I spent a great deal of time at this store with Travis as he helped me with the purchase of a new phone, watch and tablet. What a valuable, experienced, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable employee. He was very patient while I tried to remember passwords and was very honest in selecting choices for me. Would I shop here again? Absolutely. Every employee that I encountered was friendly and thanked me for coming in to get these three items. For the love of god don't go to this store for any assistance. Their customer service is extremely poor. We dealt with trying to return our in home WiFi equipment for 2 months and after being told to drive an hour to this location to drop off our equipment the "manager" smirked and told us to fuck off. Proceeded to state he was unable to take our equipment, refused to help in the least, he didn't even bother pulling up our account. We had an appointment and when we arrived we were welcomed with attitude from the start. Definitely do not recommend this location for any issues you may have. read more

Staff lied to me about a promotion to make a sale. When returning my phone as instructed, the new staff member (they always seem to change every other month) refused to listen to my issue, called me a liar before telling me to "Go back to your country". Verizon service for about a decade, however due to whatever they've been up to recently- over the last few months I've had to add a second service providers Sim to my phone in order to make sure I had service. I will routinely have four bars and a call will drop. At that time I won't be able to make any calls and occasionally have no network at all for up to 10 minutes. I've called Verizon and gone through all of the troubleshooting to make sure it's not my brand new Galaxy s22 or my wife's iPhone 12 Pro Max. Supposedly I have a trouble ticket in related to this network issue however I'm not holding my breath any longer. This has been going on for the better part 3 months and I'm switching ASAP. read more

Ed scammed my boyfriend and I on our plans and we weren't involved in half of the information that ended up going on our bill! we traded our phones because he said it would save money yet I check my bill on my verizon app and now i'm paying off $1,166 on a phone I didn't even need to get but apparently that was a good deal to Ed to screw people over. Came in this morning as my current provider does not have great service in my area, was assured that verizon has great service and was consulted to get a phone and 100mb hot spot and it would work or no charge, there was no reception for the phone or the hotspot in my house I immediately returned to the store and to my surprise they insisted on charging restocking fees and would not respect their initial promise to me. I walked into the Verizon store at 4023 S. Tamiami trail and was ignored by the person at the front door for a good 10 minutes while he was having a casual conversation with some people. I finally asked for help. "Anthony" , it turns out, was the manager. I needed help with a Verizon rebate on my I watch. He was unwilling to help and seemed annoyed because I didn't buy my watch there. The guy had a real chip on his shoulder and the upshot of this story is I would not go in there to purchase anything if you paid me to. read more

Had a nasty billing issue caused by a Verizon Dealer in Windham,Me. That was impossible to solve on the phone with customer service. Brought the bill and iPad to this store and was helped by a gentleman named Wes. After extensive research he figured out the retailer had basically screwed me with a service I specifically told him I did not need. Wes walked me through the the steps to rectify the issue. Today, I happen to purchase a phone on internet and needed help in syncing my phone - visited the store to ask a few simple questions- and was abruptly told he couldn't help me because the internet was down -he gave me a sheet and told me to call a nimber for help tech support. Verizon has moved to the bottom of my list of trustworthy companies. We were offered a plan with a new line for a new phone that was paid for, and now have spent 2 1/2 months and 10 phone calls trying to get our money back from an overcharge. The in-store reps certainly work magic to get you a "deal" and then the folks on the helpline have one job, to either disconnect you or make you quit trying. They create fake names, ticket numbers, make failed promises, and attempt to make you quit, all while leaving no evidence. They've hired professional scam artists to cell you the product and they hire scam artists to then service you, and neither side can get involved with the other, apparently. By the way, when they fix a charge they add a charge somewhere else. We've had Verizon for 20 years. Completely disgusted and done with this unethical company. Now I just have to wait three years for my great deal to be over with. read more

