When we came in heartbroken the team heard our story and saw our sweet baby and jumped into action! The people that work here are amazing. I went first to have my dog fixed. Everyone was tender, gave me directions, told me the consequences of not making her wear her cone. A few weeks later my dog ate a lot of rat poison. I called, was immediately admitted and was very informed of what happened while she was in recovery. I really liked Dr Keating, all 6 of my pets were seen here at one point. This past summer, I made the most difficult decision and decided to put my kitty to sleep as her seizures got so bad, it pretty much left her paralyzed, no life for a cat. Anyway, as if making the decision to put my loving pet down wasn't traumatic enough, continue reading. Day of euthanasia: Dr Keating and Sandy took my kitty to the back to administer the sedation injection, the actual euthanasia was to follow, HOWEVER, my kitty wasn't asleep, they had to take her back for a second injection as she was still fully awake. Heartbreaking, right? Almost as if she didn't want to go. Euthanasia followed and she was gone. Moments in between this entire experience, the girl from the front comes in and asks if we want a piece of my cat's fur. We say yes. We were asked about her urn and paw prints, we opted for paw prints (additional $50). Saying goodbye to my fur baby seemed so rushed, Dr kept coming in to see if we were done saying goodbye yet the whole while he was saying "take your time". Fast forward to the day I had to pick up my cat's ashes, no paw prints, no fur, the girl in the front made excuses which honestly, weren't true. I would've felt better if she had just accepted fault for not opting us in for the paw prints because that's exactly what happened. Anyway, overall, nice doctor but this was a terrible enough experience to decide I'm never coming back. read more

This has even included the times where we had to send out pets across the Rainbow Bridge and Dr. Keating and his staff have always been very supportive as we went through the grief. Although we were not an existing patient the staff did a great job of making time to fit our dog in under the circumstances. Please make sure you close the door or go somewhere to talk about your ASSUMPTIONS on how we neglect our pet. It was extremely rude, insensitive, and unprofessional. The staff was not compassionate with our pet when we brought him in for an infection and they started talking about how disgusting he was and how we don't take care of him even though we brought him in for the infection they were talking about. We were in shock because we love our pet and take care of him but this infection has been heartbreaking and out of our control and to have this unprofessional staff gossip lies about our family is completely uncalled for and unacceptable. read more

Came here with the recommendation of a colleague who lives in the area. My mother's cat had been peeing in the hallway in addition to her litter box. Friends suggested it might be a UTI. I called and was able to make an appointment the same day. My mother just got out of the hospital and isn't in a state where she can wrangle a cat, carrier and drive, so I took her in and there were no issues with taking in my mom's cat. The vet, Dr. Keating, seemed genuinely warm toward the cat, who was visibly shaking in fear and eager to be anywhere but there. She was given a senior blood panel and they took a sterile urine sample by sticking a needle into her bladder. The doctor praised the cat - saying she was remarkably good natured - as many of their feline patients do not put up with needles. The doctor was very frank, yet caring, in what he surmised was the problem - kidney failure. She's now on a prescription kidney-friendly cat food. Test results came in the next day and the vet called me at home with what they had figured out from the blood work and urinalysis. They were very careful to make sure the cat did not escape. They always have a minimum of two people handling the animal when doing an injection or other procedure. They also do boarding there and grooming - but I cannot give any review on those extra services. The staff seems to genuinely love animals and are very friendly to people and pets when they come and go. read more

Dr. Keating and staff are exceptional. When we moved to the Carrollton area five years ago we had to find a vet, and I called several places to conduct "interviews" of the staff and ask questions. Of all places I called, Trinity Pet Hospital was the most customer friendly and pet centered. All the staff here is great, and we also choose to board out two dogs here because of how well they are treated. Dr. Keating is thorough, but not the kind to push extras on you. He takes his time during your appointments, and really explains every procedure well. Theresa the office manager is just wonderful, and I can't say enough about how well she and the other vet techs and staff have treated me and my two dogs. Here's a bonus...I once had a medical emergency of my own while there with one of my dogs. The staff had to call 911 for me and Dr. Keating and his staff were attentive to me and my needs as well!! They even kept my dog safe while I was taken to the ER, and continued to check in with me after the incident. Everything turned out well, but I am just thankful that Dr. Keating and staff were there to help!! read more

