I rarely post negative experiences publicly, but after almost 4 months of dealing with AT&T, I feel…read morelike consumers need to know how broken their customer service process has become. On March 9, 2026, I called AT&T because I tried upgrading my son's phone and received a strange message showing he had supposedly already upgraded to an iPhone 17 -- which was impossible because we never upgraded his line. What followed was 2 months of endless calls lasting 2-3 hours each, constant transfers between departments, and the same scripted answer every single time: "It's just a glitch." "Please allow 3-7 business days." Nothing was ever fixed. After repeatedly starting over from scratch, I finally reached out to a former AT&T sales rep I knew who had moved up within the company. He escalated the issue to the Office of the President, and for the first time I thought we might finally get somewhere. That's when I learned the REAL issue: When we originally signed up with AT&T, someone internally failed to properly process my son's installment payments. My account is on autopay, so naturally I assumed everything was being handled correctly. Instead, AT&T's own error created a situation where the phone appeared unpaid and ineligible for upgrade. Eventually, after more weeks of back-and-forth, AT&T admitted responsibility. They charged me for the remaining balance, credited back the missed payments, and told me everything would update within 24 hours so we could finally upgrade the phone. "Sorry for the inconvenience." Except... it STILL wasn't fixed. Fast forward to Memorial Day weekend: I took my son to an AT&T corporate store to finally get his new phone after being promised for MONTHS that it was resolved. The store rep looked at the account and immediately told me: "You're still not upgrade eligible." My son was literally in tears. Since March, he's been repeatedly told he'd finally be getting his phone "soon," only for us to hit another dead end because AT&T still hasn't corrected their own mistake. Now the representative from the Office of the President has stopped returning my calls entirely. At this point, I'm asking myself why I'm still a customer. We have 9 lines with AT&T -- phones, watches, iPads -- and pay a significant bill every month. Loyalty clearly means nothing when customers are forced to spend months chasing resolution for a problem they didn't create. AT&T, do better. Because right now, companies like T-Mobile and Verizon are looking a whole lot more interested in earning our business than you are in keeping it.

I drove over with my laptop ready for a diagnostic, only to find the door locked with no staff available. Their signage indicated they were open, and their online profile also showed open hours, which made the situation even more frustrating. I tried calling while I was there and got no answer, and this wasn't the first time, I had also called the week prior without anyone picking up. I even waited in my car for a while in case someone showed up, but no one ever did. It ended up being a complete waste of my time, especially since I made the trip specifically based on their reputation. I'm genuinely disappointed, as I was ready to move forward with repairs and give them my business.

It is, after all, a SMALL repair store with a LOT of supplies... and I don't go for ambiance. I go for quality repairs, and great service, and have never been disappointed. I find Eddie, the owner, to be honest, knowledgeable, and fast when he isn't inundated with trying to please customers with his quick turnaround repairs. Personally, I dont worry about what time the store may open. I never go until I call to see if I can bring my stuff in. So, I have never had to wait. A small business such as UZ Tech Computers may have to open late due to some reasonable issues... Heck, you might even find a good deal on rebuilt computers, if you aren't too picky. I did. Bought a desktop years ago, and it has worked fine. If it had not, I'm certain that Eddie would take care of the issue... I HIGHLY recommend UZ Tech for repairs, on both cell phones and computers. But, you might want to call ahead to see how busy they are...

Well let me tell you WHY you should AVOID this location...CARLOS is a sh@t disturber. Big Time! He didn't want to give me the same deal. He was charging me a WHOLE BUNCH MORE. I told him to keep his phone, I'd just go back to the other location on Sawdust Rd! So I walked out and left. I got to the Sawdust store and was told that he called them and lectured them and gave them the 3rd degree like he was their mom! I was livid and wanted to go over there and punch him in his fat face, it decided against it. Is this proper etiquette for a person to lose a sale/commission and call the other store and act like a moron?? He needs to go back to his old job...mopping floors at the local convenience store! Carlos needs to get back in his mommy's basement and be a troll on the internet. I bet that's his second job! So...to ANYONE thinking of going to this location...Here's some Advice, drive a few minutes more, AVOID THIS CLOWN who is only interested in screwing you for commission so he can graze at the local buffet, and go see the PERFECT Cricket Employees at the Sawdust store. They are the nicest people I've ever dealt with. AND they made me feel appreciated by Cricket! YOU CAN THANK ME LATER!

Now that it's been relocated to the Grand Parkway Marketplace area, we've been going there for all of our upgrades and purchases. Recently, though, we were looking for a specific phone to get as an upgrade and there were none to be had at the corporate store. So we stopped in, on a lark, at this reseller store that used to be my normal AT&T store. First, the store is a whole lot bigger than it used to be. The wait for help is a whole lot longer than it used to be too. And the sales reps are a whole lot less helpful than they used to be. After waiting the 15-or-so minutes for them to unlock the safe to see if they even had the model we were looking for (they did not), we decided to leave. But not before the rep, once logged into my account to check the upgrade status, started asking a bunch of questions: are you a teacher? A first responder? Do you work in the medical profession? And then some other questions that were - wow - way too much. It was as if she was attempting to alter my account or my plan. Yikes! Shut that down. When it was determined they did NOT have the phone, drove home and ordered it online through the AT&T website. Much, much easier. If you're an AT&T customer and need help or an upgrade with your phone, simply drive a bit north to the corporate store. A much better experience with much more knowledgeable sales reps. Or order your phone online. Probably the last time I'll come here.

I saw him pull out a physical SIM card and figured he will install it during the activation process. I sat there and waited until the process was complete and he handed me the phone. I paid for the activation fee and the SIM card fee. My phone was working fine, until after a week later I started noticing that whenever I wake my phone up from sleep I would not get a signal and I noticed that the network status on the upper left corner of my phone was searching for the SIM (it's saying "No SIM" detected). I went ahead and opened up the SIM tray and found out that there was no SIM card there at all and all this time, the guy at the store who activated my phone decided to install an eSIM instead since my phone is compatible for that feature. Which irked me was that he did not address this to me at the time of my visit there and just assumed that I would like an eSIM, which is a new concept for me. I came back to the store after this realization and asked him that I needed a physical SIM because it's just my preference. So he went ahead and "deactivated" the eSIM and inserted/activated a physical SIM. I went home that day thinking the problem has been solved. But whenever I tried to make a phone call or send a text, it's saying "the number is not associated with the SIM" and to please activate a new number. WTH???!?! I called the store and told him the situation and he asked me to come back to the store. I told him I'm not going to drive another 15 miles and there's not a lot of MetroPCS stores nearby. The store clerk tried fixing the issue on his end but he couldn't do anything. So that same day, I went to a nearby T-Mobile store, and decided to transfer my number to their service and closed my MetroPCS account. Very disappointed in MetroPCS, just the way customer service and the fact that I was not told about the eSIM situation.
