Stopped by this VIA 313 location for a slice of cheese pizza. It was served warm, fresh with ooegy goeey cheese. Delicious! This restaurant is large and have plenty of booths, tables or you can also choose to sit at the bar.

It's been 8 years since I last reviewed Via 313 and I still love it just as much as I did before. But now, it's had a makeover with more, comfortable seating. I like how they have a monthly cocktail menu, though I'm still sad they haven't brought back the Spaghetti Western from winter 2024. Currently the Hot Honey Marg and Apple Charlie's Old Fashioned is the fave. We have really gotten to know one of the waiters well (Ryan) and ask to be seated in his section every time because he's so nice and just a really good server. We can also trust that Ryan will give us solid recommendations when we want to try new cocktails. The Detroiter and Omnivore are still my favorite pizzas to order.

Via 313 in OakHill serves Detroit-style pizza that is known for its rectangular shape and sauce across the top. I love this type of pizza because the cheese and toppings are spread to the very edge and you are not stuck with empty crust. The focaccia-like dough develops a golden crunch on the bottom. They also have bar style pizza, appetizers and salads. When we arrived, we were greeted and accompanied to a table in the dining area. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating and make recommendations for the first timers in out party. There is also a bar area with a variety of beer, cocktail and wine. We went during the happy hour and they had several drink specials and I tried the white peach sangria. It wasn't a typical wine sangria as I am accustomed to but was crafted by the bartender. There were other $5 appetizers, $5 wine and $6 cocktails to choose from. Because it was someone in our party's first time to try Via 313, the waiter brought over a complementary order of cheese bread with marinara sauce to start the meal. Had the Omnivore Detroit style pizza with natural casing Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushroom, Onion, Green Pepper. I removed the onion and green pepper and added olives. The pizza had a nice crispy crust and generous amounts of cheese and toppings. I enjoyed the pizza very much.

What a place!!! My wife and I were in town for a concert and saw this place and decided to stop. We are so glad we did. The staff is amazing and so friendly! The pizza is some of the best Detroit style I have ever had anywhere! Wish they would combine of these close to where we live!!!

    Meatball appetizer

My husband and I had lunch this past Sat at the Oak Hill Via 313. This is the usual Via location that we go to. We were told to seat ourselves as soon as we entered and our waiter was attentive from the start. We ordered the meatball appetizer. The marina sauce is amazing. Wonderful flavor full of spices, like homemade. Loved the seasoning on the toast that comes with the meatballs. My only complaint is that they are usually served steaming hot, but these were barely room temperature. We decided to order the January featured pizza-- a small Triple Threat. It comes with three kinds of pepperoni, including jalapeno pepperoni. The pizza arrived with its usual yummy caramelized edges, but it was not steaming hot like it usually is. I was a bit disappointed in the pizza because you couldn't even taste the jalapeño flavor at all. We normally order the Omnivore and will definitely go back to that the next time we go there. Overall, we were pleased with the service and pace of the meal. The music playing was also fabulous. Great blend of classic rock and grunge. The main thing that kept us from being totally satisfied is that neither our appetizer nor our pizza were hot at all.

I love Via 313! Every time we come our pizza is always fresh and hot - check out the cheese pull! I'm a big fan of their Detroit style pizza, the cheese crunch around the crust really ties it together for me. Our service this time was very quick and attentive, we got a good amount of refills. I can't speak much on ambiance of this location since we went right at opening but in general we always have a good time at Via. I definitely recommend getting Superman ice cream (not pictured this time) since they get it from Michigan (I believe), so it has the actual classic flavors and is not just colored vanilla ice cream. My favorite!

Possibly one of the best shaker Mexican martinis in Austin!

This is hands-down the best pizza parlor in my 66 years life experience. Just went in again today, first visit after the new remodel. Was immediately greeted by friendly people at the bar, I ordered the Mexican martini, shaker style, and I even got a choice to get it Adult style with olive juice, which I immediately opted for. I don't know who the young lady bartender is, but they better keep her! This was about the best dry Mexican martini I have ever had! Dry, smooth, and strong! And the olive was not too salty. It was about as perfect as it can get! I took the pizza and salad home, And as usual the via 313 magic on the pan Pizza does not let me down! The salad was also perfect ( don't forget to order the croutons and Parmesan crisps on the side if you are getting it to go )This really is the best pizza on the planet and I will be going back again and again and again for more!

