Sausage and Honey
Ashley C.

Made reservations here after my favorite K-pop group dined here three times and raved about it, so obviously I had to come! There weren't a ton of reservations available due to the recent popularity but I actually enjoyed coming in at 4pm to avoid the dinner crowd, and it was nice weather to dine outside in the patio. I preferred the patio just because in the inside was actually quite warm, due to the pizza oven in there. Parking wasn't too difficult at this time on a Saturday, we easily found metered parking less than a block away, but there are a couple of parking structures nearby as well. Service was top notch from the minute we arrived and spoke to the host. They were so kind to us and our children, and checked on us quite frequently, but not in an annoying way. So many great options on the menu - and I like that they separated them by red sauce and white sauce! I'm usually a white sauce fan but I just had to try the sausage honey pizza, which did not disappoint at all. The pizzas are thin crust but the best thin crust I've had - not crunchy or papery, just the right amount of softness and texture that you'd want! And since it was thin crust I wasn't getting too full off of the pizza dough. My husband and I easily shared the sausage honey pizza, but I would have loved to try that carbonara pizza! We didn't want to take any leftovers so I'm glad that we were able to at least finish one pizza without being too full. I don't frequent pizza places too often but so happy that we came across this place! Can't wait to return when we are in the area!

Pork Meatballs w/ Tomato Sauce
Vu N.

First let's start with the good things: We really liked the ambiance of Vesta. We sat in the back patio and enjoyed a beautiful Saturday lunch in Redwood City. Our host and waiter were really nice and friendly. I also liked that you can tell the ingredients they use to make the pizza is fresh. We ordered the Sauvignon blanc, pork meatballs, grilled sourdough bread, margarita pizza and the sausage & honey pizza. The pork meatballs to me were the best part of the lunch. I liked how it was cooked. Very juicy and the tomato sauce was light. Though I would say tomato sauce was a touch too light. Otherwise I would give those meatballs a 8.2/10! The grilled sourdough bread was pretty good. Nicely toasted and perfect with a side of balsamic. The wine was also tasty! 9/10 to both of those. Let's get to the not so good things: If you like fresh ingredients and lean more towards the light seasoning side of eats, this may be the place for you. Unfortunately for us we felt the margarita pizza was lacking. The pizza didn't hold up well with the tomato sauce and cheese just slides off into the plate as you're picking it up. I'll fault that to the fat content of the cheese plus the olive oil. The outer crust was just crispy enough so that was okay. I think this pizza would benefit greatly from just a bit more salt. Sadly I'm going to have to give that a 5.1/10. The sausage & honey was decent. We felt the tomato sauce had a big step up in flavor compared to the margarita pizza but then it made me question if all this flavor is coming from the honey? Not sure but it was actually the one we ate the most of. 6.4/10. Both pizzas still just could not keep their toppings and cheese on. I'll probably come back but for the meatballs, sourdough bread and wine for a quick light snack in the future.

Why 5 stars? Because the sausage and honey pizza was STUPID. --- --- --- Stupid is a good thing, FYI. This was quite possibly the thinnest pizza I've ever had. It was absolutely the kind that you have to roll up to eat, otherwise it's just a flimsy mess. But as it turns out, this flimsy mess was absolute hot fire. To be honest, my only regret is that I didn't order two of them. They were thin and light enough that I absolutely could have housed a couple. And they were tasty enough that maybe I could have done three. My friend wasn't too hungry, but he wanted to try the meatballs, and I was a huge fan of those too. There was no sauce involved, but they were not dried out at all. There was some really unique flavor going on that I couldn't quite put my finger on, but we both loved these. I originally had a reservation here the following night, but had to change my plans and was bummed I was going to have to miss it. Then I ended up being able to visit a night earlier, unexpectedly, and I'm so glad it worked out. I will forever recommend this place to anyone I hear that's visiting Redwood City.

Service is friendly. Caesar salad was okay. Sausage and honey pizza was amazing and had the perfect crust. The mushroom onion pizza was not my favorite. Could have used a lot more flavor. The crust underneath was also pretty blackened so it was pretty off putting.

Like everyone else we wanted to try highly talked about pizza place from BTS. We ordered their favorites - a honey & sausage pizza and carbonara pizza - along with a charcuterie board. Our server was incredibly nice and even shared a couple stories about the members visits. The staff were attentive with multiple check ins and water refills. Everything was delicious and we totally understood the hype. Our favorite was the carbonara! Definitely recommend stopping to try a pie and for their wonderful service.

Margherita Pizza

We come to Vesta often for their margarita pizza: thin, fresh tomato sauce, and nice layer of toppings. Tried their daily special sweet potato soup with coconut milk and lemon yogurt this time. 3.5/5. Not very impressed. I could barely taste the coconut milk, and the consistency needed to be a bit creamier. The lemon yogurt it's an interesting addition but not necessarily enhanced the flavor either. What boost my review is our server, Cindy. She's friendly, efficient, and very professional.

