If I could give them a "0," I would. I booked an appointment 3 days in advance for a loading of all of my household goods for a 9am pickup on a Thursday. Andrew (owner / a great salesman) estimated about 3 hours. (PERFECT, because I was leaving at 6am the next morning, so they'd be done around 12pm.) The movers showed up sometime after 9:30ish am. They did call to let me know they were running late. One guy smelled like weed and looked like he literally just woke up. At 10am an employee (he told me he'd only been working for them for a little over a month) left a tape roll on the floor, and while carrying an end-table, tripped on the tape roll and KNOCKED A HUGE HOLE in the sheetrock of the house I just sold The mover hurt his ankle (I felt bad for him) but BOTH guys left my house around 10:15am. The owner Andrew contacted me and told me that he had a replacement guy who'd be at my home at 2pm. Then (the guy who hurt his ankle) let me know his replacement would be at my house between 4-5pm. Then, he (injured new guy) let me know it would be after 7pm. Then, he (the injured, new employee) let me know that they could not help me at all that day...no help was coming, no replacement. (It was now 3:30pm.) The last contact from Andrew the owner assured me that everything was OK, and to take a 'breather' and to not panic. Then there was NO more contact from Andrew, the owner. He wouldn't offer up any other solution, no additional guys. (He knew I had to be out of my house 6am the next morning.) No compensation for the HOLE knocked in my wall. No compensation for wasting my entire day while I sat around waiting. (I have texts between all involved to backup the series of events if Andrew, the owner, tries to dispute this claim/review.) He was completely unprofessional, did not follow through on the move. I received 15 minutes of work from Veterans Moving company, they damaged my home, then never showed back up to complete the job. SO then I had to book an EMERGENCY MOVE from another reputable moving company that cost triple the price because I needed them at 5pm. read more

I work for a moving company and have to hire help for out of state moves.. most of the time I find a good company to assist but this time was much different. Long story short, A two man team turned into a one man team due to one calling in, the other one showed up over two hours late despite me being in constant contact with Andrew (the owner) trying to find out when help would be there, and while we were on the phone Andrew placed blame on his employees and was swearing when trying to give me excuses. By the time his employee got to me I had unloaded 99% of the trailer myself only needed his help for 3 items, so I paid him a $1 per minute of his time and sent him on his way. Bottom line, based on my experience: Poor business skills, unreliable, would not recommend. Sometimes the cheapest is the cheapest for a reason. Unfortunately for me, sometimes the last one with an opening is the last one for a reason. .... and to the lady with damaged furniture in a previous review: don't waste your time getting a lawyer. Even if he is insured you only get 60 cents per pound, despite the value. Best thing you can do is warm others. read more

Wow, I'm impressed! I gave them a chance with only a couple reviews and I'm glad I did. Within (literally) 30 seconds of requesting a quote online Andrew, the owner, gave me a call and explained their pricing and availability. Since he was the first person to respond I told him I was going to wait for a couple other quotes to come through and compare and look up reviews. Their price came back as the most competitive and I called him back a few days later. Scheduling was easy and he explained that they had a few different crews that were available. Alfonso and Josh, who are cousins, were the crew that were assigned to us for both days we needed them. I HIGHLY recommend asking for them by name. They called to confirm they were on their way, and they showed up early with a dolly, some wrap and tie down straps. They were very polite and listened patiently while we explained what we wanted moved and our game plan. They were eager to help with whatever was needed and were shot out of a cannon getting stuff loaded. They took care with all of our items, and never scratched a wall or door. They were super efficient and worked much longer than we had originally asked for in the quote, mainly because they were so good we had them move all the little stuff my wife and I were planning to move the next day ourselves. Moving sucks! We all hate it, but Alfonso and Josh really made it a much less painful experience. They were great workers, fun to talk to and just all around great guys. I was very impressed with the efficiency and Andrews ability to get people to my house to help me pack even before our move. Move day came and I had above and beyond what they asked for far as supplies. At the very end they needed more guys to load my husbands motor which I said ok no problem. I was happy to pay for the help. Fast forward to getting our trailer unloaded. Yes, I know things shift in transport and to expect minor damage but what we encountered was beyond. And considering they had 2 dozen moving blankets and 3 sets of ratchet straps this shouldn't have been an issue. However, we were pulling out completely destroyed pieces of furniture. End tables and shelving units busted to pieces. My glass top for my desk was laid at the bottom on the trailer. It's glass!! Boxes and their contents smashed because they were put under the weight of stuff. We found 8 perfectly folded moving blankets laying on top of boxes in the middle of the trailer. Deep scratches, rubbing and ruts on everything. I contacted Andrew the entire time we unloading just asking what we needed to do as he had stated he was bonded and insured. I figured no worries easy fix we file insurance claim or something. He has yet to get back with me, its been over 2 weeks since first text regarding issue; something that could have so easily have been handled. Now I have had to retain a lawyer because I can't even get him to call me back. Your word is only good if you stand behind it. Highly disappointing experience. Edited in response to Alfonsos comment. I had no issues with the movers themselves, you guys were amazing while in my home. And yep my two toddlers had to be corralled when moving stuff out the front door because that is where we keeping them. No we were not ready to move as I explained in tears a few times. This move was to reunite our family that had been separated for 7 months as it was myself and two toddlers. I never said the couch in my review. That actually made it better than both dressers, my bathroom stand, and 2 end stands, and my daughter's dresser. And if we had more room why was I told we were out and I had to leave stuff and stuff was packed to the door? I'm confused? You guys were great and we communicated well I thought. I am upset because this should be a quick and easy thing to turn into insurance and yet for 2 weeks no one has returned my messages. read more

