Everytime I show up for an appointment, no matter how rushed I've been, how bad traffic was, or the tone if the day, the first interaction when I walk in is her greeting. But more than that, she seems genuinely glad to see me. I tried eyebrow and face threading at Verve and I can tell you it's the best option for eyebrow shaping and hair removal, especially for those with sensitive skin. It's a relatively gentle and precise method that can offer lasting results and minimize the risk of irritation compared to hair removal methods like waxing. Treading is a new thing here in the states but has been used for centuries in the middle east, Iran and India. This technique requires a skilled and professional practitioner like Roya!! It's important to find a well-trained and experienced threading specialist like her. She is the best!!!! I've been seeing Kayla for two years now and there's so much to love about her styling! I went from super short to the normally "ugh" grow-out phase, and Kayla kept me looking and feeling great throughout. No small feat! She really listens to what you want and delivers to it. Three Words: Pixie Cut MAGIC. I have been having my hair cut by Kelsey at VerVe for about 2 years now and she is killing it. I like a very specific pixie with an undercut and she never goes too short and totally understands me when I express the frustration of it "mushrooming out." Apparently that means you need to "take some volume out" who knew? This LADY IS AMAZING. Kelsey is also a wonderful person to talk to, which definitely makes coming every 4-5 weeks so pleasant. Some other highlights I love about VerVe: although they do recommend products they never push them on you. They have an assortment of Aveda makeup products to try on while you wait. They also have great men's hair care products here which is essential to keeping your pixie in place. I really like VerVe. I found them through Instagram and my stylist Katie. She did a balayage and cut for me my first time and a cut the second time. It's been 5 months and my balayage still looks great. Katie is super friendly and makes you feel welcomed. Definitely check out their Instagram if you're interested in trying out their salon. I recommend Lili she is friendly and does a nice hair cut and color. I have seen one other person (she may have been new) she colored my hair and was quiet but nice. I didn't like that I had the dye stained forehead for a few days. I'll be seeing Lili next time. I went to Verve for years!! This past January, my regular stylist seemed to be having an "off day" or basically just had a mental breakdown while doing my hair. I left on verge of tears. My hair was completely butchered and she put so much "texture" at the ends my hair looked unhealthy. It was also MAJORLY crooked. Color was made brassy yellow. My 10 year old daughter asked if the stylist was mad at me. GREAT question, honey!! I went back and another stylist tried to fix the damage, but without going a lot shorter, there wasnt much that could be done. I have been growing my hair out now for 6 months, scared to have anyone touch it! I finally couldn't take it anymore and had my hair done at Circa 79 down the road. I love this place. Lily did cut and balayage for my daughter and myself. My daughter got her hair done right before her senior pictures. Thanks to Lily she looked like a model. Stylist was 30 minutes late. Whatever, I wasn't in a hurry. Warned her that I am prone to a line across the front of my hair and asked her to foil appropriately since I wear my hair back almost exclusively. She was seemingly in a hurry for her next appointment so I said "hey no worries, just blow dry and don't worry about styling me" (trying to be nice). She blew dry my hair for about two minutes and sent me out completely wet. I get home, pull my hair back and notice not one line across my forehead but TWO, three of you look closely. Many of the highlights still had about 1/2" to the root. Careless color job and my hair has never looked so bad. Obviously, I'm upset that I drove almost an hour for their best stylist (she teaches color at the salon) and my hair was trashed. $175 for this garbage color!? The only positive I can note is that the salon did refund me for the color. Not thrilled that I still paid around $50 for a very minor trim that she spent like 5 minutes on because she was in that hurry. I would absolutely not go to the stylist I saw. (I'm sorry that I can't remember her name, and probably wouldn't post it publicly regardless.) read more

I was in desperate need of a cut and color and a friend recommended Verve because of the product they use and her past experience. I came in to make and appointment for later in the day and was set up with Heather M. What a doll! She was very professional, gave good advice as well as her opinion without being pushy. I ended up with a cute new cute, great color, and hair that felt and looked so much healthier than when I came in. I'd be happy to use this location as well as Heather as my permanent stylist. Awesome salon....days later my hair still looks and feels healthy! For those of us who are color happy and have to switch looks every few weeks, the Aveda product they use make this slightly less damaging and stressful on our hair. Love it . read more

