Called in for a service appointment for my Ford Truck and was quoted 249 plus tax for a transmission power flush. When I arrived the service advisor told me that the price was going to be 279 plus additional cost for extra fluid and would be a little over 300 plus tax total. This is the second service debacle I have had with them, last time they wanted to charge me 1800 dollars to fix and oil leak I had on a Ford Van after they looked at the problem. I took it somewhere else and the problem turned out to be a small hole in the oil filter. They charged me 60 dollars to replace filter and do an oil change. Veterans Ford used to be great, I bought at least 8 vehicles there and had all serviced there in the past. I will never return there for service or to buy a new vehicle. I bought a brand new 2021 bronco 4 days later the driver side glass window cracked after rolling the window down. I ensure you there was no damage to the vehicle other than the cracked glass. I brought the bronco back to the dealership After speaking with the general manager on the phone and recommended I bought it I can stick a dick photographs. They took photographs in the service manager told me it was like the door since I was too tight and he had seen that happen and the password is stress fracture down the window. They told me they were submit to the warranty and should hear back within 2 to 3 days. I waited one week with no answers and after when we can waiting was informed that the glass is not covered under warranty. unacceptable. So much for a bumper-to-bumper warranty. read more

I have purchased a new vehicle and I have taken several here for preventative maintenance and repairs. I dropped off my vehicle for two warranty issues and an oil change. The most important issue I had was not addressed because it seemed normal to the technician. The worst part of dealing with Veteran's Ford is the cashier. She complains constantly about doing her job and instead of asking if your phone number and email address is correct she blurts out all of your personal information for anyone who is waiting in line to hear. Waiting, is something that you will do at Veterans Ford. Everyone in the building is unhappy and it shows in the customer service they provide. My car was pulled up by a runner that said nothing to me as he walked back in the building, leaving my car running and the door open. They don't take the cars through the car wash or even put down paper mats and plastic seat covers unless they were removed prior to my car being brought out. This is my last choice for buying or servicing a car but unfortunately it's location near the expressway makes it the most convenient for me. read more

First off let me state that I was contacted by a representative of this dealership because I have my current vehicle listed for sale on AutoTrader. This person claimed to work for this dealership and said they were just interested in buying my car and invited me to come in and get an appraisal. After some back and fourth and after multiple attempts trying to get a range of what they would offer I agreed to come in. So on my day off I made the one hour drive to the dealership where I was immediately greeted with a salesperson and management scratching their heads. "This person no longer works here they haven't for about 10 days" was what I was told. They still did an appraisal and the first number was under the range I was told, then the manager bumped it up to the very bottom end of the range and I was told "we'll if you trade it in you can get a tax saving so it's like your getting more for your car". Reluctantly I allowed the salesman to show me what he had available, and none of the vehicles he showed me was something I was comfortable trading my car in for so I left. The vehicle i would have been interested in was way overpriced and had several issues I didn't trust would be repaired properly. Since then I have been harassed and blocked several numbers on my phone from the salesman I met, and another salesman who apparently was the the one fraudulently using the auto trader account and trying to get me to agree to a deal to trade my car in. I'm not sure any other way to say NO but based on this horrible experience I will never return to that dealership for any reason. read more

Bought a car here, haven't gotten a license plate after two months, have been using temporary tags given by the dealership. Now the second expires and we are told that "I have no idea what happened", and not allowed another temp. Now what? There is no help whatsoever, from salesman. the staff in the maintenance building did not help at all when we asked questions about making appointments almost like we were too young to be taken serious. They told us they will pay the ticket if we get pulled over. read more

