Stopped in to see about getting a second line for work. Verizon is the only cell tower where I work. So was time to upgrade. I will still keep my At&t service until my contract expires with them next year. I got the 'works' I was offered a 'free' iPhone 16 and iPad 16 with a 3 year contract. Signed up for auto pay, so my projected bill will be around $85 a month for the two lines. I also bought all the cords, cases and extra goodies. I spent wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more than I thought. Avoid at all costs. I'm a full-time working professional and single mom with very little time. I've had ATT, T-Mobile, etc. and Verizon is by far the worst. I transferred my family over from AT&T including my parents. My mom's line was initially transferred THEN kicked back to AT&T so I've been charged a separate bill for her single line. Meanwhile lovely Verizon decided to charge me for an e-sim for her phone with a number we've never seen before (not hers). So I apparently paid a setup and activation fee for this ghost number. Also meanwhile, another number mysteriously appeared on my bill so I was paying an additional 2 lines, in addition to the ATT bill of my mom's I was paying separately. All the while, reception is supposedly 'best' but really sucks in the new summerlin areas (west of lake mead/ 215). I walked into the store seeking their help and the manager Taryn told me to call 611. I asked what's the difference calling in-store vs the 611 I call from home - same thing, "you might as well call from home." how's that for customer service? I've been on the line going on 3 hours for the 5th time trying to get this issue sorted out and resolved. Best of all, if I want to move back to ATT where my mom's line is, I'll have to pay $1900 to pay off devices. Oh- my trade in credits of $28 per month also mysteriously disappeared. So many stories of untold grief and inconvenience and fees caused by this place. Oh and my monthly cell phone bill went up from $145 to $400 now, and mind you, 2 lines I've never even seen or used before. But when you walk into the store they aggressively try to get you to upgrade your phone or sign up for home internet. The staff is very obviously incentivized to upsell and make a certain target of financial production each day. That's a no brainer. I really regret moving to Verizon from my previous carrier where I was having zero issues except reception (which is usually bad in new build areas). read more

Avoid this Verizon store at all costs!! Last week I came in to transfer 5 lines and purchased 4 new iPhone. The employee Jason told me he would "help set up the new phones." I told him I did not want to wait in the store for setup and I can do it myself at home. He insisted it was quick and that he would handle it. At no point did he disclose that there would be a fee. Later, I discovered they charged $39.99 per phone for "Setup and Go" -- $160 total -- without my permission. Even worse, Jason applied a liquid glass screen protector on all four phones without telling me there's a fee. When I asked what he was doing, he simply said it "protects the screen" and never mentioned it was an add-on product with an additional cost. When I checked the receipt afterward, they had charged $66.99 per phone -- almost $280 total -- again without my authorization. When I went back to the store to dispute these charges last night, they told me only the manager could handle it and she was "on a three-hour phone call" and told me to come back the next day. Today I called Verizon Corporate directly, and thanks to a helpful representative, I was able to get about $200 refunded. He told me to go back to the store to talk to the manager Taryn. I was simply asking them to correct the inappropriate charges they added, but her attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the entire process. She acted as if I was inconveniencing her by requesting what was rightfully owed. After reading other Yelp reviews, I realized I'm not the only one they've done this to. If you must come here, double-check everything and do not let them "help" with anything unless you want surprise fees added to your bill. I highly recommend avoiding this location. read more

Doug was friendly, very efficient, knowledgeable, explained trade in deals well, and assisted with the transfer of all data, photos, apps, contacts, etc. from our old phone / iCloud. He suggested future accessories / plans we might want to get later. We went to the Apple Store first, but got a better deal with Verizon with our trade ins. I was really worried because I accidentally deleted all of my photos. My kids tried everything to help but the pics were not recovered. When I arrived, Douglas was outstanding. Clay was very dishonest with our deal switching from AT&T to Verizon. As I see in other posts I should have read the reviews and questioned more while in the store. We too got caught in the trick bag of screen protectors and cases being "free with the promotion" and when going through the bill after the fact realizing that we were charged $120 per phone for the crap case and snake oil screen protector. We tried saying over and over