I was recommended to go here when I moved to Tucson by someone who lived here. I am so happy I went. I have traveled the world and got my hair colored by many different people and I can tell you I love this place for blondes. Everyone who works there is overly nice and welcoming. I come for a cut or trim and might splurge on a deep conditioning treatment every now and then. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and I really like when someone takes the time to style as such, rather than the typical blow out. I DESPISE getting my hair done - but this Verve Salon makes it a treat. No matter what service I have ordered (even a blowout) I receive at least one - sometimes two -scalp/neck/shoulder massages I leave refreshed rather than depleted, . The washing center is designed so well you could fall asleep - generously contoured to the neck. The salon is sedate, relaxed. No one is screaming over blaring music and hair dryers. The transition was tough, and there is no longer the awesome combination of beer and sports on every tv. However, the stylists and service is great as ever. Heather has gotten to know me, and we have my haircut perfect. The salon is a step up from a barber, but by no means an intimidating crazy exclusive spa. Formerly a Gadabout Man, this salon is now a full service Aveda salon. I love Aveda products so I decided to treat myself to a massage and facial recently. I was greeted promptly by friendly staff and immediately taken back for my appointment. The facilities are clean and have a relaxed feel. The facial and massage rooms are quiet. I didn't notice any noise pollution from the salon. The facial was good. As I mentioned, the Aveda products are great, but I've had better experiences with estheticians. The massage, on the other hand, was fantastic. Shirley is a great therapist. If you're one of those people who wants a massage that basically just rubs your muscles then go elsewhere. However, if like me, you believe in the no pain, no gain philosophy, then this is the place for you. Shirley has passion for her work and was genuinely interested in how she could help me. Hairstylist: Madeline Haircut: The haircut turned out great. I have thin blonde hair which I am told is very difficult to cut. She is now the second person I have found in the last 8 years that has been able to cut my hair perfectly. Personality: She has a subtle and pleasant personality. While conversing with her I enjoyed that she was not too timid to throw in a little lighthearted sarcasm. She did not force conversation, but when I wanted to she would hold it until she had to focus...and it made time pass quickly. Background: I've been going to VerVe to the same hairstylist for for the last 4 years. I don't go there for the ambiance or the products, I go there because my hairstylist, Jessica, is the best I've found. Today she was busy, and I needed a haircut, bad. I recently moved to the area and was nervous about finding a new stylist after having the same person take care of me for nearly a decade. I considered giving up my highlights because the thought of spending so much money without any guarantee of perfect results made me a little queasy. A co-worker with great-looking highlights recommended Victoria at VerVe. She was excellent. She understood exactly what I wanted even though I thought I was pretty vague. The highlights were placed perfectly and lightened to the exactIy the right shade. The products and techniques she used very well with my fine, long, easily tangled hair. I left with a healthy looking sparkle and sleek blowout for less of a price tag than I was bracing for. Also their shampoo set up is the most comfortable I've ever experienced. No pain from the sink digging into the back of my neck! Coree (sp?) gave me a great scalp massage and took excellent care of me for that part of the process. Everyone at the salon was professional. I was shopping with a friend of mine for a sport coat nearby and just happened to walk past Verve. Verve is a contemporary and modern Aveda salon, but still retains a casual and comforting feel. The receptionists are very friendly and not only help you book appointments, or find the right Aveda makeup and hair care products to fit your needs, they also know what stylist to refer you if you know what kind of hair you have, or if your hair has any special needs. I was referred to Yeni, who is amazing. She knew how to cut my fine, wavy, multiple-cowlick ridden, hair perfectly into long the layered haircut that I wanted. And she did it as a dry cut. Normally she wouldn't do that, but I spontaneously wanted to color my hair, which she was happy to squeeze in--if I would agree to the dry cut, and for the new intern to give me a blow-out afterward. No fuss, no drama! Yeni was happy to oblige, and I was happy to get my hair style experimented on by the new girl. Two and a half months later, my hair still looks great, even as it grows out. No complaints! Thanks Yeni! I also recommend booking time into your appointment for any color requests before you show up for an appointment, and not do what I did. My alibi: I haven't had my hair dyed a different color in 10 years, literally. It was a small, but spontaneously significant change--well worth it. read more

After my last review, the staff at VerVe reached out to me and offered to redo my hair color since I wasn't 100% satisfied. This blew me away because I had already given them a 4 star review and did NOT (and still don't) blame the stylist for the miscommunication in what I had wanted... So I went back in and worked with a different stylist. She was phenomenal and the entire experience was extremely pleasant. I really didn't want to cause a scene and was concerned that the experience would be awkward - but it wasn't. The staff was above and beyond accommodating and even deep conditioned my hair to ensure it remains healthy after a double-coloring. I'm going back for SURE. If you're looking for a hair salon in/around Tucson I highly recommend VerVe. They are a little pricey, but it's totally worth the money. They really care about their clients and truly want to ensure you are satisfied with their service. And they know what they're doing!! read more

Absolutely love this salon, they have all the Aveda products you might need, extremely knowledgeable staff, but I mainly came here to say that Carolina at the Swan location did an exceptional job on my haircut. She does the calligraphy cut, in a very precise manner. She cares about giving you the results you want. I got lucky because she had a cancellation, but I have booked my next appt. with her. She remembered me from a couple weeks prior, when I came in to purchase some Aveda products and we had a minor consultation then. It stayed with me, and I am so glad I reached out and found her available. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the atmosphere and talent here at VerVe.
