This is one of our go to places for pizza and it never disappoints. We had the Meatballs for an appetizer. They are really delicious. The meatballs are cooked and seasoned just right, but what makes this so good, is the marinara sauce. It's not your typical "out of the jar" sauce. It tastes like they made it from scratch. I don't know if they did or not...I just know it's dang good. We ordered the Triple Threat Detroit Style Pizza. If you like pepperonis and a little spicy, you'll like this pizza. It was cooked perfectly, with a crispy crust, three different kinds of pepperonis with the edges a little crispy, lots of gooey cheese and delicious marinara sauce. It's so good. The service was excellent. The hostess greeted and welcomed us seated us very quietly. The server came over and welcomed us in and took our drink orders very quickly. He was prompt to take our appetizer and entree order. He brought our appetizer of meatballs out first. When we were finishing up our appetizer he brought our pizza out. He was very attentive and made sure we didn't run out of drinks and had everything we needed. The restaurant is very quaint with a laid back feeling. They have a couple of big screen TV's so you can cheer on your favorite sports team. The restaurant is very clean. This is a nice place to go and enjoy a cold one and chow down on some delicious pizza. We'll continue to be returning customers. read more

Via 313 delivered as always with the best gluten-free pizza around! At other locations I am used to preparing for slow service and a long wait for my gluten-free pizza while everyone else finishes their regular crust that came out long before mine. This location provided an entirely new experience with the same Detroit homestyle ambiance! Our server AJ was amazing and kept checking on us throughout the evening, even with a busy restaurant on a Saturday night. The rest of the staff supported with bringing out the gluten free and regular pizzas at the same time while being sure to specify the gluten free one with allergy precautions taken. They even made a gluten free version of the cinnamon sticks dessert! This will be the only Via 313 location I will be visiting from now on! read more

It's been 8 years since I last reviewed Via 313 and I still love it just as much as I did before. But now, it's had a makeover with more, comfortable seating. I like how they have a monthly cocktail menu, though I'm still sad they haven't brought back the Spaghetti Western from winter 2024. Currently the Hot Honey Marg and Apple Charlie's Old Fashioned is the fave. We have really gotten to know one of the waiters well (Ryan) and ask to be seated in his section every time because he's so nice and just a really good server. We can also trust that Ryan will give us solid recommendations when we want to try new cocktails. The Detroiter and Omnivore are still my favorite pizzas to order. read more

Via 313 in OakHill serves Detroit-style pizza that is known for its rectangular shape and sauce across the top. I love this type of pizza because the cheese and toppings are spread to the very edge and you are not stuck with empty crust. The focaccia-like dough develops a golden crunch on the bottom. They also have bar style pizza, appetizers and salads. When we arrived, we were greeted and accompanied to a table in the dining area. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating and make recommendations for the first timers in out party. There is also a bar area with a variety of beer, cocktail and wine. We went during the happy hour and they had several drink specials and I tried the white peach sangria. It wasn't a typical wine sangria as I am accustomed to but was crafted by the bartender. There were other $5 appetizers, $5 wine and $6 cocktails to choose from. Because it was someone in our party's first time to try Via 313, the waiter brought over a complementary order of cheese bread with marinara sauce to start the meal. Had the Omnivore Detroit style pizza with natural casing Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushroom, Onion, Green Pepper. I removed the onion and green pepper and added olives. The pizza had a nice crispy crust and generous amounts of cheese and toppings. I enjoyed the pizza very much. read more

My husband and I had lunch this past Sat at the Oak Hill Via 313. This is the usual Via location that we go to. We were told to seat ourselves as soon as we entered and our waiter was attentive from the start. We ordered the meatball appetizer. The marina sauce is amazing. Wonderful flavor full of spices, like homemade. Loved the seasoning on the toast that comes with the meatballs. My only complaint is that they are usually served steaming hot, but these were barely room temperature. We decided to order the January featured pizza-- a small Triple Threat. It comes with three kinds of pepperoni, including jalapeno pepperoni. The pizza arrived with its usual yummy caramelized edges, but it was not steaming hot like it usually is. I was a bit disappointed in the pizza because you couldn't even taste the jalapeño flavor at all. We normally order the Omnivore and will definitely go back to that the next time we go there. Overall, we were pleased with the service and pace of the meal. The music playing was also fabulous. Great blend of classic rock and grunge. The main thing that kept us from being totally satisfied is that neither our appetizer nor our pizza were hot at all. read more

