Wow the flavors and food here were incredible! Our waitress, Heather, was top notch! Kept checking in on us and giving the best recs for food as well as for Hendersonville in general. We order the Brussels sprouts and Brie cheese/beets appetizer which were both fantastic! The brussel sprouts had a siracha-lime-honey and were the perfect blend of sweet with a small hint of spice. The chicken marsala did not disappoint either. It was served almost like a grit cake, but so creamy and flavorful. Fortunately I made a reservation for lunch today ( Saturday afternoon). While waiting for our table many passerbys stopped in and were turned away. You'll need a physical credit card or cash to pay. They don't have a tap device. Lunch menu is limited. Salad sides are only from the two salad entrees listed on the menu. Service was excellent and Whitney was friendly and helpful. The broccoli cheddar soup was tasty and not spicy. BBQ chips with garganzola mousse is worth having although I prefer the rosemary mousse from past visits. Vanilla lemonade is a treat that is rarely encountered elsewhere. Even with full restaurant sounds don't travel, quiet even when adjacent table is occupied. read more

We started with the Brussels sprouts and they were phenomenal. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, they set the tone for the rest of the meal. We also ordered the mosaic plate which was a creative twist on a traditional hummus plate. Instead of hummus it had an eggplant base that was smooth and delicious, a great change of pace. For mains, I had the chicken and my wife had the ribeye. The chicken had a nice crispy texture that I really enjoyed, even though it leaned a little dry. The risotto served alongside it was absolutely immaculate, creamy and rich, the kind of dish you remember long after the meal. The ribeye had good flavor, though a little fatty, and it came with fries and a salad which made it a complete plate. We finished with the tiramisu and it was the perfect ending. Light, decadent, and beautifully balanced, it was so good that both of us agreed it elevated the entire experience. The food overall was creative and flavorful, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere made the evening enjoyable from start to finish. My wife and I had no idea what we were walking into when we walked into Postero tonight. We didn't have reservations but were promptly seated at a high top table near the bar. We were greeted quickly by the bartender who recommend their signature drink which was fantastic. We had the gnocchetti app, the filet and the chicken along with the seared grit cake. For desert, we had their rhubarb cake. We eat out more than we should but this was hands down the best meal we've had all year. read more

The current Wednesday evening specials during the winter are well worth getting out of the house for. We have tried on successive weeks the meat loaf and the gumbo. Both were more than adequate portions and both delicious. The word about these well priced specials is evidently getting out as the restaurant was full last evening. We called ahead as it is our 24th wedding anniversary checked the menu, had reservations , checked the menu. Did our homework. Was supposed to be a special night . Run away - I am gluten free and sensitive to sugar and flour and wheat. We called ahead and guess what salmon is on the menu grilled salmon - and fresh vegetables . They had trout on the menu but was breaded . Shelby the manager refused to bring some of the salmon out of the kitchen for me. Nor was she willing to prepare the trout unbreaded . WTH! Outstanding! We visited on a Fri night and fortunately came in time to get the last open seats (without a reservation). Our table was adjacent to the bar - so the bartender (Taylor) was our server. She said we couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu. She was right. We started with the Beet & Goat Cheese Tartin ($10) and it was really good. We had to stop eating it so we had room for our meals. My bride ordered the Squash & Cauliflower side dish ($7) and small Arugula Salad ($7) and they were both excellent.....I couldn't stop stealing her salad as it was sooo good! I knew there was an antique festival going on the day I was going to be in Downtown Hendersonville so I expected the restaurants to be crowded. Postero took reservations so that is where I decided to eat. I am very happy with that choice. Everyone was so friendly from the minute I walked in the door. I was early for my reservation but they had my table ready. Vanilla Bean Lemonade was one of the options on the beverage menu so i had to try that. I really liked it. I think it is made in the restaurant. The waitstaff took care of the tables as well as getting drinks from the bar. They were busy. I ordered a strawberry salad and added shrimp. It was perfect and other tables even admired it. I forgot to get dressing on the side but the dressing was a good proportion to the salad so wasn't an issue and didn't get soggy. I was happy with my choice and they were not stingy at all but so generous on the toppings. I highly recommend a meal at Postero. read more

This is the best place to eat in Hendersonville - and that is saying something. If you live in Kenmure, then you are already familiar with the chef's skills. If you are not, then get over to Postero and get familiar. We covered almost the whole menu. My side had the Cobia, and it was almost better than my dish. Dad had the steak, and he gave me the last two bites. I cut them with the side of my fork they were so tender. Mom had the lamb, and made me take a bite. Who knew I like lamb?? I think I have tried it twice and did not enjoy it either time. This was amazing. The Aromatic Demi-Glace had a hint of pepper and had just a little bite to it that brought the whole thing home. I had the Pan Seared Scallops, Corn, Potato and Summer Squash Chowder, Crispy Pancetta, Scallions and it was among the best I have ever had. It was so good I asked for bread to clean my plate, and they brought amazing plate of pieces of brioche with a miso butter. The bread is made fresh just down the street. If you like Old fashions then try the one here. Templeton Rye, Simple Syrup, Cherry Juice, Bitters. It started out a little on the "too sweet" side but it comes with one of those giant ice cubes. I was lucky enough to grab a last minute reservation for the hubster and I to enjoy a early lunch at Postero the other weekend. The ambience is calming and beautiful, a perfectly decorated open floor plan restaurant for cozy dining. There are hidden dinosaurs throughout, so while you wait see how many you can find! The hubster loved the fried catfish. He says it was very light and flaky. It had delicious flavor and was the best catfish he has ever had! That's a huge compliment from a Southern Georgia boy!