My husband called the used car department and set it up for us to look at and test drive 3 vehicles listed on their web page. We agreed to be there between 12 noon and 2 pm. We arrived shortly before 1pm only to find that the three vehicles were at their other location on the other dide of Orlando. Mind you, this location is in Tampa. When I asked why we were told that the cars would be ready to test drive, we were told that the cars are "available" just not at this location. To me this is a deceptive practice as we were told that they have something very similar at a higher price. I am not an idiot. I will never buy a car from Veterns Ford. "Worst experience. The Dealer buys rental cars and resells them." MOST OF THERE USED CARS ARE RENTAL CARS THAT THEY BOUGHT My wife and I were shopping for a new vehicle and stopped by Veterans Ford. We got pricing on a used Chrysler Pacifica and left to shop around we had a question in regards to the car we looked at because we were comparing models at another dealer. We ended up going back to Veterans because my wife ended up liking their color interior better. THAT WAS OUR MISTAKE. We got there late and filled out most of the paperwork on the way. When we got there they quickly rushed us through the paperwork we had been promised that they would fix a large scratch and pull some dents out. Get a new side panel piece that was missing. They rushed us into financing we finished. Then when we went to the car the Sales guy handed us a Single Key! I asked where the other one was and he said there was only one. I said I wish I would have known that before it would have changed my decision. I went back into the dealer to talk to the Manager. He had left for the evening.. The New Car sales manager said that the would call Enterprise to try and find the Key. I said "Enterprise," he said yes almost all our used cars come from Enterprise. At this point I was annoyed. Now the car only has one key and is also a rental. With a bunch of promises to find the key and fix the scratches my 37-week pregnant wife needed to get home and I wanted to just make her happy so we left. I come back to the dealer to get the scratches fixed and I ask how long it's going to take and the sales guy says 20 minutes. I ask will the paint be dry in 20 minutes. He says "paint we are only pulling dents" I am puzzled at this point cause he told me scratches and dents. I look at the we owe Paperwork and where it said fix bumper it only had dents not scratches. Silly me I assumed whoever typed it out the night before was lazy and didn't type the whole thing. NOPE. They meant only dents. Secondly, the promise to find the key was empty as well. They, however, would give me there cost to get one reprogramed. They said if they could at least get a key fob they could get it reprogramed for 70 bucks. The sales guy told me that I should go down to Enterprise and ask if they have the key he gave me the location and said I was more than welcome to go down there and look cause they have not heard back from the guy... I go to the fleet Enterprise location and End up getting a key fob from the Enterprise rep. Who was very nice. He went out of his way to help. I think he was motivated to help because he doesn't want the information to get out that the dealer buys almost all of their used cars from Enterprise fleet. I go back to the dealer to get it reprogramed and the key guy says he can't reprogram the key cause it's used. I go in to talk to the used car manager Adam and to my surprise, the Enterprise guy is there. I inform the manager that they can't use the key and the manager was like yeah you can't use it.... I ask him why I was sent to even look for a key. He tells me that no one told me to go there. I respond with your sales guy told me.. The manager then calls me a liar and that I just went there on my own.... He then continues to tell me to basically to blow smoke and that he isn't going to help cover any costs associated with a new key and he isn't going to fix the scratches. I told him that this is no way to treat the customer and that him calling me a liar and basically telling me to blow smoke is no way to do business. Then the Enterprise guy pipes in and says 90% of the used cars that are 2years old are Rentals. Please be aware that yes the Car on the Carfax is listed as purchased by Fleet and this is a detail that we didn't see cause it's only mentioned once in the carfax. Also, be aware that they will word the we owe in a way that lets them off the hook later. Secondly when dealing with the used car manager Adam he might seem nice at first but the moment the deal is over he could care less. Don't make the same mistake be prepared. I own a 2016 blue Mustang I bought from Veterans Ford. In January I bought a new battery from Veterans Ford and they installed the battery for free. However, a week later I was detailing my car before a car show and I noticed they spilled battery ACID on my passenger side fender. This ate all the paint off the fender. I took it back into Ford to get them to fix it and they were reluctant to do so. Finally, they decided to own up to their mistake and get it repainted. When I got it repainted the body shop didn't even do that good of a job on the clear coat over the paint causing the bottom to almost look like it was spray painted. It's gets better..... when I went to pick my car up I noticed they dented my front bumper!!! I was furious because I take immaculate care of my car being a show car. I spoke to the service manager at Veterans Ford and he didn't take responsibility for the dent in my bumper. He was being disrespectful to me. So now I have to take my car into my body shop in fort Myers (the only one I trust) to fix my bumper. On a side note, the customer service is awful. I have to call them multiple times to before they even answer the phone. NEVER TAKING MY CAR INTO VETERANS FORD ever again for anything. Terrible, unethical business practices! Do not stand behind their used vehicles and I believe knowingly sold me a faulty vehicle that needed $600 in repair before I could even make the first payment. It was the sales manager who originally told me they would not help me. Update**** After this review being brought to the general managers attention, he promptly worked an agreement out with me that I consider fair. I got a call from this dealership today in reference to a used vehicle. I told the internet salesperson that I did not want to waste my time if the vehicle was not available to a sale today. She put me on hold and here comes Adam, the so called sales manager. It was 5:05pm on a Sunday evening. I was aware of the closing time, but they insisted that I get there by 6pm. Ok, I got there and let me just say the only thing that was pleasant was the young lady at the front desk. Basically Adam is a liar and very rude. He started saying to the other sales person that they closed at 6pm. Well I asked for my keys back and left. I guess they don't want any sales today. My son and I went to Veterans Ford today to look over their cars. I'm a disabled veteran who has trouble walking. When we got there, all the handicap spaces were filled with new cars, including one space that had a pickup truck being demonstrated to a buyer by a salesman. There was even a car parked in the sidewalk where you enter the building, blocking the flat curb put there for handicapped people. None car had a handicap placard or plate. We turned around and left. This is an old time car dealership where they are still trying to use tricks and games to sell cars. You have to know exactly what you want and how much you want to pay for it before you ever even of thinking dealing with this dealership. I bought an used car here, and here are some tricks and games that they used: 1. "We did pricing research for you". They would show you pricing reports from KKB, NADA, Auction Value... with the exact VIN number that show the vehicle is worth thousands more. Look closely, they checked every single options under the sun to bring up the vehicle values.They even checked CPO (Certified Pre Own) on my non CPO used vehicle. 2. Over estimate the tax and tag, and they want to negotiate on the out of the door price. This trick is hard to spot. The actual tax and tag are cheaper, so more money to the dealership. You only see that in the final Sales Contract. 3. They charge junk fees: dealer fee ($699.95) sure, document handling fee ($199.95), Private Tag Agency/Electronic Filing fee ($40.00) Do your research and do not trust the salesperson. Was promised new set of keys, floormats and wheel locks before the deal was complete, then took 3-4 months to get those to me after constant calling for an update. Avoid this dealership. Sales gimmicks all over the place. We came in with that morning's newspaper and of course the advertised price was no longer available despite us arriving at the opening time. Also we would have paid more to buy the car outright with cash rather than finance? I always thought you got a better price by buying outright. Stopped by this place today to look at a car that I saw on their site and I was very disappointed with the overall experience. When I walked in, a salesman came to talk to me and he seemed unhappy to be there and showed no energy to sell anything. Then, I asked to see the car that I saw on the site and he had no idea where it was parked and he made me walk all the way in the back and we couldn't find it. He also didn't know the car prices or what they had in stock. We finally figured that the car was in their shop and when we attempted to see it, the shop was dark and he didn't know where the lights were... Really? After carefully searching for other motorhome towable vehicles and coming very close to buying a jeep, I realized that I kept saying "I love my truck but it's not towable, so I....". Once I gave up the idea of a manual shift, I realized I could get my truck back by buying a new F150. So, we stopped in Veterans Ford last Saturday, shopped a number of the F150s and 250s, and settled in on one of the 150s that we liked and everything was sorted out about two hours later and we were headed home. Matt Morgan was great. He took us through the features and options that were available and what was on each truck. We test drove the one we had picked out. I wanted to add a bed liner to the truck. That was no problem. I returned a few days later and had my truck back after an hour. I asked a question about towing the vehicle and whether the odometer turned. They didn't know the answer but by the time we were ready to leave, they had it for me. Sales: great Service: great. read more