we don't want the screen protectors and Clay kept saying why not it's paid for!?! Until we all just gave in and said what the heck. When confronting Clay the next day and his manager they said that they would never use the word free. As I see that in other posts they're simply stating the legality of the matter that "yes we screwed you but we never said it was free technically" On another note Clay made sure that we knew the promotion for the phone upgrade was only available on the highest payment plan. Does anyone know if this is true? It was the promotion for $700 bill credit for the new phone with eligible trade in. If this is not true he got us on another one!! That makes our bill $50 per line instead of $35. Clay also kept telling us that we cannot unlock our phones from AT&T to switch to Verizon and we have to buy new phones. I called him on it and said I know that we can and he rephrased to it's much easier to not have to deal with it. I was fine paying a couple hundred for a new phone and the promotions as he explained it was actually completely free but looking at the bill that wasn't the case anyway. I was there about 2 weeks ago with my mom and brother. My brother and I got the new iPhone 11 and our mom got the newest Android (not familiar with those phones, sorry). We were helped by employee Derek who was great with helping and talking us through everything we needed to know. Both of our old iPhones needed to be backed up, which took about 2 days. Derek checked in with us everyday to let us know how far the phones have come. He even went as far as checking in during the week to see how the phones have been for us. He got us on a new up to date plan and saved $20 a month on our bill. We received a trade in value of $180 for our old iPhone 8's, and only walked out paying $78 in the store. All in all, it was a very nice, and professional store. I like the fact it's in Downtown Summerlin, you can get a new phone and go walk around after! My boyfriend and I went in last night to switch from AT&T to Verizon. Charles was SUPER helpful. He made the process of switching from one carrier to another super painless. Additionally, he made sure we understood all the options for the different phones, different plans, and any discounts and add-ons that we qualified for. I went to resign and take advantage of incentives in order to get a phone upgrade. They signed me up but didn't process correctly or fed me a load of bull. I went in around Mother's Day of this year to get myself a new phone. I've never had issues transferring photos, contacts, etc from my old phone to my new phone in the store before so I didn't think twice about it. I was transferring photos from my old phone to my new phone in the store. I was totally happy with waiting as I knew I had a lot to transfer. I have 3 kids and take a lot of pictures and have a hard time cleaning it out because I love them all. So my original person that's helping me goes on lunch and a girl comes to "help" finish. Checks my phone and says it's done transferring. Did I believe her? Yes. Was that smart of me? Thinking about it now.. no. But she works there.. she should know what she's doing and like I said before I've NEVER had an issue before in the last 14 years I've been with Verizon. I asked her if she wanted to check or if I needed to continue to stay to make sure it was all there and she seemed annoyed with me and told me I'm all set. She had me factory reset my old phone. I left the store with my 2 kids while being pregnant with my 3rd. Tired and ready to play with my new phone. I got home and realize NO pictures were on my new phone. NONE. I lost THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of pictures. They told me they would have their manager call me to try to help and nothing. I would call and text the person who helped me and they basically told me I'm SOL. I'm so upset by the actions of this store. No sorry, no nothing. I'm still in disbelief that I lost thousands of pictures and a couple years of my children's lives. They are so important to me and they just didn't care. Not one bit. We ventured into the Verizon store in Downtown Summerlin & were instantly greeted, offered water etc. We had some complex needs & requirements, yet our representative Clay was warm, open, informative & honest. He went out of his way to ensure we (My husband & I) found the correct phone, price points, accessories etc. Even going so far as to have the manager drive miles to another store to find us what we wanted. What a world of difference & positivity change from our previous carrier. In fact, every member of the Summerlin store were extremely gracious & helpful. The employee at the store Doug failed to tell us we had to register a promo code within 30 days otherwise we wouldn't get the gift cards. We waited about 3 weeks for the gift cards to come after nothing showed up we went into the store and all they told us was we had to call corporate. Long story short, it ended up taking 4 more weeks, and phone call after phone call to the store manager Taylor, and corporate to finally get a credit to our account and not the gift cards... I went in to switch my phone