No, instead you flat out ignore people who are desperate. People who are trying to do the right thing by trying to get help for animals rather than abandonimg them on the street, then be chastised for being cruel. It is your business to be compassionate and caring and yet you coldly ignore people's cries for help. And you call yourself a rescue. Rescuing what?

Doris was incredibly responsive and helpful, guiding us through the process as we provided proof of our ability to care for a dog at home. We had a wonderful visit with the foster family, and to our surprise, we had Enzo home with us within just three days--much quicker than we had anticipated. Spark Rescue followed up with all the necessary medical, microchip information, and we were thoroughly impressed with everything they had done for our sweet boy. I had a few questions regarding the process that Doris answered at the event. We went home and filled out the application. Spark Rescue is thorough. There was the application, meeting the pup at the wonderful foster's home which we stayed for quite a long time. Then the foster brought the puppy to our home and checked out our place for puppy safety and made sure our son was comfortable around her (he was a bit nervous at the first meeting) Finally we signed the contract after ensuring there was a quick adjustment to our railing so the puppy couldn't take any leaps from the second story. It is a process but you can tell they want to ensure the dogs to not end up abandoned or given to a neglectful home.

Zeus was in my arms 5 minutes upon arriving. Like most, my dogs are my family and my babies. I am so grateful for everyone who took care of him overnight loved on him and made him feel safe. Her guinea pig had recently passed and she was enamored with this bunny. He introduced us to the bunny and educated us on how to handle her, where she came from, and many specifics about bunnies in general. After a while he left us to hold her and pet her which was enjoyable and sweet. We took some information about bunny care. We learned a lot, and had a wonderful experience just holding a sweet bunny! If we ever decide to adopt a bunny, we will definitely choose one here.

The area around here has the Humane society, animal shelter, Dog Adoption, etc. So if you're not looking for rabbits, they have guinea pigs, dogs, cats, and maybe other kinds of rodents. I fell in love with my guinea pig, Marbles. My heart just broke knowing that these animals were not wanted anymore or were living under the crawl space of a house. I wanted to take them all in! But they were in good care, the workers there loved every single of their animals and constantly play with them and make sure they are happy. The bunnies lived in their own pens where they can run around and talk to the other animals. The guinea pigs sometimes play with rabbits together! Even if you don't want to adopt an animal, just stop by and pay the animals a visit.

Prior to my trip, Connie did a meet and greet at my house and answered all my questions, as well as went through the instructions I left her. When her symptoms worsened and I brought her back to the ER, the team treated her with urgency, kindness, and compassion. They reassured me throughout the process and made me feel like I wasn't facing this alone. Dr. Whitney has been exceptional. She has patiently answered every question I've had, communicated honestly, referred us to the appropriate specialists when needed, and has checked in repeatedly to see how Hazel is doing. It's usually a last resort situation and often time an emergency. So most people walking through the door (including myself) are usually extremely stressed out, sad and pretty much defeated. Not to mention the fact that we know it will potentially cost us A LOT of money ! So why is the staff, especially the people at the front desk so unfriendly, cold, apathetic and shows zero empathy to us desperate pet parents ? This is a mystery. AVS is in it for the money, and that's fair. But for gods sake, please try a little harder ! Gentleness, kindness and compassion usually go a long way. And also, learn to smile ! Be human, with us humans ! We are not robots, nor are you. I get it, you're running a hospital, not a restaurant. Nonetheless, you're still serving your community, at its most vulnerable time, regardless of the fact that you like it or not ! I will certainly be back if I have to, but in the meantime I really hope you commit to teaching higher standards to your staff. You can do a lot better. Also, imposing a $500 add on "after hours fee" for services performed after 5pm sounds unreasonable. Especially for a facility that's open 24/7. After Hours starts after 10pm, maybe 8pm, but definitely not after 5pm. And if they can't charge you the After Hours fee, because your pet is released before 5pm, they'll charge you the $210 add on priority fee. Anyway, you lose ! But AVS has a monopoly situation in Santa Barbara, so I guess they make the rules...

Bree was great with scheduling a time and even day of with the drop off. Our dog is really not happy with other dogs and she was super sensitive to keep her separate from any other pups. My issue with groomers is how long they keep an animal and we had to wait well beyond the agreed upon pick-up time. Bree didn't call to let us know pick up time would be later than planned, so we ended up having to wait at her business location for another half hour. Our baby was groomed by a trainee and she looked really good! There were a couple modifications we would make, but otherwise we were really impressed. Our pup seemed happy when we picked her up, too.

This was our first time using Bree's Mobile Paw Spa, as we were needing a groomer who could tend to…read moreour senior dog. While there was a hiccup with our originally scheduled grooming appointment (I was told their system mixed up their day's appointments), the company fixed their error and got us on the calendar for a new date for the following week. I truly look forward to this company getting all their "ducks in a row" as far as timely scheduling goes- only because we moved around several obligations in our schedules to make the first appointment work- only for no one to come. If this issue was remedied, they would then, without a doubt, get five stars in my book! Bree was timely and so so sweet with our dog. We could tell right away that she has a lot of knowledge and experience working with canines and treated ours with such love and care. Our dog tends to have quite a bit of separation anxiety but she did seem comfortable enough (as much as we can expect with anyone!) to go with Bree to the mobile spa... and it eased this dog mom's heart knowing that our pup was just a walk down the driveway! Our dog desperately needed a good groom! I was in awe of how quickly Bree was able to do her work, as our dog came back so fresh and soft! We are so grateful that there is a service like this available in our area and that we can trust someone to take care of our pet like they would their very own! We look forward to using Bree's Mobile Paw Spa again!