I love Via 313! Every time we come our pizza is always fresh and hot - check out the cheese pull! I'm a big fan of their Detroit style pizza, the cheese crunch around the crust really ties it together for me. Our service this time was very quick and attentive, we got a good amount of refills. I can't speak much on ambiance of this location since we went right at opening but in general we always have a good time at Via. I definitely recommend getting Superman ice cream (not pictured this time) since they get it from Michigan (I believe), so it has the actual classic flavors and is not just colored vanilla ice cream. The pizza was so good that while we were out in another part of time we had to eat here again. The gluten free pizza tasted as good the second time as it did the first. We had the gluten free Detroiter with all of the pepperoni and the gluten free four cheese pizza. Both were amazing, and I will enjoy them both again. The service was great! This is hands-down the best pizza parlor in my 66 years life experience. Just went in again today, first visit after the new remodel. Was immediately greeted by friendly people at the bar, I ordered the Mexican martini, shaker style, and I even got a choice to get it Adult style with olive juice, which I immediately opted for. I don't know who the young lady bartender is, but they better keep her! This was about the best dry Mexican martini I have ever had! Dry, smooth, and strong! And the olive was not too salty. It was about as perfect as it can get! I took the pizza and salad home, And as usual the via 313 magic on the pan Pizza does not let me down! I would give it a two but my servers were great-both of them named "Grace". I originally ordered the funkadelic chicken. The chicken simply did not look fresh and it also appeared dry and without seasonings. However, the overall pizza looked good. I told the waiting staff at the bar that I don't like the way the chicken looks and she informed me that she would grab a manager. The manager, Travis comes out and I give him the same explanation above and he tells me the chicken is packaged but not frozen and that he would discount me for the chicken so they don't waste a pizza- excuse me?!?! No, I don't want the pizza as I'm not going to eat the chicken. I ordered basically the same pizza without the chicken and it came out completely overcooked. I'm wondering why Travis didn't ensure that the pizza was correct knowing I didn't have a good experience. It also took terribly long for the pizza to come out. The manager, Travis never came back to follow up with me. However, Grace was amazing and apologized after she noticed the pizza and that it was over cooked. You know, when it comes to pizza, I am very picky. That said I did enjoy the vibes of Via 313 when I went here with my friend. It's not the fanciest pizza place by any means, but I do appreciate all the options that they have on their menu (they do a good job with variety). I had the half and half topping pizza and chose half the Hawaiian and half the fig/bruschetta and balsamic vinaigrette. I really enjoyed the fig combo with the bruschetta and the vinaigrette, it was pretty tasty, but it's not my favorite pizza that I've ever had. The prices were pretty reasonable for the amount that you get. Overall, I did enjoy the 313, I wouldn't seek it out over other places, but I do like more but I think it's a good place to try if you're in or around Austin. read more