They are thought to blame you no matter what. not even if you can show them a video showing them the issues , they continue to deny them and send you back to the "POS" they sold you. $1000 a month I spend on this truck I could've purchase a luxury car and be guaranteed a loaner of the same quality.when I bring the car for service and they have to keep it over night they ALWAYS give me a KIA SOL you can even fit a shovel in that car.but the funny part is they ask you what do you need the truck for when you buy it and they know I used my truck for business. you would think they would at least give you something similar being that is their product that has issues.but they expect you to be fully functional when they hold your truck over night and give you a kia sol for you to work out of. please, please, please theres 4 other ford dealerships in Tampa please take your business to one of them and hope that you dont have to deal with bad people like this. they know once you sign that note your their slave for the time of that contract and their only purpose is to extort money out of any way possible. We have been super weary of buying a car because we've had such bad experiences with car dealers and their shadiness in the past year, but this experience was wonderful. They helped us find the absolute perfect vehicle and a week later I'm still in awe that I finally have the car I've always wanted. They were very transparent and communicative. I got calls from several dealerships immediately following and one from Veteran's Ford. I decided to bring it up there to sell it only to be offered $5200. If you didn't know these dealerships make more off of used vehicles than they do off of new ones. Most people just accept their insulting offers and hence why they get away with this. I was called that parts for a recall for my Ford Explorer were in and I needed to make an appointment and I did. Next I called to reschedule my appointment and I was told I didn't have an appointment so made a new one. It was suggested to me to come in on a Tuesday morning because Mondays were busy. It was also suggested to me that if I brought my car in on the afternoon of the day before my appointment I would be the first in line to get my recall done. So my husband and I dropped off my car on Monday afternoon for my Tuesday morning appointment. It was explained to me that the repair was quite simple and my car would be done within 10 or 15 minutes and be ready in the morning. When I called to check in the next afternoon about my vehicle I was told they were not going to be able get to it that day. When I said I had an appointment and I was told it would be a quick fix they were going to try to see if they could get it fit in. Then I received a call that the bolts for my recall were in but not the bracket and they would need to order that but they would have it first thing in the morning and I could pick up my car shortly after that. When I called the next afternoon to check on my vehicle I was told they were going to be able to get to it that day. When I explained how badly I needed my vehicle they replied they would try their best. Then they actually called and said you can head this way your car is being worked on right now. My husband and son proceeded to head towards the dealership during a torrential rain and rush-hour traffic only to be greeted with the fact that my car actually wasn't fixed because they were missing one of the bolts that they needed. The bolts that they had called me and told me they had received for the recall!. When I asked if the service manager Travis could call me that night I was told Travis said he would call you at 7 AM.When I said that was not acceptable there was no reply!Surprisingly bolts and brackets were found the fourth day that my car was in the shop for an appointment for a 10 minute fix! We have purchased five vehicles from veterans Ford and we will never do it again!By the way went to the mailbox when I got home and my Ford Explorer 2016 has another recall! read more