I traded-in and upgraded 2 phones with Verizon Wireless on November 28, 2022. For the upgrade, I was to return my old phones which were to be replaced by new phones at a cost of $1,000 each, and receive promotional credits for each phone of $800 (provided they were in good condition, which they were) credited against the $1000 purchase price and the balance amortized over 36 months. I received the new phones in early January, activated both, and am currently using them. I received 2 shipping boxes to return both of the old phones and I did so pursuant to the instructions I received. It's now early March and the correct credits have yet to be applied to my account. In fact, I'm now being told that they can't find one of the phones, and I've received emails saying so. I have a confirmation form from UPS (unbelievably, provided to me by Verizon) that the phone in question was, in fact, delivered to and received at the Verizon Wireless return center in Fort Worth Texas on 1/5/23. Verizon still can't find that phone and refuses to issue the promotional credit. I've contacted Verizon on 6 (that's not a typo, 6) attempts to get it corrected. The most recent contact was with Felicia (badge #46878) on February 24th who told me that they were still looking for the errant phone and that they'd let me know. She acknowledged that the phone had been delivered to them, they just couldn't find it. She also said that the credit on that phone would only be $400 (if they found it) and that I had been given incorrect promotional credit information. Remember, I had been quoted $800 for each which had been confirmed by the Verizon Customer Service each time I called. I've spent hours and hours on the phone with Verizon Customer Service with no resolution. It seems that at best Verizon misleads its customers or, at worst, they flat-out lie with impunity. If you're looking for an honest cell-phone carrier, look elsewhere. read more

We went into Verizon with an issue about one of the Appliances. We were told they wanted to give us a $50 restocking fee and it was a broken hotspot. We had this employee named Louie. Went way above and beyond. He was amazing. We got the restocking fee off and he was very, very accommodating. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this Verizon store and ask for Louie. Sales people are very skilled at running up your monthly bill. They added products and services that we didn't want when puchasing a new iphone. We caught most of the "add-on" costs after examining the bill and questioning sales person. However, the new monthly bill couldn't be itemized at the store and was way too high. Salesman said it would be corrected eventually. Hmmm. When buying a new phone, you'll see a $40 "upgrade fee" when nothing is upgraded - this can be deleted if you call Verizon and ask them what it's for. They'll tell you "to cover business expenses" - what? They also sneeked in wifi ear phones and a monthly "protection plan" for $17 per month. Just like Comcast - now, Verizon is nickel and diming the consumer with extras that are hiiden or illogical. read more

I needed to go to Verizon for some earbuds since my wired ones broke for my iPhone. I walked in and they greeted me and help me decide on what earbuds would be the best fit for me. With a wide selection of phones and accessories there was no problem on making a decision. They were extremely friendly and helpful. I ended up purchasing Apple AirPods (Gen 2). I would recommend visiting this store for any Verizon customer in need of assistance. read more