from an iPhone 8 Plus to the iPhone 11. I was told by all three employees working that since the iPhone X came out- you can choose a case a screen protector for free to go w it. I asked over ten times mentioning how that's crazy and how much is the difference or what's going on. No straight answer just that it's free w all the discounted rates when it adds up. I leave and look at the receipt and it says I was charged FULL for both items. No discounts nothing. $60 screen protector and $50 case (that I would've never bought if I knew the price I'd pay). I ask at the end how much it would've been if I didn't do the case and screen protector- Trevor that works there said $220. Then I asked how much w the two items- he said $227. So, logically sure I do the deal. Then I call the location today (9/29/19) to get clarification- the employee said "I know Trevor personally and I know for sure he would never say free". So the employee I spoke to today is calling me a liar? And that he is the acting manager today. I had to ask who the real manager is to get him to tell me that he will make a note for the real manager (name given he said was Taylor) to call me on Monday. Do not go to this location. I'm out over $100 bc they wanted to take advantage and lie to get a sale. Absolutely ridiculous. I called Verizon and they said since it wasn't charged through the actual account and I paid full on my card in store they can't do anything. Can't trust anyone when they tell you anything anymore. I went to another location to ask- and the employee there told me no discounts were added and that they probably didn't want to tell me the truth bc if I denied the offer of a phone case and screen protector they'd have to go get the manager to clear the sale. Unreal. Very disappointed. I can't even return the screen protector bc Trevor put it on at the store before I even paid for anything and it's a liquid solution that doesn't just come off. If I could give them negative 100 star I would. The worst phone company and the worst branch to do business with. My family has been customers for over 10 years and they continue to steal money from us. On November 14th 2020 I and my family went into Verizon to pick up and activate our pre ordered phones. Problem number one they lost one of the phones in transit and could not locate it( it was preordered for over a month) problem number two: we were fully aware we had to pay money to upgrade our phones which was no problem at all. In total we were told we had to pay 400 dollars. At the end of the day I'm looking on my bank statement and the took 800 dollars from us. I called them and they said they had to talk to their "higher ups" to verify that they took 800 dollars from us even though I had the bank statement to show them that they took that money. It is now 1/8/2021 and the money has NEVER been put back into the account. Problem number three: we had 3 phones that were gonna be traded in for store credit and put on for our upcoming phone bill. One phone we got around 300 for the second we got around 500 and the 3rd we never got any store credit for it just magically disappeared. Now we are getting a phone bill for store merchandise for 1,700. not only did they take our trade ins and gave me paperwork stating the amount of money that will be put towards my next bill they are no CHARGING ME FOR THEM. we went into the store to speak to a manager and Charles actually raised his voice at me amd called me a liar. left my mother completely in shock and speechless. Bank statements don't lie. They took all this money right before Christmas and now they are taking more money right into the new year. Customer support is unwilling to help us. THEY ARE THIEVES. My overall on Verizon communication and wireless is less stars. Ah the difficulties of animation answers, lost calls, only certain hours of availability and various range of other experience or lack of, over the years have often left me with more stress than a customer should ever have. The hours of asking for help in hopes that when one gets an operator on the phone, that they might be knowledgeable enough to actually help, have varied. Tonight's review, however, is not about a specific store or of the many, but more about my most immediate experience to ask for help when calling them for cell phone assistance. Las Vegas is where the phone operator "Antonishia" was from. Though first I spoke with Kieaire from Alabama. Who tried to talk me through what I had been trying to accomplish for quite some time on the phone, something that would seem as simple as adding an email, connecting, putting it on the screen and being aware when there were new emails. My patience was exhausted. Though she handed my frustration attitude well; not have the ability to do a share session and after repeated attempts and a call to Motorola; she finally directed me to the tech Antonishia of whom took over the call and signed in to my phone. While she spent over an hour on the phone share getting done what I had needed in conversation, I was informed by Antonishia that Kieaire actually held a higher position but in a different department area. I was surprised also, at