I came here at around noon on a Monday and I had a great experience! There was no line and multiple open tables. I shared a Reuben and it was soo good! It was juicy and full of flavor, I would 100% get it again. When you order you order in line at the front and then get your number and sit and they bring it to you. We got our food within 15ish minutes. There's a long going on on the wall that I dont understand but it was a quiet and delicious breakfast/lunch spot. read more

Delicious food in a beautiful setting. We had a party of five and tried quite a multitude of things. Everything was perfect. Such a beautiful setting (we were there in November and I imagine it's amazing in the summer) with outdoor seating There is also a path to walk down to the river, which was really nice after stuffing our faces! Typically I'm not a fan of counter service restaurants because I like to look over the whole menu before ordering, especially if there's a line of people behind me I'll just take a seat and order when I'm ready. That's not on Robins though, just my personal preference. We luckily went at a slower time where it wasn't busy and could take a moment or two to look. They had a huge menu full of breakfast and lunch items and I was pretty impressed. You order, grab a number and you can sit inside or outdoors on their nice patio overlooking the river nearby. Ordered breakfast and the food was hot, fresh and well seasoned. Everybody was extremely friendly working there especially the lady that took our order at the counter. I can see this place being super busy and crowded on the weekends. Also if you are staying in downtown Salida you will either need to drive or take a Uber/Lyft over there as it is not walking distance from the things to do downtown. I also loved the "wash your hands" sign that was in the bathroom, it was a funny touch. Very well kept and nice restaurant to visit, will definitely go back to try more of the menu next time in town! read more

They have a nice variety of food that is prepared with love, served with love, in a comfortable setting. Indoor dining features, large windows, high ceiling, and a fireplace on cold days. There's a lovely outdoor patio with covered tables along side of the river. read more

We arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes before they closing . I was feeling a little guilty about going in at that time but we were served like we had all the time. The service was great. Robins sits off State Rd. 50 in Salida. It's not near the Main Street area and is tucked away in a space that seems odd for a restaurant. With that being said, I left full and content. And isn't that all we really want? For the type of food that is served you'd expect table service as opposed to ordering at the counter. Welp, it's their house so they make the rules. Get in line, order your food and staffers will bring it to your table. Service was prompt and the line moved quickly on a fairly busy Saturday morning. One thing that was a sticker shock was the $5 coffee. Yes, it's bottomless. But c'mon now, are we really getting craft coffee from this place? Absolutely not. Other than that I found the prices to be appropriate considering the massive portions and the times we're currently living in. I'm a creature of habit. Even though some specialty dishes sounded intriguing my eyes locked with the corned beef hash. This plate of food was F-I-L-L-I-N-G. I felt like a lumberjack after making my way through this plate. Potatoes were cooked right and the eggs and toast were to my liking. I think I enjoyed my food more than my wife enjoyed hers, but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes. Though we didn't sit outside because it was pretty chilly, the patio is great. I'd imagine it's popping during the summer along the creek. There you will order just like McDonald's while surrounded by a lovely lovely clean restaurant that would be so pleasant to sit and be waited on. You'll order from the grumpy, unenthusiastic they/them hipster w zero personality. Then they charge you highest price in town for breakfast and drinks only to swivel that POS and expect you to Pre-Tip 20/25% before you sit down and never see anyone again, other than to run your typical food out and disappear again. Service and attitudes suck here! Entitled restaurant staff who should stick to Starbucks or worse are a hard way to make or build repeat customers. A Great Spot for lunch by the River!! My partner and I had a nice time at Robin's in Salida. We tried their burgers, and they were pretty good! My burger had crispy bacon on it, and my partner's had melted cheese--it hit the spot. The best part was sitting outside by the river. It was peaceful and had a nice view. The people working there were friendly. They smiled a lot and made sure we had everything we needed. We liked that they cared about how we were doing. Robin's has a relaxed feel. We didn't feel rushed. The outdoor seating was shaded and had big umbrellas to keep the sun off us. We watched the river flow by--it was calming. The menu had different kinds of burgers to choose from, and they were all affordable. The place seemed clean, and they were following safety guidelines, which made us feel comfortable. Robin has a great place for breakfast or lunch. There are quite a few tables situated in a couple of dining areas. The place is decorated with antique items and things from earlier years and it's clean and has a lot of natural light. When you walk in, you order from the menu at the counter and then find your table. The food comes out pretty quick and it's delicious. Check out the menu and you won't be disappointed. Only a few days into the new year, and I'm actually writing a review. I usually don't start this early but good food is good food. I'm on a little road trip from Texas and I'm heading back to Oregon and so on this little journey I've ended up in Salina Colorado. Basically I just wanted to get a good lunch in a small town and I had already passed a brewery, some Mexican restaurants, and a few other places. I do have a friend named Robin and thought if I took a picture she'd get a kick out of it. She did. As for the food, they had a good selection of breakfast items and sandwiches, wraps, burgers and even some vegan options. They even had some of the local beer that I saw right down the street. Prices were a little bit on the high side, but the food was actually worth it. I went simple and got a Reuben. Marble rye, lots and lots of onions, Swiss cheese and some thousand Island dressing. It was really good. The beer was from Soulcraft Brewing, which as I said was literally right down the street. I had a nice amber that was a little sweet and very drinkable. This was a great little find in a small town pretty much just a bump in the road on my way to Utah. Support local and enjoy. read more

This time I have to think that the biscuits and gravy is probably some of the best I have ever had. 1/2 order was enough for me. I didn't try my wife's, but she enjoyed it very much. We were originally planning on visiting another breakfast joint, but seemingly Tuesday is a good day to close breakfast restaurants in Salida, many were closed including our intended. Lucky for us we found Robins! I had a basic breakfast my husband had same. Only difference was how our eggs were cooked. Both were great , so was the coffee. I'll start by saying the staff was very friendly and the service was good. You order your food at the counter and they bring it out to you which I think made for speedier service. I also really enjoyed sitting on the back patio by the river. The food was very average. They didn't have a very expansive menu so I got the breakfast sandwich and wasn't super impressed. I added avocado to it which helped spice it up a bit but the two slices of (what felt like) Kraft square cheese kind of ruined it. It was too much cheese for me and not good quality cheese. The hash browns were also very bland so I had to load them up with some S and P. My boyfriend got the Avocado Benedict and said it was okay. Good but nothing to rave about. read more

Before we hit the road for home, we took in a wonderful little breakfast nook in Salida called Robin's. The atmosphere is artsy and whimsical, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I had eggs on a bed of corned beef and country potatoes with rye toast, and my wife had peach almond pancakes with a side of bacon. Everything was outstanding, including the coffee! Outside, there are huge purple sage plants. If you can find a stalk without bees on it, the flowers, easily scooped, have an intoxicating aroma.
