4 stars for a quiet cute coffee shop! It's a lot quieter than Starbucks a very ideal work place or for studying. Seating and tables are a cute set up! I've been seeing this coffee shop on yelp for awhile and really wanted to try it. I tried the Iced Sweet Matcha Latte and the Iced Vanilla Bean Sweet Latte. The matcha tasted more like milk than sweet but didn't taste bad at all. I think I'm more interested in trying the hot Sweet Matcha Latte next time. They even offer tea and they have a sniffing station of the different teas which I though was really really cool. I do also want to try the teas. They didn't have many food options. The first time I actually visited Vespr was on a weekend and they were out of the Sweet Matcha Latte so that was upsetting. When I went during the week is when I was able to order. They offer two different drink sizes and they're actually more in price than a Starbucks but you get less. Upon first sip I was pleasantly surprised to find that the taste wasn't overbearing. I personally tend to stay away from getting black cold brew as the taste isn't my favorite, but I thought I would try the nitro since I prefer that over just regular cold brew. It was good! Huh, like the best coffee place EVAH... A good friend told me to hit this coffee shop. I thought that all the action was in downtown Orlando, and I somewhat hesitated to come out this far East. But I did. Every time I stop in Orlando (I do travel a lot), I have to stop and get some awesome coffee. Orlando simply has my favorite coffee shops in Florida. And Vespr is just coffee drinkers heaven, as in I Love it!!! I like many things about this place, besides the vibe and decor. When it comes to coffee, they have almost every method available for brewing. Hot, cold, espresso, drip, whatever you want. They also have some coffee beans from some really awesome roasters, and not necessarily from or limited to Florida. Also, they sell whole beans by the pound (12 oz. to be exact). I mean, you could buy lots of cool things here and go crazy. But that wouldn't just make it coffee nirvana. When it comes to the baristas, ah! they are some of the coolest people you can run into. Oh, Vespr. Why are you so good to me?! I finally got a chance to stop in for some coffee after hearing great things about this place. The owner, Edd, was behind the counter and you can tell that he is passionate about his beans and his store. I was lucky enough to try one of the new Signature Beverages, the Lana Del Rey. This this was wild! Pineapple juice, orange bitters, coffee, coconut cream, and milk- served cold and 'ultra frothed'. I asked Edd about the ultra frothing and apparently they use a great technique so you don't end up with an icy drink that gets watered down. The drinks was as surprising as it sounds and really refreshing on a hot summer day! I connected to the free wifi and worked for a while, surrounded by the most studious college students I've ever seen (and not heard). The atmosphere was great! Dimly-lit, very clean, and clearly they're a design-oriented bunch because everything looks totally Instagram-worthy (yes... I did snap a shot or two for my Instagram...). As I was leaving I picked up one of their prepared chicken salads. It was in a large mason jar, which was a great looking container, but I finally gave in and poured it all onto a boring plate. I definitely liked the drink more than the salad, but it was a good amount and presented beautifully. I also love that Vespr features local wine from Quantum Leap Winery, and great beer from Cigar City. Great place that was sorely needed in this part of town! Almost a year later after "discovering" this gem, I'm now a "regular" at this coffee shop. You have to understand... Being from Puerto Rico, where you rarely run into a place where they don't serve espresso coffee, you get demanding when it comes to it. Now, even though I have a 15 bar espresso machine, stove-top espresso, a french press, a Keurig machine (rarely use that one though), and I prepare cold-brewed coffee at home, I find myself visiting this coffee shop on a daily basis. Let me start by mentioning the things that keep me coming back, besides the great tasting coffee. First off: Great quality coffee Vespr supports locally sourced, organic and fairly traded products, including their coffee. So when you buy from Vespr, you are not only about to enjoy great quality coffee, but your are contributing to local and independent vendors. Second: Friendly and epic baristas I really believe the owner carefully chooses who he is hiring. Most of the times, I am served by Ana, Laura, Isacc, Amy and Edd. I'm pretty sure they recently hired more baristas, but I'm yet to get to know them. You might ask yourself, why does it matter who serves your coffee, as long as they prepare it right? Sure... I'll give you that, but let me just say that, in my experience, they all have unique personality traits that are welcoming and make you feel like you are a friend. This is specially important because for us coffee connoisseurs, who look for a "special coffee shop" that meets our needs and feels like a "second home", Vespr is a place where you feel comfortable enough to work, have a decent conversation over coffee, study or just chill. Third: Creativity Although I have to admit that my "First World Problems" list grows whenever they stop selling or preparing a specific drink that they included in their menu as a "seasonal or special edition drink", the fact of the matter is that they never seize to amaze me with their creative and