the 94 sites that were still open and needed closing on my phone that I had never been aware were open and better off closed. I am not quite sure where that app or location is to close them, I will need to look again. It is something cell phone users should ask their carriers about. The history section can also be swiped clean. I gather different phones have slightly different spots for these features. My experiences usually direct me to a local Retail store and if they are not too busy, they more than not can assist to make adjustments on phone itself. Anyone who has tech issues can call the number and go through the prompts in efforts to connect to a live operator. If you have not found out already, it can and usually does take quite some time to get things done. Wanting to get this issue of mine corrected finally, I did call tonight and Antonishia was able to help. Even though I know that I will likely never get them again should I have to call for the next bit of support, I am taking time now to acknowledge the efforts of these two ladies. read more

Having been with Verizon for over 10 years, this Verizon location felt different....only to find out later it's under a different corporate name, "Victra". It felt like the employees for this location are also paid on commission/bonus. Kyle that works there was very aggressive that I purchase the protection plan, phone case, glass cover, and charging nut for my new iPhone through their store. He relentlessly spent at least a good 15 minutes going at it. It started as just trying to get me to make those purchases but when I kept refusing, Kyle shifted toward using scare tactics. He said my new iPhone will degrade and get battery damage if I don't get their nut charger. He also repeated about 5 times whether I was ready to fork out $1300 for a new phone if my new one breaks or have water damage. He cooled off a bit when I asked him about cancelling my iPhone purchase since I did not take possession yet....and he was more helpful after that. Simple agreement was provided to me for approx $120 per month, all inclusive. I was billed this amount, plus was charged for travel pass because I spend considerable time in the Bahamas. The rep said I was charged travel pass $10 per day ( $300 per month ) based on the fact they sent me a text message. While Verizon might have provided text message, I DID NOT AGREE. As of this writing Paris Fuller ( paris.fuller@verizonwireless.com ) is proving a credit for one month, and removing travel plan off my phone. The initial agreement was made in writing, no mention of travel pass. Paris Fuller recognized the error, yet would not provide credit for the entire over charges. read more

After switching carriers, bought 3 new phones from them and being new customers they flat out refused to help straighten out a situation that was their fault. Holy cow what a horrible place and what a rip off too. First off, they have a sticker on the outside of the building that states they are an official Verizon dealer. I asked the sales manager and the sales rep if they were an official Verizon dealer. The response, "yes". According to Verizon itself "THEY ARE NOT". According to Diamond Wireless' own contract "THEY ARE NOT" they are "A third party service provider". Secondly, holy D-bag staff adding to the stereotype that Las Vegas locals rip off everyone they meet. Not only the misleading of the Verizon affiliation, but just overall D-bag arrogance and that Las Vegas club industry creepy vibe feel. Especially the sales rep by the name of Nick (you're lucky I lost your card because you're so unmemorable or I would use your full name for this review). This punk is about 23-24 years old and thinks he's king of the world. In reality, it's kind of Jersey Shores meets Donald Trump without any of the money accept for what mommy and daddy (who happen to live a few blocks away in Red Rock) gave him to dress way nicer than the job pays. Anyways, don't bother to ask any questions of any of the staff, you are actually treated as a second class citizen the whole time. If your questions are answered, it's with a disdain of arrogance, misdirection, or a flat out lie. For example; Question: "Do you match prices" from Amazon.com? Answer given by sales manager: "Yes". Question: "Do your contracts have any kind of fees, i.e. service fee, connection fee, retailer fee etc...". Answer given by both Nick and his sales manager: "No". Then, moving forward, the first contract they try to get you to sign is not a price match at all to Amazon.com, in fact, it was $50.00 more plus tax. When I pushed the phone back and said I was no longer interested, they changed the contract. Second, they not so slyly give a small digital pad to you to sign. In extremely small print it states that there is a $40.00 "connection fee" for Diamond Wireless. Question: "This fee is waived, correct?" "There are absolutely no fees for the upgrade." Answer given by Nick and his sales manager: "Yes". Moral of the story, if you got screwed by Jersey Trump and his accomplice(s), call Verizon and complain. I did not receive my $40.00 back, but I did receive $20.00 off my bill for the next 12 months.
