Avoid all Russell Cellular stores. They are not real Verizon representatives. I bought a new Verizon phone from Verizon online with a defective sim card, and Russell Cellular won't look at it or service it without charging $100. They should not have the Verizon logo on the door either. read more

We had to spend close to $3000 just because of their negligence. They are so terrible at responding. Once they have the money and the business they don't care anymore. We are a non-profit supporting indigent clients, This $3000 could have ensured a roof over someones head for 2-3 months!!!! I am so outraged!!! Went into store in April 2023 to see if you could really get a phone FREE with upgrade. Sale clerk made me believe that I could get two phone FREE. We turned in our phones thinking I would only have to pay some fees. OH, NO! After three calls to Verizon and someone who could really help me explained that these phones were not FREE. I guess some of this is my fault for trusting people. Now I am under a contract that I cannot paid off these FREE phones and have to pay for these FREE phones for 36 months. I feel that not only did the store failed but also Verizon because I could not get the truth for until after my 3rd call. Makes me think if I should stay with Verizon after these 36 months for paying for two FREE phones. read more

Omg - terrific service! Came in to upgrade my mother's phone to an iphone. Jared and Jeff were so wonderful!! Great customer service! We hit a few issues because her phone was so old and they were so patient and helpful. They ended up manually transferring her contacts for her. I will never use another Verizon again. I went in on a Saturday afternoon in a panic I had smashed the screen of my iPhone 7 Jared was wonderful. When we discovered that my phone was "unfixable", he not only started the insurance claim, he finished it for me. We where here form out of town I had bought a Samsung 8 plus 5 months ago and I was having problems charging turns out the port was defeated so we asked the guy to help us out we where told that warranty would not cover the phone because they did not know what caused the problem this guy did not even ask me what my phone number was to see if I had a warranty or even try to to sell me a upgrade. The phone is well taken care of so I called Verizon wireless and was taken care of with out any issues and are getting a replacement phone ASAP! I just don't think this guy wanted to help us at all this is a good way to run people away ! read more

If I could give them no stars for customer service I would. I am sharing my bad overall experience with Jeffrey and Freeman at the Montvale Ave, Stoneham location. I was concerned about switching from my former provider because I would owe them a large balance. I mentioned this several times and each time was assured that I would be able to pay off the majority of my balance by receiving credits and gift cards up front. Of course that isn't the case. They have now changed their story. I will receive my credit in the form of $40.00 monthly for 24 months and a small gift card amount. Total bait and switch. I may or may not have signed something explaining the police, however I was signing many things at once and trusting the these people were telling the truth. It was uninformed consent. the location was very unorganized and unsure of how to complete many things. At one point Jeffery the "manager" told me to bring my phones to him and he would "take care of everything." I dropped them off only to be called back in to pick them up. When I questioned him as to why he wasn't "taking care of everything" I was told that he was doing me a favor by filling out some form for me but he couldn't take then as trade-ins. It's not a favor if I'm inconvenienced by going out of my way to have him do something I could have done by phone. Initially he comes across as being helpful but really he doesn't know what he's doing and anytime you have to talk to him he over talks you and doesn't want to hear what you have to say. I wanted to speak to Freeman who is a district or regional manger but Jeffery called me back everytime. Believe me you don't not want to talk to him anymore than you have to. He would not give me Freemans contact information. In the end I was told it was a "he said, she said" situation. I, of course am on the losing end. Now I'm stuck with a lousy experience and I'm roped into 24 months and my Sprint account going into collection. Steer clear of this location and their unfriendly customer practices. read more