savory drinks and/or concoctions. They do have "regular items" that are there to stay, however, their menu is often changing and incorporating new drinks that are bold and imaginative. Favorite creations: Affotago Atunno (Smoked vanilla bean ice cream with hints of wood and an espresso shot), Cold Brew Nitro, Lavender Latte (not on the menu), Café Negroni (coffee-based cocktail) and any of their current coffee beans brewed with a syphon. Favorite traditional creations: Cortado, Cappuccino, Latte with an extra shot and your traditional "Red-eye". Fourth: Ambiance Vespr has a very "chill" and positive vibe. It doesn't matter from which community or subculture you identify with, Vespr is welcoming to all. Decoration is simplistic and vintage. Has a "cabin feel to it." Music varies from blues, jazz, old-school rock & roll, independent artists and alternative. Also, most of the "regulars" I've met or exchanged hellos with, are friendly and considerate. Bonus: Fee Wifi and drinking water. Lastly: Location, location, location! Vespr is in the heart of Waterford Lakes, in Waterford Towers Shopping Plaza, East Orlando, about 10-15 minutes away from UCF. With plenty of restaurants and stores around. Finally, it's about 30 seconds from the 408 East-West Expressway. Summarizing: If you were able to read the whole review, you are probably asking if I was paid or asked to update my review... or if I have a life. LOL! To that, I respond... No, not paid or asked and yes, I have a life... Part of my life is spending my work/study time in this gem of a coffee bar which means a lot to me since it has become a second home with great tasting coffee, awesome people, and a chill environment. I finally made it over to Vespr, which I had been dying to try. It's a much bigger space than I expected, with plenty of spots to setup and work. I got a cold brew, black and it was delicious! I also got a plain shot of espresso, which I eventually mixed in and it was great. The service was fantastic. Oh Vespr, how I love thee... The place is wonderful! I love the atmosphere - quaint, modern, and clean. They play neutral music but it would get quite loud when it gets busy. I love it best when its quiet and I have my own table in the back to read or study. I have tried their mocha, cappuccino, and a green tea. I have not drank regular pulled espresso shot but for an amateur like me I enjoyed their milk concoctions. Each espresso pulled by hand unlike major coffee chains that are machine base. I really dont have a big preference. The tea is serve with a Finium Brewing Basket and its the best there is to infuse tea. They use whole leaves that is why a infuser is needed. I have not explored their food items, therefore I can't comment. Btw - I like to see some outdoor seating in the future. I believe the extra seating inside is great tho! I would love to see a spoon to accompany their drinks again for those that are staying in instead of using a stir stick. Reservation for tables is kind of a killer when its busy but feel like it should be a first come first serve basis unless there is a planned big event. Pretttttty, pretttty, pretttty good. I had my first Vespr experience the other day as I was on that side of town. I didn't even know it was a big deal until I looked up coffee places near me ... and Vespr showed up ... kismet. When I walked in, I loved the atmosphere, even though its in strip mall, it doesn't feel like one when you step inside. It was a very relaxed place with people on their computers sipping their coffees and partaking in some delicious looking food. I stepped up to order and was overwhelmed by the selection as EVERYTHING seemed worthy of trying. I wanted coffee initially but ended up ordering a Matcha Nitro Lemon something-something-something and a raspberry pop tart. The gentleman taking my order was super nice and my drink was ready in no time. I ended up taking a seat on the "low rider" couch as all the tables were taken and there wasn't much room at the single-seater bars. A few minutes later, the pop tart was ready ... and then I was ready to devour my order. I tried to eat like a lady on the "low rider" couch but it wasn't happening. Oh well. It was a fantastic pastry so scarfing it was acceptable in my opinion. The drink was super tasty as well with a tiny-tart-kick to it. I couldn't finish it as I got the big one so I took the rest of it to go. I was very happy with my first visit and I will be back ... however, I think I'll take my order to go as seating is limited and although the "low rider" couch was fun ... its not the best place to eat a pop tart. read more

This place is always great. This is the first time I have been in there when it was not packed. They have a nice selection of cold press coffee. You can get your iced as a cold press or a latte. When you add the sugars, they have a nice selection, agave, simple syrup, brown raw sugar and all the standards. The decor is very cute and crafty. They have a nice display of sweets very simply stacked. Cute little stacks of book and lots of long communal wood tables. The staff is what makes this place a success . But the two baristas behind the counter were talking so loud I could hear them through my AirPods that I had on noise cancellation. I've been living in and around Waterford area ever since I've been in college so for like 5 years almost and in the beginning this was my go to coffee joint because I'm a coffee snob and it was by far the best in Orlando! But unfortunately the old owners sold the business to the wrong person because it