I came here after the first 2 shops I visited turned me away. I have a Mazda MX-5 that has a plastic molding around the windshield that flew off on the highway. Windshield was fine but the first 2 shops said they don't work on plastic (however, it's part of the windshield replacement process). Omar greeted me, looked at my car and said he would consult his technician and get me a quote. I got the quote next day, paid a deposit, and they completed the work in 1 hour. Completely delighted with the service from these folks. I chatted via Yelp with Luna who helped me quickly and easily get an assessment of what was needed to fix my broken windshield for my Tesla Model 3. They were able to schedule me for same-day service at their shop in Hayward. Luna was friendly and efficient; so were the technicians who did the windshield replacement. They did the job faster than they quoted, and the workmanship was great. Overall customer service was fantastic, too: good manners and friendly demeanor from everybody involved. Payment was easy, and most of the transaction was handled either from mobile messaging or email. This was a huge contrast from trying to do the same thing with Safelite (they mis-represented their service, canceled my appointment same-day after delaying it twice). I could go on, but mostly I want to point out how exceptional Bayarea Autoglass Depot was with their service experience. Someone broke my passenger window in hopes to find some valuables in my glove compartment - only to find masks and napkins. Who actually puts valuables in their cars anymore. Seriously. I didn't want to drive to an auto shop and get glass everywhere so I searched for a mobile auto shop and Bay Area Auto Glass Depot was the first to get back to me. I have a Toyota Prius and he quoted me at $289 (including a discount) with lifetime warranty and someone would drive over to fix it same day. He took a $50 deposit and a mechanic would come in about 3 hours. It sounded a little pricey, but for same day repair and mobile service, I didn't mind the price. I just wanted to get my window fix ASAP and hope karma gets who ever broke my window. Armando arrived 15mins after the stated timeframe, but I was informed and noted that he was coming to SF from Hayward. He was professional and very quick. Took about 30-40mins. He cleaned and vacuumed all the glass (even the dirt in my car!) and on the ground :) He informed us when he was done and we payed via credit card the rest of the bill. Fell victim to a smash and grab event in the city of Oakland. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from parking your car here even for a few hours especially nowadays, and SF included as crime/ vandalization rates are at an all time high right now. Anyway, so glad I found Bay Area Auto Glass Depot. Omar was a pleasant representative to speak with and responded to my quote request in a timely manner. He quickly deployed one of his tech staff Luis to my location to help replace my Driver Side Quarter Panel Glass, Driver Side Rear Door Glass. Luis was helpful and even took off the door panel to shake out and vacuum up all the glass debris. He suggested that I get an interior detail soon so that the rest of the glass shards can be removed. Though he did clean up the majority of the mess the thieves left. I think he was able to get the window replacement done in less than 2 hrs.
