Poor presentation made to get two phone sales. We were told we could upgrade from our current phones with our monthly bill staying nearly the same ($5 more). We came in to upgrade my wife's old iPhone 11 for her birthday. I asked how much it would be to upgrade my phone at the same time (iPhone 14) both to 16. Sales rep said a little over $500 and so we opted for both. He showed us our new and old payment, which was basically the same . Insignificant except for the $500 or so upfront so we went ahead. We get our bill 2 months later and it's $169 more. We go down and bring all of our paperwork. In the fine print, which the rep NEVER mentioned is that we need to give them our old phones within 30 days or the whole deal changes. The salesperson we spoke to today basically called us a liar when my wife said trade in instead of upgrade (pointing at her saying "you said trade in, you said trade in") after they repeatedly said trade in during the discussion, but his manager tried to walk that back. He said we'd have to find our old phones and bring them in, or he could do nothing. We don't have them. They were basically bricks. Why the salesperson gave us our new phones AND our old phones after he transferred the info is beyond me. He NEVER mentioned that we needed to return our old, non working phones or suffer major change in payment is beyond me. They don't care about you. They just sell phones as fast as they can. If they misrepresent, that's on you. Here's what they didn't say in the fine print. They don't stand behind a loyal long term Verizon customer. Their answer is basically, too bad. Their salesman that called us a liar today needs training too. We didn't misrepresent what took place. There was no benefit to them not to tell us, he just failed to do it. Read everything in detail with these people. I question the training that they receive, and certainly question the customer handling skills as well. read more

Should have read the reviews. 30 year ATT customer. Fiancé with T-mobile, no signal at house, she wants a new service. She drags me to Verizon, wants a 17 pro max. I listen to the deal, decide to change service and get me a new 17 pro max as well. Deal was pretty good. Took 3 hours to set up at the store. Had problems with the phone right away. Spent lots of time trying to use the chat and phone support, no luck. Return to the store twice , spend lots of time and issues were still not resolved. Gave up, but kept getting messages to complete the set up. And we find out I have no signal in many places I had great signal with ATT. Including the Verizon office. Go back in a third time yesterday to try to get the problems fixed, and complained about the lack of signal. The rep responds with " you need to upgrade your package if you want better signal ". I explained that was a very bad thing to say. Went across the street to ATT and switched both 2 line accounts to ATT. Same deal, got most of the new phone cost covered and corrected all the previous problems. Went out last night and had signal in places Verizon failed. Don't worry about winning us back, your true colors are very clear. read more

If you need help, Erika is your girl! She's not only amazing in her profession but super quick at fixing issues and getting customers in and out with ease. I talked to three different associates on the phone for over 2 hours plus and none could help me figure out my issue with my watch. We went in to the store and a gentleman who again couldn't help but thank god we got Erika! She knew exactly what to do and how to fix the problem in less than an hour. She was not only helping me and my family but also her male coworkers that needed help completing sales etc. I'm very thankful for her kindness and her professionalism! We will definitely be going back there and it's only because I know there's a woman there that actually knows what they're doing and can actually do it! I unfortunately agreed to tryout Verizon internet when a woman came door-to- door. I was offered it free to try out or return if not satisfied. It did not work with my mesh system so I returned it to the Ventura Verizon Store on Mills. I was told there was no balance due but the receipt could not be printed. I them received a bill. I went back to the store. Again was told I had no balance due. I them received another bill. Calling Verizon was no help. I am very sorry I ever started doing any business with Verizon! read more

This is a review that's long overdue for the manager Ricardo Rizzo. He is the bomb. I had a terrible, terrible, terrible experience with the Verizon location at The Collection. When I walked in, I was about ready to cancel my Verizon account and switch providers. Ricardo was caring enough to listen to my concerns and help me. I have been going here for 10 years and the only reason I went to the other location was due to the darn time consuming construction that was going on on MainStreet. We signed up our business for the 5g 100 Mbps plan. It worked fine for about a month, then speeds dropped to less than 1 Mbps. I put in a troubleticket in March. I received no follow up and no help. After several unanswered Emails and weeks later I was told it was "fixed". It wasn't fixed, absolute garbage. Then they blamed the tower I was connected to, and said a tech would fix it and follow up with me. Again, no follow up. 2 months went by and most of my Emails and phone calls were ignored. If you live in Ventura, and you care about your business, do not use Verizons 5g Internet. My experience has been awful. Their tech support is basically non-existent and they truly do not care about the customer experience. read more

