This place used to be sooo freaking good! It seems like every time we go the chicken is getting smaller and smaller. it's still tasty but not worth the price tag. We spent $54 here and the lemonade was watered down, the asada was dry, and our beans were swimming in soup. Oh and the one chicharrón floating up top made us giggle. As for service the gentleman taking orders is nice. With the ladies though it's always hit or miss. Again, because I want to be fair, the chicken is delicious. I wish I knew how they made their red salsa for the chicken. I'll attach a photo of the asada plate that was about $16 so you can form your own opinion. Before I forget the rice is good too. The beans are also good but they skimp out and have been the last few times we've gone. The place itself is clean and it has a Mexican vibe that I personally like. I'm also from San Diego and we have great taco shops but this place deserves all the credit! Checks all my boxes... Delicious little TJ taco sized flour tortillas (I prefer flour over corn), tacos were accompanied by sour cream and creamy jalapeño hot sauce (Two of my favorite Mexican condiments), fairly priced for a filling 4 taco plate, and I was allowed 2 chicken and 2 Carne asada. Two entrances on opposing side of building. The parking lot is a little small, but it was fairly empty when I went Friday evening. I ordered the whole chicken with the rice and beans side and lamb birria tacos. It came with green sauce, which was creamy and had a bit of heat. The lamb birria hits the spot when you crave birria, but it wasn't extraordinary. The chicken was grilled well and not dry. The chicken meal came with several corn tortillas on the side, two rice sides, and one charro beans side. Both sides were delicious. The horchata was good as well. Lamb birria tacos - $11.04 Pollo meal - $23.60 Fresca - $3.69 Horchata - $3.00 There is a station near the front where the utensils are with their tomato salsa, onions, limes, pickled cabbage and carrots, and pickles. We stopped here for lunch and it was a little hard to find. Waze was saying it was on the other side of the road and it wasn't. We just happened to find it when we turned around to go back home. We ordered the chicken quesadillas and Carne asada taco with 4 drinks and it was $33 which is a little expensive but oh well. The food was good. Not the best but not the worst. The carne asada meat could be softer but had a good flavor. Would i come back probably not but thats because there are far too many other places to get the same thing for cheaper. read more

The food is amazing!! I get the half chicken meal, it comes with rice and ranchero beans. All of this is top notch!! It's rotisserie, but not like HEB gran and go.. these guys come out charred to perfection! You can also get a Mexican coke! I love this place and generally come here once a week or more. It really depends on the time of day and how long the drive through line is.. because it will go all the way into the street!!if that happens, it's very hard to park. There is simply not enough room to get into the lot while there is a line. Or if you do park, you can get blocked in for a while because you can't get out! Wow. Just really. Wow. If you are craving some AUTHENTIC Mexican food, then this is the place for you! It's a simple restaurant with a limited menu, but everything you will get is delicious and real to goodness Mexican food. My husband had the bbq street tacos, which he loved. I had the carne asada quesadillas. They were probably my the best quesadillas I've had in my whole life (and I've eaten quite a few.) the salsa was also really tasty with the perfect amount of spice--you could actually taste the flavor of the salsa. The charro beans were pretty good too. Overall, just a really great place for some authentic Mexican food. The only downside is that there's no margaritas, but oh well. My friend and I come by here pretty often and we always get the #10 carne asada plate. The portion is huge and the food is pretty good. The food itself lacks the WOW factor, hence the four stars, but adding the creamy green sauce onto the meat makes it worth getting. The green sauce really compliments the flavor of the meat well. The plate comes with carne asada, pico, sausage slices, onion, jalapeno, rice, beans, and tortillas. Warning to people who can't handle spicy, the pico has a lot of chopped jalapenos in it. I personally love spicy and always add more pico to my plate from the salsa bar but I can see how that pico wouldn't be fun for some people. For the drink, I love getting the pineapple juice here! Tarty and sweet, I would recommend it. I don't think they refill it though, but I didn't ever need one since it comes in a huge cup. read more

A long time ago this used to be the place for the best tasting chicken. They got very popular and very fast. I don't know if maybe they grew too quick and unexpectedly but it started to affect many aspects of what made this restaurant a great restaurant. First, the food started to become more blend. Coming from a big city where you have lot of boutique taco shops (Torchy's, Velvet Taco, El Rey) - I struggled to find a good street taco here in the Midland/Odessa area. Enter: Pollos Asados. I've been to both locations and they are both consistently good. I get the #6 chicken tacos which will cost you about $10 for 4 tacos. The layout at this Midland location is a little goofy - you have to pull up after you order to wait which gets pretty congested, people don't move up, etc. But the food is really good! The tacos can be a little bit greasy but the flavor and quality is fantastic. Expect to wait a bit if you are in the drive through. Enjoy! read more

Great authentic Mexican cuosine. I don't know where the owners are from but everything in the menu reminded me of my hometown Monterrey Mexico. Delicious chicken accompanied of an even more delicious green salsa. Burgers taste like nothing you've ever tasted before and the loaded potatoes are enormous.
