I purchased a very low mile pre-owned 2024 BMW R1300GS. Unfortunately when the motorcycle was delivered to me it did not have the spare key or tool kit which BMW includes in their new sales of the motorcycle. (Obviously both very important to have.) During the purchase I should have been informed that both would not be included in the sale. I called as well as emailed about this post-sale but never received an answer to this issue. I was called two weeks after I posted this on Google and was told they errored and would be sending me a spare key and tool kit. That never happened. Sales manager approached me to discuss my review and asked what they can do for me to take down review. I stated do you have a 2023 GoldWing (Black) to sell, answer was no. The salesman gave us the best price on a new Gold Wing on July 29. After the sale, we discovered the trade-in part of the final sale had been seriously compromised. We subsequently made no less than six contacts with VE. Some of the contacts were totally ignored and some got run around replies. We repeatedly asked for the name and contact info of the owner, but that request was never acknowledged. If the owner happens to read this, we would appreciate hearing from you. read more

Talked to 3 different salesman before one would actually communicate with me. Then I do the trade evaluation online and get a call from a manager (which I have the name of) gave me an offer I accepted said I need a purchase agreement for my bank. I got one signed by the same manager. Went the next morning got my own loan. Payed off my trade in and Motoplex then contacted my banker a wanted a copy of lien release and proof it was paid off and title going to them. Which he did. And then when we were ready to sign papers another manager came over and said he needed $750 to boot because of some issues on mine. I said I got a loan for what you told me too. Now my trade wasn't in my name anymore I looked. So they had me in a corner i either paid it because of I went back on the deal. Then I would have to get a new loan again which is a fee and I'd have to register my trade in again with the state. Since it was marked sold. DONT RECOMMEND AT ALL VERY SHADY. read more

I am very disappointed in VE, I have bought a unit and they have treated me like absolut garbage. It has been almost 2 months and my unit still hasn't got to me. Everytime I try to get information about it they get all snappy at me and say that I am bothering them and that they are very busy. I feel like VE shouldn't take anymore work on till they have time to fill the orders they have in a timely manner. They don't care how upset you are for spending thousands of dollars on something and never getting it. As long as the money is in their hands you as a customer don't matter. I am very upset with VE considering I choose this dealership from people that recommend them to be a great dealer but I've been shown the complete opposite. I also have to drive 3hrs away to get my unit when it comes in. They are telling me it could be 3months 6 months or a year it's whenever they get caught up. I wouldn't recommend VE until they can figure out how to put the customer first. read more

Would not recommend this dealership. They had the bike I wanted in stock so the purchase was arranged over the phone as I live 250 miles away. Everything got approved and arranged fairly seamlessly and was told everything was in order to come pick up the machine. As requested by the sales person Rich, I let him know we were 30 mins out and on track for the arrival time. After getting to the dealership and waiting for him to finish the customer in front of me he was able to show me the bike, which had not even been wiped down and was covered in dust. That's fine, it's the bike I wanted. Then came time to do the paperwork. It definitely wasn't ready to go as I was told, had to wait around another half hour to get that ready. Then a brutal hour long pre paid MX and extended warranty pitch from the finance department, also not interested. After signing all the paperwork Rich the salesman told me it would be a little while before I could load it because he had started with another customer. Really? After getting the bike home I saw Indian has a $750 credit for veterans which I qualify for but was told it had to be applied at the time of purchase and Rich "was not aware of the coupon at the time, I will take the blame for missing the boat on it". It is clear my purchase of a new bike was not appreciated by the salesman or the dealership. I highly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Worked up numbers on a trade for classic camaro, for 1966 mustang. Purchase made with agreement on trade in condition, Verified with extensive photos of car to be traded in and or also videos. Shipment of car Vern Eddie Motorplex. Car was delivered as agreed upon, at that point dealer elected for no trade in, costing me thousands of dollars in shipping with the impression the deal was final. I would do my leg work before I do any business, or recommend anybody doing business with this company. read more