literally went from being a 5 star to a very generous 2. The coffee changed completely and the staff that was loved by many either got fired or quit which sucks cause they made vespr what it was too! Its just not great coffee, but also great experience. While visiting the Orlando area someone recommended Vespr, so I decided to give it a try. When you first walk in, you will find yourself in an open an inviting space, cozy yet modern and hip. They have the typical coffee menu, and each of the beverages that I tried was delicious; smooth coffee tasty to the last drop. Additionally they also have some great bites to satisfy your sweet tooth. But what separates Vespr from other places is the environment itself. It offers a place where you can sit down and enjoy a chat with friends, work on your laptop, read book and even play some board games. Overall, I highly recommend Vespr for a great coffee experience! My Criteria 5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price. 4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again. 1 stars: This restaurant should be closed. read more

Awesome coffee but... I love coffee and this place knows for sure how to make it right. I tried their autumn special and their strawberry tart and it was so good, my husband had their old fashioned coffee which it was very fresh and delicious. My only complaint was the actual location, the place was packed, no chairs available but 100% of them taken by students in laptops, I felt like I was back at the UCF library and didn't even want to talk so I wouldn't disturb them. My recommendation to the owner is to utilize the space better to maximize sitting and perhaps market the location to older crowd as well because this place definitely has potential. read more

On pure creativity alone, this place deserves 5 stars. The creativity and the atmosphere at this place excites my inner foodie. When a place serves both coffee and alcohol, you get the best of both worlds am I right? In terms of decor, this place has just the right balance of trendy, modern, and hipster all mixed into one location. Love it. I decided to go for a cold brew coffee tonight and ordered the 1950. It's an extremely unique coffee with a mix of a very light whipped cream, an extremely smooth cold brew, and flecks of raspberry and cherry along with a slight carbonation that gives this drink a very refreshing finish. It's like having a combination of a delicious cherry cola with the subtle hint of a very nice coffee. Based on this experience along, I know I will definitely be back to try other things off of the menu. read more

Most the crowd that comes are generally college students from UCF and Valencia looking for a great place to study, really gets you in the working mood. The coffee itself is great that you'll find mostly at any other gourmet coffee shop. However, their cold brew soda is something very unique that I've never tried before and they'll even let you try to make it yourself (with assistance of course). Overall great vibe and a wonderful crowd as well make this one of my go to Coffee Spots. As a plus they have a rewards program for your phone unlike many other places. I have been to Vespr Coffeebar since its opening. I don't know if the ownership had changed but it seems so. My review is based on most current experiences (9/2022). The drinks I had a basic iced coffee at this place. It is only ok, kind of weak. I don't think it is anything special that I want to go out of my way to come here for. I don't believe there is refill. The atmosphere It is pretty quiet here, which is nice. I was able to find a spot to sit near a wall electrical outlet. Free Wifi. The music isn't too loud. Chairs are very uncomfortable, my back hurt after an hour. The cashier who rung me up was fine. I set my stuff down at a table, one of the staff came over and told me no outside food, and shoo me outside. I told him that it is my leftover lunch that I didn't want to leave in the hot car. He told me fine then but I have to hide it by putting it on the chair instead of table. Seriously, dude? There is a man (I think he's the owner) who's watching patron like a hawk... (you know like the sales associates when you dress kind of causal at an upscale store)... don't worry, I won't steal your sugar packets or napkins, I already got plenty of the good stuff from Starbucks. Absolutely heartbroken. I've been working as a lead barista and manager at Vespr for over 3 years, and recently new ownership was put into place.These owners do not care about their employees, or their customers. When trying to implement an ethical work environment, they decided they would rather fire me and the other manager than put one ounce of care into the business. They are solely in this business for the money and it is so disappointing and sad to see. The entire staff is being affected dramatically, pushed beyond their limits, in an unethical environment. I've been coming to Vespr for years. They've continued to be one of my favorite coffee places of all time. They change their menu but for the most part you can order something off the menu from my experience. I order the lavender latte almost every time. The internet situation is decently okay, but it can intermittently go off from time to time, so if you need strong and fast internet, be wary. The cola flavor coffee is good, and the match is made well. I enjoy ordering those. I heard that you can reserve the community table as well if you need a bigger table for your group to meet for studying or a business meeting. read more
