Verizon was a destination to resolve a problem from my online attempt to "port" my iphone to Verizon from Xfinity. My attempt was "successful" re a text from Verizon. A phone call also from Verizon told me to wait for call on 1/2/25. Everything will be done. Time came. Nothing's working. Couldn't call since iPhone doesn't work. Came here for a Verizon slim chip to swap for my old chip. Online V. Never disclosed to me how i was to receive chip. Shop here says essentially "no can do". Not their issue/responsibility. Was told The person whose number i transferred to has to call V. to activate my iphone on their end. Luckily, there were no lines here. Associates friendly, courteous, efficient. Pointed me in the online direction. 3.5 stars for the above. Less for V. Online for not leaving clear precise instructions...

Times have changed and I write this as most Verizon stores have now succumbed to used car dealership tactics. I went in hoping to ditch the iPhone and go back to Samsung, boy was I wrong. Initially I was greeted by the employee and my info was taken to get the process going. He was a little short and rushed through and right from the top attempted to steer me in a whole different direction from what I initially wanted. He asked for what phone I wanted and went to the back to what I thought was grabbing my phone only to return 15 or so minutes later with a breakdown on how to open a new line and an alleged way to get a free phone. Of course going from 5 lines to 6 was out of the question, naturally I didn't budge. Again he goes to the back for another 15 minutes all the while i was standing off to the side not being spoken too or updated until another sales associate comes by and says they're waiting to "release" the phone and it took awhile because a new shipment just came in. On a Sunday?!? I was visibly frustrated and just said I'm an about 2 minutes away from leaving. The salesman comes back out and I explain that I still haven't talked about moving my wife's line to my smartwatch and turning in my phone for the upgrade. I'm told there was no promotion for what I wanted and that the best he can do is add another line for the discounted price. Why would I open a line just to get the phone I wanted and pay for an extra phone line. That would make the new phone not free as suggested. Maybe it's me but there shouldn't be a difference between buying online or going to a physical location. I would think services would be the same. Oh well I'll try online or call customer service on my own. Thanks for nothing.

I was greeted and asked if I needed help right away which was nice. Although I wasn't in an urgent in need of a power changer or phone battery, it was nice to know what they have available. So I continued to browsed around. I was also greeted at the end as I was leaving, it was a very welcoming experience. I highly recommend this Best Buy location and would come back whenever I'm in the area.

The device was listed as Fair but was missing multiple items so he was able to reduce it by $20. Truly helpful and I was excited to take it home. At the point of sale he said that the Best Buy membership was on sale and the annual fee reduced to $180 would result in a 2 year warranty for the price of one year, and I had the membership perks such as 60 day return window. This was $199 after tax. After returning home I did more research and found the warranty lasts only as long as the membership is active, so I had been purposefully deceived by the salesman. I went back to the store and was able to get a refund for the membership and then paid outright for the 2 year warranty for $180. No tax on this warranty so I had saved $19 by just paying for the warranty instead. Deceitful sales practices at this store so beware.

Not sure if this was normal. I was inconvenienced with trying on a shirt. I found the fitting room is actually a storage room. The actual fitting room is a little further towards the front. I bought a few clearance items from the men's section. The prices on price tags were more than I paid at the Houston store. But when I rang them up, the prices became the same. Except for the shocking 10.75% tax. I'll be back to get some more things during my Bay Area visit. I'll probably buy groceries to avoid paying tax.

That was pretty bad but I let it go and figured I'd just pick it up the next week. When I came back a week later all the same expired items were still there. Not acceptable. I let an employee know and they said "oh sorry". This is not an isolated incident. We find expired items often. They've also been out of paper bags the last two weeks. They haven't put up any signs or anything to give customers a heads up, so when I approached the register last week with my full cart I had no choice but to buy more of their reusable bags because I had forgotten mine at home. A week later they were still out of paper bags. I brought my own, but still no heads up until after I had unloaded my cart at the register. I mentioned to the cashier that they were out of bags the week before as well and she didn't know what I was talking about. They also seem to no longer help people bag their groceries. They will scan all your items and then just watch you pack them up, or they just start scanning the next customers items and mixing their stuff with your own items. This backs up the line at the register and makes everything go slower. Today while I packed my bags and the employee at the register stood there watching me, I asked if they had a new policy to no longer assist with bagging the groceries. I thought perhaps it was a holdover from COVID which would have made some sense. The employee said "Oh...uh..." and helped put the last two items in a bag, but did not answer my question. There was another recent incident when a manager came to the cashier and told them they needed to take a break after they helped me (that's fine, workers deserve their breaks). The customer behind me had already unloaded their cart and asked "What about me". The manager just said "You'll need to move" and walked away without offering to help them do so. I've worked at Target myself and in roles with other retail companies. I understand the challenges placed on stores by the executive class and poorly behaved customers that makes good service more difficult than it aught to be. But this location underperforms in ways it should not.

This is actually my third time coming back to this Central Computers, and experiences like this are exactly why. I was literally asked when I walked in if I wanted to walk out with a gaming PC that day. You would think that would be the easiest sale in the world. Unfortunately, the customer service was terrible. I spent time looking at two computers and reading the brochures, which I could have done myself online. The employee helping me didn't seem knowledgeable enough to answer basic questions or actually guide me toward the right system. Meanwhile, another employee who clearly seemed more knowledgeable was standing there discussing computer specs with the employee instead of talking directly to the customer standing there with $3,000 ready to spend. At that point, I just walked out. I hope when people talk about AI eventually taking over jobs, they're talking about experiences like this. Not because I want people to lose their jobs, but because a customer should not have to teach themselves everything and then walk into a computer store just to have someone ring up the box they already picked out. If you've already done all your homework, know exactly what you want, and just need someone to hand you a receipt, maybe this place works for you. But if you're looking for someone who can actually listen to what you need, explain the differences between systems, answer questions, and help you make a $3,000 purchase, I'd look elsewhere. Terrible experience. I walked in ready to buy and walked out with my money. That's a pretty significant failure in customer service.

She came back a third time and they ended up replacing the screen. Usually, second time's the charm right? Not this time. The quality was exactly the same. My daughter tried messaging through Yelp to find a resolution, but her messages were completely ignored. I'm disappointed in the customer service this store provided although having a good rating. The empty box is just a cardboard box with my boyfriend's favorite character printed on the side. When I went to go checkout at the self checkout the monitor person moved to stand nearby me in a corner as if I was attempting to not scan everything or steal something. She can clearly monitor me from her station in the front of the self checkout registers. I'm not sure why she would move to be that close to me unless she's assuming I wouldn't scan everything. After checking out at the self checkout I asked the lady monitoring the self checkout if I could take the empty box. She said it was fine and I put my items inside. A guy stopped me before leaving the store and said customers aren't allowed to take the displays. I assume the guy was a worker even though he didn't have a name tag or company dress code on.
