They laughed at her, raised their voice at her and informed her if she didn't like the service to basically go elsewhere and or call headquarters to complain and told her to do their job as they laughed at her. This is location on 1566 Monterey Rd Ste 20, San Jose, CA 95110. Not a pleasant experience with the store. I had to wait 35-45 minutes to replace a remote. Once called, the employee said I didnt have to wait that long and to let the person know at front desk before check-in. Employee at the front end needs to be better train to consult with the customer before placing customers on a wait list to wait almost an hour on a Sunday. This happened today March 29, 2026. I entered the store at 3pm today and did not leave out until 3:40pm. **Make sure to tell them before you check-in that your replacing just a simple remote, otherwise you'll waste your time! This house has never had Comcast service, and there is no physical line running from the pole to our home. The burden was immediately pushed onto us to troubleshoot a problem that their sales and onboarding process should have proactively identified. The Technician Runaround & Blatant Dishonesty What followed was a maddening cycle of wasted time and outright lies. After scheduling a technician to run the line, we received a confirmation call ensuring the work would be done. Instead, the technician arrived, realized he actually had to perform manual labor, and claimed the "order was written incorrectly." He told us we'd get a call within 24 hours to reschedule. No one called. We called back and scheduled a second appointment for a 12 PM - 2 PM window. Shortly before noon, my husband received a call; when he answered, the person hung up. When he called back, he was sent directly to voicemail. At that same moment, a text arrived saying the tech was "en route." Two hours later? No one showed. No one called. Adding Insult to Injury When my husband called to investigate the "no-show," the customer service agent actually tried to upsell us on products for a service we don't even have yet! To make matters worse, she claimed the technician left a voicemail--a blatant lie, as we were staring at a silent phone all afternoon. I'd give zero stars if it were possible. I signed up for Xfinity internet and TV a few weeks ago, and the installation process was atrocious. The first technician gave up (too many trees), as did the second. The third was able to get the cable installed, but it took 6 hours and he was very unhappy...this process took about 5 weeks. My connection is supposed to be 500MB, but a speed test shows 132MB down and 73MP up. I finally got through to a "live" person via chat (a horror story for another time), and was told he could increase my speed to 1GB, and offer a better TV package for less than I was currently paying. After going through the online process to switch, my connection was dropped and the process began again. When I reached another "live" person via chat, I was told that what I was offered doesn't exist. I got through--old school/phone--to a human (another remarkable feat), and expressed my discontent, assuming she'd be able to help. Nope. She simply said "sorry, I can schedule your service disconnection, if you like." Avoid these folks at all costs! read more

First let me clarify why the 5 Stars. THIS IS FOR DAVID (Monterey Rd. location) AND MARK (Technician) ONLY!! David works at the Monterey Rd. location and he is absolutely amazing. He should train all other employees on what it means to be professional, polite, and helpful! He was absolutely the best. If I have to go back to the store and he's not there, I will walk out and wait for him to come in. Mark is the technician that came to the house. He was knowledgeable, helpful and took all of 15 to 20 minutes to fix the situation. Not only that he was polite and professional. I would give one star for Xfinity's phone support. This is not an exaggeration, I spent six hours in two days with eight (8) different people with their phone support team. If it wasn't for trying to get this fixed for my father, I would've canceled the subscription on the spot. If you don't educate and train your teams they will not know how to do their jobs. It's apparent training their phone support team is not a priority for Xfinity. I have existing XFinity service and upgraded to a faster speed today through the xfinity.com website. The upgrade deal included a new modem and would cost an extra $6/mo. Instead of having the model shipped, I opted for same day pickup at this store. BIG MISTAKE!!! When I got to the store, somehow my service agreement had been change to where I would be paying $200 MORE A MONTH!!! The lady at the counter kept saying over and over, "I didn't change anything". I think she doth protest too much. I canceled the upgrade, went home and got on XFinity Chat. They got my price back down to where it was supposed to be and even included a discounted iPad 16 with unlimited data. Stay away from these people!!! If you need to sign up or change your service, do it online or via chat. I'm not saying these people slammed me, but I'm not saying they didn't. I signed up two years ago and was pretty happy with the service and the price. My promotional period just ended so I expected my price to increase, it went up by $90 which I feel is excessive. Last month I went on the app to chat with a representative about adjusting my services and we found a package that would meet my needs at a price I could afford. This morning I received my bill and it turns out my services were never changed last month, the rep today said I never approved the change. I actually did and I have the chat log to prove it. Today I was on their chat line for over two hours with three different reps; apparently they kept passing me along when I refused their upgrade offers. I've worked in the telecom business doing the same job these reps do, and if I passed a customer along without doing the work I would be