the existing phone numbers would get screwed up. We were treated professionally and cordially from the moment we walked in. One guy takes your name and puts you on the list, then the list is displayed on a monitor on the wall. The store was crowded, we were #5, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes. The entire transaction took about 40 minutes, including choosing phones, choosing a plan, transferring our numbers over, and getting the phones activated. Even though there were lots of people in the store, they never rushed us. We spent probably 15 minutes doing the math to compare two different rate plans to figure out which one was cheaper, depending on whether I added my iPad or bought extra data...you know the drill. Everything went flawlessly. I've been back twice to add another phone to the shared plan, and although different people were in the store, the service was just as good. Another family member who was with me remarked that she wished the service was this good everywhere. Oh, and Verizon service works in all the areas in San Jose and Oakland where AT&T has no service. Our three years on AT&T were unpleasant to say the least. read more
