I wish I could give 3.5 stars, but I opted for 4 instead of 3. This place is super cute and has a lot of character. It is a neat place to read or hang out with a friend. They recently expanded into another room that used to be a little store. Those are the positives. I've visited this place a few times and have never been super impressed. I visited today with a friend. My biggest complaint is their prices, they are super high. I do understand that it is difficult for small businesses to compete with the big chains and i try to support them even though I know their prices are going to be higher. But, I expect something in return - better quality and better service. Today I got a large coffee and a small scone and it was over $8. That's fine, but I want good food and great coffee. I didn't get either. The scone was okay (not great) and the coffee was meh. One time I went, the coffee was not drinkable and I had to throw it away. The customer service is also meh. I wouldn't call them friendly, just there doing their job. I wish I could say more positives about this place because I really want to love it. read more

3.5 overall - here's the bullet points - This is a Christian Cafe so expect Christian rock while visiting - Great place to sit and work - Good flavors and haven't been disappointed by the coffee - In two days of being here they do seem to goof up a lot. One lady waited 30 minutes for her order and on one visit they were out of nearly everything. - The food hasn't really rocked my world. Not an equal value of what you get to what you pay. So far I've ordered Oatmeal, Peanut Butter and Banana Toast, Waffles. (Further explanation below) Pros: Atmosphere - 5 Stars - the atmosphere is definitely the "vibe" you want in a coffee shop. Open, individual seating, music isn't too loud and hits that background work environment. Service - 4 Stars - Friendly, engaged and not complacent. I did have to remind them for one item, but past that they got everything up in a reasonable time for the quality and were very friendly. There aren't any employees just hanging around, playing on their phones, which is always great to see! Cleanliness - 4 stars! - It's always great to be in a clean place that is picked up, with clean tables. This place has met the mark and from bathrooms to counter was mostly stocked and clean. The reason I give 4 out of 5 is because at the end of the counter in a silverware caddy that they haven't replaced forks or knives. When another customer asked for a fork they were able to give him the silverware, but didn't refill the caddy to help any of the other customers. Maybe they couldn't put those two items out for some reason, but airing on the side of caution I couldn't give a full 5. Cons: What I ordered over two days. Waffles - they were out of batter Peanut Butter Banana Toast Espresso Oatmeal with Fresh Fruit - Food: We visit many a coffee shop from East coast to West and there are the two things I guage for food. 1. Is the quality worth the price and wait time. 2. Flavor of course. Day 1: I ordered a bowl of oatmeal with fresh fruit and an espresso. The presentation of both was great. My bowl of oatmeal came out with beautiful rows of blueberries, strawberries and bananas. AWESOME. First, the espresso. Espresso should take like full bodied coffee that is very smooth and strong. If you ever have espresso that tastes burnt then the coffee shop might not be cleaning the machine thoroughly or making it properly. Unfortunately that is how the espresso here tastes. Now, that's just for the espresso. I've also tried their cold brew and that was really DELICIOUS, so just because one isn't perfect certainly doesn't mean that it's all bad. Second, oatmeal. Yes, the bowl of oatmeal looked awesome, however, with the first bite I realized it was quick oats - pasty with hot water and fruit on top. Now, I might be spoiled as I frequent another coffee shop that has amazing Old Fashioned Oatmeal that, yes takes 10 minutes to make, but I come back for it time and again. I won't do the same here. This is preference as I don't like the taste of quick oats and I also can't justify the margin of quick oats when paying $3-$6 for them here. Day 2: The claim to fame, said loosely, for this cafe is their toast. It's a $4-$6 two slices of bread covered in some topping. Automatically that doesn't nockmy socks off, but they were out of waffles and you've already heard about the oatmeal. So I tried the peanut butter with bananas and, that's about it. It's $4 worth of toast and toppings. While eating it I decided it wasn't worth the cost and regretted not running somewhere else to grab breakfast. Other Note: - Music: I'm not against Christian rock, but it doesn't set the best coffeehouse vibe for others who won't want to listen to how great Jesus is every 3-5 minutes for 4-6 hours. I'd recommend a good mix of coffeehouse lo-fi hip hop on Spotify or something that fits better. Overall, I love the atmosphere and lattes, but can't say I'm impressed with much else. We walked in and we're really impressed by how beloved this coffee shop was by so many. It was a beautiful location inside and out, and had plenty of patrons to appreciate it. My family and I really enjoyed our coffees and the pricing wasn't bad at all. When I had asked about the blend of espresso (purely out of curiosity as I had never had espresso that tasted like it and it was quite nice) The barista looked annoyed that I would ask about it and was a little bit condescending when we had discussed it. Our entire family was a little taken back by the response. We did talk with other locals who had said that on occasion, that was typical behavior, but the coffee was good, and they said to give it another chance without the expectation of friendliness. The drink was a fantastic latte, and my family enjoyed their drinks, it was just the way we were spoken to that was a bummer. read more