What a joke. I worked with Sales on a 2023 GoldWing, back on 12/22/2023, told them I would go online to do the financing (since Honda had a lower rate). Dec 28th I called VE, got voicemail for finance and I left a message. I also sent email to them. No word from VE for days, I called again on 1/2/2024 and again voice mail I was put into, left message and again email. On Jan 8th I called and said I want to talk to someone in person, was put with a finance person and was told, that they have my information and have not started any work on it. Since they were opening multiple locations, he was going to call my sales guy and finance at the new store and have them call me back within an hour. Jan 12th, and still NO call back, I get a credit report in the mail stating Vern Eide was running my credit. I also see that bike I'm looking at purchasing is now showing "Pending". Jan 31st I get letter from Vern Eide, credit report shows excellent credit but we cannot give you a loan. What the F#$%....never heard of a person not getting a loan because of outstanding credit score (numbers are all maxed numbers). I called Feb 2nd to get a better answer on why and was told that the bike was sold to someone else. Now I'm pissed, VE dropped the ball and gave the stupid excuse, we were opening two new locations on 1/2/2024. My response, everyone in Finance was moving bikes? No one could answer or do processing on any given day? Stay away from this company, they do not know how to conduct business and customer service. Go to Storm Lake, Iowa - much better sales and they actually do work with you to get your bike and at a much better price. read more

1.5 year ago had rusty jones at motorplex do a rake kit. It was delivered to my house since it was winter and the front end was making a terrible screeth when I fired it up 2 months later in the front end and also the new fork seal blew out. Took it back to motorplex and they wouldn't warranty any of it... since rusty dosnt work there any more. Worst service possible. Decided to give them another shot and called them 2 weeks ago and told them about my lower fairing kit I bought and asked them to install it. Brought it in explained it to the guy. He called me the next day explain they couldn't wire in lower fairings?!?! Hahaha what kinda of service department is this? Had to get rides and drop of my bike. Gave them the Fairing kit manufacturing twice before bringing it in. They never even looked it up. What a Joke. Place is terrible ashamed that I bought a bike from them. And spent 5k on a front end. Do not buy from them or service. Go to competition cycles What's a Joke or dealership. Would suggest new service managers. Wish I could rate them a negative star read more

Drove over three hours one way, 140 in diesel pulling a trailer, a day off of work and 4 hours at the dealership. First issue was I bought a sled with electric start but the sled they were going to give me did not have electric start. Worked through that issue, found one with electric start. Then was told that the service department screwed up and the recall fix could not be done (this was not a Polaris mix up this was all on Vern Eide) so I left with an empty trailer. I asked for a discount on the accessories I bought (over $800.00) as a good will gesture for all of my time and money spent to come there for nothing but was told they can't do that. You and I both know that the mark up on that stuff, they could have done something and not been out anything really. Very disappointed in VE at this point, they have a chance to work on some service recovery and make this a lot better experience but time will tell. I will update my review once I get to pick up my sled and see if the customer service changes. UPDATE: Picked up sled. I will give VE some kudos. They gave me a gift card to help with some of my time and expense, three different staff came up to me to apologize and thank me for coming back and they got me back on the road fairly quick. Was not impressed at all. Sure I bought a new RZR but anything I asked about for details about the machine or letting me decide what I want didn't matter. All they did was push push push. It was do you want it or not. Could not explain anything and didn't know a thing about the machine and the other options with whether was parts or warranty or anything. Got a great price on my trade, and their customer service was above and beyond. Instead of leaving you sit in the showroom for an hour waiting for paperwork, Dan will take you around to meet other employees of the dealership, and chat about your new purchase. Very disappointed. I purchased a used Polaris Ranger from Vern Eide Motoplex. I did test drive it, with that being an understandable hassle, and I did sign an "as is" agreement, but... I have never experienced more pressure in a purchase decision before and have had to spend over 40 percent of the purchase price in repairs to get most of the vehicles parts in good condition. I feel terrible about myself but, I don't see how any respectable dealer could represent themselves selling a product in the condition in which I received mine. read more

