I've been coming to this shop for a little over a year. Primarily seeing Oz but have seen his Pops too. Both are amazing. They are very intuitive and knows what looks good with your face/body type. I originally went for beard maintenance and then let him take over. He got my beard shaped the way I wanted and changed my hair style to more suit me more than my previous. After seeing him for about 3 months and how he got my beard looking the way I wanted, and I kinda just let him do my hair how he felt. And it was great. He has a natural talent. The shop has an old school vibe. Very "dude" like. Shop talk and sports is common. It's like your transported back the the way a barber shop should be. All in all, out of all the shops I have been to, this is by far the best and best environment. Did I mention the prices are great? Very realistic and affordable. I really wanted to like this place, it looks great inside. I called ahead to ask about availability for a quick haircut for my son. Nothing fancy. He has a modern mullet with a V in the back. We didn't need the top cut, just some texture and the sides shaved down with a #1. Unfortunately, the barber (the older dude) rushed through it. He didn't style it or take his time. He shaved one side, kind of half-heartedly, and thought that's all I wanted. When I told him I needed both sides done, he seemed annoyed. The whole thing took less than 15 minutes, and he still charged $30 for a really sloppy job. He did two quick snips on the top and called it "textured." Honestly, I feel ripped off. I wouldn't have minded paying that if he actually took the time to do it right and made the haircut look good. But the end result just wasn't it. read more

The vibe of this shop is chill, sports always on the tv, great conversation with Oz. Not like other places where you got profanity music and grown adults acting like thugs, not an environment where you would like to take your kids to get their haircut if they are younger. One of the many reasons I go here. He can pretty much talk about anything. I respect Oz not only as a barber but as a friend. We got same family values and aspiration as a family man. My sister brought her son here today, 05/04/23 @2pm. Never thought we would have encountered someone so rude and disrespectful. He didn't follow the way we described to him how we wanted his haircut, and he did it his own way. He started off by being judgemental and complaining her sons hair was dirty and long. He was always cutting my sister off when she would tell him about the way they wanted the haircut. We asked for a mullet with a taper and he straight out said OTHER BARBERS DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, so im assuming he didnt know how to do that haircut. I had previously called to ask about the prices and they told me $30. WE GOT CHARGED $40 AND HE CONTINUED TO SARCASTICALLY SAY "THAT'S CHEAP SINCE YOU TAKE YOUR SON ONCE A YEAR FOR A HAIRCUT" PLEASE LEARN HOW TO BE POLITE AND NON-JUDMENTAL. WACK ASF! My biggest problem with this shop is that the pops is too quick. As much as he's a pro with 30 years of experience, he charged me $30 for a low fade??? I'm looking at all the reviews and they said it was for $20. If you're gonna charge that, well at least take your sweet time to pay attention to the details of the levels. It's so obvious that the older guy doesn't care about the attention to detail, but rather the next "paycheck". It's upsetting how even the son did a better job from my perspective and took time on the customer. I highly advise just asking the cut from the son. It seemed like it's worth the wait when you get it from Ozzy. Pops can give good advice, but still he rude asf. I left unsatisfied and bitter about my cut. The levels of my cut could had been better. I grew up getting my hair cut in Pomona by a Vietnamese shop. I tried other mainstream places...namely Super Cuts, but I always went back to the Vietnamese place because they were so efficient and moved with such ease and confidence. At Super Cuts, I could feel exactly how novice the barbers were from their lack of finesse and hesitation. AND the final product really showed. With work and other stuff, I slowly tire of sacrificing the hour or two required to get my hair cut on weekends. So I decided to find a barber near my work. Through the Yelp search, there were 5 locations, all with great reviews. However, even though Vicentes was the furthest away, it had the most reviews and the best part: all were 5-star reviews. I had no trouble parking on the street. When I went in at 12:10 p.m., I was able to be seated immediately. Ozzy, Vicentes' son, took care of me. Ozzy's technique is particularly interesting. This is the first time I can ever say that I received a "hearty" haircut...and a hearty haircut is what I've been wanting my whole life. When my hair grows long, it's really messy and unruly. That's why I love getting my hair cut...it leaves me feeling clean and lighter...I don't get it cut for beautification...although that's a plus. Ozzy has the strength, finesse, fluidity, and technique required for the hearty haircut--really scraping and cutting that hair off my scalp but at the same time with the finesse and technique to sculpt some style into those unruly strands. Ozzy also told me something interesting about Asian hair. I had asked Ozzy when he was finished whether my hair is particularly hard to cut. After all, barbers have always told me that my hair is particularly difficult. Ozzy informed me that Asian hair is really straight, so any imperfections are magnified. That's all there is too it. So all you barbers out there who can't cut Asian hair--I guess you're just incompetent. lol For $12 it doesn't get any better. There are 3 stations, all seats face a generous 46" flatscreen HDTV. I went during lunch, no lines. Immediate seating. Hair cut took an hour. YMMV Lastly, normally I don't really enjoy talking to my barbers because I don't really enjoy talking at all. But Ozzy made me open up. I think it's because he's also a foodie. He told me about Tony's Little Italy pizza shop and Langers for sandwiches. I gotta look em up. Time for a road trip :) read more

