I was driving down 580 from Emeryville in my girlfriends car this afternoon when a car on my left kicked up a rock and smashed my rear drivers side window. I got home half an hour later and immediately put out feelers on yelp for a window replacement, and Chris responded immediately, with a quote and that he could get the work done same day. Pros: Did an inquiry through Yelp, and got a very quick response. The service was pretty fast (around 2-3 hours)! It was also the most affordable option in the Hayward area by $100 so I'd say it was a good option. Con: After getting the service done, I noticed that the window sounded like it wasn't sealed properly? Whenever I'm on the freeway, I can hear the air coming through the window - it's pretty noisy. My brand new suv got broken into, smashing 2 glasses to grab a bunch of my stuff in the trunk, learned expensive lesson to not leave anything valuable in the car, even in the trunk. I contacted the insurance, they referred me to Safelite for glass repair, I was not thrilled by their choice, yelp reviews were really bad for that company and I got a large corporation, dont care kinda of a vibe from them. Anyway, I contacted the top 3 glass repair companies on yelp, but chose this place because stellar reviews and personal recommendation. Chris came out promptly to replace the glasses once they had received oem glasses from the dealership. The repair was completed in less than an hour, they nicely removed all small bits and pieces of my broken glass window and did a great job. The next day, when I was walking towards the car, I noticed that the quarter glass was not sitting flush even though the job looked spotless, called Chris, sent photos and immediately Chris talked to the dealer, within an hour confirmed that the glass is possibly a defective piece. Let me tell you, this was a no bullshit conversation. I was happily surprised the next day when I received a message that the replacement quarter glass is at their shop. I went to the shop and Chris replaced the glass again with a smile and this time it was perfectly set without any gaps or alignment issues. Started working with Chris earlier this year when I got a windshield chip in my Model 3. Fast forward to late April and I got 2 chips which turned into long cracks on the same drive. Ridiculous. The Model 3 is awesome but the windshield is weak. Chris and Robert replaced my windshield and did a great job. Could not believe how much work was involved to disassembling/reslassembling the rear view mirror and dash cam assembly. Big job. They did great.
