So unprofessional and they rush everything, I've gotten diagnosed wrong TWICE at this urgent care.

The doctor is dirty and unprofessional wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants legit don't know if he's actually a doctor with a medical degree?? Pretty sure he just watches a show on his computer in between patients. He saw me for about a minute asked a couple questions and said he's prescribing me antibiotics and ear drops for an ear infection. I had to ask him to actually test me for strep or mono and he acted like it was too much to ask for. At least the nurse assistants that take the blood and vitals are nice. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They claimed they couldn't verify my insurance and claimed there was nothing they could do because their system was down. They told me they couldn't give me an itemized bill of sale showing me what I paid for. That my insurance wouldn't be able to reimburse me if I show them an itemized bill anyways. When asking for an explanation about everything above and I will admit I was starting to be visibly frustrated and irritated, the MA just kept saying "so do you want to be seen or not". Over and over again, interrupting the questions I was trying to ask. After a $125 charge, which they were able to charge me but couldn't verify my insurance because the system was down. I was able to finally have the visit of less than 5 minutes, which even after going into an in depth explanation about my allergies with the MA, did not write it down because the doctor prescribed me the exact medication I'm allergic to. Also no one else had issues with insurance verification while I was there. I 100% would have left if it wasn't a pressing issue I needed an answer for and was sent by my employer. The ma or cna who did help me, stepped in and made sure I did get my itemized bill with what I paid for and also just has much more mature bedside manner. I called my insurance who said they would be able to reimburse dependent on the paper work. My insurance agent also said that everything that took place seemed very off, they shouldn't have been able to charge me if their system was down and should have sent me a bill in the mail if it was an insurance verification issue due to their system being down. read more

I do not recommend people of African decent to come here for care. The doctor wouldn't even touch me to do a proper examination. He looked at me like he was disgusted. I waited for an hour and he talked to me for about 2 minutes. He didn't give me any advice just said he's going to prescribe me something and if it does not help I need to go see another doctor. Dr Sameer Huraibi MD was very professional. My mother was treated previously for bronchitis from her primary which prescribed a low dose steroid and antibiotic which was very strong on her stomach. So I had her get a second opinion and he did a great job. Starting by giving her a couple of shots to get her bronchitis under control and sent her home with a better antibiotic and upped her steroid to where it should be to get her better. Worse than bad. X ray operator did not know how to operate machine and took unnecessary x rays. Was made to come back twice for one appointment, three hours total. I walked out with nothing. Unsanitary, exposed outlets, worn down and totally disorganized. This place needs a health department inspection and its licensure revoked. read more