Came in about 40 minutes before closing to buy a new phone and a new watch. I knew exactly what I was looking for and I literally just needed someone to ring me up. Given my busy work schedule I don't get many windows to go handle these. When I walked in there were 3 employees sitting around with their thumbs up their asses not helping anyone. I was told that they are closing soon and that I need an appointment to come back. I'm in sales and if a client is coming in to buy from me, I don't care what time it is. Note to the GM- if my sales team turned away an easy deal because it was 40 minutes before closing, we would all be fired. I'll take my $2,000+ elsewhere. I think this may be my favorite Verizon Corporate store in Ventura County. I went in today just wanting to play with the new Verizon iPhone and was under the impression that I was not going to be able to upgrade my wifey's line. I talked to one of the employees and she actually came up with a way for me to get the iPhone my wife wanted! I was able to surprise my wife with her new phone after she got out of class..she was veryyyyy happy. As I have said before when she is happy I am happy. On a side note we took the phone in to the Oxnard location later in the evening and told them we needed to do a simple ESN switch because we were switching around phones on our account and the guy got an attitude with me asking where I bought the phone. He acted like it was a big huge deal that we bought the iPhone at another corporate store. At this location they gave me no attitude and totally exceeded my expectations. Wouldn't go back if you paid me. Store Manager RICARDO RIZZO would not accept the verification from a Verizon's customer service rep. They both work for Verizon, the "national" service rep said a relative was showing up on the computer as authorized to purchase. The Store Manager would not accept his own colleague's verification. I had to drive to the store and present ID so the phone could be purchased. I told him it was a major inconvenience. Store manager said he was protecting our account. FROM WHO?? His colleague? Beyond disappointed by my visit tonight at this location. I brought my girlfriend in to Purchase a phone and add an additional line to my plan. The first gentleman to greet us was very pleasant but turned us over to a young lady who seemed extremely bothered to help us. I asked some specific questions and instead of helping us, she directed us to a phone to call customer service. Not sure other than she didn't know how to answer specific. Question about Verizon products. I asked her about adding a line and she straight out told me I probably couldn't. I let her know I had a personal line as well as a 12 line business account. I had some additional questions and a second employee came over and was even less helpful. I asked him about the new service plans and he simply pointed to a piece of paper showing us the new plans written in Spanish and told me "you can read this if you have questions". I don't speak Spanish. Then he went back to playing on his cell phone. While on the phone with customer service, I asked to speak to a supervisor who was absolutely amazing and assured me he would be contacting the regional manager of the store to give them my feedback. Because of this recent experience, I will be canceling both my personal and business account with Verizon and taking my business to AT&T. This review is for Jazz at the Ventura store only - otherwise, it would be zero stars. My phone died suddenly and the fixes were not working. Luckily, I had purchased an unlocked phone off the internet. My partner called the Camarillo location and asked if we needed an appt. I am already on a Verizon plan. The Verizon employee said we did not. So we went there and was told that they do not supply sim cards and could not activate the phone, the Ventura store could do that, because they are only a reseller. Oh, and where did we get the phone, the employee asks suspiciously. Really? Ok, it would have been nice for the person answering phones to ask a follow up question or two for the sake of efficiency, but Ventura we go. The Ventura store has a line outside and when we explain that we need a Sim card and activation, this employee says that an appointment is needed and they have no appointments today. How about another day? Or I could go to the Westlake store. Oh, and he also says that I must order the Sim before coming back. We called the Westlake store to see if perhaps we could get an appointment with them, but guess what? That store is closed! Switching to another carrier was looking pretty tempting! Now, my phone has all my contact information - I can't even tell people I don't have a phone, because all their numbers are in my dead phone! We are sitting in the car, frustrated by this experience, when Jazz appears. She actually came to our car! We explain the issue and she says that she will ask the manager if she can give us a Sim card and tells us how to transfer all the info, so we may not need an appointment! She popped in the Sim and off we went! Transferring was a breeze, it really was. With Verizon stores closing left and right, it is critical to have staff that ask questions, are knowledgeable and try to be helpful. One of the other agents finished up with a client and I expected him to help me next. Instead a friend walked in and he helped him instead of me. Yesterday I went in to have my new phone looked at since it stopped working. I gave my name and reason for coming, was put on the list and waited for my turn. Then a manager there let a couple who had just walked in the door be served before me. Here is what he didn't do: 1. Come to me and politely ask if it would be ok to serve the other couple first since they just had a quick exchange to make and would take a minute or less. 2. Tell the couple and the salesman that as a courtesy they would be taken first and they needed to just deal with the issue they came about or they'd have to wait their turn. 3. Apologize to me when they took much longer than planned (because they weren't told that they were taken before someone and needed to just stick to the reason they came). He might even have offered some service or freebie for my inconvenience. Instead he just took them, gave them to a salesman and they ended up looking at everything from stereos to phone jackets. As the time passed and I approached the manager (huge beard in case you want to recognize him) to ask what was going on, he said this was store policy, to take people with short time projects before their turn in line. I pointed out that they were taking long, and in fact after I was finally served, realized they had taken much longer than me. Hes stood like a brick wall and repeated like a frozen robot that he appreciates my input but that is store policy. He said he miscalculated how long they would take. He didn't miscalculate he just never told them they were taken early because they were expected to deal with just one small issue, just as he had never approached me to make things ok with me about it. Par for the clumsy and rude course he was on, he didn't apologize, but did repeat as a mantra, in a tone that said he was using his standard line for irritating customers, that he appreciated my input but this was store policy. What a clod. Isn't being a manager about customer service? Couldn't he have approached both me and them to clarify and make things right? Instead they wandered around looking at stereos for 15 minutes while I lost my turn for no reason. Clumsy, inept, stubborn, rude and childish. He could have made this so right but didn't. Oddly enough the guy who helped me with my phone, Chris, was great. He dealt with my bad mood and bad phone and fixed both just by being friendly and helpful! Maybe the managers need a bit of training on how to treat customers. Or they can just watch the decency with which their subordinates treat customers. read more

