This was a pleasant find in Buena Vista! Veya Coffee Bar sits right on Main Street, introducing all the great local gems along the rest of the street. I had planned to stop in Buena Vista to fuel up on coffee. There were two places I had been to before that I had in mind. However when I turned onto Main Street, I immediately saw this new-to me coffee shop. And with a parking spot right out front! Inside is small, but cozy. Only a few tables and maybe seating for 10-12 people. Every table was full on a weekday morning, good for them! I did have to wait 5 minutes to order, since the employee was the only one behind the counter. He was making all the drinks and fulfilling food orders. I wanted to sit for a bit before getting back on the road, so I ordered a cortado. This was great, no complaints! Properly made, hint of sweetness from the milk to balance the delicious espresso. They have a small selection of food items. I remember seeing a breakfast burrito, avocado toast, yogurt/granola, and a few pastries. Also a selling point is their outdoor patio. It's more of a turf lawn with a table or two. I'd imagine in the summer they really ramp up the activity out there. With the mountains in the distance, c'mon! This seems like a coffee shop you'd find in Denver, not in a mountain town. Would definitely return for a good cup of coffee! read more

As people were standing in line a local resident walked in and made her way right to the front and ordered cutting in front of everyone. The lady at the counter just took her order.
