I love my vet doctor alaquin She is the best. Always a comfort to me knowing she is there for your furbaby. She treated my Romeo for 8 years . And was so patient and caring. My boy loved her and so do I. The staff is the best

dr scott doesn't return phone calls as a person i would feel comfortable with call the office after he killed our dog trying to caĺ him back with a hypothesis on why he was killed he couldn't be bothered to call back. he also couldn't call back when he was alive. as caring as he sounds it's bs and a job to him....return a phone call.... to all the women out there from 12 to 99 keep tour feminine hygiene products away from your dogs. don't know if this was the main problem or part of the problem but now we will never know because our dog is dead a little lesson when a dog eats a feminine hygiene product its gastric let's say juices will accumulate in the product and also dry out the bottom of its esophagus causing the animal to try and eject what's there. But with hydration it may be over comed. But left untreated it will lead to the animals demise. Not a doctor but went thru it with a beloved animals demise. Doctor this goes for you and your fellow colleagues wether the woman is menstruating or lives past that age, urinary incontinence could effect woman till they past (100+) ask? Looking back I firmly believe that's why Damion was put to sleep , why he love eating those appliances I do not know my wife got careless with them and we would find them eaten. Do a search there are many more reasons than answers for this behavior. I just want to save one puppy and family from this anguish .... that's all I want to do in this, it was preventable and unnecessary, and it hurts. May GOD bless all of yous.

We take our mini dachshund here. It's a solid dependable vet. Well-priced. They make a fuss because my dog is so damn cute.

This kennel is absolutely amazing. After being thoroughly disappointed with another kennel I used…read morefor an overnight stay, I was apprehensive to leave my big Great Dane babies anywhere at all. Susan, the owner, spent a good ten minutes in the phone with me discussing her approach to care when I simply called to check availability. Here's just a few reasons I will never use another kennel again (assuming my pups are welcome back!) 1) The level of expertise. Susan knows dogs. The kennel is prepared for all breeds, which is not always the case with giants. She takes care to ensure the dogs are not integrated with other dogs at the kennel (which is nothing but a recipe for disaster). I was not worried that other pups with a Napoleon complex would attack my big guys nor was I worried that my big guys would accidentally pull a Lennie from "Of Mice and Men" on a smaller dog. 2) Communication. Susan either answers the phone or responds to phone calls/emails within moments. She is keenly aware of what is happening with each dog under her watch and encourages you to call and check in on them. I never even felt like I needed to say who I was when I called. I said my first name and she knew. 3) Pick up / Drop off is handled perfectly. She has a capable and knowledgeable staff and runs her business like a well oiled machine. There is no nonsense and no fuss. Just an expert who knows exactly what she is doing. 4) Flexibility. My flight home was cancelled and I had no idea when I could get it rescheduled. This was met with a shrug from Susan who simply said "Worry about the kids you're chaperoning on your school trip... we'll worry about the pups." I am confident that even if Susan had a fully booked kennel (which she likely had), that she would've figured out a way to extend their stay if I needed. 5) "Extras." I thought to myself: "I really don't need the bath option before pick up..." but I did it anyway. I'm so glad I did. My dogs looked (and smelled) wonderful when I picked them up. And one of my pups absolutely abhors baths (which I didn't warn Susan about). She and her team managed anyway. Get the bath option. There's no other way to take them home. Also, she freely admits that although she knows the vaccination status of neighboring dogs in the kennel she cannot possibly know if vermin or other ickiness is being transmitted. The bath is important before taking them home. I hesitate to call it an "extra" 6) Pricing. I actually hesitated before committing to Applewood because I thought their pricing was uncannily low in comparison with others in the area. This should only emphasize the commitment that Susan and her team have to their craft and business. It's not a "money grab" (which is certainly how I felt about the last place where I kenneled my pups for one night). Here's the best sign that this kennel is a great place to bring your pups: my guys weren't all that excited to see me when I picked them up. As much as that might seem strange, that is the highest compliment the dogs themselves can give of the place. I was so nervous leaving on this vacation. But because of Applewood, I could completely let go of the worry about my big babies. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Soon after that, she moved and opened her own practice an hour away in New Milford, New York - Jockey Hollow Veterinary Practice. My dogs and I, at least once a year, take a one hour drive up to see our favorite vet for their annual exam and shots. I highly recommend Jockey Hollow Veterinary Practice, Dr. Jennie Rubenstein, and her entire staff. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

I had been bringing my cat here for routine care, and until recently my experiences with the…read moregeneral staff had been positive. Unfortunately, my experience with a surgical consultation completely changed my confidence in the practice. My cat has had a fluid-filled tail cyst for quite some time. I scheduled a consultation to discuss surgical removal, as that had always been the plan. During the appointment, the veterinarian performed a fine needle aspiration of the cyst. I was surprised this was done since the cyst had already been identified as fluid-filled, but I trusted his judgment. I also noticed the area was not cleaned before or after the aspiration, although I assumed there may have been a reason for that. A few days later, my cat's tail became much more swollen and painful. He was hissing when touched, and I took him to an emergency veterinarian because I was concerned. Whether or not those events were related, I can't say with certainty, but the timing prompted me to contact the practice to discuss my concerns and better understand what had been done. The response I received was disappointing. The veterinarian briefly returned my call, was very short with me, and ended the conversation by saying someone else would call. When the practice manager called, I felt my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. During the conversation, I was told that they would have amputated my cat's tail and that I was "lucky" someone else had seen him. When I said I planned to seek a second opinion, I requested my records be sent over. I was told, "When you get that second opinion, they can just do your vet care too," which made it clear they no longer wished to continue treating my pet. I also wasn't comfortable with the surgeon's handling of my cat during the consultation. It felt overly forceful for a nervous cat, and it added to my discomfort during the visit. I understand that complications can happen in veterinary medicine, and I wasn't looking to assign blame. I simply wanted my concerns taken seriously, to have an open conversation about what happened, and to feel that my cat's wellbeing was the priority. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and unwelcome. Based on my experience, I would be comfortable using this practice for routine veterinary care, as the support staff has always been kind. However, I would personally seek a different practice for surgical consultations or more complex medical care