I test drove a Ford Escape in the days leading up to Memorial Day. I arrived on the Tuesday and was told the car I had originally wanted had been sold but was shown another alternative. The car seemed great but they lowballed me on my trade. I left and came back on Wednesday to test drive it again and make sure it was what I really wanted. Unfortunately there was a noise in the front passenger side and even though the salesman got their service team on it right away it was very off putting. Unfortunately while the service team looked at the car the salesman literally sat with me for an hour while they looked at the car, there was no leaving. It was like an hour long counseling session where I just had to sit and listen to this guy go on and on about his life... In the end I purchased a brand new escape elsewhere but if you're looking for creepy salesman who send unprofessional text messages this is the place for you! read more

A new Florida resident of two years, I've been taking my 2015 Ford Focus to Veteran's for general service and the ghastly issue of the double clutch, etc. etc. Over the two years, I've had only one minor issue - not worth the words to write about. The customer service and concern for resolution have been top drawer - from the folks in the service area to the gal in the billing department to the on-site Hertz rental team. If you've not had a good interaction in the past; give them another try. Even I noticed a newer vibe among all on my recent visit which was only a couple of weeks ago. read more

When the dealership ran the carfax on the minivan I was trading in, I found out it had been involved in two accidents (one with airbags deployed). This information was never disclosed to me at Veterans Ford. I realize they are not obligated to but one would think that a dealership of this size wouldn't sell such a vehicle. Veterans Ford Rocks and then some ! Bought a new Orange Fury Mustang GT Premium w/ Black Roof, they were the only dealership that had one that was not a 4 cylinder in all of Tampa. Very nice, got me military discount, both Roberto and Sean were awesome sales and finance guys. Then I had issue with Dashboard Trim piece, went to local Wesley Chapel Parks Ford down the street from where I live and they refused to help me, told me to leave and go back to where I bought the vehicle, would not service it at all. Went back to Veterans and they filed claim and replaced entire dashboard for me working directly with Ford Headquarters ! Again, a GRRREEEAAAT dealership !! I needed diesel quick should have waited till Monday for a GMC. Salesman green, finance guy a real con try to sell u the farm, detail guy my truck looked like it was waxed with a Hershey bar. Took truck back next day to get it redone WOW you would of thought we had the plague. Had truck 6 months have heard nothing what so ever from dealer. Rick Mathews GMC still sends me stuff.
