I've been to Vespr a few times now, and though it's not perfect, it comes really close. I'm going to start with what Vespr does well, which is a lot. To begin, the service is fantastic every time. The baristas will take the time to explain their menu as well as the difference between each brewing technique. It's always nice when a the barista spends that extra effort because it shows that they really care about their craft. The coffee here is fantastic as well. I usually stick with just plain black coffee, but I've also tried their nitro cold brew as well as a few of their espresso drinks. They serve Counter Culture, which is well known for roasting coffee that highlights their origin, and the baristas here really does the beans justice. The environment that they create makes Vespr a great place for studying, getting work done, or just hangout out with friends. As for the negatives, just two things pop into my head. First, it gets a bit crowded during the weekends when I go so I usually try to get here early. This is especially important if you are planning on doing some group work because the big tables get taken up fast. The last thing is that sometimes their beans aren't the freshest. I often get whole beans and if I'm lucky I can get them a week after roast date but sometimes they've been sitting their for a month. Overall, a great coffee shop in Orlando, but there is room for improvement. read more

I literally have had dreams about the vintage honey malt! :) it's beyond amazing!!!! I could drink one after the other but the price definitely keeps me from doing that That's why I can't give five stars.. Too pricey! But, I did enjoy the atmosphere there and the workers are really dedicated to what they do. Don't pass up their amazing pastries and foods. You'll have regrets. As an avid coffee drinker, it's rare to find a "new" drink. Their bourbon maple latte (I ordered mine with almond milk) was new to me, and I didn't hesitate to order it when I saw it on their seasonal drink menu. It lived up to my excitement/expectations - delicious, with beautiful latte art as well! The location is simple but welcoming with plenty of seating at tables, couches, and stool seating at bars. Vespr is a great place to work or hang out with friends. The coffee is really good but not my favorite in Orlando (two of my favorites are Lineage and Foxtail). Recently Vespr got new owners and since I personally feel the shop has lost some of its spark. Vespr used to be the hot spot a couple years ago--you could almost never get a table because it was always packed. However, the past is in the past, and the "new" Vespr is still a contender in the coffee shop arena. I would recommend the Honey Pot latte or just a classic nitro cold brew. The bourbon maple syrup is my favorite. They just started giving a mini shortbread cookie with every drink, which is a really nice touch! 8/10 recommend read more

When I need to get some hardcore studying done and don't feel like studying at UCF's library, this is my go to place since it's only about 10 minutes away from campus. The ambiance is the perfect amount of quietness and side chatter where it is comfortable to get work done. It could also be a hit or miss to get a seat in here depending on the day but if you're not able to get a seat you still must try the drinks and food options they offer here. I gave this place 2 stars because of the atmosphere I'd the only thing I enjoy. The coffee is very expensive and is average. What really makes me hesitant about going in is the staff. They are not rude but you feel like a inconvenience going in and ordering. Most of the time you won't get a greeting, eye contact, or a full sentence. Once I ordered my coffee with almond milk instead. While making it, I saw her put whole milk in, btw that wasn't a big deal, mistakes happen. I politely asked if she could remake it because I'm lactose intolerant. She said " you never said that" , grabbed the coffee, and walked away to make another. I try to avoid this place because it always seemed so crowded, however I decided to grab a cup of coffee on my way to class Monday morning, I walk in and decide to go with a vanilla bean latte. The girl working was so sweet and I appreciate that she made an effort to remember my name, she even wrote "have a great day!" On the cup which i realized later on and it really made me smile, the latte art was beautifully presented and tasted great. They have lots of motivational sayings on the wall which made me happy. I definitely want to come back and try some food here and more coffee of course! Update: i went again to study, i got a mozzarella tomato panini and the girl recommended i try the vanilla bean mixed with coconut and add some cinnamon on top which sounded bomb, i found a nice table in the back and got all my work done!! This place really became one