    The overcooked pizza

I would give it a two but my servers were great-both of them named "Grace". I originally ordered the funkadelic chicken. The chicken simply did not look fresh and it also appeared dry and without seasonings. However, the overall pizza looked good. I told the waiting staff at the bar that I don't like the way the chicken looks and she informed me that she would grab a manager. The manager, Travis comes out and I give him the same explanation above and he tells me the chicken is packaged but not frozen and that he would discount me for the chicken so they don't waste a pizza- excuse me?!?! No, I don't want the pizza as I'm not going to eat the chicken. I ordered basically the same pizza without the chicken and it came out completely overcooked. I'm wondering why Travis didn't ensure that the pizza was correct knowing I didn't have a good experience. It also took terribly long for the pizza to come out. The manager, Travis never came back to follow up with me. However, Grace was amazing and apologized after she noticed the pizza and that it was over cooked. I'm almost convinced they took the chicken off and used the same crust. I'm not sure if I'll returned due to management or lack there off. If I do, it will be because the "Grace" of God.

The Hawaiian / bruschetta fig half and half

You know, when it comes to pizza, I am very picky. That said I did enjoy the vibes of Via 313 when I went here with my friend. It's not the fanciest pizza place by any means, but I do appreciate all the options that they have on their menu (they do a good job with variety). I had the half and half topping pizza and chose half the Hawaiian and half the fig/bruschetta and balsamic vinaigrette. I really enjoyed the fig combo with the bruschetta and the vinaigrette, it was pretty tasty, but it's not my favorite pizza that I've ever had. The prices were pretty reasonable for the amount that you get. Overall, I did enjoy the 313, I wouldn't seek it out over other places, but I do like more but I think it's a good place to try if you're in or around Austin.

Trash cheeseless pizza we didn't order
    Emma T.

Ordered a dairy free cheese pizza, paid extra for the dairy free cheese, received a pizza with no cheese. It was a flimsy piece of dough that was barely cooked enough mmmmm. We also ordered Brussel sprouts that were really overpriced for the small portion of both mushy and undercooked in the middle sprouts. We didn't receive a refund for the non existent dairy free cheese. Maybe we have higher standards because we're from LA but this place was trash

We waited maybe 20 minutes to order then another 45 minutes for food, which wasn't that bad for a busy Friday night. We were crowded outside, and we didn't really have enough table or chair space. That's to be expected when we descended upon the restaurant with such a large group. For six people, we ordered three pizzas to share. We definitely could have shared with more people because we had some pizza left over. We got The Works, Shroomin' Goat, and Texas Chicken Ranch pizzas. The Texas Chicken Ranch was by far our favourite. It was really good, while the other two were alright. The crust was weirdly bubbly and amorphous looking. There was a lot of crust. The Works was okay. The sauce and meat weren't particularly tasty. The Shroomin' Goat was a vegetarian pizza with a lot of arugula, which is not my type of pizza, but our vegetarian friend said it was okay. Great vibes at Pinthouse overall though, and I have enjoyed their other pizzas in the past.