I purchased an 08 Yamaha Raider for 8000.00 from this place. The bike had some extra stuff on it that I liked so when I decided to purchase it, I did not try to haggle on the price. I put a 500.00 non refundable deposit to hold my bike until the rest of my funds were available and ready to send. Saturday I completed my purchase. I called 5 minutes after they opened. Im calling from Portland Oregon so their is a 2 hour time difference. He accepts my money and tells me that Im going to get a call to finish the paper work with a finance person. Being so early in the morning I expected to get a call in 30 minutes of my purchase. Call did not come. I texted Brock my sales person and told him I have to be at work soon myself and would love to take care of things before I have to be there. He said he would check and he texted back said hes going to call you soon. Ok. Now its an hour later. So I drive to work and text him from the parking lot of my job and told him I would do my best to catch the call but now Im at my job. I skipped my first break trying to create time so I can take the call. I would take my break when they called. No call. I switched lunch breaks with someone and took a later lunch waiting for this phone. When I texted Brock about when is this person going to call, his response was that they are busy. Well I am busy to!! But he wasn't to busy to take my money! I called 5 minutes after they opened, so unless there was a line of people out side the building ready to buy motorcycles, I don't understand why they could not make this call hours earlier. Brock also could have picked up the phone and just told me that is was just to busy for them and they would have to call me the next day. That's not hard. But instead he just kept saying they were going to call. Damon the finance manager calls 2 days later a couple hours before they closed. SD time. I was frustrated to say the least. I had a tone of disappointment and was extremely short with him. He never asked if there was a problem, and could care less. Also I asked Brock and Damon both for an "APPROXIMATE" release date of the bike now that I had paid for it and sent him proof of wire transfer from my bank. Multiple times I asked them both in one week. My question was ignored. Because of this fuel shortage and the Russian war prices on fuel were jumping fast. I wanted to book my delivery. Again, I asked multiple times but they both would not answer my question. My first quote was 1073.00 for delivery to Portland Oregon. One week later I said screw it, Im going to book it anyways and when I did my quote was 200.00 more! I had no choice but to book it. Damon and Brock both are really bad at their jobs. This whole experience was horrible. At one point Brock offers to send a hat and a tshirt in a text which I did not even respond to. He never called to ask what size I wear which tells me he was never going to send it anyways. I would not do business here again. I would not recommend doing business with them to anyone I know. read more

I had morning appointment Thursday to have my sleds checked out. They didn't get to them until late ( 4 pm). I spent the whole day in sioux falls waiting for my "morning appointment". I was there by 9am. Then when they got them in one service guy ran my sled in dry pavement into the service area. Then they crashed one of my sleds into the bench in the work area and scratched the crap out if my custom paint job!!! Not very happy with this place!! read more

I do not live near Vern Eide Motoplex but I found the dirt bike I wanted online. After repeated requests to get the paperwork (for almost a month), I realized there was not enough time for me to get it, sign it, and get it back to make the proper arrangements for my brother to pick it up. Consequently, I changed my plans to pick it up myself. I let the salesman know that I would be there by 1:30 PM, and I had a time constraint. He assured me that he could get everything taken care of in about a half hour. We were in contact throughout the day - he knew an hour before and 10 minutes before I arrived. I was disappointed to find that the brand new bike was not running well because it had old gas. We spent an hour and a half at Vern Eide waiting for it. This should have all been addressed earlier in the week...or earlier in the month! Now that I am home, I have had trouble keeping the bike running. I am guessing that I will need to have the carburetor cleaned and overhauled to get it running well. I sent a letter to Vern Eide Motoplex in May 2015 to address my concerns, and I have heard nothing. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DO NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

Purchased a new sea doo jet ski from them was not impressed told him three days before hand (when I put down the deposit to hold the machine)that I was coming out to buy the jet ski and would be short on time to have everything ready to go Sales rep was to busy talking to everyone else but me took 2 1/2 hours to get the paperwork done ( I didn't finance I paid cash) had to go and find the salesman three different times kept sneaking off to talk to other customers that were just looking instead of finishing the deal that was in front of him Would not say it was a great experience. read more

If I could give a 0 as the most awful experience I would. Run from this place. Bought a bike in the middle of September . We agreed on a new rear tire. I told them not to send the title I would pick it up instead of running around for it. I get a call from the Damon finance guy . I had to resign the paper work as they has used white out and the bank wouldn't accept that. Really a legal document and you use white out!!!! When I went in and resigned the paperwork I asked about the title. He said Kim would call me to set it up to pick it up. Now another 2 weeks no call on the title or the tire. I called them and they said to bring it in the following week as we were going on vacation and they would get it done while we were gone. I dropped off the bike on Tuesday October 8th. When we got home from vacation, there was a certified letter that had been sent to our house. Do these people not talk to each other, do NOT send the title.. On Monday October 14th I went in to get my bike. The first guy said we don't have your bike Really!! where the crap is my bike. a different guy came in and said oh its not done yet. OMG while I am coming unglued about my bike not being done, I wanted why the title had been sent when 3 people had been told not to send it. They called me the next day at 10a and said it was done oh really can't get today as it is freezing outside. Went in on Wed. My bike was sitting outside with the keys in it. I got on and drove away without going inside. Not one person came out. My husband sat there 10 minutes and when no one came out he went in. I will never send anyone to this place for a bike or service of any kind. RUN!!!! Then I get a call to see how my experience was buying a bike ha ha do you really want the truth!! read more
