It's been a staple of Billings as long as I've been here. Cheap drinks mixed strong. No fucking…read morearound. We were a serious people. We wanted to get seriously drunk. The back half of the small bar was filled with people who totally "Had my back", but that sort of stuff doesn't matter to me. So I went up to the new machine replacing the juke box and we discussed what we were into and what we were gonna pick and stuff. I really don't think we even chatted 45 seconds. So I went back to the bar with my drink. About1-2 minutes later a good old boy who wasn't older than his early twenties and came to the Rainbow, with his girlfriend for a nice date. And he comes up beside me and insinuates I'm not a real man until I put a cigarette out on my bar skin through a dollar bill. I did so. Calmly. Then he looked at the dollar bill and said it didn't count because a little bit of Washington's portrait is still kind of visible. So I made a more concentrated effort and really did a number on that bill. I got all of Washington out this time. I have two cute scars. The kid was dressed all western like and he had a brand new Cowboy hat on. He would have been eaten alive in front of his girl had it gone down that way. It would have been fun to watch.

A casino adjoins next door, but other than peaking in, I didn't play. One of the dealers stopped over after his work and started chatting with us. Everyone at this place was so nice! I read a couple of negative reviews on here slamming the bartenders, and I don't know what they're talking about or if they even reviewed the right place. Our bartenders Chris and Lacy were great! Both were friendly and funny and constantly attentive to our drinks. Lacy even made a fresh bag of hot popcorn just for me. Which, as you'll see in my photo, comes with 4 different salt toppings so you can customize your popcorn. Winning! Chris made me one of his signature specialty shots, the "red rooster" with tequila and Tobasco and it was delicious! Definitely recommend. Also, the entire bar was spotlessly clean. There wasn't so much as a popcorn kernel on the floor, except for the one that I dropped and then felt awkward. This may sound weird to review, but even the bathrooms were spotless. Most bars like this would have filthy, nasty bathrooms without locks on the doors, no toilet paper, and a mess of paper towels on the floor. Ladies, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Not here. Totally clean everywhere. Perhaps best of all, we sat here for a few hours and racked up 10 or so drinks. Our total tab? $21. Toto, we're not in the big city anymore. So cheap. If I ever find myself back in Billings, I'm definitely stopping in here for happy hour or karaoke, which happens 365 days a year.

We're traveling for work so we wanted to do karaoke..drinks were served.. vibes were awesome.. the karaoke guy was even more awesome! He was super sweet, you could tell he liked his job.. well.. if you want to do karaoke you better STAY ON THE STAGE. Because the undercover ICE agent with no hair who also bartends on the weekends to make sure his bills are paid (child support is a pain).. will ruin your night.. don't touch the curtains on the stage and definitely don't roam around the floor to hype people up while you sing karaoke.. because he'll unleash his dogs on you (the security guards. That's right.. whoever you are that is security for this place.. just know.. he thinks u are his little minions)... anyways.. small guy. Cool bar.. just don't try to have fun on karaoke night.

Running around Billings, Montana and everyone swears the best burgers in town is The Burger Dive…read more They have appeared in multiple competitions and won numerous trophies. The decor is a bit circus like with scant furnishings and a crazy red checked floor. However, one look at the menu and you realize they they are innovative with menu design and constantly pushing the limits of unique food combinations. Today, on the sign board, they had a blueberry BBQ sauce. The servers are busy and customer service at times wavers. We ordered the "Best of Bash" burger with blackening seasoning, bacon, goat cheese, onion ring, arugula, garlic-basil mayo and a splash of sirachi aoili. The burger was dense and somewhat dry, while the sirachi was a small dollop it was tasted in only one bite. The beer battered onion rings were heavy and sweet. The cajun fries were good. The burger, fries and rings are decent, but not remarkable. I felt The Burger Dive may thrive in competitions, while serving the masses is more of a challenge. Rather than dwelling on my assessment, please give The Burger Dive a chance and rate them on your own. It is hard to besmudged a business when they have a large and loyal following. I wish The Burger Dive continued success.

The waitress and other staff are very professional and provided the right amount of attention. Plenty of things to look at while waiting for your food, including a huge blockbuster video sign. We went during lunch and it was very busy, but they kept up on the orders and cleaning.