of my favorites my first time there. I had the Vanilla Bean Latte and you can really taste that specialty coffee. The Barista did a great job with this cup! I also had a cinnamon roll which they get locally and it wasn't bad. Making these in house would be a nice treat hopefully in the future. So as I searched late at night for a good coffee place with nice strong coffee, I came across this place. I really wanted to fine a Puerto Rican cafe or Cuban cafe but sadly, they were all closed. I came here around 9pm with my sister and the lady working the register was nice enough to explain the coffee menu to us. I ordered a latte and my sister a cappuccino. The design in the coffee was super nice looking and it made me sad to destroy it when I added stevia (they offer stevia packets). We enjoyed the coffee, especially the latter since it was stronger when compared to the cappuccino; more up my alley. I am tempted to order an expression next time I come visit. The prices were decent but I guess I've been spoiled by Puerto Rican (Cuban) coffee in prices and taste. I was visiting in Puerto Rico in July and the prices and coffee taste was amazing. This coffee shop is a nice looking place and they offer many interesting items such as bacon coffee, check it out. They also offer homemade baked goods and some interesting gelato, Nutella dirt dessert; will try this next time for sure! Overall, pretty good coffee shop in the UCF area. I've been wanting to try Vespr for some time, but it's a bit out of the way for downtown residents. I hopped on the 408 and made my way down to a shopping plaza on Alafaya Trail to try. It doesn't look like anything special from the outside, but you know you're in a great place the moment you walk in the door. The atmosphere is casual with tables, simplistic couches, and barstools. The bar area is beautiful and the whole place is filled with natural light from the windows outside. The menu does not feature item after item, but they have quite creative and unique brews and mixes available. The counter has different baked good to choose from that looked fresh and delicious. Our barista was lovely and immediately welcoming. I asked for her recommendation and she asked a series of questions to determine what I was in the mood for. We ordered two iced lattes, Madagascar Vanilla and Lavender, both with almond milk. YAY for a place that offers almond milk. Love it. Our drinks were served in mason jars and were absolutely perfect. The coffee was amazing and be flavor was subtle and not overly sweet. This is my new favorite coffee and chill spot in Orlando. I used to live 5 minutes from here. This might be my number one coffee place in Orlando. They have a great atmosphere and an amazing menu. I have loved everything I have tried but where they really stand out is the amazing seasonal and limited time coffees. They had a honey malt latte that was like crack! I had to stop myself from drinking two! Right now they have a lavender and rose water latte that is also pretty delicious. If you are not into sweeter then the cappuccino and pour over coffees are great as well. I also love the teas for those days when you need to warm the soul without caffeinating it. I need to update my review because food has been introduced beyond the great little snacks (cookies & cakes) that were there since the beginning. The Power Lunch $8 available from 10 AM to 4 PM is excellent. You get a meal, a drink and a dessert. I've tried the Tomazzo and The Fellini open sandwiches so far and both were delicious. They're also perfectly sized for lunch if you take the dessert into account. Instead of making you sleepy based on sheer quantity, the food is soothing and tasty, and the drink kicks you back up in full gear. Now let's talk about drinks. The Butterscotch Latte is everything you need if somehow your day is not going the way you want it to. Served with fresh whipped cream on top in a mason jar, it's like a cuddle with a sweet kick. Once again I'm not an expert on quality coffee but the selection of single source brews makes all my friends who are extremely envious. An NYC expat didn't believe me when I listed the coffees available here. I spotted a single tear of joy on their cheek. The Barrel Smoked Sweet Iced Tea is everything its name implies. If you like good Mezcal, imagine a subtle version of that with Iced Tea served with syrup and a jar of large ice cubes so you can mix it to your preference. It does beautifully with the sandwiches. If could go on about specific items, but it's more important to conclude about the mood here. The music is always discrete but consistently good, the lighting is just dim enough to relax from the outside shine. Finally, it's so satisfying to see such a carefully crafted menu spread out in front of brewing machines the owner picked to achieve the best product possible. Amazing...just amazing coffee and customer service. We stopped by Vespr after seeing it on the weekly yelp email. I have been looking for a decent coffee house for a while and just happened to by the Waterford Lakes area. The staff is absolutely crazy friendly. The lady walked us through each type of coffee bean they had in today. She told us about the smell bar (amazing!) and then walked my fiancee about what makes their chai different. This place reminded me of the great coffee houses they have in Portland. Everything is either fair trade or organic, so you can't go wrong. I highly recommend this place. read more

