I intentionally stayed out of his way to let him do his work, but Tim kept me and my agent updated throughout the process and was very professional and personable. I didn't request it, but he also slipped in and out of different shoes every time he transitioned from inside to outside the house to be respectful of the flooring. Dave talked to me for 15-20 minutes because he wanted to understand the problems I was experiencing. One of the problems was two brick encased windows. He let me know he didn't believe he possessed the necessary tools/infrared equipment to definitively diagnose the problems as I explained them. So, he refers me to another home inspector who he believed could provide an economical remedy. Who does this in today's world???? Add Dave Macy to such a list. Dave took the time to listen. He provided suggestions on where to investigate some of the other problems I was experiencing, but he turned the job down. I thanked him for his time, but more importantly for his integrity....since he didn't want to take the chance that his fee would not resolve ALL my concerns. Ironically, the home inspector he referred spoke highly of Dave's work product as a fellow board Certified Master Inspector (CMI). What's not to like about Dave, even though he chose to pass on my project. You don't get this type of integrity from people today. I have suffered from water intrusion into the basement of my home for nearly the entire 40 years…read morethat I've owned it. I previously saw an inspection Home Pride did of a home that my sister was considering purchasing and was impressed by its thoroughness. Jack listened patiently as I laid out all of the steps that I have taken to address the problem. He asked a series of inciteful questions to determine if he could help. After another mitigation company failed to reduce radon levels in my home and never followed up. I…read morebegan searching for new company to visit my home but they must do PFE testing as a minimum requirement. I contacted All Ohio Radon Services and was informed that they do that type of testing. On October 31st a tech arrived and explained the process and began diagnostics, the charge was $200. After testing we talked about next steps and was promised I would be contacted within the week to schedule work.