Huge & heavy items were handles with ease, everything expertly padded and protected, and highly efficient. They were extremely personable and courteous. They did an ok job moving us. But it took them 5 hours to move two beds a couch and a dresser. When they disassembled the bed they didn't keep track of all the parts and I found washers outside of our old place that were missed that they didn't take with them. And then when they "assembled" the bed, it was not assembled but just the wood laid down and nothing screwed in. So our bed was really unstable to the point where it felt as if it were going to break. We had to take the bed off and screw everything in ourselves. The worst part is that they didn't provide us a receipt. We have had them twice now and they keep saying that they will email us a receipt but still haven't. It's just sad because we hired them to support a veteran company and even tipped them $50 each because we know it's hard work and it's hot. But by not providing something simple as a receipt is just bad business practice. I won't hire this company again to move me or recommend them. Please don't use them. Save your time and either do it yourself or hire someone who's actually professional. read more

This was one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with. Not only did they show up three hours late, they were rude and argumentative. They broke my door and refused to fix it or even accept responsibility for it! They couldn't even be bothered to look at it, they instead tried to blame my 73 year old mother. For over $850 here's the service I received from Andrew and his crew: 1. A stainless steel refridgerator dented and scraped across the front doors-never considered by Andrew for repair/reimburse 2. Gouged out, scraped and cracked saltillo tile-never considered by Andrew for repair/reimburse 3. Front glass panels from a cabinet broken and destroyed-Andrew agreed to repair this but never came through on this. He refuses to return my phone calls 4. Multiple scrapes and scratches on hardwood pieces of furniture-never considered by Andrew for repair/reimburse Based on my experience with Veterans Moving, I would not recommend them for any moves. read more

In order to execute our time-restricted move, everything had to run like clockwork. Veterans Moving did not disappoint! Andrew contacted me the day before the move to confirm a 10:30 arrival for his crew. He suggested that I have S hooks, furniture pads, and plastic stretch wrap in 5" and 15" sizes ready for the move. This information was invaluable for efficiency and keeping everything safe. Ricky and Gabriel arrived early at 10:00 and were professional and so nice and kind. And oh my gosh, they worked so hard! My son's entire apartment was packed into the U-Haul in 2 hours. The proof of their excellence was when we opened the roll-up doors to unload the truck and everything was exactly where they had carefully secured it. Not one broken item, not one thing out of place. so to my understanding, the whole point of hiring a moving company is to make life a little easier on the people! however that was not the case here. first off the owner andrew, was very rude and as disrespectful as they come. his employees patrick and jacob were by far amazing, but andrew made the beginning of my experience dreadful. he is extremely unorganized, talks down and belittles the customer and has little to no experience as a business owner, let alone being as such for a moving company. beware,beware,beware,beware,beware------ stay away from veterans moving, and his employees are not even veterans, but they were wonderful. read more

Wow, great job by Veterans Moving Co! I originally was supposed to use other movers but was unable to book. I found Veterans Moving Co on Moving Helpers and requested their services for the following day. They called right after I submitted the request and were able to fit me into their schedule. The gentleman did a great job! We had a very large and heavy tv stand that they handled like pros. They not just moved it to the truck but had to carry it down a flight of stairs and then navigate it several yards through our complex to get to the truck. They were extremely helpful on getting us prepped for the loading. Bc it was load only they instructed us on equipment to get to protect our stuff and what specific brands to look for to receive the best results. I was most impressed with how they loaded the truck. Everything was loaded and stacked well and then secured amazingly. We had to drive our Penske through extremely rough terrain including up and down some steep hills and the items didn't move an inch.