Came in here for a basic cut and clean up. I have a special accommodation that I need a scissor cut on one side of my skull because it is prosthetic. First, you'd think they would have lighter hands when handling a prosthetic with five screws in my head. He grabbed my head like a football and jerked my neck this way and that. And the scissor cut? Didn't happen! I was just told that he knows what he's doing and he's been at this for thirty years. He was extremely quic and, about eight minutes and sixteen bucks later, my hair was STILL too long on the sides and sore. Definitely gonna get my cut from the son if I ever come back. UPDATE: went back shortly afterward and the son Ozzy hooked me up! Such a great guy. Refunded my money and completely fixed my cut up. Top notch guy right there. The shop itself is very well kept and gives a homely feel. There's always sports on the tv while you're waiting and it's always easy to strike up conversations with the barbers. Vicente is a barber who LISTENS. Most barbers I go to will pretend to listen to what I want and end up giving me a super tight fade that I did not ask for (got me looking like an egg head). When I first went into Vicente's shop he really listened to what I had to say and ended up turning my vision into a reality. Would 100% recommend if you are in the area (Hell, I dont live near the area anymore, and drive down 2-3 hours sometimes to get his service). Prices are a tad bit high, but given the economic market and that his business is family run, I would say its 100000% worth it! read more

Walked in to this joint after reading everyone's amazing reviews on the internet. I was next on old mans chair that i asked if he used a blade before he said yes. Okay fine, taper and beard cost me 20 bucks and I tipped 5 dollars extra as well, too bad my neck is still bleeding. Don't like how it came out. SECOND time it was slow in there ask for a 3 with a trim. he cuts my hair really fast makes the fade way too high. uses the machine to cut the top and makes it really short. Most importantly, Vincente asked me questions confirming what I wanted (e.g. "Are you sure you want the sides cut straight up instead of a blend? " and "Did you want the sideburns to be left long or did you want it tapered with the back?"). Attention-to-detail questions like these aren't asked by most barbers I've been to, and to ask these for a first time cut shows he really cares about what customers want. 10/10 would come back if I lived in SoCal, but I'd recommend here to anyone that wants a nice haircut. read more

It's a nice place with affordable cuts, no long waits and a very friendly barber. Most barbers don't even talk to you these days. Despite all the good things, I wasn't exactly thrilled with my haircut. The fade was nice but the barber messed up the lineup pretty bad. It ended up visibly uneven and wavy. I think the barber was probably used to either children or an older clientele with more conservative, old-fashioned hairstyles. When it comes to the the "new style" or "hip" haircuts I got the impression he wasn't too familiar with those. Or maybe I had a hair type he just wasn't used to cutting. I returned for another haircut this weekend. Ozzy was out (I don't think he works Mon and Tue) but his dad was in. First, he is VERY fast. It was kind of frightening how quickly he got through the two people ahead of me. In fact, when it was my term, I was a bit confused how he finished cutting my hair so quickly... this was by far the fastest haircut I have ever had in my life. However, the quality of the cut did not suffer in the slightest. I am very pleased with the haircut and he really did a great job. I wish this place was closer but I will definitely do my best to keep making the trek out here for a great haircut and a great price. read more

Starting coming here a few months ago. I'm very picky and was looking for a good barber and found TWO great barbers here (Ozzy & his father). They're both quick and gives you the haircut that you ask for. There's no parking lot, but I've always gotten street parking right in front with no problems. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes, but if you did, they have many magazines and a big screen TV with cable. ESPN was usually on when I was there. No complaints here. At least it's not the Oxygen channel or Lifetime! :o read more
