As my comforter was being washed at the next door laundromat, and it was lunchtime, Newtown Square Pizza seemed a logical place to go. This is a busy take out and delivery place, there is a small lobby with some chairs lined up along the wall and front windows. That's fine for me. I was greeted in a friendly way, took a printed menu and reviewed it. Decided on a bacon cheesesteak and a soda. Ten minutes later my sandwich was done. I headed back to the laundromat with it, and thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. There was plenty of bacon, broken into small pieces that were mixed with the abundant meat overflowing from the soft hoagie roll it was housed in. This place has okay food; good in a pinch. 1st mess-up; I ordered off yelp and the delivery driver double charged me. Told me my card didn't go through and then I gave him cash. He drove back and made it right. 2nd mistake; My order was missing an entire pizza for my daughter; so we had to wait until her pizza arrived before any of us could eat because she is 5 years old. Ordered a pepperoni pizza, bacon cheese fries, hot wings with extra hot sauce, and a 2 liter of soda. For starters I was on the phone with the delivery guy for 15 minutes trying to explain to him where I live, he obviously isn't from this area so this is how our dinner started out. Then I opened the wings to see there is no extra hot sauce on them but definitely was charged for it. Next open the fries, which barely had any bacon on them and were a soggy mess. Pizza was ok, but I'm sure it would have been better if the delivery didn't take so long. Completely disappointed tonight. read more

This place changed owners a few years back. Quality steadily decreased. We kept going for a while, but could no longer justify it after several mistakes or shortchanges on our orders. They weren't as friendly as before, and didn't offer the options for substitutions that the old establishment did. What we were forced to order was not the same quality, and not made the way we like it. Sorry to see the old place change so much. Just not for us anymore. PS - The girl who answered the phone for the longest time (may or may not still be there) would always argue me on how to pronounce "gyro." I would say "year-oh," which, sorry, is the correct way to say it. And she would say "guy-row" back to me, which is wrong. She would say it aggressively, like I was the stupid one. She needs to look up how to pronounce gyro on Google. There is a YouTube video telling you how to say it right -- YEAR-OH!!!!! read more

The quality of the food has suffered since it changed ownership a few years back. The pizza now has a tendency to be over cooked. And the steaks are lower quality. The Stromboli have way too much sauce in them and not enough filling. read more

Great local joint for the family "pizza night." We've ordered from Newtown Square Pizza a few times now, and they are pretty darn good. It ain't gourmet, knock-ya-down amazing pizza, but for that Friday night when you just don't have the energy to cook, or when your kid comes home with five of his hungry friends - this is a great place. It's been over 4 years since my initial review and since I'm still continuously eating here I figured it could use an update. I love the food here but what I value even more is there service and appreciation for their customers. Out of the whole time I've been eating here I've never had any dramatic issues but here's a quick example of their customer service. One time I called in and ordered a large plain pizza and was told it should be delivered in about 30 minutes mind you this was a Friday around dinner time when I'm sure they were insanely busy. About 45 minutes later I get a phone call from the manager who apologizes that my order is running a little bit late and he personally came and delivered my pizza at NO CHARGE. I had no problem with the pizza being 15 minutes late especially on a busy Friday evening. So out of over 4 years of eating here that's the only so-called problem I've ever had and they did more than made up for it. Not only that but I continuously get $10 off coupons in my email and also just received a coupon for my birthday for a free appetizer. This place is just ahead of the game in my opinion and have continually earned my service and kept me a happy customer. Thank you for the great service read more

So many chances, but never again. I already am not a fan of the frozen pre made food but the service is just as bad the past few times. My usual spot closes at 8pm so we ordered 6 cheesesteaks from Newtown square for pick up tonight. I'm guessing you ran out of foil and paper wrappers, because you just put all 6 cheesesteaks in to go boxes. They were all cold as hell. Really wish I went myself to pick them up, cause I wouldn't of accepted them. If I wanted cold food I would of asked for a hoagie. Never ever again. I've always ordered their food for word events, and multiple times I've forgotten to keep the receipt or the tax deferred form was lost in translation. They have handled this issue several times professionally and patiently where many others would show frustration, a huge plus contributing to our commitment to use them as our primary caterers. Just moved to Newtown Square from West Chester and was a bit panicked that it would take me a few tries to find my favorite pizza place. Lucky for me, my first try was a winner! I have only ordered one pizza 3xs in two weeks. I will have to order some other items which I am hopeful will be as good as the Greek Pizza. When I do, I'll be sure to write an updated review. My job usually orders from here whenever they provide lunch for a meeting or just after a busy work day. Avg tasting pizza. For me, it's nothing to rave about but it's also not gross either. I like it for the most part. I received a coupon for a free appetizer this week for my bday. I got the cheesesteak egg rolls which came with huge ass steak fries. Tasted pretty good. I would prob order again! Only down side is it's just two small egg rolls cut in half with a lot of fries. Feel like there should be just one more egg roll since they're so small. I saw that the area was essentially a culinary food dessert, with the exception of the now-defunct Rouget. So in the end, we decided to order in and check out the pizza. Chicken Fingers [$5.35] Newton Square Pizza seemed to be the best option in terms of takeout/delivery pizza. And they certainly didn't disappoint on the chicken finger front. You wouldn't believe how crispy and flaky these birds were! The meat within was nicely moist and well-seasoned as well. These five large chicken fingers came accompanied with an appropriately large pat of BBQ sauce. Giant 18'' Square Pepperoni Pizza [$15.99] Go big or go home right? They've got typical Neapolitan pies, but I had to try the giant square pizza. And I'm glad I did! A huge 18 inch square came with the foundation of a buttery medium-to-thin crust. There was a nice spread of sweet and slightly tangy marinara, with properly melted all mozzarella over. A good portion of pepperoni was studded throughout to create a satisfying slice (or five). I haven't tried their traditional pies, but I'm looking forward to our next trip out here to check out those bad boys. I've got to give a shout out to the delivery guy. The salad was delicious and plenty of it!! I ordered a large fries and that won't happen again...steak cut, plenty of them and delicious!!! Def a small order next time if it's just for me. Service was quick and courteous!! The parking out front is a little sketchy but luckily I found a spot. For the finish: Italian Delite is right around the corner from me and is very good food!! I am a huge fan! When you want something in the middle of thin and deep dish - this is it! This place delivers and has around 2/3 tables when you want quick food that does not taste quick.
