I initially contacted another moving company for an interstate move from San Diego to Las Vegas. The bid came in very high, and I was told by that company that there were "additional fees" for interstate moves, making the price much higher than expected. Then, just 3 days before my scheduled move, that company called and tried to more than double the price!  leaving me in a total panic. I reached out to 5 STAR Moving Company, and the owner, Craig , responded immediately. He was furious when I told him my story. He calmed me down right away with his happy demeanor and reassuring words that they would take care of the move at a fraction of the quoted price. All was true. Not only did they accommodate me on such short notice, but they were also transparent, professional, and fair with their pricing--no surprise fees! The crew arrived right on time, very happy to be there and eager to start. They handled my belongings with care, and made a stressful move almost seamless. After taking legal action, I came to find out his website has dummy links for the warranty and contracts as well as a revoked license, so he probably doesn't even have insurance. Also he is not BBB accredited as his website would make it appear. You shouldn't move people out of homes that you can't afford to fix if you damage them.

I would say the name of the other company I have used in the past, but I find that to be tasteless to do in this review. However, you can catch my drift if you check out my profile and see my most recent review of my previous moving company used. This company is way more thorough. They did a video call with me and had me walk through my entire residence so that they could give me a legit estimate. After they gave me their estimate for what they provide, I was totally onboard. When moving day came, I did a lot of what they said they would do in their quote. Because of this, I saved $300 on their estimate, but I spent about $200 doing most of what they quoted me myself. If I had to do it again, I probably would have paid them the extra $100 to do it for me. But, $100 saved is $100 saved. The moving team was very efficient and fast. They worked really hard. My only complaint is that I am missing a shelf from an IKEA shelving unit they moved for me, and they left packing wrap behind on some of my furniture. Other than that, I highly recommend this company and think they go above and beyond the other company I had used in the past. I also have to note that it was pretty annoying that their office constantly contacted me via text and email after my move asking if I had someone moving in the near future that I would recommend them for services. I was happy with their services, but what person that recently moved knows someone else who is about to move around the same time? They need to be more thoughtful about the referral process.

I bought a used TV entertainment center, it was much bigger and heavier than I had anticipated. The…read moreseller couldn't do much to help load it by himself and I'm in no shape to help with something heavy such as that, so I did a project search on Yelp and found ISMoving. Right away they were really eager to help. They offered a few daytime time slots but the seller worked all day so when I told them it would best to scheduled after 5pm. No problem, they gave a scheduled appointment within two days in the same week for 530pm. Seller was agreeable and we all showed up at the right time. The seller had taken some of it apart but he'd not wanted to move the pieces without help. His home was gorgeous and very big. There were triple steps in and down to the space with the entertainment center. The garage, a straight shot out to the loading truck but it had two concerns, if it would fit through the garage door and if the path through the garage was wide enough to allow passage. (The garage was loaded with stuff so a narrow path existed but it would require careful footing) A quick assessment by ISMoving and they decided they could handle the stairs without problems. They were very careful with handling of each piece wrapping the glass pieces carefully with padding and with the aid of straps they picked up each piece and loaded everything in the truck. They made the move of each piece as if they were light as a feather. After the truck was loaded and everything strapped secured they made the quick trip to my house. I had moved things around and had nothing in the path through my garage and they were able to bring all but one piece through the garage. But they felt the center piece, which was more like a bottom of a hutch, would be better through the front. They were concerned about the ornate moldings and didn't want anything scraped. They moved a few items of furniture out of the way that would impede their path. And just like that I had all five pieces in my family room. They set about putting it all together and ensured everything was plugged in and lights working. They even moved my TV into the spot and offered to hook up my electronics like the cable box, the sound bar and the DVD player, but I needed to swap my cable box out for wireless and I thought it best to wait. These guys worked hard, careful and cautious with my newly purchased piece. They communicated with me about each pieced moved and with each other. I would recommend this company to get your moving job done! They are reliable, cautious and worked well as a team. Pricing is great as well. If I have desire to move things in the future I'm sure to keep them in mind!