Finding this location on a whim was the best happenstance possible for me. Quick. Efficient. Professional, Clean and Spacious. Patients were Not sitting on top of one another. There is also a pharmacy on site which made the visit more convenient. You can literally one-stop shop your medical need/urgency to get good health care.....I arrived at 6:10P and was done by 7:15P (with my perception in hand!!) Thanks Nick! On a work trip and my coworker was injured. We looked up this place and it said open to 10PM. We arrive there at 9PM and assist my coworker into the building. My coworkers boyfriend goes to register her and we are told the don't see patients after 9. WTH...as we are trying to figure out why they are not seeing patients if they say they are open til 10. A very rude receptionist by the name of "Andrea" if that's even her name, she started laughing as she told us to go to the hospital. Even laughed more when I asked for her name. I hurt me foot, wanted to make sure nothing was fractured or broken. According to my foot surgeon friend in LA the X-rays at the clinic were very poor quality The doctor spent maybe a minute with me. He said it was sprained & if not better in a few days call this orthopedic surgeon, handed me the doctors number & left the room. I had to track him down to see the X-rays & get an explanation of my injury, he seemed annoyed about this. I asked him about crutches or a walking boot, he said no. Fortunately I had a friend with good health insurance who recently had a foot injury , I borrowed his knee scooter & walking boot. Otherwise I would have been immobile for 4 days. The best urgent care Doctor as far as I was concerned. He is the same Dr. Sameer Huraibi who initially started Van Buren Urgent Care in Belleville MI back in early 2010. That's it. So the girls at the front desk were very nice, that is the only positive thing about this place. I wanted to write a review because I saw the great reviews this place had on google and that's why I went there. I don't want other people to have to experience that I did. Dr. Beard talked to me for MAYBE 3 minutes and told me that my skin condition was pretty much nothing and that I just needed to leave it alone and it would heal. I explained to him my symptoms (which I found out later were EXACTLY the symptoms of a staph infection) and he said "never in my whole seven years of being a doctor have I heard of those symptoms". Which to me is crazy because I feel like you should be knowledgeable on staph infections if you are a "doctor". Long story short he sent me on my way and it got worse. I went to Emcura in Bloomfield Hills (which by the way is AMAZING) and they immediately said I had a staph infection. I was very pleased with my experience here . The staff was very professional the place was very clean and I did not have to wait that long from start to finish including the time it took to get my prescription . They have a pharmacy inside the urgent care which is also very convenient . The doctor that saw my son was very patient with him and listened to what I had to say which I appreciated . Went right in the morning after they opened.on a Tuesday.Spent over 1,5 hrs waiting for a 3 minute doctors visit. Got regular cold medicine (Benadryl etc) prescribed even though I've had a chest cold for a week and am supposed to get married this weekend! Made me wait ANOTHER 30 mins until the prescription arrived in the little pharmacy that is inside their waiting room. Waste of time. I wish I could give this zero stars. We went in with my infant son a few weeks ago when he had his first really bad fever. Based on reviews it seemed like a safe bet, but we were so wrong! A customer had vomited onto a chair, we informed the receptionist/nurse and she just laughed and walked away. NO ONE CAME TO CLEAN IT. Three different customers that came in after that almost sat in the vomit (it was bile and not super easy to spot on the black chairs), who knows if anyone ended up sitting in it. She took us to the back and took his temperature incorrectly, then didn't measure him properly. We got in an exam room (after a two hour wait) and noticed the exam table was dirty and missing the normal exam table paper. The doctor was friendly, but looked at our kid for about 3 minutes and diagnosed him with strep throat and ordered a high dose antibiotic. I understand urgent cares can't take the time like a doctor can, but its dangerous and wrong to behave the way they did. A few weeks later they sent us a bill, when we called they said they never bothered sending it to our insurance in the first place. Honestly, I'm not one to complain, but this was the worst service and experience I've ever had. Avoid this place! TLDR: - left vomit on chairs in waiting room - nurse couldn't take correct temperature/measurements - doctor make incorrect diagnosis with zero testing - didn't even bother trying to bill our insurance - dirty exam table with no exam table paper read more

Once again misdiagnosed at Vernor urgent care. This place is a mess! Waiting room Full (not socially distanced seating), 1/2 patients in waiting room were not wearing masks. But the worst pet is the care of the docs! Dr. diagnosed me with strep without even doing a swab or a rapid test! Put me on antibiotics which worsened my condition (a fungal infection of the throat) -and did not even test for Covid (turns out I was negative). Another doctor (at Henry Ford) then said you can't diagnose strep without a test. Was later tested (at Henry Ford) for both strep and Covid (both negative) before being diagnosed correctly with a fungal infection 6 weeks later!! The doctor saw me for less than 2 minutes before shuffling me out. Pros of this place; open late on the weekends, and really kind nurses and admin staff. I wonder, what are the docs doing here???! Positives: the place is clean and these are plenty of staff behind the front desk. The front desk is always decorated. Negatives: the doctor doesn't take the time to make a good diagnosis and is often wrong! If you go here be sure to follow up with your family doctor- This time the doctor MISSED diagnosing me with LYME DISEASE! I went in with a fever and a large ring around a bug bite - even after I explained that the fever came after the bite, the doctor diagnosed me with a stomach bug (though I had no vomiting or diarrhea) and unrelated bite infection. He did not ask me about tick exposure (I had been in a tick infested area) and prescribed me the wrong antibiotics. Several days later I was much sicker and both my doctor and a Dermatologist diagnosed me with Lyme disease which had since spread through out my body. Lyme Disease can be very hard to cure once it spreads and Dr. H missed it, gave me the wrong meds and put my health in danger.