There is nothing more delectable than their unique and unbelievable slices of pizza. On top of that, their Caesar salad, and everything else in between is incredible as well. The only "issue" with Allday in Hyde Park is that you are always waiting in line. Their location in Hyde Park is their second location and is their most popular by far. Though the wait in line at any hour is worth it. Sometimes you just don't want to make that commitment. That's where their location in Terrytown shows up as the true superstar. Located right off of Lake Austin, the Allday Pizza is attached to Flo's Wine Bar and Bottle Shop as a walk up window. There isn't a lot of parking at Flo's, but plenty of free street parking right next to Allday on Pecos Street. What is crazy is that when we walked in at 12:15 PM on Sunday, might I add, there was no line to order. Plenty of people going to town on their pizza, but no line to order. This was incredible. In Hyde Park, a 12:15 PM arrival would mean a 1:30 PM meal. Not here! The outdoor space is shaded and well covered which was great for a rainy day like today was. You can also sit inside Flo's with your pizza and enjoy some wine alongside it. You can do no wrong here! Another reason I wanted to go to the Terrytown location was because unlike Hyde Park, they serve by the slice cuts of the Cacio E Pepe that I've been dying to try. After our order, we grabbed some plates, cups of water and napkins, and our food was ready in mere seconds. I had a slice of the Stracciatella, the Pep & Pepp, and of course, the Cacio E Pepe. The Stracciatella is creamy and delightful and the Pep & Pepp has a minor kick but really balances against the Stracciatella. The Cacio E Pepe was fantastic. No tomato sauce, but the peppery flavor (that you would expect in a cheese and pepper pizza) was outstanding. It tasted like a well done sauce on crust. My girlfriend got a Tomato Tomatoe that I tried a bite of and was impressed. The lemon pepper panko is just like the one included in the MVP Caesar Salad and it really did a lot of heavy lifting in the slice because it is simply so incredible. The salad which I got a bite of is delectable. How do the greens taste so fresh? Why is the dressing so delightful? It's still the best Caesar I've ever had. Because there was no line, we indulged a bit and got a Dirt Cup to share for dessert. It consisted of their Dark Chocolate Soft Serve, chocolate sauce, an Oreo crumble made in-house, and gummy worms. The soft serve gelato is nuts. I haven't had it at the Hyde location and this was my first impression. What a star on its own. I have not had a single bad menu item at Allday. You can't go wrong. Hyde Park's location might feel a little more sophisticated with its beautiful architecture, full bar with wines, cocktails, and beers on draft, and a little bit more expansive of a menu, but the Terrytown location feels a little more peaceful. It is in a beautiful area of Austin and the ability to arrive and be done with a meal in about 45 minutes is magical. I think Allday in Terrytown might take over the Hyde Park location as my favorite restaurant in Austin, but it's a close race like debating if Wemby or SGA deserves the MVP more. Both are ceiling raisers and the best food you can have in Austin. RIYL: The best food you can have in Austin with little to no wait.

They're especially known for their Roman-style pizza so I highly recommend giving it a try. As for flavors, you really can't go wrong but the standouts for me were the Potato, Chicken Parm and Lasagna slices. They also serve calzones, New York-style pizza, gelato and wine, so there's truly something for everyone. The pizza is priced by the slice, which makes it easy to mix and match like I did, though you can also order a full pie. I will say this definitely isn't cheap pizza, but you're absolutely paying for quality ingredients and incredible flavor. I ended up taking mine to go, but they do have a few tables inside and outside if you want to dine in. With plenty of parking, fast service and mind-blowing flavors what more could you ask for from a pizza spot?

Baldinucci Pizza Romana on Bee Caves Road (next door to Flower Child) is a great pizzaria…read more Baldinucci reminds me of being in Florence, Italy with this charmingly small size and authentically Italian music playing in the background. Two things grab you immediately, the variety of pizzas available and other offerings such as gelato (yes! Gelato...so uniquely Italian). The Roman style slices were light, airy, and crisp. In addition, they also serve New York-style pizza pies as a classic pizza offering. Customers can elect to have a whole pizza, a variety of pizza slices to equal a whole pizza or pizza by the slice. Literally, even the most discerning palate can find can pizza at this location - vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options...yes...traditional selections and creative combinations...yes! You can taste the exquisite quality of the ingredients, from the crust to the toppings. We ordered the Italian sausage and pepper pizza. For a person who does not eat a lot of pizza, this pizza was delicious. The Baldinucci vibe was uniquely European...families sitting outside enjoy pizza and all the trimmings along with friends, colleagues and family members also dining inside. There was a constant stream of customers picking up "to-go" orders as well. While in route, we got a bit lost circling the Randall parking lot twice. Once we reached staff, they were so helpful to point out a major landmark, which helped navigate us to the building. Excellent dining experience...