CONSUMER BEWARE! I am writing this review as a warning to all present and potential customers of the Verizon Wireless store located in Venice, Florida. Last week, I visited the store with a phone-related issue where I was greeted by Phil, Assistant Manager. After I explained the issue, he advised me to return to the store in 2 days in order to enroll in "open enrollment" for Total Mobile Protection. I thanked him for his "help" and left the store. The following day, I received a standard form type of text message from "Michael (?)" who thanked me for visiting the Venice store and encouraged me to return if he could be of any further assistance. Surprisingly, the day after the text and 2 days after my visit, I received 2 emails from Verizon...... 1 email was a thank you for signing up for Total Mobile Protection and the 2nd email was a RECEIPT for my recent transaction. I NEVER authorized this service! The assistant manager went ahead and inappropriately added this service to my account without my knowledge or consent. Immediately after reading the email, I decided to speak to the manager regarding this experience. As is customary in every Verizon store, you are greeted and asked for your phone number. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that there was 1 customer ahead of me, so I sat down and patiently waited, and waited, and waited. I waited for 75 minutes before any Verizon employee even acknowledged my existence or even spoke to me. I got up, walked to a quiet area of the store when I was approached by Phil. I explained my reason for returning to the store. I told him I received a text from an employee named "Michael" .....he responded that it "might" have been him who sent the text (strange). I informed him that I NEVER "signed up" for Total Mobile Protection He told me that you don't sign up. HUH? OK, I reworded my statement that I NEVER authorized the service. He talked in circles then removed the Total Mobile Protection from my account. Regardless, I intended on still speaking to the manager, Esther. Esther was attentive and helpful and indicated that she was going to address the issue. I have been a Verizon customer for nearly 20 years, have owned many cell phones, visited many Verizon stores in several states and have never had such a poor experience. If you are a customer or have a parent or grandparent who is a Verizon customer, please be sure to carefully read your emails and bills from Verizon to make certain that you are not billed for unauthorized services. As in any company, there might be a few bad seeds trying to take advantage of you. Thankfully, I'm not as dumb as I look! read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE by Manager!! I bought a router online in late Sept, and later that day realized that actually I didn't need it. So I called CS right away and canceled the purchase AND service. (It is documented in their notes that I did so). A few days later I received a $180 bill for the service I canceled. I called CS again, and they assured me that the accnt was canceled and nothing was owed. Then the collections dept started calling. I again called CS, who said the $180 bill was incorrect, but since the accnt was closed, they couldn't issue a credit for the $180. The agent said a local store could handle it, so I went there the next day (11/8). After I politely explained the issue, the "Solutions Mgr" (Mario) very rudely stated that he wouldn't issue the credit because I didn't buy the item from that store. Of course, I explained that CS had sent me there, but he flatly refused to offer any solutions. This lack of service and bad attitude was astounding and uncalled for, so I shared my experience with other patrons, and Mario insisted I leave. Their manager - Geoff Kaestner is rude and unprofessional. When waiting with 5 other folks he and the other manager were standing supervising. When asked why he was not serving customers he told me do not tell him how to run his store. I reminded him I am a customer and he basically refused me service. If this is the best Verizon can do for managers then it is time to find a new wireless provider. I have been a loyal and high utilizing Verizon Customer for years. Dear Verizon, What happened to customer service. This week I lost 10 hours of my life trying to buy a phone. Here are the basics. I have been a customer of yours for so long I don't even remember. I have three phones, cable, internet, wireless... Last year I created a sub account for my ex son in law. He was not my ex at the time. He defaulted on his bill. I worked with Verizon to get that line cancelled and got him to pay his debt. That was in Nov 2014. Because I can't say no to my kids, this week I tried to create a sub account for my daughter. We went to the corp store on S Tamiami in Sarasota Florida. We got everything set up and I decided to buy the new iPhone 6 Plus for myself with a lifeproof case. When we went to check out they discovered that the old sub account for XXXXXXXX was never closed and he had a past due balance and they were about to send me to collections. I HAVE NEVER NOT PAID MY BILL. My daughter and I left the store and she jumped on the phone with Verizon. After 5 hours it was semi cleared up. A couple hours the following day and they got it corrected. We did not OWE anything. Back to the store we go. We take a number and wait. The sales rep was so rude, I walked out. We were treated like trash. The sub account was created for my daughter XXXXXXXX. She got her phone and case. I went back to work and jumped online on June 3rd. Saw that I could have the early EDGE program on my phone xxx-xxx-xxxx with 2 day delivery. That was better than dealing with the jerk at the store. I ordered the 6Plus and a life proof case. Thinking I would get in on Friday the 5th. I got the confirmation so I clicked the tracking number this morning, only to discover it wasn't being delivered until the 8th. (Definitely not 2 days). I also discovered that the new phone was for the line xxx-xxx-xxxx. That is my husbands phone not mine. So from my work I called you. I was transferred 5 times and told that when the phone arrives I can take it to the store ( I had vowed never to go in there again.) and they could call in and get it attached to the correct line OR they could cancel the order, place a re-order for the correct line. I was on the phone for 40 minutes. I am now boiling mad. I have cancelled the order. I have been told that the money I paid will be reimbursed, the 2 yr contract I agreed to cancelled. I want to know why your customer service is so terrible? This week I purchased a new Cadillac in 20 minutes. How can such a big purchase be so easy and a phone so darn traumatic? I have blocked our names and numbers for security reasons. Update.... The calm customer service rep sent me to a different corporate store because they have my order in stock. The customer service here is horrible. I brought a new iPhone in to get the number changed because their web site gave a message stating I was changing the number to a non-iPhone. Also wanted the phone turned on. They did something. When I got home it did not work. They charges $15 for the "service." The rep tried to sell me a different data package. Made me wait while she spoke to a manager to get ideas on how to sell me. I really do not like to go into this store. This is the third time I have been treated this way. First two, I walked out. I miss the Verizon store in Lake Forest, CA! No matter what you come to this store to do or buy or try, you'll need to budget at least an hour to get it accomplished. I suggest giving them your name then going to Starbucks, slowly finishing your coffee, casually strolling back, then having a seat for another 20 minutes until your name is called. Actually, they don't have seating but there's a narrow, hard, uncomfortable ledge by the front windows which fills up fast that you may be able to score if you're lucky. Hopefully you'll get one of the knowledgeable customer service reps so you'll be able to accomplish your mission. Big store with good product selection. read more