I think my favorite part of this place was seeing how busy it was! I came in around noon on a Saturday and it was really hopping. There were lots of folks sitting around having coffee and it truly was a cool vibe. I had a plain old coffee, the desire to save calories kept me from getting something fancy. The barista offered light or dark roast, so that was cool. Of course, I had the dark! It was a little disappointing to only see sugar, honey, and stevia as sweetening options. I appreciate the health-conscious offerings, but what if you are looking for Splenda, Equal, or Sweet-n-Low? Those are my favorites. Anyway, I found a comfy couch in the corner and read for a white with a wobbly table for my coffee. The exposed brick on a town square is such a great feeling, the decor was very well done. $3 is a bit high for plain coffee, but the atmosphere makes up for it. It shares space with a wine bar/natural lotions spot, so that side of the cafe feels kind of cluttered. Maybe it's not always open between the two stores, I wasn't sure what the set-up really was. Outstanding coffee shop! I've been coming since shortly after they opened several years ago. Locally owned and operated and the coffee is roasted locally as well. They make practically everything from scratch and are committed to customers having a great experience and a cozy place to enjoy. Every time I have come in the past few weeks, I've observed only fully masked employees. I'm always greeted warmly and there is plenty of room for social distance (especially since Herb and Olive market closed). Lovely coffee shop. Though it is incredibly large and cavernous and all of it's numerous tables and chairs were being used, I have never been in a quieter coffee shop; all groups of people were talking to each other quietly- how refreshing! As mentioned, there are loads of seating options: workspace tables, comfy couches and chairs, and a chess table. The seating spills into an attached market of healthful items. Now for the food and coffee. They had about 8-10 pastries to choose from, we selected an exceptionally large blueberry muffin which was tasty if not ever so slightly dry. Other breakfast choices included smoothies, waffles, and a fruit bowl. The fruit bowl was an açaí bowl with granola, coconut and, of course, fruit. It was quite tasty and exceedingly large, I'd have preferred it not be ice cold and I'd wish for more fruit, it was beautifully presented. Vibe Coffee is a surprisingly lively place for a town as small as Elizabethtown. Even though it was a Sunday evening, the place was full of people working, chatting, reading, and more. The pressed metal ceiling, exposed brick, wood paneling, and edison-bulb lighting combine to make an atmosphere that is both contemporary, and blends well with the history of the town itself. I was also pleasantly surprised that my coffee came out at a drinkable temperature, which practically never happens even at good cafes. If you happen to be interested, there's also a health foods store attached, with spices, CBD products, locally sourced honey, and various meats available. I had a white mocha latte, which was tasty - not too sweet, but still pleasantly so. My girlfriend, Lacey, had a veloce (pronounced vel-ō-chey), which was a shot glass with heavy whipping cream, flavored syrup, and espresso. She said it was quite good, a nice quick drink. Awesome, awesome, and awesome! I visited here about a year ago when it was hot out and it was empty. I know this place was kinda new at the time. It's a great addition to the downtown area and it definitely attracts shopper moms with their daughters and lots of hipsters. My friend actually knew one of the baristas. They were all hipsters and just really kind-hearted. It was busy when I walked in around maybe 2 or 3 in the afternoon on a Monday. Lots of young people meeting up with friends or on their laptops. I ordered the Aztec mocha latte with almond milk which I loved! It's got a nice spice at first but as you drink it, it tastes a lot like gingerbread. My friends tried the Belgium white chocolate latte which tasted pretty light on the flavor and kind of milky, and the lavender vanilla latte. Really good as well! I'd love to try a regular coffee next time just to see what it actually tastes like. They also offer Sunergos coffee from Louisville here which is pretty cool! I love the space and the fact that it's connected to a spice and oil shop. The menu is up on the whole wall facing the counter and the desserts are huge portions. Lots of tables and chairs here. Some chairs were plastic and others were cute accent type chairs. I will add that I thought the coffee was pricey. For a small town, I expected cheap prices. But their smallest size is a 16oz which is generous so maybe that's why I paid a little over $5 for my drink. read more

Delicious, fantastic, amazing. Spare yourself some extra time for this gem! We got the Aztec mocha and the regular mocha. Both were fantastic but I highly recommend the Aztec mocha. They have almond milk and oat milk for those who have issues with dairy. Just make sure to catch the menu written on the wall in front of the register. There is plenty of room to sip, hangout, or even catch a game of chess. The space is very comfortable and not loud or cramped. Nice cozy coffee shop in the Elizabethtown square. It reminds me of the coffee shops in downtown Seattle before Starbucks became the coffee behemoth. The coffee was definitely quality and lattes, cappuccinos are well made by the baristas. I don't know for sure but the prices seemed about the same with Starbucks, but definitely tasted better. They also have some delicious baked goods. This coffee shop is in disarray and is poorly designed. . Upon waiting for much too long I finally was able to order a hot beverage that was stale and took forever to make. Not only did it taste stale and watered down but was much too expensive for the poor quality. I was deeply disappointed. The design is unwelcoming and poorly designed. This was such a treat halfway through my trip between Nashville and Indianapolis. I was in need of a quick bathroom break and wifi for a conference call and voila, Vibe Coffee in Elizabethtown on Yelp hit the nail on the head. Their space located on the town square is super darling and gives off the historical vibes (see what I did there?) that Elizabethtown embodies - think exposed brick walls, old wooden floors and the feel of an old general store. In fact, the space is connected to a shop that sells wines and treats. I was already jacked up on some serious caffeine so I opted for a simple iced chai and a peanut butter cookie. The cookie reminded me off a classic Grandma's recipe = the perfect level of chewiness. So good, you guys. The chai was a simple tea bag but all that I needed. I wish we had eaten here, but we came after breakfast for a coffee. The large board makes it easy to see all the options. They also have a kids menu. The shop is decorated with art work for sale and there's tables inside and out. There's a large free parking lot right around the corner. This place is THE BEE's KNEEs! I love love love beautiful little coffee shops and it has been difficult living in the country without a fun place to enjoy some brew. I am from a place in California that is rife with sweet coffee shops... and Vibe has totally filled my void!! Their coffee and lattes are TASTY. Their sweet treats are actually worth eating! They make smoothies and really great açaí bowls! And they put real work into their ingredients/creations... homemade syrups, and my all-time favorite ham & cheese breakfast sandwiches (only served on Sundays in Elizabethtown). Let me tell you, I am PICKY. Picky about what I eat and how it is made. And Vibe is awesome enough to put real effort into being the best damn coffee shop around. Thank goodness for that! read more