fired. Their behavior is completely unacceptable and lacks professionalism. While I was waiting for the chat rep to do their work, their automated system kept calling me; I never answered the call so I don't know why they'd call. I prefer to do things where there's a written record of the interaction, I don't rely on people's word because...well, they can bend the truth. I was finally able to get someone to do the change I requested, or at least I think they did it. When I check my account in a week or so, I'll see if they did anything. I called to have my cable card moved to a new Tivo box. I was told that cable cards are no longer supported. After several minutes of conversation and my request that was not granted to speak to a manager I was offer a FREE Xfinity box so the change would not financially impact me. A day later, I called to take them up on the deal, they refused the free box and refused to pull the recording from the original call. Well, it has been a love hate relationship over many years. From the groundbreaking digital cable pixilation era to modern high speed internet driven devices going dead, I have always felt held hostage by Comcast, and rarely experienced great customer service. The recent bologna with using up monthly data allowance on home internet is the new scam, and billing customers double, without not one customer care representative reaching out prior to taking money out of our bank accounts. I called, changed my service to add "more data" and the bill went down then back up to double. I have finally had enough, and you won't be getting any more of my business. Now due to the availability of other providers their monopoly is over, and we do not have to accept customer dis-service any longer. A few years ago, at my workplace in San Jose Ca, there were days when our Comcast business service went down and the so called back up internet would not even drive an email, so we finally installed Star Link for our back up. It worked very well. The connectivity interruption Comcast provided with so-called guaranteed up time was a big revenue loss. Comcast has grown so large that the customers are last in line for service, and the corporate office is first. I been hard on them at times not getting an understanding of the charges. But they always kept a calm attitude explaining in detail the billing process. Avoid Xfinity at All Costs - Unreliable Service and Utterly Broken Support Over the past two months, Xfinity's internet service to my home has been a nightmare. Bandwidth swings wildly between 0 Mbps and 400 Mbps every 10 to 15 minutes, around the clock. Mornings are the worst, but frankly, there's no time of day that's consistently usable. Streaming, video calls, even basic browsing--everything is interrupted by these constant fluctuations. Repeated calls to Xfinity support are an exercise in futility. Each time, a remote agent insists on resetting the modem and then proclaims the issue "fixed." Spoiler: nothing changes. The sheer audacity of this scripted routine is insulting. Even worse, they alternately blame "network congestion" while simultaneously acting as if a modem reboot will solve the issue--as if those two explanations are even remotely compatible. It's dishonest and condescending. I'm tired of being treated like I'm the problem when it's clearly their infrastructure that's broken. The service is unreliable, support is superficial, and the entire customer experience is built around deflection, not resolution. Before posting this, I checked Consumer Reports. Unsurprisingly, Xfinity ranks in the bottom 20% of internet providers nationwide, scoring 1 out of 5 in every category--speed, reliability, customer service, and value. That tracks. If you live in my area (94087), I strongly recommend exploring any alternative--fiber, DSL, fixed wireless, even tethering from your phone--before giving a dime to Xfinity. I rarely write bad reviews for anything, so when I do you know it's deserved. Like many people on here, my household has had a love/hate relationship with this company for many years because they were the only provider in the area. We have never had the internet speeds advertised for our plan. Connectivity has likewise been terrible, with the internet dropping several times a day. Customer service is non existent and you will either spend endless time trying to navigate their automated system or get a rep that will blame your modem even if you just replaced it with a new one of theirs the previous week. We have even had them blame the line into our house but tell us that since the cables are paved over, nothing can be done. This week was pretty much the last straw. Their own reps could not agree on what we needed to do to port a phone number (a pseudo-landline that we kept for an elderly parent) from their voice service to another carrier. This is after we had been advised that as long as we had phone service from them, we NEVER make any changes to our package because it was a legacy package. Eventually we were told that in order to keep that phone number we would have to port it to THEIR cell phone service for two months then transfer. In the end we just ended up just giving up the number and maintaining only the internet service just until the new carrier we contacted has a chance to come install. For the more than $300 a month we were paying, I just think that service should be much better. read more

DO NOT USE XFINITY. If you ever have an issue like I am having right now, there is literally no one to speak to. Their Virtual Assistant, both via phone and text go in circles. For texts I get, we're checking a few things and bubbles blinking that never go away. Via phone it directs me to reset my modem, call if that doesn't fix it, when I call back I get the same message. I am suppose to get 1gig+ down and I am getting less than 75mbs. For the cost this is a JOKE. No one to speak to and I bet if I do speak with someone, they say we have to send a tech out.