As we were visiting the Lake Travis area we stopped by this location on our way back home. We had their Detroit style pizza, cheese, and the prosciutto pizza w basalmic glaze. We also tried their roasted broccoli and cauliflower which was actually a hit with our kids. The service was awesome and our waiter gave us a free cheese bread to try on the house since it was our first time. Great place for groups and families. Love their decor and bar concept. All the pizza we tried there was delicious with the pleasing texture of the bread. Both chewy and crispy and held up well to the quality toppings. However the best pizza from there was the one I tried after I got home, their bar veggie pizza. Amazing!! This was the perfect cheesy pizza I've been searching for! I am usually not a big fan of thin crust pizza so this was perfect since it's thicker and more like a Chicago style pizza. Very cheesy and fulfilling. Four pieces were enough to feed two people. We also tried our friend's pineapple/pepperoni pizza and it was also great. You can't go wrong with what you order here. I arrived in Austin at the airport with rental car in tow around 9PM. I really wanted to grab some tex mex from a food truck, but it was too late and a lot of options on my list were closed for the evening. Let's get the good stuff out there first: 1. Service- Ashley is amazing. We love her. Please make sure she is recognized for amazing service. 2. The food here is always on point. Bad stuff: Removing the extra bar seats in the dining area was a huge mistake. You guys went from close to 20 bar seats down to 8. No bueno. My girlfriend and I go here at least once or twice per month. Every time we go, there are generally more people at the bar seats than are seated at tables in the dining area. I get it, we can sit at a table if we want, but we don't want that. We prefer sitting at the bar because we love Ashley. The bar seat availability is now cut by 50% and the seats are always full, which is great for you guys, but sucks for customers like us who come in once or twice per month and just really want to sit in a bar seat. We walked in last night to see all seats full and left because of this. Again- all bar seats were full (8) and there were only two tables occupied in the dining room (probably about 6 customers). I'm sure the opinion of two customers doesn't mean much in the grand scale of things, but something we used to really look forward to at a place we love is no longer something we look forward to. Owning and managing a restaurant isn't easy, but we strongly urge you to ask your customers and staff for feedback regarding this change. I'm sure you will hear some bluntly honest opinions. Prior to making drastic changes like this in the future, you should seek feedback from your bar/wait staff as they are your front line doing the work and will have very blunt and honest opinions about these kinds of changes. Still love you guys- but this change wasn't needed. read more

Out of towners tried Via 313 for the first time on a Thursday evening. Staff was super nice. We had never had Detroit style pizza. We tried the Omnivore and it was delicious. Staff brought us complimentary cheese bread b/c it was our first visit, that was awesome. The red sauce is so good. I like how it's on top of the pizza. The Italian sausage was excellent. Our 12 year old had a regular bar style cheese pizza (thin crust) and it was just ok. Definitely not their specialty so stick with the Detroit style. The staff is what took this review from 4 to 5 stars. Also if you have leftovers of the Detroit style pizza, make sure to reheat in air fryer or oven (not microwave). read more

What this little pizza parlor lacks in ambiance is totally made up for with its food. And really, that's the bottom line, isn't it? Salads were ordered, and my Caesar salad was the best I've had in quite a while. Crispy romaine, house made dressing that included anchovies (not that you could define, Andy our waiter told me they were there), lots of crunchy croutons, and a Parmesan crisp. So delicious; I ate it all. In order to fully understand the thick vs thin debate, we ordered one of each: the Detroit style Herbivore (Mushroom, Onion, Green Pepper, Black Olives with jalapenos added) and The Stooges, bar style pizza (Baby Spinach, Marinated Artichokes, Shallot, and Parmesan Crisps). The Detroit style crust was thicker, but it was light and fluffy and the amount of bread was balanced perfectly with the generous toppings on the pie. The sauce on both pies was delicious (and the whole restaurant smelled heavenly). The bar style pizza was just as delicious and I really loved the heavy sprinkling of crumbled Parmesan crisp that covered it. Honestly, I could not decide which was better so the only true winner today was me, since I got to enjoy a slice of both pizzas! I honestly thought I was a died-in-the-wool thin-crust kinda girl, but after trying the Detroit style pizza at Via 313, I can see how this narrow minded point of view has kept me from enjoy pizza life to the fullest. Wow! Wow! Wow! The best pizza I have ever eaten, hands down. That is not hyperbolic either. Arrived about 4:40, right at shift change and was worried food and service would suffer. Seated quickly and server delivered menus and took drink order. Place was quiet, a little disheveled, especially the floor. Not dirty buy no means, just looked like a busy afternoon had occurred. We ordered a Cesar salad to split and a 8 square "carnivore", Detroit style Pizza. All meat with cheese and sauce. The salad was fresh and crispy, not overdressed at all. Parmesan crisp was wonderfully flavorful. The pizza... came out on metal serving plate; hot, melty top and crispy bottom. Topping were thick and smelled wonderful. Took a bite and was in heaven. The single best crust I've ever eaten. It is magical. The sauce is spread across the top of the pizza, on top of the cheese and toppings and I have to say, it is a great way to make a pizza. I will return here every chance I get. There was a heavy take out business going on the entire time we were there. I wonder if they will deliver 190 miles away? read more