Try and deal with #611 or online if you must deal with Verizon. Stay out of even the corporate stores. Ordered a new iPhone XS online, and today the phone froze for about three hours. Tried every way to restart or force quit, talked to level two tech support. Didn't have a computer to try resetting through iTunes, so technical support advised me to go to a corporate store and return the phone since I was within the 14 day window. When I got to the store, the phone magically decided to unlock, which of course made me look like a moron. Anyway, the salesperson told me that the 14 day window begins on the order date. Which was three days prior to me receiving the actual phone. Common sense did not apply. So I called Verizon Wireless back, who verified that the 14 day period begins when you receive the phone. She called the store to advise them that they had the policy wrong, but after being on hold for a year, the store told her that they wouldn't take the phone back unless I could recreate the issue. Clearly this store is extremely dedicated to not taking the hit for a return as opposed to providing any type of customer service. Thankfully, the #611 representative connected me with another representative who happily exchanged my phone. I worked for Verizon for nine years, so the horror stories will be forever etched in my memory. I kick myself every time I realize that I still have them for our cell service. However, I'm super grateful to the person who did decide to help me. It can be a needle in a haystack trying to find someone at Verizon who has any interest in customer service and actually knows how to assist. read more

Every time I use this location the staff are super friendly and communicative. Even when they're busy they'll try to be fair to everyone and they make you feel noticed. Twice I've gone in thinking I had a problem they couldn't fix, and twice I've left with them addressing the problem in less than five minutes. When I bought my smartphone I was given the choice of three free things to go with it. Seemed sensible to get a car charger and case but was undecided on the third until the sales rep suggested tempered glass to cover the screen. Not finding anything else I wanted I went with this option thinking one had to be a special kind of stupid to drop something so expensive and I would never do that. Until I did. Today. So I rushed over to Verizon after knocking it off a counter on to some nice looking marble tile and feeling little bits of tempered glass all over my fingers. Edward took care of everything and I was in and out in a jiffy with a new tempered glass face, a lifetime guarantee, and a new snazzy case that really reflects my personality. I was due for an upgrade in October of 2013. While visiting my best friend in Ventura, CA and after giving it some thought, I decided to finally use my upgrade and visited this location due to its "great" reviews and my friend having had a good experience at this particular location. I decided to trade my iPhone 4s for the new iPhone 5s and was assured I was getting the "loyalty" treatment. Being a loyal customer and having been with Verizon for many years, I did not hesitate for a second in signing another contract with Verizon. I was given a credit trade in value of $200 for my iPhone 4s which was tacked onto my VZ bill. The iPhone 5s (32gb) with a 2-year contract was going for $199.99 in February of 2014 (now June 2014 @ $99.99 with a 2-year contract) I was pleased to know that I was in a sense practically breaking even as far as cost in device and the phone buyback program and was told all I needed to do was pay for the tax of the new phone. I had no problem with that, and signed the tablet for my purchase. It wasn't until today that I was looking over my bill (after the purchase of the iPhone in Feb and iPad mini in March have settled) through the mobile app and noticed the credits to my account were not where I thought they would be. After several phone calls to 611 I found out what was going on, it was brought to my attention that I was signed up for the new Edge plan. My understanding is the Edge plan allows for the purchase of the phone without a contract. With that, the cost of the phone is around $749.99. As appealing as it might be for some customers who have to have the latest and greatest phones when they come out, I obviously don't need this program (having not upgraded since I was allowed to in October). After my calls with Andrew, Caleb and Jordan (Manager) having tried to resolve the issue on their end, but because of the amount of time that has passed since the purchase, the manager advised that I go back to the retailer and resolve the issue in-store since that's where the error took place. Because I live in Orange County, I now have to make the 2 hour or so drive to get this matter resolved. I have never had any problems with Verizon Wireless up until my visit earlier this year. I have never had any issues