So we came to this place because my daughter heard that BTS ate here. So much fun. It was so very hard to choose what to eat! We decided on 2 pizzas and 2 sides. Our waiter was so much fun and informative! We started with the grilled pairs - delightful!! Then we moved to the mushroom toast..... sooo good! Pizzas were generous sizes and more than enough for 3 peeps. We saw soo many BTS fans.

Sourdough Grilled Bread

Came here with my husband after my boyfriend Taehyung kept raving about this spot. Can confirm it is worth the hype! We got the grilled sourdough bread as an appetizer, and loved the fact that it was warm and not too crunchy, it was just right. We also got the Calabrian Caesar salad, which was a unique twist on the traditional Caesar salad. I don't think we were biggest fans of it, but not bad. Now for the main star, the sausage honey pizza. 10/10 recommend to everyone. The pizza was fresh, delicious, everything was perfect. Loved how the jalapeño slices were sliced thinly enough to give you a kick but not overwhelming. Definitely the best woodfire pizza we've had. The service itself was decent, nothing to rave about in my opinion. The location was indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating was very cozy. Definitely will be returning here.

I would drive to Redwood City just for this pizza, and that says everything!! This is my favorite place to get stone oven pizza right now, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The space really stands out. There are three different lighting scenes depending on where you sit, which gives the restaurant different vibes throughout. You can choose between indoor dining, a more lively inside area, or a relaxed outdoor patio, and each area feels intentional and well designed! Service was one of the highlights of my visit. My server, Ashley, was extremely nice and patient, and gave great recommendations. Right when I walked in, two hosts greeted me at the same time, which was such a cute and welcoming touch. The manager was also present and involved, which made the overall experience feel even more attentive! I also had a Chardonnay, which paired perfectly with the pizza and really elevated the whole meal! Items I ordered: Avocado Toast: Pistachio pesto, creamy avocado, chili kick. Usually this is something I can remake at home, but this one was so good I honestly don't think I could replicate it haha! Grilled Pear and Burrata: Sweet pears with creamy burrata Braised Short Ribs: Tender with apple fennel slaw Sausage and Honey Pizza: Sweet and spicy balance Carbonara Pizza: Rich, savory, very satisfying Mexican Chocolate Bread Pudding: Warm, moist, and comforting with a horchata-like milk layer at the bottom The pizzas were the standout, but everything was well executed. This is a place I would come back to again!!!!

Pesto Pesto & Soppressata Pizza

Absolutely love Vesta! It's definitely a neighborhood favorite. The pizzas are a little pricey, but they're unique and absolutely delicious. My personal favorite is the Honey Sausage. Very cozy and romantic, especially if you sit on the back patio. Such a great spot for date night. The staff is all so friendly and contentious of your experience.

Came here with friends to celebrate a birthday and the staff were super accommodating. Had a reservation and they were able to seat us a bit early. The restaurant is much bigger than I thought as they have a hallway leading to an area in the back. From apps to the pies, the food was delicious and good quality. We got the mushroom and onion, carbonara, sausage and honey, and a couple other pizzas. I really like how even though the crust is relatively thin, it's not soggy! This is something's several pizza places I've tried in the past have failed to do. Every bite was full of flavor, and I can't wait to go back to try their other pies!

Came in here with some friends with a reservation for Friday night. The place was packed, so reservation would be better to do. There is seating inside and outside. Inside ambience was cozy with a wood oven (which I personally love). Only complaint I have is they do not have any chicken pizza :( Since I dont eat red meat, I could only have veg options. But, their pizza were so delicious that I didn't miss chicken so much. Our server was so sweet and courteous. The experience automatically becomes even more enjoyable if the staff is nice. Ordered mushroom toast, 3 pizza (thin crust), bread pudding and a bottle of Cab. Mushroom toast was so tasty, just enough creamy and not overly salty. The pizza crust was so good honestly, fresh and char done perfectly in the oven. We got rosemary potato and bacon pizza (minus the bacon and added red onion, LOVED this pizza, the taste was amazing!), pesto and soppressata (minus the meat, loved the pesto flavor, was a bit more cheesy than my liking, but really tasty still), vegan maple mushroom (this is a red sauce base, I do not enjoy sweet on my pizza, but still it was decent for me). For dessert, got the mexican chocolate bread pudding (sooo good!) Def recommend this for pizza in Redwood city!

Celebrated my partners birthday at Vesta recently. As always Vesta delivered, the food was delicious and the service exceptional. Highly recommend the small plates, we had the Pork Shoulder and Grilled Pears w/ Burrata. 7:30pm reservation, we were seated immediately.

I would say it feels like a tavern for wealthy noblemen in 1800s England. Allow me to say where it fell short for me, and then I'll sing my praises. The wine... tasted like wine. I don't have a particularly refined palate when it comes to that. The charcuterie board was a collection of expensive items that I am personally not into: miniature pickles (too sour), meat pâté (bland), and what I think were pickled red peppers. There was no cheese, which was highly disappointing; however, if that style of charcuterie suits you, go for it. The music did not match the ambiance at all. They really should play piano or smooth jazz, because the 2010s pop was honestly annoying. DESPITE ALL OF THIS, the crowd was the real pull.