I found this place when I was devastated at the after received a 6000$ quote from the ER nearby. My pup was diagnosed with. PARVO. I called Trinity Hospital and was told that I can bring my pup in right away and it's only 10% of what the ER quoted me. Thanks God I found Trinity Hospital. The nurses took care of my pup right when I got there, that's how dedicated they are. Everyone was very understanding, let us visit our pup many times a day, keeps us updated on the puppys condition. I simply adore these people!! Dr K is amazing and compassionate! The staff loves animals. (You'd be surprised how often this isn't the case at a vet office). They employ a balance of what is best for you and your pets, their business and the most effective treatments. I feel I have always been respected and never lied to. I have always been given a range of options for treatment and told the harsh truth when I asked then to tell me worst case scenario. Dr K is fairly conservative in his approach to treatment and, IMHO, doesn't believe in doing tests or procedures just because they are options. They aren't able to allow you to pay them out directly because unfortunately, so many people weren't able to keep up with their obligations and they had to engage in collection activities. They do accept CareCredit which is relatively easy to be approved for so overall, I would recommend driving out of your way to come to this office. It does smell like a typical vet's office but that is the only less than glowing comment I would make. My furbabies are my children and I trust this office beyond reproach. Was so worried about getting my puppy spayed especially since she was a little older, she healed up perfectly, except for the shave job which is still growing in (I am totally kidding). Absolutely horrid! Now I will say I went in for an emergency visit and they had a fill in Vet, I do not remember her name but she was an elderly woman. My dog was super sick, and she brushed it off as nothing and sent him home with an antibiotic just for the heck of it. I took my dog to another vet afterward and he had neuro issues that were treated immediately with steroids, antiemetics and sent home with the oral form. Thank god he is better now after being "treated" My dog has been to a number of vets because I travel, and never encountered an experience like this. and he is 14 read more

I've been taking Milo to Dr. Keating since he was two months old. The first time we took him in was because we thought he got into some rat poison. We were so scared for my little guy, we rushed to see a vet. Most vets would not see him without an appt. We came across Dr. Keating and he took him in immediately. After doing some testing, he assured us he was fine and did not get into the rat poison. Either way he gave him some back-up medicine just to be on the safe side since he knew we were so concerned. What I admired the most about that visit was that he even went out of his way to find a more affordable medicine for Milo without us even asking. It really showed his true kindness, and love for what he does. I am so grateful knowing we can always count on him to always take excellent care of Milo. read more

We took our dog in because he had been limping for several days and was not getting any better. After the exam, the doctor was insistent on us getting surgery for our dog. He stated there was a ruptured disk on his spine and if surgery wasn't done in the next 24 hours, then my dog would have been paralyzed. It was close to closing but we had more questions for the doctor. Unfortunately he had left for the day...I don't know how he came to that conclusion since an x-ray was never done. We were given some pain meds and decided to have our dog take that for the time being while we discussed our next steps. It turned out he just sprained his leg. After a week or so, his leg was fully healed. I feel like they were just after our money and the hospital they were referring us to for surgery was some how related to them. It's such a disappointment because I had high hopes for this place... read more

My family has been taking our pets here for years. The vet and techs are all very friendly, and definitely pet lovers. One of the best things though is the the doctor is very practical. When our lab had mammory tumors, we tried removal once, but when the tumors grew back within months, the doctor talked to us about chemo, but knowing she was 13, he never pressured us or made us feel guilty about making the painful decision to put her down. Very compassionate, realistic, and not expensive. I trust this office with my pets. read more

We LOVE Trinity Pet Hospital! We rescued two pugs from the DFW Pug Rescue and Trinity Pet Hospital is one of the great vets that gift their time, love and expertise to the rescue pugs; which is why we chose them to continue the care of our two. We have since moved almost an hour away and still choose to keep Dr Keating and his staff as our little furry family members' vet. Our pugs get excited as soon as we turn in to the parking lot. They love visiting Dr. Keating. We have also boarded them here twice and it's a huge relief to know they are being well cared for. Also, Miguel is a GREAT groomer, Bosco and Bailey are always shiny, soft and clean when they come home. If you're looking for a very knowledgeable and caring vet with a great staff I highly recommend you bring your furry family members here. read more

I typically do not write reviews but this warrants others knowing the services Dr. Keating's office offers are subpar, to say the least. My dearest friend has used this vet for years not knowing that when she boards her dog, they do not get walked/taken out for over 12 hours. One would think that your pet is safest with their vet, not here. Their blatant disregard to adhere to each pet's needs has me flabbergasted and my dearest friend mourning the loss of her dog. The office disregarded all the signs that her pet was deteriorating and the vet did nothing to assist or call. Rather, it took her taking her dog to the ER to be told that she was in critical condition. Had the vet stepped up to help her dog, she would still be with us today. Think twice before using this vet for any services especially boarding!!! read more