I've never been treated so rudely by a salesperson in my life. I recently bought a new smartphone and have Verizon as my carrier. I've been looking for an Otter box, or similar product that would fit my phone (Samsung Galaxy J7) but haven't been able to find the correct one in local stores. Thinking that Verizon might have more stock, or at least a recommendation, I stopped in. The salesman, (didn't catch his name, guy about 40, dark hair, scruffy beard) started out by barking at me that Otter box doesn't make the Defender for my model, and brought out the one he said would fit. I remarked I didn't see a screen cover and wondered if there wasn't something else. At this point he became argumentative and condescending, saying that the "politically correct" thing to tell me was that my phone was not one of the "flagship models". I tried to make light of this gratuitous insult, but he doubled down, saying that it wasn't Verizon's problem that he didn't have another product, etc. I finally asked him the price of the model he had shown me, and rather than answer me, he simply turned the box around to show the price tag. I told him I wasn't interested and left. I have to say that I was totally gobsmacked by such puerile and unprofessional behavior - especially by someone in a store representing the brand of one of the leading wireless providers. If I were a sales executive in this company, I'd be furious to learn that a customer had been treated this way. read more

The Customer Service Rep who greeted me at the door (his name was Chad) was so rude and condescending, not to mention unhelpful both times when I visited today. I remember when Verizon cared about helping their customers, but if they still do, it's not at this store. Veronica M. was right on the money in her review. Avoid this store unless you enjoy abusive treatment. I don't intend to return to this location and do not recommend it to anyone else. I had selected it because I erroneously expected to receive a superior level of service since it is a VerizonWireless "Company" store (as opposed to an authorized retailer). I was so wrong. Nobody needs this aggravation from such rude treatment. This experience has motivated me to shop for a different carrier as I plan to purchase a new iPhone next month. Bought my phone here yesterday and called for what should be minor assistance. (Which button is the on/off button? None do it. There are two on the right, three on the left. He insisted that, no, there is one on the right.) Instead of investigating for himself, I was directed to look it up on YouTube. I had already done that to know avail. The guy insisted I have the X. I don't. I have the 8 Plus. In my frustration, I said, "g-d d@mn phone" and was told there was no need to cuss. He then hung up on me. I called back and asked when my sales guy would be in next. I also apologized that he felt offended but not to hang up on customers. His job is to find the answers to help customers, not to insult them by telling them they don't have the phone that they know they do. I regret purchasing my phone here and should have heeded the negative reviews. Won't ever use them again and will discourage others to avoid them.... BTW, I had stopped in last week while in that area and asked questions about the 8 Plus. Being new to iPhone, I appreciated the patience of the sales guy that day. He gave me his biz card and I saw that he is a Natural Guard Reservist, so I wanted to be supportive and scheduled an appointment to purchase the phone. When I arrived, he was busy with a corp. customer, so another guy handled my sale and set up. Being Black Friday, they got busier and busier. So, I was sent off, phone and iPad in hand. Little did I know that their boxes didn't contain even the basic of instructions. So far, my iPhone experience sucks. UPDATE: Apple Help assisted me and we figured it out. My clear cover magnifies the Sim card area, so it looks like a button and the Otterbox logo is smack over it, obscuring it and making it raised. As well, the cover is new and very stiff. Needs to become a bit more pliable to be able to full engage the power button. ... Other than that, my review stands as is. Apple Help was exactly that -- helpful! read more