I have to say, I really like Vespr. I have been twice and have gotten the Ice Coffee both times. The first time I tried the plain Ice Coffee, the second time I got the Sangria. Both were actually very good, but the Sangria is pretty unique. It has hints of orange in it..Pretty cool. Vespr, unlike Starbucks is not a chain, which I love and just seems to have all around better tasting coffee. As far as price goes, it is comparable to a Starbucks, but in my opinion worth choosing. They also have a rewards program where your 10th coffee is free. The atmosphere is pretty cool and has a nice clean design. I really love the way they display their pastries. One of the best coffee shops in the UCF area - I come here so much it's embarrassing. The environment is perfect for studying and the espresso has gotten me through more than a few grad classes. Drinks are a little pricier, but worth it, and there are deals sent occasionally through their rewards program. For those who have a sweet-tooth like me, I recommend the Butterscotch Latte (iced tastes amazing), Affogato Primavera, and Vintage Honey Malt. I was meeting up someone at Vespr and I'm really glad that they chose this location- it's pretty awesome! It's located in a Waterford strip mall. I missed it when driving through, so be on the look out. When walking in, I immediately focused on the glasses that resembled a chemist lab with beakers and flasks, accompanied by the aroma of fresh coffee all around... it's like the movies! You order at the register, sit down and they will call you when your coffee is made. The drink that I had was chilled, and sweet, and delicious. Finally, FINALLY checked out this spot that I've had bookmarked forever and a day! When I found myself in the area, I stopped by with a friend and her daughter to grab a cup of brew. It's in a busy shopping plaza and if you aren't looking for it, you would probably drive by it. The location is really kind of swanky. Looks a little intimidating when you walk in especially when walking up to the counter to order. It's really sleek and modern with their fancy coffee brewing equipment. Since I'm a self obsessed Starbucks junkie, I didn't know what to order. I just wanted an iced coffee so I just asked what they would recommend and they whipped up something for me. They had some baked goods for purchase but I decided to skip. There's also a little area where you can sweeten your drink to your liking. Which is great for the guy behind the counter since he was the cashier/barista and that's one less thing he has to do. I was pretty impressed at how fast he worked. This would be a great spot to meet up with friends if in the area. However, tables might be hard to come by. It was packed with lots of college students when we stopped by. Probably because of the free wifi .. On a side note-- I checked in on Yelp after I had paid and discovered a 15% off deal. Yelpers don't let Yelper friends miss out on saving $$! read more

I admit it; I'm a coffee snob, and as a self proclaimed CS; this place makes total sense to me. I did a 5 mile run early Saturday and desperately needed caffeine. I drove past Dunkin Donuts, even drove past Starbucks and stopped here because I had heard nothing but great things about Vespr's coffee. At first, I was kinda startled about the 4.13 pricetag but one sip and I realized this was no ordinary cup of coffee. I was sitting at the booth in my sweaty running attire, sniffing coffee like it was a fine wine. The aroma completely captivated me as I held the enormous cup that could easily be enough for two and when I took the first sip; I was completely engulfed in the profound depth of flavor. I had specifically asked for a dark roast because I don't do mild. If I want mild, I might as well go home and brew Maxwell House. (Told you I'm a coffee snob) I mean.....Wow, wow, wow!!!!! You know when you really enjoy something so much that you find yourself thinking about it even days after you've had it? Yeah; I was fantasizing about the delicious cup of coffee I had at Vespr days later. Reminising the taste, the full bodied flavor, and the overall pleasant experience I had here. So yes, there might be cheaper coffee places out there, but these people get it.