with VZ, I have always left hundreds of dollars (in credits) in my account and felt it was not necessary for me to dissect my bill and itemize every single charge-until recently when I was advised that I was enrolled in the Edge program. I understand that I should've been more diligent in reading exactly what I was signing and agreeing to when it was presented to me. The issue here is that a representative cheated me and appropriate actions should be taken to make sure that this does not happen again in the future. I came to learn recently that representatives work on commission. I understand needing to run a business and making money but lying to customers and not giving full disclosure isn't right just to make an extra buck or so. I simply want what I was initially told I was signing up for and that is $199.99 with a 2-year contract and not this Edge program for the full retail (no contract) which I initially declined to begin with. So please, how can we fix this? I also don't want to have go through the whole trouble of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and other advocacy groups. But if I can't be helped, then what else am I supposed to do. The type of business practices I experienced at the hands of two employees in Ventura is absolutely unethical and unacceptable. I'm smart enough to know that two employees don't represent all of Verizon, but at the moment this is how I'm feeling. I'd like to remain a Verizon customer, but if this can't be corrected then I will move on. read more

I don't see why the bad reviews. It is pleasantly located by Lowe's on Mills Rd. Last November 29th I stepped in to see what I could do with my cracked screen/phone. At around 6:30ish pm, I wasn't hopeful since I was planning on leaving on a trip the following morning. Amanda and the manager (can't remember his name) were the BEST. Mostly Amanda, who SO patiently helped this technology illiterate customer ( me- haha). She was able to guide me through the process of purchasing/ upgrade what was best for me based on my needs ( and wants, ha!), without being pushy and trying to sell me into something I didn't need. Not only that, but she helped me get everything transferred and placed my screen cover and phone case on too. They took such time, it was nearly closing time. When I got home, I realized I forgot to ask for something so I drive back and even though they were about to close, they let me in and help me once more knowing I was leaving the following morning. Amanda genuinely took care of me with a friendly and patient disposition. Thank you!!! read more

My family plan contract was up and I needed new phones for myself and my parents. I walked up into this store properly greeted by the manager and was checked in. I told them it's hard for me to see my parents and this was the only time we could all get together to do this 'trade-in' deal, I already had my number switched from a different carrier to verizon AND my parents where there with their old phones AND the new phones in hand from a different Verizon store prior to this visit. All i basically wanted to do was switch the old numbers from the old carriers to the new phones with verizon. I already had the new phones in hand. Literally, all Maria did was take the new smart phone turn it on in front of us and take it to the back and had us wait ONE WHOLE HOUR. with no notification of time or how long or what was even going on she just kept walking to the back. My dad had asked the check in how long, they said 30m...i would expect her to take the phones to switch the phone numbers to the new phone buuut nope. The way this store is set up is that they take the phones to the back behind the door, then come out with everything...well, they didn't come out with anything done and i had to walk out because it should have not taken that long and i was going to be late for work. I walked up to the manager to complain and he phones Maria to bring the phone out. Another person comes out and says it would take 1-2 hours ... and that she could call maria out to explain why it would take 2 hours...at that point, to me, it did not matter,...because my time was wasted and was terribly handled by management. whuuu....ok. not even an apology from the manager of how frustrated we were. I get to work and notice that all the phones have no internet or could not make any calls....i went to the original place to where i got my phone, and they handled it. it did not take two hours... but i had to take phones away from my parents. which was very inconvenient because they do not live with me. idk, maybe they didn't care because I spent money at a different verizon location but they should have not treated a new contact member this way. I would expect the service to be consistent....i'm very patient and chill about a lot of things.. it takes a lot of effort for me to go out and complain about a company so..here it is. don't go here. go somewhere else. read more
