Is anyone else concerned with how much they charge and how they do tests that weren't asked for? 600$ later for checking on an eye infection and an set of blood work. I mean 600$! Yes they are good to my animals and yes they are driving to the home, but to be double the price of every other place...? It is just wrong in my eyes. I can't understand taking advantage of vulnerable people who are concerned for their pets. I will never use them again but my family will continue to be price gouged. read more

I was so grateful to find Vets Here - Dr. Fanning is caring and professional. Our Murphy was over 100lbs and unable to walk - she came out assessed him and prescribed meds. She was honest with us and we were able to give him hospice care for 3 months.I expected to pay more for a home visit - and it was reasonable in my opinion, but beyond that, the fact that he wasn't stressed was worth it. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our big sweet guy 2 weeks ago. It was heartbreaking, and Dr. Fanning and her assistant were with us every step of the way. When she came in, Murphy greeted her with big kisses, and that made me feel better. He went to the Rainbow Bridge with us all surrounding him with love and kisses. Dr. Sarkisian came out to give our beloved dog her angel wings. While it was a very sad occasion, the doctor was patient, kind, and gentle with our pup. He explained everything thoroughly, administered things while keeping our dog at ease, reassured us, and gave us private time to say goodbye. Sadly, my beloved, Luna ~ a 13 year old blue heeler came to the end of her beautiful life yesterday. Dr Sarkisian and Desiree came to our home to assist in her passing. If I could give zero stars I would. Vet's Here! had been taking care of my dogs for over 3 years. My very sick old girl was in severe pain/distress I called Friday, explaining my situation, and basically begging for them to come and see her. I was told the earliest appointment they had was Sunday! I explained my desperate situation again asking if there was please any way they could fit her in and was told not until Sunday. My long-time vet recently retired, and Max, the cat, was sick. Getting Max into a carrier for any reason is always problematic. I had heard good things about Dr. Sarkisian at Vet's Here. He and his assistant made treatment at home so much less stressful for both Max and me. They are, as said before and greatly appreciated, kind, gentle, and sensitive. Vet's Here used to be great. Now a bunch of us, original clients for six to seven years, lament on our pet walks how Vet's Here is noticeably getting worse and worse in offering quality care. We used to love Dr. Fanning and Dr. Miller was just fantastic and extremely personable; it's too bad he left. Overall, Vet's Here now manages to increase costs for increasingly non-caring vet service. It's too bad that the rush for higher profits is more important to them than offering quality vet care. It's become "Vet's Nowhere" for a number of us, and we're looking for a decent, knowledgeable caring vet not interested in running our bills as high as possible. read more

Just had Dr. Fanning out to our home to meet and take care of our beloved dogs and cat. The French Bulldog, melted in her lap, the Jack Russell even let her trim her nails!!! The old cat didn't seem to notice he was being seen! Dr. Fanning is warm and caring and open to different options of care for your pets. Her mobile unit is state of the art and I knew my pets would be well cared for, without having to leave home! Our neighbor even came over and asked for a visit for her cat, which she too, was VERY happy about the care! I'm so grateful for Dr. Fanning especially since there is NO emergency care for animals in the Valley. She is not available 24/7, the woman DOES have a family, but she is open to helping her established clients at any time. Thanx Dr. Fanning! I love Dr. Fanning and her spectacular partners and crew. They have been taking care of my cats since 2012. They've tested and healed and been clear and realistic about financial matters. They've helped me know what is best for elderly animals, and helped me learn how to take care of my twenty-year-old, Pearl, who is doing really well with subcutaneous fluids every other day and her prescribed medications. That they come to me, and that they work on weekends is the frosting on the cake. I recommend them highly. read more

I highly recommend Vet's Here in the Santa Ynez area. I had a very positive experience under the worst circumstances, where my beloved cat of 14 years, Shanti, was diagnosed with face cancer. From the very beginning the staff was very kind, sensitive, professional, accommodating, skilled, honest, and timely. They were very considerate of all aspects, whether it was answering my questions or requests, going through options with the needed care, and cost etc. I did not feel they took advantage with testing or cost. Dr. Stephanie Klein was upfront, and communicated through each phase and option given the critical nature of the situation with my cat's health. She was clear, and informative, with zero pressure, and honored every decision I made with kindness and respect. Dr. Stephanie was incredible the whole way through... She is not only skilled and gave excellent care along the way with every procedure, but her presence, integrity, heart, compassion and ability to be attuned to me and Shanti's needs were truly perfect. The entire staff was nothing but amazing... Ashley and Tawny who helped with scheduling, etc, were so helpful, respectful, patient, efficient, effective, accommodating, and kind. And given the up and down nature of my cat's process with her condition these past months, we did not make it easy on them. Yet, they all rose to the occasion every step of the way with what unfolded. I am very impressed and grateful, and will forever appreciate the integrity, heart, skill and care they offered along the way through this extremely difficult process, especially navigating the extra challenge of this time with social distancing etc. Thank You from the bottom of my heart, Vet's Here... I moved to the Santa Ynez Valley in late summer of 2013 and have since seen the team from Vet's Here 3 times. They are fantastic. Not only is it wonderful to have home visits - which are far less stressful on my aging cats - but both Dr. Fanning and Dr. Miller and their vet techs are so thorough and pleasant to work with. And eager to help you find natural remedies for whatever is affecting your pet. When my regular vet office said they could not see my bleeding dog (who was in need of surgery) for two weeks, I was frantic. I reached out to Vet's Here and Dr. Fanning was able to fit in my pup in that same day. From the first phone call to follow-ups I was impressed with Dr. Fanning's professional and caring staff. Dr. Fanning is a great vet that is up on the current research and techniques. She took the time to explain the surgery and her research based methods, including the special precautions my senior sighthound needed for successful anesthesia. DR Fanning and her assistant Roni are amazing :) it was a sunday and no one else was open, they got me in very fast and where extremely helpful . she spoke in words that i could understand and gave me several options to choice from in ways of treatment and didn't try to sell me on the most expensive one and they are very reasonably priced :) i would not hesitate to send my friends to her . thank you DR Fanning and Roni for your amazing help. Wonderful experience. Dr. Fanning treated our dog with great compassion, and worked with us to come up with a treatment plan that we could afford - explaining our options clearly, without advocating the more expensive options as some other vets in the area might have done. We came away from the visit feeling relieved about our dog's prognosis, and with a good understanding of what we might expect should the treatment we all agreed upon not be sufficient to heal the dog's condition. She and her team were kind and helpful, and my dog (and my husband and I) came away from the experience happy and feeling much better. Can't recommend her practice enough. The fact that he's is a mobile service, and comes to your home, is surely icing on an already excellent cake! read more
